At present, there is no standard functionality available in SAP NetWeaver 2004s BW/BOBJ that offers this integration and automation.But you can do it as given in following link

I think that if you expand the transport/import log further there will be a more detailed error message. Can you
check this? If yes can you let us know what the error message text and error code is? It might be the case that
the note 659160 is relevant for the problem.

I want to send in error my process chain by abap code, because i've a routine in transfer structure and on the particular conditions this code must stop the load.
How to send in error my process chain by abap?
The following code send in error the infopackage but not the routine in trasfer roule.

Process chain - After error ABAP - trigger a metachain start does not work.

Hi,
I have a process chain, where after an ABAP runs into red (ERROR MESSAGE triggered), another process type, like start a new meta-chain, or start an infopackage starts.... But is does not work. After i go to logs, it asks me whether i want to trigger the following jobs, if i choose yes, it works. But i need to start it automatically, when the ABAP Routine has an error message (RED) in the chain.
Any idea, because I tried to solve it all the day, but i did not manage to get itwork...

the problem is not the ABAP Program.
I have the following situation:
A Metachain contains as second step a call of local chain. After the local chain, according to the status of it (green o red), we have other different steps. So we have two different link (red and green) starting from the local process chain step.
Inside the local process chain there is the ABAP program that check several parameters and if something is not as expected fails with status red. if this situation happens, the local process chain becomes red and in SM37 inside the job i see the error that i forced, but the status is not triggered to the first metachain , so the corresponding following steps are not triggered.
This issue happens only if fails the ABAP program because, for example, a Infopackages loading fails every thing works and the corresponding steps in the metachain are executed.
In the ABAP program in order to force the status red we have the following code:
MESSAGE e162(00) WITH 'Status' 'Red'.
Any idea?

Looks like an authorization issue.Please check if you have authorizations for all the objects used in the process chains like execute infopackages, infosources and data targets where you are trying to load data.

Process chain gives error when activating

Hi,
I created a process chain, nothing spectacular. I am going to fill a Cube using an infopackage, this is a delta update infopackage.
Anyway, so my process chain is done and I activate it, and I get the following error message:
"InfoPackage ZPAK_EY32OUHBC7FOBBX70AUJWSVE3 is generated; NOT able to be used as loading variant"
So what is this? I am not allowed to use this infopackage? I have to create a new one?
In the production system the cube has already had a delta-init and some delta updates, using the above mentioned info package. The updates are scheduled in jobs, but we are setting up process chains for this. So does this mean I cannot use that infopackage, have to create a new one, do a new init and then run deltas with a different infopackage?
On the test system there was no problem, though I should note that there was no delta info package yet and I created one myself.
Has anybody seen this before?

Hi Erik/Ina,
When you are including InfoPackage in a process chain, make sure that these are not the ones generated by the system in the datamart process. Please create you own InfoPackages for full and delta load as reqd (like for when loading from ODS to cube, or cube to cube, or ODS to ODS: all data mart scenarios), and then include these in your process chain. It should be fine.

The action is locked by a change run.

Hi,
Usually a BI_STRU job runs in either of the two case mentioned below:
1> Either you are manally pushing packets of a failed load may be because of lock or sid.
2> When you manually run a ACR by selecting specific info objects in rsattr transaction.
Now failing of a STRU job means the object is either locked that could be tracked in SM12( if you know the corresponding job for which the job was running).
Usually an ACR if fails in between locks all the acquired objects , the failure could be checked either in sm37 with job name prefix BI_ATTR, or in RSATTR and detail in SLG1, it could be traced in se38 too using program RSDDS_Changerun_monitor in BI 7.0 and even could be restarted from there.
For getting more information on which all objects are locked by the ACR you can use funtion module in rsdds_aggr_mod_state_get in transaction se37 too.

Process chain load failure

Hi experts,
A delta process chain which schedules the data to a dso
through infopackge daily failed.
Load was unsuccesfull.
The error message is:
Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Errors occurred
Data Package 000001 : sent, not arrived
Info IDoc 3 : sent, not arrived ; Data passed to port OK
Info IDoc 4 : sent, not arrived ; Data passed to port OK
How to rectify this error.
And also how to repeat a process chain for which the delta load was failed. This is first time i am handling a process chain.

Is it failing everyday.......no one has taken any action........I mean no one has rectify the failed previous failed loads......
Or you mean to say that...........first time it is failing.........then after repeating...it is getting successfull.........I think all the previous failed loads are already rectified........check the log..........
Actually this error means TRFC are stucked.........check in SM58...........may be everyday it is due to the same issue since.....at this particular point of time.........no of jobs is huge.......due to which system performance is getting effected......and TRFC is getting stucked.............
If all the previous loads are already rectified.............then for today's load..........delete the request from the target after making the QM status red...........then repeat the load from IP scheduler............
But as per my knowledge..........previous loads are rectified.........otherwise next delta load will not star.........it will give a pop up Last delta was incorrect...........

Process Chain Load Processing Time Issue

Hi All,
One my process Chain is running daily , but after 2 hours of load it is showing Red in the Monitor screen, but after 5 hours load is successful.
Why Monitor screen is showing Red?
Is it possible to Extend the load processing time in the Infopackage level?
for e.g- if they set as 60 seconds -- go to Red
I want to change to 120 seconds -- go to Red.
If yes...where we can do it ...please let me know the steps...

hey hi,
double click on the infopackage -> go to "scheduler" on the top left corner of the menu -> click "Timeout time" and you have the different option to change it.

I am scheduling the process chain but it was throwing an error.
Job BI_PROCESS_DROPINDEX could not be scheduled. Termination with returncode 8
Message no. RSPC065
Diagnosis
Program RSPROCESS is to be scheduled as job BI_PROCESS_DROPINDEX under user ALEREMOTE.
System Response
Scheduling terminated with return code 8. The meanings of the return codes are as follows:
SY-SUBRC = 4:
Scheduling terminated by user
SY-SUBRC = 8:
Error when scheduling job (JOB_SUBMIT)
SY-SUBRC = 12:
Error in internal number assignment
Procedure
Check the system log for more detailed information.
Execute Function
for this i have already checked
in RSPC menu tab
Process Chain >> Attributes >> Execution User
Choose "BW Background User" which should be ALEREMOTE.
above settings i have done.
even though when i am scheduling the process chain i am getting the same error

Suman,
You are not able to schedule it b'coz it is getting scheduled from user RFCUSER whereas the background user should be ALEREMOTE.
There is an option somewhere in the Menu bar in RSPC to change the Execution user. Please change that to ALEREMOTE,
Please check whether your BW user has enough authorization to run this job. The above post tell you how to do it.

Process Types in Process Chains - Loading - Repeatable/repairable

Hi,
I know SAP recommends that we do not change the properties of the Process Types for Process Chains. I want to know if any one has ever changed the property of "LOADING" process type to "repeatable" or "repairable". We are keen to change this attribute of "LOADING" process to repeatable. Any experiences, good or bad, would be highly useful to us to take a decision and would be highly appreciated.

Hi Simon,
So far, I have not come across any documents that explain the difference between the two options. But, I believe the 'repairable" would start from where it has stopped in the program calles, while "repeatable" will restart the current job (not the whole process chain) from the start. Please remember to post it here, if you ever come across any documentation on these options.

Process chain execution error

Hi Experts,
I used to run Process chain on daily basis.During Process chain execution time ,R/3 server was down as a result Process chain is not executed at initial stage itself as a result i got yellow color symbol at one process(Infopackage-delta load).
I triggered that process by FM RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH as a result all the successive Processes executed successfully except triggered Process(InfoPackage).
One of the Expert suggested me to check job ,TRFCS which i failed to trace.
The Process(Infopackage-deltaload) which is in yellow color later turn into Red color.
Now I trigger process chain by "Repair" option as result i got duplicate at that process which is very common apart from that i got duplicates in all successive processes also. Lets say that A and B are successive Processes where as A1 and B1 are duplicates

B B1
After second successful Process chain execution including Infopackage i found links between A and B,A1 and B1.
Apart from this i found cross link(X) between the above links.
I checked records in all DSO in Process chain which contains two records with numbers in both records at that day where as infopackage containing two records one with red color symbol and other with number.
My question is as infopackage is deltaload is there any effect in getting duplicates in successive processes as they are executed two times in a day.

Hi Narasimha,
If the Infopackage is set to Delta then there is no chance of getting duplicate records, Delta will bring only the changed/New records. if you have any dought you can check the data in PSA level...

while i try to save my process chain its giving warning that 'Add at least one process to the chain before saving' and when i try to activate the chain its giving below error

Will you please goto process chain start varint and give the new varint for that and try to execute it once again..it will work for you...
If you could check once the check button all will be green and you can able to activate the process chain...I hope you are maintained the infoobjects in attr bute change run...problem might be with the start varint ionly...change the start varint and if you could not able to activate please let me know....
