In rspc , check for the four process chains given in error log ( there is a check button in the menu bar , once you click that it will show the process variant which has error as red )

Process Chain Ended with Errors - cause unknown

I have had several instances of process chains stopping for no apparent reason. The stops occur between 2 master data infopackage loads. The last step is green and the next is grey. The PSA table has been updated successfully for the last step. All IDocs are in green status in both systems. The monitor for the last successful step does say "Ended with Errors" although no errors are evident. The process chain starts back up via Repeat at the next (grey) step and continues successfully. There were no system problems or connection interruptions that occurred during the time the process chains failed. There were no changes in the remote user profile.
This exact problem has occurred a half dozen times since our application of ECC Support Packs several months ago and had not occurred before. The infopackages are different each time. Two different process chains have had this problem. I have re-activated and re-scheduled the process chains without solving the problem.
Thanks for any ideas on why this may be occurring or what I can do to prevent it.

The process chain step and the monitor load both are green. The Details tab shows all the processing is green, but the Process Chain itself is red with "Errors Occurred. There have been no runtime dumps.

Process chain PID AND LOGID

HI all,
In process chain what is PID and Log id.
where do we find for particular process chain has failed
where do we find PID AND LOG ID
in what way it is beneficial and how do we investigate PID and LOG ID
how do we investage process chain failure in SM37, SM50, SLG1 or any other t codes please let me know
how to fix the process chain if it is failed.

Hi Guru,
Display the process chain in logview -> right click the failed step -> Display messgaes -> you could able to see 3 steps (process, backg and chain) -> go to backg -> you ll find Batch monitor -> click that -> then double click that particular job name -> it takes you to SM37 -> click job details button -> here you ll find the PID ( Process Id).
Normally for all the dialor and background process the system allocates an separate process id.
For Logid,
Goto SE11 -> RSPCPROCESSLOG -> enter the process chain name -> here you ll find the log id
or
in the log view of the process chain on the LHS -> you could able to view the time of the run and Log ID.
In RSPCPROCESSLOG -> if Status of Process = "X" (Cancelled) (it means the failure of the process chain)

Common Errors can be like
1. SID Failure while loading data.
2. Activation Failure.
3. Idoc failure
4. Failure in Source System.
5. Table space issue while loading.
6.No SID found for a characteristics
7.No Data found in the soucre system
8.DATASET Errors: Short dump with Various DATASET errors
9.Hierarchy load fails with error Incorrect Hierarchy Structure with Consistency Check / NodeID XXXXX not included in the Hierarchy.
10.Invalid character error
11.File not found (System Command for file check failed).
12.Error occurred due to Short Dump.
13.Attribute Change Run failed - ALEREMOTEBW was locked.

Process chain failure due to weekly maintanence

Hi experts,
we have BI sytem shutdown every week ok sundays due weekly system maintanence.In that process we have few process chain failure as well as batch job failures and each time we have to fix it by manual loading of data.
Any one help me fixing it once for ever.

Hi,
Is ur PC running when the system is shut down?? if yes then u have to fix manually...The best practice is to finish off the loads before the system is shut down. Make sure that all the deltas are pulled before the system is down..
try this for restarting PC

How repeat a process step in a process chain automatically after error?

Hello guys.
Have some method to repeat automatically a process in a process chain after a error occur ?
Now, we need to make a manual procedure for repeat the process... We need make it more "fast", one "auto repeat" when failing.

Auto repeat of a process chain is always not ad visible as in most of the cases we can see the job got finished in SM37 and even spool got generated but unfortunately it will fail if any of the data package is wrong.In these cases we can skip the process chain and make it continue.
I have written a blog on the same.please go through it.i feel for those scenarios it is good.
How to override a process block in the process chain and make it force complete ?
My personal advice is to go and check the job log before repeating any process as the job may fail for n no of cases.it is a complex challenge of adding all those errors tracked.

Process chain failure at AND condition

the process chain is failing at the AND process after the DTPgets succesful . its giving the error message as"THIS AND PROCESS IS NOT WAITING FOR EVENT RS PROCESS".

there are two dtps which are connected to this AND process.process chain is successful untill this dtps and failed at this AND condition. please suggest to fix this and let me know wht will be the possible reason for this failure.

'AND' process in a process chain failure - need help

For the first time and out of no where, two separate 'AND' processes in two separate process chains failed on two separate days. It displayed error the same messages in both isntances as below. It seems that when the first load completed and the second was still in progress, this 'AND' attempted excecute and failed.
I had to manually resume the chain by setting the 'AND' status'to 'G' in RSPCPROCESSLOG table. I also plan to recreate those 'AND'.
But did anyone here experience this problem and know the root cause?

Error in process Chain at 'AND' Step

Hi,
I have a Process chain which has different process which are activating different DSO's plus a loading data to a DSO in same level of Process chain. Now the next process is AND step, which will be executed if all the above process are successful.
Now all the activation step are sucess and also loading the DSO, but still there is a error in AND step. Error message is 'Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE'. And one more thing is the previous step of DSO loading data loaded successfully, but in details tab, Last step is showing the message as 'Process Chains: Errors Occured'. But the data is transferred and added in the target.
Please suggest what will be the cause for this error.

you are talking about monitor details tab or process chain details tab?
'Process Chain: errors occured". you will get this msg at monitor details tab bcoz data has been loaded to ODS through process chian, even the load is successful but the chain is not yet completed successfully. so once the chain is success this msg will trun to green. try to figure about the error and rectify it.
did you repeate the AND process to execute next process in process chian.
if you didnt get repeate option you can try with RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH in SE37.

The QueryParams will handle the data types for you, and should pass values around more safely and with fewer issues. Assuming you just want to store the current date and time you don't even need to get ColdFusion involved, as databases have their own functions for this. I believe Access' version is simply NOW(), so I've put that in your query.
Give the above a go.
