Process Integration with Biztalk?
Hello, are any of you using Biztalk as your middleware for process integration? If so, would you mind sharing some of your experiences with this solution? We're in the process of buiding a business case as we migrate to SAP AFS from our old and antiquated ERP system. Thanks.

This is a forum for the product "SAP Process Integration", not for process integration in general.
I am sure, Microsoft offers a forum for BizTalk. Put your question there.

BPEL Process Integration with CEP?
Hi,
I would like to integrate a BPEL Process which generates a continuous stream of data, with Oracle CEP application.
The use case is that the continuous stream of data gets converted into events by the adapter in CEP application and these events get filtered based on some criteria in the Processor and then the filtered events will be pushed to POJO where my business logic to present this data on a HTML Dashboard is implemented.
Please let me know the detailed steps in achieving this as I'm very new to this application.
Appreciate your help!
Best Regards,
CCHi,
It sounds like you are off to a pretty good start. I would begin by creating the EPN using the eclipse tooling. The helloworld sample application contains an example of a simple custom adapter which is probably something you will need to create to connect CEP to BPEL. Or you could use JMS as a bridge between BPEL and CEP, as well.
Hope that helps.

MM Configuration for integration with SAP SNC
Hi,
I need to make MM configuration required to support PO collaboration and SMI process integrating with SAP SNC.
ANy kind of information would be very much helpdull
Thanks
VikasHi Vikas,
MM configuration for PO collaboration is depend upon the your requirements. e.g. You want to upload the confirmations send by the supplier from SNC web UI to your R/3 system you have to use confirmation control key while creating PO in R/3 and make corresponding supplier confirmation control either optional or mandatory in SNC configuration. Default provided by SAP is optional.
Remember supplier can create confirmations only if ther either optional or mandatory.

Process Integrator authorization question
Regarding the API that Process integrator exposes for both the client and server
is there any authorization performed at the EJB and method level. I haven't found
any documentation on this. For example, I log in as a non-admin user into Process
Integrator and use the EJB Admin object to try and create a template definition,
but I shouldn't have the permission to do this.I don't know much about WLPI, but I have forwarded this along internally and
someone should be contacting you soon.
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm not sure where to ask a Process Integrator question so I have
decided to ask here. I have been asked to look at business
process (workflow) automation. I have read the datasheet and your
whitepaper on Process Integrator and my question at the moment
is "How do we integrate Process Integrator with existing sets of
EJB's? How does it tie together with WebLogic 5.1 (is it a bunch
of EJB's deployed on top of the app server ala Commerce Server)?
I'm looking for more technical answers so that I have some
understanding in estimating how much work/effort it would take
to use this product. I also know that this is your engine for your
future Collaborate product, however, that product will not be
available soon enough to tackle our customers current needs.
Thanks for your patience in reading this long message and
I would appreciate any answers including "forget about it until
Collaborate goes to market!". I would like to give an honest
technical reason to my manager about why we should
consider using Process Integrator.
Thanks again!

Unable to login Process Integrator Studio/Worklist
I'm unable to login the weblogic process integrator's studio/worklist.(evaluation copy). I successfully installed the Process Integrator with cloudscape database and commented out "weblogic.security.realmClass=..." and created the users, groups and orgs. Having done so, I am able to bring the server up, but unalbe to login the studio. It does not take any of the 5 users (defined in weblgic.properties) with the respective passwords, though these useraccounts are sucessfully created in the database. message reads: make sure username, password and server URL are all correct. null No server found at T3://localhost:7001 It also diplays "com.bea.wlpi.WLPIPrincipal".

Hi
I am trying to use Process Integrator with two realms, LDAP for my project
and the RDBMS one for Cloudscape. My problem is that if I define the realm
as
weblogic.security.realmClass=weblogic.security.ldaprealm.LDAPRealm
even if I add all the groups and the acls in the ldap (originally in
Cloudscape), the system does not allow me to authenticate, i.e. if I try to
use The PI Studio, it fails the authorisation as admin.
I have tried various combinations of the realms and the acls, but nothing
works. Does anyone have any idea how to make the ldap realm work with the
authorisation?
Thanx,

Integration with Process Manufacturing
We are looking at upgrading Financials and Process Manufacturing to R11i early next year. Currently we use i2's Rhythm Factory Planner but are interested in the APS developments.
Which APS modules are available for use with OPM? Also where can I get an indicication of the cost per module?I've got this info from Oracle. Hope this helps. OPM is integrated with APS now.
1. It uses the advanced planning engine and global ATP.
2. Demand Planning integration is in the works.
3. Manufacturing Scheduling is purely a discrete option and not needed for
OPM.
The pricing of APS for OPM is the same as the standard APS and is priced by Cost of Goods Sold. You may get the price details from your local Oracle sales. -
Process flow - Active Directory integration with Enterprise Portal
Hi
I have seen number of documents/forum discussions on integrating Microsoft Active Directory (LDAP) with Enterprise Portal, but unable to find out the process flow for achieving the same.
I have installed Enterprise Portal 6 (SP13) running on Web AS 640 (J2EE Standalone). The UME is currently configured to use Java database. (i.e datasourceconfiguration_database_only.xml)
I intend to proceed as below for integrating with Active Directory and integrate with Windows authentication:
1) Configure UME to use an LDAP Server as Data Source using Config Tool
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/cc/cdd93f130f9115e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
2) Configure Enterprise Portal UME i.e http://<host name>:50000/irj - System Administration - System Configuration - UM Configuration
<b>Should I configure Data Sources & LDAP Server here as I have already configured these using J2EE Config tool (point no.1).</b>
3) Integrate Windows authentication with EP using IISProxy module.
I hope the above will enable me to logon to Portal without supplying username and password once you are logged on to the PC using your Windows user name and password.
Also, any schema updates required to Activie Directory i.e What additional data is stored in A.D.
I would appreciate your guidance on this.
Thanks in advance,
ChanduHi Chandau,
you wanted that some users are not taken into account by the User Management Engine (UME).
This behavior can be established by specifying the
ume.ldap.negative_user_filter property for the LDAP data sources in the data source configuration file. Using this property one can define that all users and accounts that
match the defined conditions are filtered out by the UME API.
A detailed documentation can be found in the SAP Online Help:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/9a/f43541b9cc4c0de10000000a1550b0/
content.htm
In the following example of a data source configuration file for Microsoft Active Directory
Server the attribute userPrincipalName is used as Logon ID of a portal user id (j_user).
Here the user accounts that have one of the following Logon IDs (index_service,
notificator_service and cmadmin_service ) are filtered out.
<dataSources>
</dataSource>
<dataSource id="CORP_LDAP">
<privateSection>
<ume.ldap.negative_user_filter>
userPrincipalName=[index_service,notificator_service,cmadmin_service]
</ume.ldap.negative_user_filter>
</privateSection>
</dataSource>

Integration of PI 7.1 with BIztalk
Hi,
I want to integrate PI 7.1 with Biztalk.
What are the best options to integrate ? Which adapters are the best for this integration ?
Any extra steps we need to perform for this integration ?
Any blogs or documents with screenshots about this integration ?
Thanks in advance,
J AugastineHi Augastine,
You can use SOAP adapter to integrate both the systems depending upon your requirements. As an example please see page25 in this document:

Synchronous process integration scenario with PI 7.1
Hi all,
Iu2019m trying to create a process integration scenario which contains two actions. Both actions use the same synchronous interface to a web service which takes some parameters and returns a value. When I check the configurability it displays the errors:
Connection from Action1 to Action2 has no outbound interface
Connection from Action1 to Action2 has no inbound interface
and the warning:
Connection from Action1 to Action2 has no mapping
I first assigned the service interface as outbound interface to Action1 and inbound to Action2. Next I tried to assign the interface in- and outbound to both actions, but this didnu2019t change anything on the message. The same scenario with the interface set to asynchronous seems to be valid (but looses the return value of course).
Can anyone give me a hint what Iu2019m doing wrong? Is there any special consideration for synchronous communication which doesn't apply for asynchronous services?
Regards,
TarikDeleting and recreating the actions and service interfaces exactly the same as they were before solved the problem. Seems as if changes in the interface objects sometimes are not activated correctlyu2026

SMSY define ERP system with Process Integration instance
Hello,
We have connected new installed ERP system (ERP 6.0 EHP3) to central SLD (SAP SM EHP1).
But we can see the strange situation.
SMSY define automatically this ERP system as the system with Process Integration instance but not ECC Server instance.
We have not installed Usage Type PI in the ERP system.
Also we have old ERP system in SLD. It is visible as SAP ERP system with ECC Server instance.
What is the strange behaviour of SMSY? What should we do and how can we correct this definition in SMSY?Hi,
Check what you have selected as "Main Instance" in SMSY under tab Software Components.
Follow this link.

Has anyone integrated with PaymentTech for credit-card processing?
My client would like to capture credit-card payments using PaymentTech payment processor. We are using Oracles Apps 11i. I am aware that AR is integrated with iPayment for credit-card processing. However iPayment uses Cybercash as the payment system and it does not currently support voiceauth (i.e. ability to capture/settle payments based on an authorization not obtained via iPayment).
Has any one done any custom development to integrate directly to PaymentTech (or to a
3rd party application which integrates with PaymentTech)? I would appreciate if you can provide any directions.
Thanks.
