Probs with XMLParser for PL/SQL

Oracle 8.1.6, Solaris.
XMLParser v 1.0.2.
While loading the java archive named xmlparserv2.jar with the loadjava command, I constantly get the message
ORA-29547: Java system class not available: oracle/aurora/rdbms/Compiler
for some classes
can somebody tell me why?
I've pointed my CLASSPATH to the aurora.zip archive, but it won't work!
Please help, thanx!

It sounds like you have not properly run initjvm.sql to initialize the Oracle 8i JVM.
This needs to be done first before LoadJava will work.

  • NLS support in xmlparser for pl/sql??

    Hi,
    I am not able to create a DOMNode with NLS-Text between the tags of the node. I am using the Oracle xml parser for pl/sql. All I need to do is create the node - "<wish>Good Morning</wish>". The value - "Good Morning" needs to come from a variable of type nvarchar2. A call to the function xmldom.createTextNode gives the following compile time error - PLS-00561: character set mismatch on value for parameter 'DATA', which literally means that the "DATA" formal parameter takes in only a varchar2 and not an nvarchar2. I could not find any other function to create a text node, which accepts an nvarchar2 data. Does this mean that the xmlparser for pl/sql does not support NLS? Please help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vincent Morris.
    Procedure used for creating the node:
    create or replace procedure create_mynode is
    nls_text nvarchar2(50);
    doc xmldom.DOMDocument;
    node xmldom.DOMNode;
    element xmldom.DOMElement;
    text xmldom.DOMText;
    text_node xmldom.DOMNode;
    dummy xmldom.DOMNode;
    begin
    /* code for getting a DOMDocument into the variable doc
    nls_text:=n'Good Morning';
    element:=xmldom.createElement(doc, 'wish');
    node:=xmldom.makeNode(element);
    text:=xmldom.createTextNode(doc, nls_text); -- ERROR ON THIS LINE
    text_node:=xmldom.makeNode(text);
    dummy:=xmldom.appendChild(node,text_node);
    /* code for printing the tagname and value of the node contained in the variable 'node'
    end;

    declare
    doc xmldom.DOMDocument;
    nl xmldom.DOMNodeList;
    n xmldom.DOMNode;
    t xmldom.DOMNode;
    val VARCHAR2(30);
    begin
    doc := xmlparser.getDocument(p);
    nl := xmldom.getElementsByTagName(doc, '*');
    n := xmldom.item(nl, 1);
    t := xmldom.getFirstChild(n);
    val := UPPER(xmldom.getNodeValue(t));
    end;

  • Installing xmlparser for PL/SQL.

    I am installing the newest version of the Oracle xmlparser for
    PL/SQL, version 1.0.2.0.0, and I have a question. How can I
    install this tool into the database so that all users have access
    to the many objects it creates? In affect, I want to do a "public"
    installation rather than install it under multiple users.
    If this is not possible, then what commands to I need to
    execute to give public access to objects like "JAVA CLASS",
    etc.
    Thanks,
    - Jai

    I too would like to know. I just installed the XML Utilities and the only user who can see all of the code is SYSTEM.

    Ramesh,
    Have you referred to the samples provided in the 8.1.7 doc section at :
    http://technet.oracle.com/docs/products/oracle8i/doc_library/817_doc/appdev.817/a86030/adx24pap.htm
    In the above page, the link, "Using XML Parser for PL/SQL Examples in sample/" has sample code on using the
    xmlparser, xmldom and xslprocessor packages. These samples are provided as demos with the XDK s/w that
    normally gets installed in your ORACLE817_HOME/xdk directory.
    Hope that helps.

    If so, in which archive?

    Have you run the initjvm.sql file after creating the database.
    The script can be run manually (as SYS) (located in ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin). When this script is run, it loads the required java classes the database.
    After this run another script initplsj.sql (located in ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin).

    Install process doe SCCM2012
    Tried to install SCCM 2012 RC2 when logged in to SCCM Server as AD user account
    SCCMAdmin,  and when utilising the SCCM2012 SQL instance on
    32 bit server of SQL install proceeds barring warning about 8GB rec, for SQL Server. Then fails on PKI certificate issue. Installation (chose HTTP for MP). I beleive the PKI failure as install starts is
    due to the fact that SCCM 2012 needs its database server to b 64 bit ?
    Thus i then tried to install SCCM 2012 RC2 when logged in to SCCM Server as AD user account SCCMAdmin,  and
    when using the SCCM2012 SQL instance on
    64 bit server of SQL install proceeds but fails at checking stage and says:
    SQL Server sysadmin rights FAILED SQL3.Domain_Name
    Either the user account running Configuration Manager Setup does not have sysadmin SQL Server role permissions on the SQL Server instance selected for site database installation, or the SQL Server instance could not be contacted to verify permissions. Setup
    cannot continue.

    Site System to SQL Server communication  WARNING SCCM.Domain_Name
    A communication error has been detected between the specified site system and the site database computer. This error can occur when the site database server is offline or if a valid SPN has not been registered in Active Directory Domain Services for the SQL
    Server instance hosting the site database. Setup cannot continue.
    Why does the install of SCCM 2012 with 32 bit SQL proceed further than the install with 64 bit SQL, with the latter process failing as above error meesages show and yet both servers are set identically (apart from temporary turning off Firewall on the 64
    bit server) and during the install the Databse Server specified is accepted ?

    Thanks for the reply.
    I can connect via ODBC to the the 32 bit SQL Server and the 64 bit SQL Server from the SCCM Server
    The SQL Server Unit called SQL3 unit is a 64 bit SQL.
    The SQL Server Unit called SQL is only 32 bit, but at least gets past the final checking stage and the error messages about sysadmin rights and Site System to SQL Server communication problem, and then fails with PKI certificate error message.
    When trying to install SCCM specifying the 64 bit SQL Server as the Database Server it gives the 2 error messages at the final checking stage of the installation as listed.
    So as I said what is confusing is the fact that if the SCCM install uses the remote 32 bit SQL Server it passes the final checking (although fails with PKI certificate message) but the 64 bit SQL Server set up exactly the same apart from the Firewall being
    left off for the time being, fails at the final check stage with the 2 listed errors.
    If I use a local 64 bit SQL Server the installation is fine.
    Still would like to find out what cause the 2 issues for the remote 64 bit SQL Server, when ODBC seems fine, sysadmin rights have been given for the installer account and the SCCM computer account and SPNs have been set for the user account running the SQL
    Services.

For the same XML source, the XMLPARSER will parse without errors one day and the next day will give me errors such as "invalid char in text", "Expected ';'.", or even Java null pointer exceptions.
    I have verified that the XML sources are well formed, so I am pretty certain that the problems I am having are bugs in the XMLPARSER.
    Is there going to be a XML parser for PL/SQL version 2 that will fix these bugs? If so, when??? If not, is there anything else I could do to fix these problems?
    Thanks!

    You can use the latest version.

  • Looking for and SQL query to match CTI OS agent login ID with the Directory Number (instrument)

    Hi All,
    I am looking for an SQL query to request the HDS database to find out which Directory Number / instrument  was associated with a specific CTI OS agent login ID.
    Has anyone done such a query before ?
    Thanks and Regards
    Nick

    Hi,
    this should work in 8.0 and 8.5:
    SELECT
    ag.PeripheralNumber AS [LoginID],
    al.Extension,
    al.LogoutDateTime
    FROM [instance]_hds.dbo.Agent_Logout al
    JOIN [instance]_awdb.dbo.Agent ag ON al.SkillTargetID = ag.SkillTargetID
    Of course, replace [instance] with the ICM instance.
    The query returns a table with three columns, first is the login ID aka PeripheralNumber, Extension is... well, the agent's extension, and LogoutDateTime is the timestamp when the agent logged out.
