Process m000 died, see its trace file

Oracle keeps crashing. When i look at the log, i'm seeing Process m000 died, see its trace file. In the trace file, i see the following error message.
Process m000 is dead (pid=20243, state=3):
Unable to schedule a MMON slave at: Auto Flush Main 1
Attempt to create slave process failed.
Can happen for several reasons:
- No process state objects
- Reached OS set limits
- A shutdown was going on
Check alert log for more details.
Does anyone know what is causing this? We are currently running Oracle 10.2.0.4 on solaris 10.

      Check alert log for more details. Also, once the clients could establish the connection, i checked the total number of sessions and it was around 550+ (only few were active) and was decreasing by time. My init.ora parameter PROCESSES has the value 600.
    Is it because that the number sessions has exceeded the total 600 ?
    Or, was it because of some other reason ?
    TIA,

  • Process m000 died, ksvcreate: Process(m000) creation failed

    Yesterday I couldn't have any client connection to the XE database. Logged in as sysdba and was unable to do any select statements. I bounced the listener but still no client connections were possible. A look at the alert log reveals the following:
    Mon Jul 31 14:00:24 2006
    Process m000 died, see its trace file
    Mon Jul 31 14:00:24 2006

    This was repeating itself every minute and no trace file was created, even though it mentioned checking the trace file.

    While logged in as sys or system, I was unable to shutdown the database with immediate or abort option. I have to kill the pmon process.
    Can someone help me with an explanation as to why this happened?
    Thank you

    その前後にORA-xxxxのエラーメッセージはないんでしょうか?
    接続要求に対して最大プロセス数の設定が極端に小さい場合に同様の現象になることもあるようです。

    Then I created a new tablespace:

    I didn't understand what do you mean with thread...
    But I think you found the problem
    Initialization files of both ASM instance are: SPFILE='/dev/spfileASM'
    that SPFILE is (common for both):
    +ASM2.__oracle_base='/u01/app/oracle'#ORACLE_BASE set from environment
    +ASM2.asm_diskgroups='ONLINELOG','ARCHIVELOG','DATA'
    +ASM1.asm_diskgroups='ONLINELOG','ARCHIVELOG','DATA','STORE'#Manual Mount
    *.asm_diskstring='/dev/asm*'
    *.cluster_database=true
    *.diagnostic_dest='/u01/app/oracle'
    +ASM1.instance_number=1
    +ASM2.instance_number=2
    *.instance_type='asm'
    *.large_pool_size=12M
    +ASM1.local_listener='LISTENER_ASM'
    +AC
    Then I executed another query:
    From ASM1
    SQL> select instance_name from v$instance;
    INSTANCE_NAME
    +ASM1
    SQL> select name, state from v$asm_diskgroup;
    NAME STATE
    ARCHIVELOG MOUNTED
    DATA MOUNTED
    ONLINELOG MOUNTED
    STORE MOUNTED
    SQL>
    From ASM2
    SQL> select instance_name from v$instance;
    INSTANCE_NAME
    +ASM2
    SQL> select name, state from v$asm_diskgroup;
    NAME STATE
    ARCHIVELOG MOUNTED
    DATA MOUNTED
    ONLINELOG MOUNTED
    STORE DISMOUNTED
    SQL>
    Than the question is:
    how can I mount the disk group STORE also on ASM2?
    I think the problems is into the spfile lines:
    +ASM2.asm_diskgroups='ONLINELOG','ARCHIVELOG','DATA'
    +ASM1.asm_diskgroups='ONLINELOG','ARCHIVELOG','DATA','STORE'
    How can I change the +ASM2.asm_diskgroups value?
    Thanks

    ora -1110 errors are throwing when iam going to startupDid you lookup this error on the Internet ??
    What does the alert_log tell you??
    The Google answer on this is:
    ORA-01157:cannot identify/lock data file string - see DBWR trace file
    Cause:     The background process was either unable to find one of the data files or failed to lock it because the file was already in use. The database will prohibit access to this file but other files will be unaffected. However the first instance to open the database will need to access all online data files. Accompanying error from the operating system describes why the file could not be identified.
    Action:     Have operating system make file available to database. Then either open the database or do ALTER SYSTEM CHECK DATAFILES.
    Edit: It is recommended to post database version and OS version also, including more information.

  • MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. See RFC trace file or SAP system log for more...

    Ingo,
    I am getting below error message in BO Test environment when I refresh WebI document.
    MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. See RFC trace file or SAP system log for more details
    It was working when we migrated the objects initially. Subsequently when we try to refresh WebI document we are getting the above error message. It still works in BO Dev environment and the no of records are the same in Dev and Test.
    I am able run the underlying BEx query in SAP BW Test environment and it does return data.
    I checked ST22 and SM21 log, but no details there.
    Is it related to Authorization on the Universe or Bex Query?
    We are in the middle of UAT and not able to move forward. I would greatly appreciate your input.
    Thanks
    Ram

    Ingo,
    I ran the zip file and added the required entries to registry.
    And then I tried to reproduce the error, but the files are not generated instead I noticeed below error message on the server:
    The description for Event ID ( 7939 ) in Source ( Crystal OLAP Client ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Registry Access Error: , [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE]Software\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\MDA\Log\Modules: The system cannot find the file specified..
    Does tha t mean we do not have permissons to read the registry?
    I would greatly appreciate your input.
    Thanks in advance.

    I enabled the trace as below
    alter system set timed_statistics=TRUE
    alter system set sql_trace=TRUE
    After this, I ran sql query from scott as below.
    select count(*) from emp;
    After this, i checked in user dump directory. The trace files are generating... But this sql code is not appearing in the trace files...
    Am i missing anything... Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    This may happen when the trace file is not completely closed.You may try again doing like this,
    alter session set sql_trace=true;
    select * from emp;
    alter session set sql_trace=false;After this,disconnect and exit from your session as well. This should close the file completely and you should be able to see your command in it.

  • Location of client trace files sync'ed to the middleware

    Hi
    In the documentation (link below) it is mentioned that trace files sync'ed from the client to the middleware can be opened with an editor (on the middleware) but where are the files located?
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/42/f9943fbaf93268e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
    Thanks for any help,
    Andre

    Hi Andre,
    The transaction ME_RTRACE is used to set the trace settings on the MI client instead of the user of the mobile device setting it. This is usually handled by the administrator. Just by setting this on the middleware will not get the trace on the middleware. The process is as follows:
    The administrator makes the trace settings on the middleware. This is updated on the client device when that device makes a sync with the middleware. Now if the administrator wants to see the trace file then he has to activate the checkbox - Send with Next sync or the user on the mobile device can select the option - Send trace to server.
    This trace can be viewed in CCMS. For this go to transaction RZ11 - Mobile Infrastructure - Logs and traces.
    Here you can do a select for the particular device which you are interested in.

    You can also do :
    SELECT * FROM V$DIAG_INFO;to see informations about diagnostic locations of that instance.

  • No trace files in udump and bdump.

    Dear all,
    I have oracle 10g on linux.
    There are no files in folder bdump and udump.What could be the reason.
    Is there any parameter that need to be set.
    Please advice.

    Hello Amit,
    Looks pretty strange you have all parameters set properly and you have physical directories available but you are not seeing any trace files.
    Try this little test and see if oracle generates trace files.. or not.
