Process chain request shows clock wise

Hi friends,
in process chains date/time , log id ,chian -- in date/time the process chains shows red or green
it shows clock wise in last 3 months what to do
pplz tell me step wise.

Hi Prasana,
The clock symbol denotes that the chain has been changed. It also gives activation information.
The chian gets triggered once it has been activated and scheduled.
Once the chain runs and completes successfully, you see a green request with time stamp.
If it fails, a red request is seen with the time stamp.
Did it clear your doubt. If not do tell, so that I will try to eloborate better.

Process chain status shows incorrect status

When ever i receive bad data requests from R/3, BW pulls the error requests into a separate PSA and pass-thru the good once in another PSA and then into datatarget.
However the overall status is green for the job/package and the package when executed in ProcessChain does not show an errors. But the errors are not noticed until user notices it in the qyuery.
How to capture such errors and notified, is their any automation possible? I have setup e-mail on process chain failures but these kind of errors are not captured because the overall status of request is GREEN.
Here is the status on infopackage.
Incorrect data records - error requests (total status GREEN)
Diagnosis
Data records were recognized as incorrect.
System response
The valid records were updated in the data target and can be used in reporting.
The incorrect records were not written to the data target, but were posted retractively under a new request number in the PSA.
Procedure
Check the data in the error requests, correct the errors, and post the error requests.

Hi Gopikrishna,
Please check if "Error Handling" in the Update Tab of your Infopackage has been enabled, I guess it is.
If this has been enabled , then the error recs will be isolated and only the Correct records will be posted into the Data Target. It is the responsibility of the BW Administrator to identify such errored records, correct them and Post it back to the DAta target. Because error handling is used, the Monitor will show Green, as all the error recs have been separated.
To avoid this, you have to remove Error Handling from the INfopackage, then you will see the Load failing and the Process Step in the process chain would turn RED with the corresponding error messages.

Process in Process chain that shows yellow inspite of being green

Hi,
I have a process chain where one of the processes shows yellow when I look at it in RSMON log view. In the process monitor however it has status 'green'. also the chain is set up in such a manner that the next process does not start unless this current process has a status of red or green. But the next process started and has green status in both RSMON and process monitor. When i click on the context menu for the process that shows Yellow, I get an extra option of 'End process again'. Could anybody please tell me what this option does and why the process which is completed still showing yellow.

Hi Stefan,
Check if there are any other infopackage/DTp loads for this DSO/ info cube was running at the same time or may be a bit earlier due to which load into the Data target was not being successful and remained in YELLOW status forever.
try using the FM RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH to manually change the status of the PC to green.

Processing user request(show busy cursor)

hi i am new to jsf.
i want to show the processing thing for the user after submit the form(or any click on SUBMIT button).just like busy cursor in flex.

Come on dude. At least take the effort to ask a proper question, don't just throw some open-ended requirement out there and expect people to draw you up a design sheet.
Being new to JSF might already make this requirement of yours a little too much to begin with; perhaps you want to dig a little deeper into JSF, and for example the combination of JSF and Ajax, to be able to understand enough how to implement this yourself. There are good resources out there, for example did you find BalusC's blog already?

Error while Transporting changes in Process chain

Hi All,
I have added a Hierarchy InfoPackage in Process chain and added this InfoObject in Save hierarchy and Attribute change Run Process types.
My transport Request is showing only three entries each for
save hierarchy , attribute change run and one for Process Chain.
Now when I transport this changes to Process chain to Acceptance its showing Error message in Acceptance as

Hi Pratap,
       The infopackage has not yet been assigned to a package in all probabilty. Change the package and then transport the IP and then transpost the process chain request.

Updating an existing process chains created in 3.5 upgraded to 7.0

I added DTP's to my process chain, see below process.
1) Load Inventory data to PSA (R3 to BI)
2) Run ODS DTP
3) Activate ODS
4A) Run DTP to Cube (If I add this, it works, but the Process Chain shows warning, must have Further processing before DTP to Cube.) Is a warning okay?
4B) Run Further Processing (Data Store object, ODS_BF). The Process chain check shows no warning, no error. But, when the process chain is executed, this last process executes DTP to the cube and also executes the Info Package from BI to BW (8ODS). We are not using the Info Package of BI to BW at this time, we did not migrate this info package.
Please help me understand how this should work.

Warning is okay but its no harm to have " Further Processing " in ur chain.
1. Start
2. Execute Infopackage ( loads till psa )
3.Execute DTP ( to load DSO frm PSA )
4.Activate DSO
5.Further Processing
6.Delete Indexes for Cube
7.Execute DTP ( to load Cube frm DSO )
8.Create Indexes for Cube
Infopackages n DTPs shud all be delta in update type.
<b>Delete n Creating Indexes if preffered for performance.</b>

Process chain node is in yellow colour but job completed successfully

Hi All,
I have one master data load process chain. This process chain have one child process chain also. Parent process chain was showing Fail for one child process chain. When I checked child process chain I got to know that one info package is still in the running state. When I checked the monitor of the data load , It is showing successful data load , even i have checked in batch job log , it is also showing ' JOB COMPLETED SUCCESSFULY'.
Now as this node is in ruuning state , all lined up process are on hold.
Please help me with this issue.

hi,
open the child process chain, right click on the variant at which it is struck. note down the details such as log instance,variant.
open table rspcprocesslog in SE12 ,give the details of variant and job logs and find the instance id.
open tcode se38 ,enter program RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH.
execute it, enter the details obtained from table rspcprocesslog table for the same and set the status to "G" and execute.
the process chain will be triggered.

How to change source system in process chain

Hi All,
In our Bw quality system, process chain is pointing to the Production system ,
I want to keep the process variant name same as production but want to change the source system
For example.. let us say currently process chains(All DTPs) are pointing to the Production server (PD001) ip (200.12.23.22)
now i want to keep the Server name same but want to point it to the quality system..so after change Process chain will show same name but it should point out to quality system.(let us say bwq 200.12.23.232).
Can you please help me on this

In our BW system , we have same process chain in all the system (Dev, Quality and production)..and naming convention is also same ..(all process chain points to Production system only)..
So when I want to load data from development i just need to change the source system ip adrress to the Development Server (So names in process chain will indicate production but it will point to the development server), .
I want to know how can i change the source system mapping.

I would like to get some examples of how to define PC for DP process like CVC creation, Forecast calculation, snp release.
I know these are new functionalities but dont know if incopatible with ver 3.5 (that I am using) or the difference (adv/disadv) to define them simply as jobs

Hi,
What is the scheduling option that you have selected in the start variant of your process chain? If the chain has been successfully scheduled then you can see that in t-code SM37 under your id, the job for process chain should show as scheduled. If you cannot see anything there then please maintain the start variant properly and rechedule the process chain.

well,
there are 3 meta chain, which runs at 3 different time ( fixed , like 1st run at 8:00 am, 2nd on 6 pm and 3rd on midnite ) and all three meta chains are the same, these meta chain has this pc, which i m working on. and thats y i need to put discision , bcoz for all 3 times there are 3 diff. DTP has to execute.
so, in my descision i am giving half an hour time interval ( 8:00 am to 9:00 am) , (6pm to 7pm ) and ( midnite to 1 am)
so, depending upon the time , when the meta chain gets executed , from my PC the only on DTP gets executes. and other 2 gets fails. same way at 6 pm when once again meta chain gets executed and when it comes to my PC my 2nd descision gets setisfies and execute 2nd DTP with option 2. here option 1 and 3 dont work...and so on
also , i have mention following formula in my descision
option 1 --> Local Time >= '14:10:00' AND Local Time <= '14:55:00'
option 2---> Local Time >= '18:05:00' AND Local Time <= '18:20:00'
option 3 ---> Local Time >= '20:00:00' AND Local Time <= '20:30:00'

Process chains Server changes

Hi,
Guys this is basis question but If you have ideas to change server information for Process chains.We are having problems running process chains.Its showing old server info we have done refresh few days back.Need to change server info for all the chains in Mass not one by one its hectic process...
Please advise if anyone came across similar kinda problems..

Hi Srikar,
RSTPRFC creates a destination into the BW-standard-client with the BW-Background user (usually called BWREMOTE or ALEREMOTE).
This destination then is used to activate the chain in the BW-standard client remotely from the client 000.
Please refer to SAP Note 659160 for further details.

hi,
open your process chain -> right click on start process -> select maintain varient -> select direct scheduling -> goto change selections tab -> select date/time give from when you want to run for eg from today 3.00 PM means in date tab give todays date and in time tab give the time info. in bottom select periodic jobs check box and click on periodic values tab -> here select daily check and save again check and save again save. now you schedule your job at 3.00PM from today, now you need to release this job, after this settings come to your process chain click on clock symbol to activate and schedule your process chain. so this chain will run at specified time, you can check this in SM37 by giving your user name and released job as job status.

To Make Process Chain Green From Red

i have a one Process chain at one step i.e DTP got failed and the below steps got success. i manually executed that DTP because the below steps are already successed.
Now in the Process chain it shows that DTP step is failed and other steps are success and Process chain is showing as RED, now i want to make that Process chain as Green. what i need to do?
i did the following steps even it is showing red in the RSPCM screen.

i_variant
i_instance
i_state as 'G'
in the se37 using function module RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH

hi,
you cannot change the status of the process chain as one of the step in it is red and the status of that red step was not changed. Why do you want to change the status of the chain? do you want to trigger some other chain, if yes then the Se38 program would have already triggered it. If you only want to change it to green to see it in RSPCM it is not possible.

We have around 4 process chains. these are triggering by an event and these are triggeing since 1 month.
We have checked and tried to run them direc scheduling with immediate option. But no use and the process chain will show in yellow and no log.

Process Chain Master Data Failed.Showing Entire chain has status R

Everyday SDMasterChain is running successfully.
Today one of the localChain or subchain has failed.
I have noticed that it has failed because last delta for one infoPackage has not yet completed and chain showing status "Entire chain now has status 'R'"
Can anybody resolve the issue?

There are times when Master Data load compel us to do Re-Init. I guess you need a Re-Init.
