Process Envirmental/safety compliance

hi Frnds ,
I hav a requirement ,the client has a public health department which issue guideline ,acts and laws on public health n environment to factory Manager. Factory manager reviews and carry out all safety measures such as .
1.safety policy has been documented for staff
2.Facilities are maintained in an orderly and clean manner
3.Staff have been trained in safety matters, including use of safety equipment.
4.All machinery is fitted with safety cut-outs, guards, etc
5.Regular scheduled inspections for safety
6.Appropriate and sufficient insurance cover is in place.
At the last Factory manager have to send a final report about the safety measures taken to the Health Dept.
Now i am confused how to map this whether to use WCM or Permits .
Please help me with your valuable suggestions!
Thank you in advance !

  • Safety Compliance of Wireless AP

    Hi,
My customer implemented Cisco Wireless LAN recently using AP 1242AG and 2x 2.2dBi attached to each APs deployed.
They received complaint from users who are close to the location of the APs. All AP are ceiling mounted, drop down.
Users experienced dizziness for those sitting directly below the APs.
I would like to know if there is any document from Cisco or study done to suggest the impact to human especially to the brain if expose to long wireless signal. What is the recommended AP distance from human?
I need to produce document or any study to customer to help them ease the worries of the users
    Thanks.

    Hi Delon,
This is an excellent question, that most of us have asked at one point.
    The consensus that I have gathered is that 10-12 feet is a reasonable distance. There is much conflicting information regarding the Health effects of "Wireless". It is good to be well versed on the subject and to realize that the bottom line, truly, is that this had not been studied for a long enough time frame for anyone to know the absolute truth. Here are some good example Pro/Con type articles;
"There is currently insufficient scientific basis for concluding either that wireless communication technologies are safe or that they pose a risk to millions of users.... FCC radio frequency radiation guidelines are based on protection from acute injury from thermal effects of RFR exposure and may not be protective against any non-thermal effects of chronic exposures."

Low-Power Wireless Devices Pose No Known Health Risk
Do low-power wireless devices such as WLAN client cards, access points, or RFID tags pose a health threat? Available evidence today suggests that there is no clear correlation between low-power wireless use and health issues.
Recent studies strongly suggest that the use of cellular telephone equipment does not create health risks. Two important recent studies that reached this conclusion are:
    • A report written by Dr. John D. Boice, Jr. and Dr. Joseph K. McLaughlin of the International Epidemiology Institute in the United States in September 2002 for the Swedish Radiation Protection Authority.
    • A report to the European Commission from the Scientific Committee on Toxicity, Ecotoxicity, and the Environment, titled "Opinion on Possible Effects of Electromagnetic Fields, Radio Frequency Fields, and Microwave Radiation on Human Health."
Few studies deal directly with the affects of WLAN devices. The emission levels of WLAN and RFID tags are below RF emission levels from typical cellular telephones. Therefore, any conclusions relating to the safety of cellular telephone equipment can almost certainly be applied to WLAN or RFID devices**.
The RF emission levels from a typical WLAN are well within the safety emission level thresholds set by the World Health Organization (WHO)***

  • Environmental Compliance Management

    Hi friends
Help me how to do the environment compliance management, Emissions Management, Health & Safety, Compliance for products.
    Kindly do the needful
    Thanks and Regards,
    Arul.

    HI,
Pls. find some details about EH&S ( Environment,Health & Safety) as below:
    Basic Data and Tools (EHS-BD)
    Purpose
This SAP component contains data and functions that you require for several areas of the SAP component Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S).
    Implementation Considerations
The Basic Data and Tools are the prerequisite for you to be able to use the other SAP EH&S components:
    ·        Product Safety (EHS-SAF)
    ·        Hazardous Substance Management (EHS-HSM)
    ·        Dangerous Goods Management (EHS-DGP)
    ·        Waste Management (EHS-WA)
    ·        Occupational Health (EHS-HEA)
    ·        Industrial Hygiene and Safety (EHS-IHS)
This means that regardless of which of the SAP EH&S components you want to use, you need to process Customizing for Basic Data and Tools and create the necessary data in Basic Data and Tools before you implement the other components.
    Integration
You must have installed the following SAP components to be able to use all the functions of Basic Data and Tools:
    ·        Engineering Change Management (LO-ECH)
    ·        Document Management (CA-DMS)
    ·        Classification System (CA-CL)
    ·        Material Master (LO-MD-MM)
    ·        Sales and Distribution (SD)
    Features
Basic Data and Tools contains the following SAP components:
    ·        In specification management you enter all environmentally relevant data and other data for substances (pure substances, preparations, mixtures, and residual substances), agents, packagings, and waste codes in specifications. This data includes information on identifiers, material assignments, compositions, listings, properties, and assignments to regulatory lists.
You can also enter data for dangerous goods regulations and dangerous goods classifications in specifications. You can use the filling function from the SAP component dangerous goods interfaces to copy dangerous goods classification data to the dangerous goods master. For more information, see the documentation for the SAP component Dangerous Goods Management in the sections Dangerous Goods Basic Data, Dangerous Goods Classification, and Tools.
You can copy data on dangerous goods storage classes, VbF classes, and water pollution classes to Warehouse Management. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Logistics Execution under Transfer Hazardous Substance Data from the Specification Database.
    ·        In the specification information system you can access specification data directly and display it in different ways.
    ·        In report definition you set up the prerequisites for being able to print specification data on EH&S reports (such as material safety data sheets and standard operating procedures). You design the layout of report templates using Windows Wordprocessor Integration (WWI), which gives you access to Microsoft Word functions. Specially defined symbols in the report templates are replaced by values from the SAP system when reports are generated. Phrases are printed in the languages specified. You use ratings and validity areas to specify that only permitted specification data appears on the report.
    ·        You can create standard texts in the form of phrases in phrase management, reducing the amount of writing and translating necessary. Phrases are managed in libraries.
    ·        Under the tools you will find functions for importing data from legacy systems, exchanging and distributing data between systems, editing it, and archiving it.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Tejas

  • MRP type VB

    Dear All,
Please someone suggest me why should we use VB and to maintain safety stock for materials which is having longer lead time?
    Thanks,
    Rinky

    Hi,
VB is the MRP TYPE for consumption based planning. Please go through the below for understanding the CBP and safety stock.
In consumption-based planning, the following MRP procedures are available:
    Reorder point procedure
    Forecast-based planning
    Time-phased materials planning
    Reorder Point Planning
    Use
In reorder point planning, procurement is triggered when the sum of plant stock and firmed receipts falls below the reorder point.
    Features
The reorder point should cover the average material requirements expected during the replenishment lead time.
The safety stock exists to cover both excess material consumption within the replenishment lead time and any additional requirements that may occur due to delivery delays. Therefore, the safety stock is included in the reorder level.
The following values are important for defining the reorder point:
    Safety stock
    Average consumption
    Replenishment lead time
The following values are important for defining the safety stock:
Past consumption values (historical data) or future requirements
    Vendor/production delivery timelines
    Service level to be achieved
Forecast error, that is, the deviation from the expected requirements
    Manual Reorder Point Planning
In manual reorder point planning, you define both the reorder level and the safety stock level manually in the appropriate material master.
    Automatic Reorder Point Planning
In automatic reorder point planning, both the reorder level and the safety stock level are determined by the integrated forecasting program.
The system uses past consumption data (historical data) to forecast future requirements. The system then uses these forecast values to calculate the reorder level and the safety stock level, taking the service level, which is specified by the MRP controller, and the material's replenishment lead time into account, and transfers them to the material master.
Since the forecast is carried out at regular intervals, the reorder level and the safety stock level are continually adapted to the current consumption and delivery situation. This means that a contribution is made towards keeping stock levels low.
    Forecast-Based Planning
    Use
Forecast-based planning is also based on material consumption. Like reorder point planning, forecast-based planning operates using historical values and forecast values and future requirements are determined via the integrated forecasting program. However, in contrast to reorder point planning, these values then form the basis of the planning run. The forecast values therefore have a direct effect in MRP as forecast requirements.
    Features
The forecast, which calculates future requirements using historical data, is carried out at regular intervals. This offers the advantage that requirements, which are automatically determined, are continually adapted to suit current consumption needs. The forecast requirement is reduced by the material withdrawal so that the forecast requirement quantity that has already been produced is not included in the planning run again.
    Reducing Forecast Requirements
    Reducing forecast requirements by consumption
If consumption is higher than the forecast requirements in the current month, then the system also reduces future forecast requirements.
Reducing current forecast requirements by consumption
If consumption is higher than the forecast requirements in the current month, then the system does not reduce future forecast requirements.
Average reduction of the forecast requirements
The reduction of the forecast requirements is based on average daily consumption. Actual consumption data is not relevant.
The system calculates the average daily requirement first using the formula forecast requirement/number of workdays in the forecast period.
The forecast requirements are then reduced by the quantity resulting from the following formula: number of workdays worked x average daily requirements.
    Period Pattern and Forecast Periods
You can specify the period pattern for the forecast (daily, weekly, monthly or per accounting period) and the number of periods to be included in the forecast individually for each material. It is possible, however, that the forecast period pattern is not specific enough for planning purposes. In this case, you can define per material that the forecast requirements should be divided according to a finer period pattern for planning. You can also define how many forecast periods are to be taken into account during requirements planning. The splitting indicator is defined in Customizing for MRP per plant and per period unit and is assigned to the material in the material master.
    Time-Phased Planning
    Use
If a vendor always delivers a material on a particular day of the week, it makes sense to plan this material according to the same cycle, in which it is delivered.
    Features
Materials that are planned using the time-phased planning technique are provided with an MRP date in the planning file. This date is set when creating a material master and is re-set after each planning run. It represents the date on which the material is to be planned again and is calculated on the basis of the planning cycle entered in the material master.
The net change planning indicator and the net change planning horizon indicator are irrelevant for materials planned using the time-phased planning procedure. The system does not therefore set these if changes are made in the planning run.
If you want to plan a material earlier than the specified MRP date, you can enter an MRP date during the planning run. For example, if the planning run is set for Monday, you can bring it forward to Saturday instead.
If you use the SAP Retail System, the system proposes the planning cycle from the vendor sub-range when you create a material master record. The vendor sub-range contains all the goods of a particular vendor that, from a logistical view, can be planned similarly.
Time-phased planning can be executed using consumption-based planning or MRP:
If you want to carry out time-phased planning using consumption-based planning techniques, the requirements have to be created using the material forecast. If you use consumption-based planning, only the forecast requirements are included in the net requirements calculation. For reducing the forecast requirements, you can choose the same settings in Customizing as used for forecast-based planning.
If you want to carry out time-phased planning using MRP, all the requirements that are relevant to MRP are included in the net requirements calculation. For this purpose, the indicator Time-phased with requirements must have been selected in the MRP type. The forecast requirements can also be taken into account in this process.
    Safety Stock Calculation
The safety stock depends on the service level that you specified in the MRP II view of the material master record and on the accuracy of the forecast. The more accurate the forecast, the smaller your safety stock can be.
The following figure shows that, without safety stock, customer demand can be satisfied by 50%. It also shows that it is almost impossible to satisfy customer demand 100% of the time. Factor R describes the relationship between forecast accuracy and service level (SL).
If replenishment lead time is greater than the forecast period by factor W, then the mean absolute deviation (MAD) is recalculated for this period (formula 17). The MAD is a parameter of forecast accuracy. Otherwise, see formula 18.
    Safety Stock (SS) Formulas
If the material is produced in-house, the delivery time is: opening period + in-house production time + goods receipt processing time. It is expressed in workdays. The forecast period is taken from the material master record and is also expressed in workdays.
If the material is procured externally, the delivery time is: goods receipt processing time + planned delivery time + goods receipt processing time. It is expressed in calendar days. The forecast period is taken from the material master record and is also expressed in calendar days.
The safety stock calculation may lead to rounding effects.
    Minimum Safety Stock
You can specify a minimum safety stock. If the result of the safety stock calculation is lower than this limit, the safety stock is then automatically set to this minimum value. You enter the minimum safety stock in the material master record (the MRP 2 screen).

  • HT4623 I need to update my iPad to IOS 7.0.6, because my company requires it, but they didn't approve the update until 7.1.0 was out and that is not allowed yet.  How do I resolve this issue?

How do I update my iPad to a supseded version of IOS?
My company requires me to use the most recent IOS version approved by corporate, flight department and the FAA.  This is never initially the same rev as the current IOS revision available from Apple for install. There is always a gap between when Apple releases the update and when its approved for us. My not infrequent dilemna is that occasionally, at least, we are not approved to update to a more recent revision to IOS, until the day of an even more recent revision release, which is of course, not yet approved for my group.
Yet, we are required to always use the most recent company and FAA approved rev.  Where may I find a link to the (recently) outdated install file or what other process would allow compliance with my situation?

This is a concern amoung many corporate users.  It's going to take somekind of policy change with apple.

  • T420 line cord international compatibility with 220v

I recently purchased a T420 and the line cord to the AC power adapter has two white tags; one saying 3A 125V for US and the other saying 3A 127V for Saudi Arabia.  On the end of the cord which you plug into the AC adapter it is written in raised letters  VAC7S  3A  125V-.   The AC adapter it self is rated for 110-240V.  My concern is the line cord as I figure there is a reason for noting the 125V and 127V usage.
I called Lenovo tech support who sent me to post-sales support who sent me back to tech support who sent me back to post-sales support who sent me to pre-sales support.  No one could assure me that the line cord was compatible with 220V.  One person advised me to carry an adapter, another told me to purchase a 220 to 120 power converter, another told me he thought the line cord would work but could not guarantee that it would function correctly (my thinking is it might melt down and cause a short or fire) and another person suggested I visit the Lenovo website and purchase a line cord and AC adapter for international use.
Has anyone purchased a Thinkpad T420 in the US with a North American Country pack power supply (no other choice given at the time of purchase) with the 125V tag attached and then used that equipment in a country with 220 voltage?  Any problems?

    KMF wrote:

The reason for the notice is to specifically advise you that the AC cord is safety compliance rated for those voltages.  If you need to use the power adapter for the higher AC voltages that the adapter is safety compliance rated for, and you are concerned about regulatory compliance issues, or other possible OH&S risks, you need to use an AC cord which is safety compliance rated for the AC main voltages concerned.
The AC power cords used for ThinkPad power adapters are standard types and cords safety compliance rated to suit local voltages are readily available, usually at quite modest cost, from electronics (and similar) stores in most countries.
If regulatory compliance issues or other possible safety risks are not significant issues for you, then in practice the 125V cords do appear to work OK with up to 240V AC mains power....... but you need to understand that you are running them outside of their safety compliance rating and no one should ever officially recommend that you do that.
My personal solution is toI carry 240V AC rated power cords with my Thinkpads and use adapters at the power outlet end of the cord to access the local mains voltage from the outlet..... that way I can be confident that there will be no latent safety issues with possible insulation failure in any location that I may need to use my ThinkPads.

  • Track new rules updated in Rule Architect in CC 5.2 after upgraded frm CC 4

    Hi ,
Can anyone of you guide me if we can track the rule changes done in sod tables.we have a scenario we have upgraded from cc 4 to cc 5.2.
I am not sure how many rules are there earlier..
Let me know if you need any more info here.
    Thanks,
    Tiru

    Thank you for your reply.
The 5.2 risks are identical to 4.0 in every way. We certainly are comparing several users/roles and both sides to ensure information is accurate and identical.
We've seen a note to SAP but I've also come across a note, 1121447, "CC 5.2 - Update to Processing Logic of Rules"
    [https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1121447]
The note describes that the processing logic of Compliance Calibrator rules has been updated, so in a general sense, this potentially describes why I would be getting more violations in CC5.2 than CC4.0.
Has anyone had a chance to read this note? Has anyone come across this before?
    Comments welcome!

When I use the same Task Sequence (or any other deployment) on a system built from our old .WIM created with the same Build and Capture Task Sequence they always install immediately.  I am thinking it has something to do with the default SCCM Client
upgrade package available by default, but I had our SCCM owner verify that has been disabled in the hierarchy.
The deployments are set to ignore maintenance windows and things of that nature.  It appears to be an issue with the agents state when it comes up out of the build process.  It checks in with the Site and processes assignments for Compliance (DCM)
without issues as well.  The build and capture new WIM/System builds just seem to not want to install anything.
What makes this issue even more odd is that if I leave the system on for several days sitting at the "Waiting to Install..." state, the agent finally works out whatever issue it is stuck on and begins to work without issues.  If I don't use
the WIM for several days after it was created, the WIM will also stop experiencing the issue too.
Has anyone else run into this too?  This was working a couple months back and I went to create a new WIM in December and it hasn't work correctly since.
    Thanks..Jon

I have identified the source of the problem, but no solution yet.   The blocking program is found under SMS_MaintenanceTaskRequests in the local client WMI Namespace Root\CCM\SMS_MaintenanceTaskRequests.  The GUID that is found in there has
a matching TaskID to a TaskID found in the SMSTS from the Build and Capture Task Sequence logs.
This is found in the SMSTSLog from the Build and Capture process showing the same Task GUID referenced (followed by a failure I cannot find good info on).  C:\SMSTSLog\SMSTS.log

  • Proposed changes to Business Model and effects on BW Reporting

    Dear All
The Business is giving consideration to reducing (consolidating) its current number of Business Areas in use. They are stating they are not sure whether it will just rename some of the current Business Areas or create completely new ones.
We are trying to establish what issues the proposed changes will produce in our reporting? There are obvious ones, around modelling for example, and we'll need to liaise with our Internal Audit but are there any specific Governance,  Risk Control or Compliance issues around reporting we should be asking the Business to address?
Does anyone have any thoughts/experiences they want to share whose companies have undertaken something similar?
    Thanks in advance
    Helen

I will just brain dump some thoughts - they may or may not be applicable
Business Areas? as in the SAP term Business areas or the generic term
If this were me - I would start to worry about the statutory requirements as business areas tend to get used for segment reporting under IAS14
SAP brought out the segment ledgers in ECC6 to get around some of the process problems currently within the profit centre and business area concepts.
These technical objects previously did not allow up to date balanced balanced sheets for the segments due to the month end SAP process runs required to fill areas of the balance sheet not posted directly by standard SAP transactions. (ie subledger GL to PCA posting runs)
The new ECC6 segments resolve this by deriving (much like CO-PA derivation rules) the segment portion at posting time - thus the balance sheets balance
From a reporting process point of view this is a massive tool in the armoury as some aspects of Sox or some countries GAAP compliance require a balance sheet to be available within 14 days of asking (hence the problem with month end processes)
As with most aspects of BI and BW - the technology is the easy part (no matter what the postings in this forum suggest) - the problem is always the process and legal compliance, as reporting is the end game and only highlights problem with updtream processes.
From a day to day process - the problems that you may encounter will be the change in processes of default business areas for automated postings (ie some business areas are going to take the hit for, say, write off amounts, unless that is SAP substitution and validation rules are written to allocate the postings correctly)
What are you going to do with the historical data - are you going to remodel it with new look ups in BW and write the data back intot he cubes? As reloading historical data could take some time
And then if you do restate the historical data - the internal auditors are not going to be happy as you now have no backup for the original tax/statutory submissions

  • What is meant by Time Phased Planning?

    Dear Experts,
What is meant by Time Phased Planning?
Pls tell me both functionally & how we do it in SAP...as i am an Abapper
    Kind Regards
    Sajid

    Dear,
If a vendor always delivers a material on a particular day of the week, it makes sense to plan this material according to the same cycle in which it is delivered, but displaced by the delivery time. This is possible with the time-phased planning procedure.
Materials that are planned using the time-phased planning technique are provided with an MPR date in the planning file. This date is set when creating a material master record and is re-set after each planning run. It represents the date on which the material is to be planned again and is calculated on the basis of the planning cycle entered in the material master record. For materials that are planned using the time-phased planning procedure, the two indicators, the total change indicator and the net change planning indicator are irrelevant. Therefore, they are not set by the system even if changes that are relevant to the planning run are made.
The system uses the interval between the MRP date and the availability date of the next MRP date for the requirements calculation in the planning run. Existing stocks must cover this interval. You must bear in mind that if nothing is ordered at the first MRP date, you have to wait for the next MRP date before you can plan and order this material again. Therefore, if an order proposal is created during this planning run, it will not be available until the end of the interval.
The requirements are calculated using the following formula:
forecast value for the interval (cycle + purchasing department processing time + planned delivery time + goods receipt processing time) + safety stock
    this may help u

because of historic reason in history of SAP there might be the risk to misinterpret your question.  This would be my first answer:
1.) check this document first: SAP EHS Management for Beginners
2.) check may be:SAP Product and REACH Compliance - SAP Library
Some "topics" are dealed with this SAP solution
3e.) years ago a product if TechniData was available called "Compliance for products". Regarding many of the functions therein: these are now mainly available in the above mentioned solution or in the new solution as shown here:

  • Thread safety for synchronization process

We are invoking multiple instance of our
application and attempt to issue synchronization calls simultaneously in order
    to perform some load testing.
Is the Oracle lite synchronization process thread safe? Does anyone have
recommendation on how to perform concurrent synchronization from the same
    computer?
    We recieve following exception:
System.AccessViolationException {"Attempted to read or write protected memory.
    This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."}

Did you have a windows form or a web based application? Did you use LoadRunner to invoke multiple concurrent synchronization calls to move data from the lite database to the back-end database? Also, was LoadRunner executing against one instance of your application or multiple instances? Were application instances running on one machine or multiple machines? We are just trying to get a better understanding of your application/load test setup and see if it was structurally similar to ours.
We basically have a windows form based application designed for a single user. This application allows user to synchronize data from Olite to back-end Oracle database after user has completed their data entry.
We wanted to test the performance of our synchronization process. That is how many user can concurrently synchronize their data at the same time.
Given that our application is a single user application, we decided to invoke multiple instances of application on a single machine and then simultaneously try to synchronize (via a tool) each instance of the application. Hence the error.
    Thanks for your feedback.

  • Business process and business unit in compliance calibrator

    Dear Experts,
Can any one please tell me the use of business process in rule architect and business unit in mitigation control.
    Thanks and Regards
    A.Rama Krishna

    Dear Rama,
Basically business processes are the actual day to day processes any oraganisation carries out. When we have to group tcodes / functions for rule creation , we group them according to a business process so that we can easily relate them to each other within the business process. Eg : Procure to Pay.
So the rules have to be created such that in this process there are no SOD violations in the access given to users. Thus it makes risk analysis more logical and simple for analysis.
    Thanks,

  • Jmap: portability and safety for snapshotted process?

I'm working on tracking down a memory leak in a java application that's at the heart of my employer's business. Right now, we're restarting it periodically, and watching it closely with nagios.
I'd like to do a jmap dump and jhat analysis of the heap while it has a lot of memory in use - but before I do, we need to answer the question: "Is there any risk to the process inspected?" Has anyone ever seen or heard of a java process getting messed up (say, writing corrupted data?) as a result of a jmap?
Another, slightly less important question is: Can I jmap on a windows machine and analyze the resulting file on a Linux machine?
    Thanks!

    Gang,
I've just purchased a new iMac for myslef and am gifting my "old" iMac to Niece.  Original iMac has Snow Leopard upgrade (came with Leopard) as well as Word for Mac -student addition.  I also have an external backup drive and use Time Machine as specified.
What are the easy and appropraite steps to provide my niece a "new" iMac (clean and free of my items) as well as protect my info so I can place on my new iMac?  Will I also need to de-authorixe audible for iTunes?
Thank you for your help.  I know this is probably a very basic procedure but I want to get it correct and ensure I don't harm either iMac.

Well I don't think your niece is going to rob you blind or sell your company secrets to the highest bidder, so a full 7x- 35x government grade overwrite and operating install is likely overkill.
Just likley some personal files, pictures and videos, stuff like that you want to make sure doesn't get seen.
My suggestion is to clean out your user level files manually in each of your Documents, Pictures etc folders, any bookmarks in browsers (reset Safari, clear cache) and emails you don't want carried on.
Then download and run the cleaning aspects of OnyX, followed by a Disk Utility > Erase Free Space option. (in your Applications/Utilities folder)
    http://www.titanium.free.fr/
You can create another Admin account in her name/nick and delete the first one with your name and all that.
If you really want to get rid of your name from everywhere in the comptuer, then the only option is a c boot from the installer disk, Disk Utility Erase with Zero (7x or even 35x overwrite) and then resintall OS X and shutdown the machine,
When this is done, OS X boots into the first "Welcome to OS X" video you saw when you first setup the machine. Of course you lose Word as that's not on the installer disk. But LibreOffice is free and much much better.

Your allowed up to 5 computers with your iTunes content, but you can deauthorize the computer in iTunes so it doesn't take one of your authorizations.
Also before you do anything, make a MANUAL backup of your data to another drive just in case Time Machine/Migration ***. etc doesn't screw the new pooch on you like it's been known to do.
I always c boot off the new installer disk on new machines and Disk Utility Erase with Zero option the entire boot drive then reinstall OS X, it's not that I'm paranoid, it's that drives are not checked for bad sectors at the factory, they just slap OS X on it and off it goes, problems appear later on as people use the drive or can't read the software correctly off the drive.
So I map off the bad sectors ahead of time, so the software is on good sectors and never have a post issue like others do with new machines.
If you ordered a Mac with custom software installed, obiously your going to need to reinstall it after this.
