Proces android.process.media

I have a problem with my sony z3 dual and the message that appear is the followingroces android.process.media not responding. And clock will not responding. This is happen after a startup of the phone and it will freez also the clock alarm setting as soon if you want to make settings in the clock alarm, the other thing that freezz as wel i discovered is thedownload app. Another thing while this message pops up is that the phone become hot and drains the battery. I tryed the factory settings,i installed the firmware again and a few other things but nothing will solve the problem. Also according some other websites i disable the sync option for google and this doen't work as well. This is happen also with a second z3 dual from me. So i guess that this will be a bug that sony has to soved with an update. I hope that someone or sony can help me to fix this problem

Try performing a system repair as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

  • Unfortunately the android.process.media has stopped

This renders the camera and pictures inaccessible. I had some pictures and a video from a month ago that I really wanted to save. I have not even been able to get the download to my computer to work to transfer the information. Any advice?

Hello! I have the Samsung Galaxy S4. It does not have a SD card in it. I have tried to move the pictures to a pc but the drivers won't install properly. The error is inhibiting phone use.
    Kind regards,

  • Android.process.acore?  What is this and why does it keep not working?

Help: I've had my Lucid 3 phone since May and this phone has been the most confusing thing to operate.  I'm currently having three (3) issues:
The Wi-Fi is not working...I keep getting the symbol refreshing.  I can't turn the Wi-Fi on or off.  I read "Turning Wi-Fi on..." when I go to the setting for Wi-Fi but this has been going on for 3 hours.  C'mon!  My Wi-Fi at home is working great; that's how I'm writing this post. Help!
To add to the misery: I keep getting a pop-up notification that reads: "Unfortunately, the android.process.acore has stopped."  What is this and why does it not work. The phone's been getting this message for a week now...help!
Last concern: I'm still not getting multimedia texts (particularly pictures).  The data and Wi-Fi were on...well, that's when the Wi-Fi was working (please refer to complaint #1 above).  What the heck?
This phone is terrible news and I can't wait to replace it.  In the meantime, the phone needs to work. Help.
    -Salo

We certainly want to clear up all the confusion and have a working phone in your hands, srodezno. Let's take this one issue at a time:
    1. How long ago did this trouble with WiFi start? Are you able to connect to any alternate WiFi signals other than the one at home?
    2. Do you get that notification when you access anything in particular? Did it begin when you updated or installed any application?
    3. Are you still able to access other data services (web, apps, Play Store, etc) while the WiFi is off/not working? Are you able to send the MMS messages?

  • Getting "process android.process.acore has stopped" error message on S4 at startup.

OTA upgrade to Kitkat was successful, however, i now have the error message "unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped" at startup. cant make or receive phone calls, also cannot access apps due to error message being constantly displayed.

Verizon gave a solution above in an earlier thread. So there is guidance much as it is.
You have researched this issue and yet admitting not just on Verizon but other carriers as well you then feel hesitant to renew and get a device from Verizon. That "Bug" was done to all providers.
I always look to the Android Forums or XDA to see if solutions or fixes have been listed. I like to also Google it and many times the solutions are found.
Verizon tech support on the phone may have an answer 1-800-922-0204 or *611 from your mobile device. Verizon will only give you what they have as a possible solution on their database.
    Good Luck

  • Android.process.acore backup [10] database error

when I click on a "contact" I get an "android.process.acore" error code.  When I click on "backup now" I get a [10]database error.  Help!  I can't access my contacts!  I have a Verizon Revolution.

I did not download any new apps.  My husbands phone has this error all of a sudden too.  (removed)  Our friends are getting this too so Verizon has done something recently to cause this.  Please help us resolve this without a factory reset.  Verizon customer support had me upload contacts, photos, text messages, etc. but they all didn't upload. This is SO frustrating and I am looking at Sprint and AT&T.

  • Android.process.acore malfunction

Since downloading and installing the update, I get the following error message: "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped."  I can't access my phone applications and functions  without repeatedly clicking "OK" every few seconds.  HELP!
How do I reset the android.process.acore?  I have tried restarting my phone, turning it off and back on, and removing the battery; none of these actions result in any change.

Switch off the Galaxy Note 3 completely.
    - you can remove the battery and then re-insert it after several seconds pass by.
Next, press and hold simultaneously Volume Up, Home and Power.
Release the buttons when the screen flickers and then wait for the Recovery Mode main screen to appear.
    - if the Recovery Mode doesn’t boot, then you should keep trying until it does.
Now, select using the volume buttons 'wipe cache partition'
Press the power button to select
Verify that it was done successfully
Scroll up to reboot phone now and press the power button
*** It's normal to see the word 'error' by the little Android guy when booting into recovery...

  • AC100 - the process android.process.acore stopped unexpectantly

Our AC100 suffers from frequent and annoying messages: the process android.process.acore stopped unexpectantly (well it is said in Dutch, so I hope the translation is right). After googeling I have found many people with the same problems (but for other devices than a computer from Toshiba), and it seems that the only solution is resetting the original settings (after making a back-up).
But since all downloaded widgets and applications will be gone then, I am looking for another possibility. Does anyone have experience with this message? How did you solve the problem?
And who knows how this problems starts?

    Hi
I would also recommend setting the Android back to factory settings. The widget could be saved on external source before setting the notebook to factory settings.

  • What does process android.process.acore has stopped mean ?

My S5 stopped responding all it will say is: the process android.process.acore has stopped. I have took the battery out and let it set for 1 hour and nothing changed.

The core Android OS is crashing. You might have to resort to a factory reset to clear out the error.

  • Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again later

    Hi,
I have an HTC Incredible 2 running on Android on Verizon. I have this problem where I cannot access my phone (for calling) or access any of my contacts. Trying to access it results in the error message " android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again later." The mail, the internet and the messaging work fine. But I cannot call anyone or add or access my contacts. From my message inbox, it looks like my contacts information has been wiped out because for my previous messages, I only get the numbers of my contacts, but not their names or pictures.
I did a bit of searching on Google and it looks like the error comes because of  some syncing issue in the contacts, but I have not been able to go much further. Any help in this direction would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello Ketan!  Thanks for posting!
I would like to assist you with getting your device working the way it should.
Have you ensured your device is running the latest software version?  If not, please update the software first.  If you still notice the force close errors after ensuring your software is up to date, then try resetting the applications that are giving the errors.  Reset the phone/dialer application, contacts/people and messaging applications.  As a last resort, a hard reset of the device will resolve the issue as well.  Please ensure your data is backed up prior to the reset.
I trust I have answered your questions, and have addressed your concerns.

  • "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly" when trying to view contacts

Brand new Droid Charge with latest update.  When attemptiong to view contacts in standalone mode or via the phone app, it crashes with the above message.  Essentially making the phone porion of this device worthless.  Assistance please.  I'm leaving in 2 days for a trip so this needs to be fixed or the phone gets traded back in with a bad taste in my mouth or Android.

Try a soft reset to see if that reinstalls the "android.process.acore" that stopped.
    Go here to see how.

At the above URL there also is another URL to a description on how to remove and reinstall the battery.  You might look at or copy it too.
    Have a nice trip!
    Hope this helps,

  • The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly..........

i think some apps may have gotten accidentally deleted by my son. my contacts are gone and it's also saying the application google services framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again.
my phone will not sync when i press the phone button to call out it shows- sorry. the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again.
please help....i don't know how to fix it.

Tamsmadd, I can certainly assist you with the issues on your device. Are your contacts backed up to Google? Try logging into your Gmail account on your browser or computer to verify. First, try clearing cache/data from your Gmail application. If it is still not working after that then I suggest a factory reset. This resets the phone to factory default settings and will erase everything on the phone that is not on the SD card. Your pictures, videos, music are saved to the SD card by default on the Incredible 2.

  • Android: Volume media/ringer mode reseting on minimise

This is an existing bug that was recently noticed by a user. On android devices normally the volume buttons change the ringer volume. When a sound is played in air, it switches to a separate media volume setting as expected, and appears to stay this way for a few seconds afterward before switching back to ringer. The problem is when a user presses the home key to minimise the app before the cooldown period elapses to do something else, the volume gets stuck on media and stays that way, unless the user goes back to the app and the time elapses.
This is an issue for me since my app plays background music all the time, so the cooldown time never elapses and thus this bug always occurs on minimise. My guess is it has something to do with background music being enabled. Is there a way to disable background music?

    Hi AdaptedArts,
You can use Event.DEACTIVATE event to stop the background music. Event.DEACTIVATE is called when the application loses focus e.g. phone call, press home button.
for example, if you have music playing in a sound channel then you can use the below code to stop music:
    NativeApplication.nativeApplication.addEventListener(Event.DEACTIVATE, deactivateMusic);
    function deactivateMusic(event:Event):void {
// application is now losing focus
musicChannel.stop();    // stops the music, "musicChannel is a SoundChannel"
Also, if you want to start the music again, then use Event.ACTIVATE event.
    NativeApplication.nativeApplication.addEventListener(Event.ACTIVATE, activateMusic);
    function activateMusic(event:Event):void {
          musicChannel = mySong.play();
    Hope this will helps.

  • ProC dequeue process waits forever after network was brought down.

    Hi all,
I want you to help me on the following issue.
Unfortunately I can not post the code right now, but I will try to explain, it is simple.
The DB and the process (ProC) which dequeues the message are on different machines.
The dequeue wait time is set to 10 sec. And of course there is a loop and an exception handling after the dequeue.
Now, if I drop the network connection between DB and ProC program while the process tries to dequeue,
the process will stuck on dequeue forever.
It does not throw any errors or something else, just waits there at DBMS_AQ.dequeue call.
Do you have any ideas what it is happening?

    Hi,
I am experiencing the same problem,
Are there any important settings for time out or
other things that may prevent going through a hang problem!?
    please help us

  • Error message on Galaxy S4 " Unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped."

Have turned off and on, removed and replace battery with no result.

angenicka, let's not give up yet. The last resort to resolve this issue would be to hard reset that device since you're unable to access the Settings icon on your device. A hard reset will delete all information on your device and reset it back to the original factory settings. First, power your device off. Next, press and hold the Power Volume up Home buttons at the same time. Release the Power button when the Phone vibrates. Continue to hold the Volume Home buttons until the Android logo appears. From the Android system recovery screen, select wipe data/factory reset. Keep us posted.
