Probs reciving mail

I have 2 gmail accounts, and i dont recieve mail since yesterday and i cant figure out why. I already did a conexion doctor (window menu > conexion doctor) and says that everything its ok. The mail is loading and never ends. I also have problems sending mail. Anyone knows something about this?

Hey all, i am having a strange problem. I have recived mail on this computer before, but now i get an error message that says connection failed may not be able to connect to mail server. This is strange because i am connected to tbe net, and i can check my gmail online. Can anyone help

Open Mail. Highlight the mailbox(s) you wish to rebuild. Click on Mailbox from the menu bar. Click rebuild. That process takes a few minutes, normally. Frankly, I am not sure what it does, but it does "fix" problems on occasion. The mailbox "help" has a bit more information.

Error when reciving mail with alias

Hy,
In my SAP system I am able to send and recive emails already. But in some cases the incoming mail is refused.
If the mail is sent with <> the mail reaches SAP, if not it doesn't get into SAP. If I send a mail via Outlook to one SAP adress it gets into SAP. If the mail sent by Outlook uses a alias it is refused by the host.
For example. (consider the # as a @ in the example. The forum don't allow to publish emails)

mail to user#domain.com => results in connection dropped by remote host
rcpt to:user#trm.sap.pt
501 Syntax error
case 2)
mail to u201CAliasu201D <user#domain.com> => results in connection dropped by remote host

I need to receive mails using the alias. Is there a way ?

(1) my e-mail client is using JSP. So, hot to send file-attachments via jsp ?
Please specify example for attaching file(s) to a message object in JSP ( and only in JSP ).
I have used HTML <input type="file" .... > control , but don't know how to bring that file to the jsp file and then attach it to the message object.

Work flow - user is not reciving mail,once CREDIT MEMO submits for approval

Hi All,
Please find the issue as below.
User created the credit memo and submitted for approval. user is expecting the mail in his mail-box, once he submitted the credit memo for approval and same way once approver approved the credit memo, user is expecting mail such that credit memo has been approved.
He informed that previously he is receiving the mails as expected.
Now all of sudden he is not receiving mails.
I have checked work flow mailer, mailer is up and running.
I have gone through the wf_notifications table, here i can see that MAIL_STATUS column having value of "MAIL".
even i have gone through WF_USERS table this particular user is existing and status is "ACTIVE".
But user is not yet received any mail.
Kindly some one help me to sort out this issue.

I was gone through the details you have provided. every thing is fine as expected.
Later i have checked workflow mailer, it was down, due to that notifications are not reached to users/customers.once it is up and running mail notifications sent to respective users successfully.

Ipod touch prob w/ mail icon

my mail icon on ipod touch used to go directly to my mail. Now it leads to an error message: [ "cannot get mail." user name/password for Verizon is incorrect.]
But if I go in through Safari & Verizon site, etc. I can eventually access email. Is there a way to fix this?

Go to Settings>Mail>Verizon account and delete and reenter the password.
Next look for other errors in the settings.
Last, delete the account from the iPod and reenter the settings.

Never seen prob with mail only on iPad

I am having things show up on my iPad mail account. They say,"No Sender", "No Content", with a date stamp of 12/31/69. There is no " dot " to highlight so I can not delete them and I'm getting about 10-15 per day.

Try this and see of they disappear. Close the mail app completely and reboot the iPad.
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the mail icon. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Reciving mail via IMAP giving authentication error with valid details

Thanks to shannon,i changed the imap .. bt now error is with the connect method, the username,password,whcih iam passing as a parametre.Its giving error as authentication error, login failed.. but the username and password were corret..
store.connect(Host,username,password);
Host value iam passing is the server ipaddress,even i tried with 4 parameters including portas int type no use.
Please ,help to cross over this bug.

I phone prob. mail and notes

When I go to "settings", then "mail, contacts,....", then "account", it immediately kicks me back to the home screen. Same for "notes" app. I've tried rebooting and reset. All I know to do now is restore. I know I can back up Ipod functions, but can I save contacts and calendar? If so how?

Do you have automatic iCloud backups turned on? You seemed to have lost everything that would normally get back up to iCloud. Something like this happened to me with my contacts and calendars. I just waited a day, and literally overnight, iCloud fixed it's own glitch and put everything back on my phone. Give this a try before going any further.

IPhone doesn't send or recive mail

Ok so as of last Sunday, the 24th, I am no longer able to send or receive emails on my iPhone. It started saying that it could not connect to the server but now it says nothing. It searches for mail and then acts like there is none. I use inbox.com for email as well as gmail, both have stopped working. Also there is a corporate pop3 account I use that isn't working. This is also happening for my father, we are on a family plan together, both have inbox.com and the corporate.

I have been having the same problem intermittently. To work around the issue I reset the network connections. Go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. I think there is a problem when Fetching new mail with a low connection and then switching from one network coneection to the other. It has happened to me twice since I have gotten the phone. First you get a constan status that it is updating. Then after awhile it does not even do that. The reset clears it up. It is either a problem when switching form WiFi to 3G or 3G to WiFi in the middle of the Fetch IMAO.

Two probs: All mail rules stopped working, 'Empty' mail folders

Hi All,
I have two problems that began simultaneously:
1) All my rules have stopped working automatically. If I highlight an e-mail and select apply rules, then it will do it, but the rules don't apply as new mail comes to In box.
2) The number of unread messages next to the folder's name will be shown but the window itself will be blank. If I quit and restart, all the messages (new and old) will be there.
Why is it doing any of this, and how can I fix it?
The only relatively new thing regarding how my e-mail is handled is that I started using Thunderbird. If Tbird is the problem, how do I figure out if it's causing the conflict?
Silly me, I started using Tbird because it has emoticons, but it lacks all the other features I really like about Mail.

Quit Mail.
In your Home folder. open Library folder, open Mail folder in that, look for the Envelope Index, and drag it to the Desktop.
Then in your Home folder. open Library folder, open Caches folder in that, look for the Mail, and drag it to the Desktop.Move Envelope Index to the Desktop in...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Move this folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail

Probs with mail attachments

g'day everyone,
need some help with mail using mbp pro retina, please. am able to include video & pic attachments from iphoto by drag & drop, but all appears black & images are blank/empty when viewed by the receiver and my sent box. what am i doing wrong? cheers.

Probs with Mail app

I tried sending an email to 1125 recipeints but got it back in the Mail App and I cannot "quit Mail" nor can I "x" out of the window. This is what I got...
Gmail cannot send the email
The server “smtp.gmail.com” did not recognize the following recipients:
This was only a small amount obviously and now the window is stuck open and I cannot proceed further. I have shut down the app but still cannot get rid of this window. Any help appreciated.

Probs with mail retrieval

I get this message with about 10 emails

How do I retrieve these? I don't understand what it is saying. I went to web mail and the messages are not th ere. They came in today...thanks
