Process Chain Reqeust creation in BI

Hello ,
Can any one tell me how to create the Transport Request for Process Chain in BI .
When i am doing that through transport connection I am gettinh error :
1. Source systems are not transported
2. The user terminated processing of objects REQUEST
3. Operation cancelled at user's request

Hi,
Are tried collecting thru transport connection. Select the Grouping. After finding your PC drag and drop it right side and click on package it will ask for request. Then give the description for that request.
Or in a Simple way just again reactivate the PC it will ask for a request and create a New One. Give the package name and click on save.
by default $TMP will display, replace it with your package.
Do the transport for the same.

Hi,
As process chain is to automate the data load step.
For Ex:- If you are loading data from R/3 to DSO CUBE.
Here you require Info package to load till PSA.
DTP to load till DSO
Another DTP to load Cube.
And all other process like psa deletion AND process you can find in RSPC tab.

Index Creation wrong error in process chain

Hi Experts,
One of my process chain got failed due to following error:
"Index creation in Infocube got wrong"
can anyone help,how to resolve this issue?

1)You can even see the INDEX in DB02 t.code
2)Goto Cube -> Manage -> Performance TAb -> Repair Indices (you can see all the index related statuses hre, like check indexes, repair indexes, you will get the green/red status here if you got green status no worries, if red you can rebuild indexes)
3) You can read the message from Process logs and you can find out some solve issue from there also

Just do detail view on in the process chain. It will take you to the error. See the message and then display message. You can know why the message is appearing.

Error in Process chain creation

Hi All,
My dataflow is:
R/3---ODS--Cube.
R/3 to ODS is Daily Load
ODS to cube is Monthly Load.
I am planning to create 2 process chains.
One I did from R/3 to ODS with following Processes.( This Chain Is OK)
Start----Execute ODS Infopackage--
ODS Activation.
Second One with (Error)
Start-----Further Processing--Delete IndexLoad Data--Create Index.
When I click on Checking View I am getting Red mark on Load data Process.
WHen I take Further Process as variant It proposed Activation of DSO process Again, I removed that process.
Details of the eRROR IS: Infopackage ZPAK_**is generated, Not able to be used as Loading variant.
Can ANy body help me on this and what could be the best way to create chain for this flow.

A. The Flow should be :
Start - > Delete Index for Cube - > Load Data (IP to load from ODS to Cube) - > Create Index for Cube.

Problem with creation of a file in a process chain

Hello dears,
I included a abap program in a process chain.
This abap program allows to create a file in a directory.
I'm using the function module GUI_DOWNLOAD for this.
1/ When I execute the program in SE38, it creates the file in the directory.
2/ When I launch the process chain, the program is executed but it doesn't create the file as expected.
=> The message is: "You have no authorization for export the object" (exception id 5 "no_authority" of the function module).
3/ So I tried to change the attributes of the process chain: process chain/attributes/execution use and i used current user (myself) or special user (myself).
When I launch the process chain, the programs is executed but it doesn't create the file
=> The message is: "Could not ascertain code page" (exception id 6 "unknown error" of the function module).
So my question is:
How to create a file using GUI_DOWLOAD in a program included in a process chain?

Hi,
Try using Open Data Set file for output to load in to application server.
The GUI_DOWNLOAD only gets the data to the presentation server,.
I think you are expecting the file in AS running GUI_Download gets only to Presentation Server.

Creation of Decision in Process Chain to load data to a SPO

Hi,
I have a question regarding adding a Decision type to my Process chain.
I want to load data to a SPO that contains 12 InfoCubes (Jan - Dec) from a DSO, but I do not want to start all 12 DTP's.
Want I am looking for is a way to only start the DTP's that load to the InfoCubes that contain current month, last month and all other data should be loaded to a Infocube (nr 13) that is not a part of the SPO so I would only have 3 DTP's running at the same time and not 13.
E.g. A delta load to the DSO contains 3 records; 1 for 2014.09, 1 for 2014.08 and 1 for 05.2013 triggers the DTP to the January InfoCube, the DTP to the August InfoCube and the DTP to the 13 Infocube.
Is this possible by using a Decision and if so how?

I haven't worked with SPOs yet, but I do work frequently with decisions, so here's my 5 cents...
In your case you wish to have your decision based on the data contained in "a delta load to the DSO". I'm assuming you're talking InfoPackage here, because you wish to execute the DTP's afterwards.
So basically you need to determine which "months" are in your incoming data packages. The only way I see that possible is via start/end routine. In your example, you would look the data package and find 3 records each with a different month, being 08.2014, 09.2014 & 05.2013. You could then "convert" these to just numbers ranging from 1 to 13. That makes it relatively "easy" to link the right DTP to the right "number".
Now, how to pass that info (those numbers) back to the "decision" process? By default you base your formula on a "system" field (see basic how to link below). I don't see how this would work in your case. You'll need to somehow export your "numbers" (most likely an internal table or a "range") to memory (or fill it in a [z-]table) and then read it back in with custom code. I haven't done that yet (at least not in the context of decision steps), but I would recommend to have a look at the "experienced" way of working document below. It won't be easy, but I think it could work.

Process chain creation: error:

Hi,
i am creating process chain for the data upload of three info packages!
Two are master data IPs and one is transactional data IP. ( Requirement is to make single process chain for the master data and transactional data ).
Before transactional data upload, i had included the process delete indexes.
When i check the process chain, it says:
"process DROPCUBE variant is referenced but not in the chain "
May i know what is wrong with this process flow? i had actually done similarly in dev system it was not giving any error:

Not able to include infopackage in process chain creation

Hi Gurus,
I'm creating a process chain. while including the infopackage its not allowing me to select the existing infopackage.
i'm geitting the message "no data selected".
First we had checked the maintain process types - if the loading process type is maintained or not, we could not find that particular process there we had created a new entry by taking the values from the table "RSPROCESSTYPES".
Now its show in the maintain process types in RSPC tcode.
But still could not add the infopackage.
any one please throw light on this.

Hi,
If your infopackage is active .. then you should be able to add in the process chain. Please check all the objects if they are active or not. secondly Execute Infopackage is the standard process type available - you dont need to activate the same. Also one rough estimate is to check with your authorizations.

Urgent,: Info package prob in process chain creation..

Hi Experts,
I wanted to create a process chain for my master data, so then i started creating it, initially when i started executing info package which is the first step to undertake, the list of info packages is not generating when in clicked upon search icon. Rather it says "no data selected". Am not familiar in creating process chains. This is the first time i started creating.. Could you plz assist me with clear information in how to resolve this?

Creation of process chains in 2004s

Dear friends
Does anybody as a step by step guide on how to create a process chain in 2004s . as this is new i am bit confused on creating them . we are useing standard business content. but while creating the process chains they are bit different and i am unable to create process chians . so can one help on this by sending some example screen shot of the process chain created and steps how to create process chain for standard business content in 2004s . if possible please send it to (email address removed by moderator) or mention steps how to or atleast example screenshot . please look forward toyour replies . thankyou friends .

Process Chain Creation

Hi All,
I am creating process chain.
first i have given the name and description of the process chain --> then next step is insert start process So, i have clicked on new and given the name then click on continue --> so it populates one window and it says that " Changes to Repository or cross-client Customizing are not permitted " AND ''Choose 'Display object' or 'Cancel'' .
when i clicked on display object it shows "Changes cannot be made, display user only"
and in brief it says that
Diagnosis:
In this logon client, any changes to the Repository and to cross-client Customizing objects are prohibited.
System Response:
The function terminates
Procedure:
If you still want to make the changes, contact the system administrator, who can allocate you a user in a client where you can make the changes.
What should i do ?

Please check the Forum, You will find lot of discussion on this topic.
You can transport the process chain by collecting it in transport. Based on authorization and system setting you can create it in Production system as well but it is always recommended to transport it from DEv in order to avoid problems in future.
