Process of Input Schedule is not ending

I am inserting the data in Input schedule and after clicking on Send data.
The Process of input schedule is not ending.
Please help me,

You have problem with send data (process of send is not finishing) when Send Governor process is not working any more.
Restarting the OsoftSendGovernor process will probably solved the problem for a while but you have to investigate what was causing the fail of SG.
Usually you have a problem with one dimension or the application server was overloaded...You have to do some investigation.

Bpc input schedule does not show all data

Hello gurus, i have i question, a bout the following situation: i am using SAP BPC 7forNW , and i am creating an input schedule , it has account and entity, so i capture several values and then send data, and then appears a message , like this "all values were sent ,zero failed."
But, at the end, only a few of the sent values are shown, several of them disappear with no pattern, and in BI7 all of them appear correctly
What can i do in order to show all of the values that were caprtured in that input schedule?

Hi,
The easiest thing you can do is that just remove some of the data from excel cell and "Refresh and expand" the Input schedule after you send the data to see whether you get the data correctly.
Sometime refresh more than once and see you get the data.
Optimise the application as well.

Could not initiate the BPEL process :the input xml is not well formed err

I am calling a bpel process from the bpel console. It is a syncronous process and just fetches values from the database. I see that when ever i call this for some inputs i get the following error , in the response.
Could not initiate the BPEL process because the input xml is not well formed, the reason is :
Error parsing envelope: (1, 6168) Invalid char in text. Please correct the input xml.
When i see the log i have the following message

I understand that the error is coming with parsing the output from the database values. Further i see the process is completed successfully when i see the flow and log and the out is present in the output response. Has any body faced this issue. What is that character that it is nto able to parse as the error says.

I have tried it using both xml and the initiate tab. I get the same error every time i do it for a particular value. i further think that this is occuring for the out put response that is got from the data base as the log says. ( given in the initial post). I can surely paster the input xml for you

Function call from Input schedule

Hi,
As Sorin said that you can call the logic from DM package. In that case you need to create a SSIS package with run logic task and you need to pass the logic name to that task alongwith the other required parameters. You can refer to the FX restatement package to check the parameters to be passed to a run logic task. In the same way you can call your script logic.

Correct Data is not shown while opening Input Schedule

I am facing this issue almost in every template i create
After saving data in a particular template in an input schedule, i reopen the template from the dynamic templates library(etools -> open dynamic template)
But the data saved previously does not appear, instead it shows the values saved when the template was originally saved.
How to get the data newly saved data on opening the template automatically ?
List of options i have tried>
Have refresh on workbook open checked (etools - workbook options) - does not work
Have expand on workbook open checked - (works, but takes too much time to load the workbook, need not expand as the row & col expansions are quite static and only data refresh is required)
Have tried "MNU_EANALYZE_REFRESH" macro on workbook - does not seem to work fine (although when i click on the refresh buttton on the opened workbook/sheet , new data is being fetched correctly.
Have tried "MNU_ESUBMIT_REFRESH" (but this is not the right macro) as it gives a pop up on workbook open.
Any possible solution to the same will be greatly helpful
Has this been solved in any of the SAP 's Support pack versions... Im on SP03.

Hi Sridhar,
You are absolutely right. Refresh on workbook open does not work as expected. The only workaround is to select expand on workbook open.
You can try another thing. you can right a macro which will run the refresh menu command when the excel is opened. and this macro will be available only to this workbook.

To open a BPC excel input schedule through a Business Process Flow

Hi,
I have a Business Process Flow that has to open an excel input schedule.
In the define actions tab of a Process step, I have chosen the BPC for excel interface and open template option.
I browsed the necessary template to be opened.I have also provided the required inputs for member selection.
Now when I open the Business Process Flow and Select this Process step, it opens only the BPC for excel interface and not the excel input schedule template.
Can anyone expalin the reason that caused this problem and also a solution to fix this issue ?
PS :I am trying to open this Business Process Flow using BPC Web and my BPC for excel is not open yet.

how can I enter data in an input schedule on a member in the EPM Add-On that is not a base member?
E.g. I want to implement a top-down-planning scenario and I have the following hierarchy:
Europe
     Germany
     France
     UK
     Spain
     Italy
How can I enter a value on Europe in an input schedule in order to allocate this value afterwards?

It should be something like below -
EuropeInput
Europe
     Germany
     France
     UK
     Spain
     Italy
EuropeInput shall be kept out of hierarchy and should be a base level member. Users will enter the numbers in this member. In your script logic, you will make use of this member to allocate the data in Bas(Europe) i.e. Germany, France, etc.
Effectively, after allocation the same data will be rolled up to Europe.
Many top-down planning would use such work-around as BPC doesn't allow writing to parent node.

Could not process file 'Input 110110b.txt': com.sap.aii.adapter.file.

I have a FILE Adapter using FTP as a transport that is generating a very odd error.
The FTP sender channel is giving the following error is set up to retreive all files (*) from a specific directory. If you look at the error, it indicates an error processing the file 'Input 110110b.txt' as a file -- the only way this filename woudl be visible is if the adapater interrogated the directory, or the filename was hard-coded in the file mask. But the error indicates it can't change to the directory. The only way it would have come up with the file is if it had already CD'd t that directory.

My first thought was a simple permission issue, so I opened a connection to server with FileZilla (an FTP client) and was able to retrieve the file without a problem. I was also able to drop a file in the directory. There is no permissions problem.

Please check the below points before processing any file
a) check the File placing by a Local Plant FTP owner is using the same authentification credentials It means both PI and source team needs to use same FTP User ID and login credentials otherwise if suppose if source team is placing with one User and PI cannot able to pick that file as this User cannot have permissions in this case also u will get 550 error
b) I know what ur telling is u manualy palced one file and able retrive...but do one thing u can login with same PI FTP login server credentials and then place the file with different name also I suggest lets test the channel by simply keeping
. not simply * if you keep simply * then u cna use in receiver chanel while using dynamic connfiguration.
Else give *.txt and then activate the channel and also please check the CACHE as well

Excel process does not end properly

Hello All.
I am using excel in my program writing data into it an excel workbook and then later on reading data from it. I have written down the code of closing excel worlkbook and shutting down excel application hence releasing the handles for it. But when i do that i.e. when the code containing excel workbook closing and excel application shutting down executes, excel workbook is closed but excel process does not end properly and can be seen in the task manager. And when i repeatedly open the excel file through my front end interface and close the file, another excel process is added in the task manager which does not end and so on. What can be the problem and solution. Thanks in advance.

Interfacing to Excel via ActiveX may be tricky, ending in situations like the one you are facing now.
The basic principle is that every single handle opened to an Excel object (workbook, worksheet, range, variant and so on) must be closed properly for the entire process to terminate gracefully. If a reference remains unhandled at program end you will find an instance of Excel remaining in the task list and you may suffer erratic behaviour in subsequent accesses to the product.
You must double check all references and add approporiate dispose/close commands for every one of them.

Process does not end when binding a object to registry

I am writing a Unit Test case in which i need to create a datasource and bind it to RMI registry so that the methods i need to test can get a database connection . The problem is that after the test cases have finished running the process does not end and i have to shut it down manually . When i do not bind the datasource , the process ends put with errors because the methods do not get a connection. Even unbinding it after running the test cases does not help.

But according to BPEL compiler there are no errors in the design and deployment as well. when i tries to initiate the deployed WS i am facing the above issue.

hi' Kalyan,
The issue seems to be due to XSD file which you are importing while making the new BPEL process,
the XSD file is very sensitive even a simple upper case will create error, XSD file are many times used when you want
to pass some entries to be updated in the database.

Budget data with 0 qty not shown in Input schedule

Hi All,
I have a problem that i uploaded sales budget data with material, sold-to with qty to acutal cube. Many of these line items have 0 value in Qty for budgeting purpose which i can see from the back end. However, these lines seems to be suppressed in the Input Schedule and I couldn't find a way to show them.
Any one has a idea?

Thanks for the reply. The suppression option has been set to N for both Rows (Mat. and sold_to) but that doesn't help. No sure where to "checking the aggregated values in your listcube", i tried to check/uncheck the option of Mat. aggregration, and DB aggregration option, and in any case i can see the 0 value in the output list.
i even hard coded the Mat Row and sold_to row to individual material and sold_to (which has 0 value of Qty) and refresh the IS, then i got a #NODATA.

Vba-m process does not end when program is exited

If I run a game in VBA-M, and while running the game, I exit the program, the VBA-M process continues to run in the background. How do I fix this?

Oh, interesting...
I get this but only if I have the window manager tell it to quit. (i3wm) I then have to send a kill 9 to the process. It seems to not be properly responding to kill 15.
VBA-M will exit properly if I use its own menu option or the ctrl+q shortcut.
