Process order - Forward scheduling

Hi,
I need a clarification on scheduling in process orders for below mentioned scenario:
SO is created for a future date
MRP run
Planned order is created (scheduling for planned order not done)
Planned order converted to Process Order
My query is how the dates of process order will differ in case of forward schduling.
whether start date of process order will be as per basic start date of planned order or the start date of process order will be current date?
regards,
Mohit

Dear Mohit
Converting a Planned Order into a Production Order
If material requirements planning has already created a planned order for producing the material, the basic dates are copied from the planned order and the order start and finish dates are determined in a new scheduling run. If necessary, reduction measures are carried out.
Creating a Production Order Manually
If no planned order exists and you create the production order manually, the scheduling type determines which basic dates you have to enter.
If you enter both basic dates, the system tries to adhere to these dates when carrying out forwards or backwards scheduling. If necessary, the system also carries out reduction measures.
Regards
Sachin

  • Process Order operation scheduling duration calculation

    Hi
We have following formula has been maintained for processing time calculation in resource.
    Machine * ( Operation quantity / Base quantity / Operation splits ) + Setup + Change-over
As per above formula for following procee order qty and time, SAP caulates time.
    Opeartion qty - 100,
    Base qty - 100,
    Op split - 1
    Machine - 0.5 hrs (30 Mins)
Processing time calculated as 30 mins (.5hrs)
When I schedule the process order with same resource for same qty and machine time, processing time is calculated as 33 mins. We dont have maintained any floats in scheduling margin key in material master. We dont have any wait times also.
Can you please let us know why process order operation is having 3 mins tolerance? Any idea where such settings has been maintained?
    Any pointers will be helpful.

    Hi Mangalraj,
    Thanks for your reply.
We have not maintained ay reduction levels in OPUZ for plant and order type combination.
In resource, we have 2 hrs break time and total operating time is 18.50 hrs.
I got following SAP help link for calculation of duration for processing time.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/b1/c04387439a11d189410000e829fbbd/content.htm
Is processing time is calculated based on following formula.
Processing time u2013 Calculated Processing time * (1+ (Length of break / Operating time)
Can you please correct my understanding here?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Process Order detail scheduling picking the std values from Phase.

I'm working on an Implementation scenario, where the Master Recipe contains only one Operation and one phase. After the Process order is created the basic start and End dates remain same. I did check the formula in the resource(on testing its working fine). I did check the control key, formula parameters, scheduling parameters of the process order. I have maintained the std values in the phase appropriately.
Still the process order basic start/end dates are same, even though the process order quantity is of any quantity.
Request all to please provide some inputs.
    Thanks,
    Nil.

Sorry, this is not the right forum for technical questions - please log a note in OSS or contact SAP services. Thanks

  • Problem: Scheduling Process Orders.

    Hi,
I have a problem in PPPI with scheduling in Master recipe and with the process order in CM25. Can you help me?
    In Master Recipe:
I create a capacity category 0025 to display for a resource the setup formula and Processing formula in the Scheduling Tab (as the capacity category 0001 - I also tried to let the capacity category 0001 be used in application C - Master recipe and didn´t work).
In OP40, I created and assigned in applications to C Recipes
Afterwards, I ordered the views in OP13.
When im creating a resource, i prove the formula and i have no problem. But when I assigned it to the recipe and the recipe to the production version to make a process order, neither the master recipe or process order schedules the order.
When I create a resource with a capacity category 0008 (standard) the scheduling works just fine in the process order.
    Scheduling in CM25:
Also when Im trying to schedule the order in CM25, I see two lines of the same order (i guess are the 2 phases 0010 and 0020), is there anyway to just see the second to avoid misunderstanding?
    Thanks in advance!

    Dear,
For FIFO you can use the Characteristic  LOBM_LFDAT for FIFO if is LOBM_VFDAT then in plant storage data 1 view maintain the SELD then assign these Characteristic to class in CL02 then assign this calss to material master.
Then craete sort rule in CU70 withCharacteristic  LOBM_LFDAT or LOBM_VFDAT
then assign it to serch strategy in MBC1 or COB1 with selction criatoria.
In OPL8 assign this serch procedure.
Then create the order and check the result.

  • Process Order Scheduling dates.........

    Hi there,
For the process order where we can do the configuarion in SPRO so that the opreation starts on the basis of earlier dates or the latest dates...
    Thanks
    Kaushik

Using OPUZ transaction you can Specify Scheduling parameters to operations in the Process Orders.
Use the following path via SPRO
Production Planning for Process Industries --> Process Order --> Operations -->Scheduling --> Specify Scheduling Parameters
    Specify Scheduling Parameters
In this step you define the parameters for scheduling process orders for
each plant, order type and production scheduler. It comprises
        maintenance of
        o   scheduling levels (detailed-, production-rate and rough-cut
            scheduling)
o   date adjustment when deadlines are exceeded
o   scheduling control for detailed scheduling
        o   reduction
    Hope this helps you.

    Dear gurus,
In my process order ,in scheduling the time is not being taken though we have maintained parameters in resource and recipe.
    Can anybody help?

    Hi,
Goto SPRO and do the below config.
Production -> SHopfloor Control -> Operations -> Scheduling -> Define Scheduling Parameters for the Order Type.
Goto the above node and select your Plant / Order Type / Prod Scheduler and double click ans goto detailed screen and config the Scheduling Control for detailed scheduling and provisde either Forward / Backward / Current etc.
Do the above config and check the Prod order scheduling and come back if reqd any.

  • Adding Distribution KEY (GLEI) to a new Component at Process order Create

    Hello Experts.
We have a Process Order where all components have the GLEI Distribution Key assigned.  FOr this particular Process order, our Scheduler routinely adds an additional Material Component (with a specific batch number to save operators from having to key in the batch number when reorting production).  The problem is, that when she adds this additional component, the Distribution Key field is greyed out so we cannot assign the GLEI key.  This causes the demand for that particular item to show on dates that dont work for us.  Should it be possible to manually assign the GLEI key to components at the Process Order create stage?
*Note, I have also tried adding the extra component at the Planned order stage, and while the screen allows me to enter all of the details (including Distribution key), when I save the Planned order, the new component does not get saved.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Sched.start date not allowing on week-ends for fwd scheduling process order

    Hello Experts,
For a process order & scheduling typr forward/in time if I take sat or sunday as a start date then if I click on schedule, system changes it to previous workin day (friday). But however if i select backward/in time scheduling type & put week ends as finish day then system does not change this date.
How can I make system to allow schedule start date on week ends also for forward/in time scheduling type. in a factory calendor sat & sunday are holidays. while for work center, calender sat & sunday are marked as working days.
    Thanks for advance,
    Vijay.

    Hi
it depends upon client requirement.you must have defined the holiday calender as well.if you select the public holidays in your factory calender.then system will allow you to do your daily transctions on public holidays as well and vice versa.so better go with all options selected .and plz check at your end
plz revert back if it works

  • Editing of scheduled dates in Process Order Operations

    Hello,
I have a requirement, in which the client would like to change the Scheduled dates in the operation details of a process order.
In the header screen of a process order, if we change the basic start / finish dates (depending on forward or backward scheduling), and reschedule the process order, the process order is rescheduled, with the new dates.
The client's requirement is, they should be able to change the Scheduled dates in the tab "Operation - Dates", of the "Operation overview" screen, in a process order. Normally the field is not editable, and the system calculates the dates, based on the start / finish dates, entered in the process order header.
I would like to know, what is the way out, to meet this requirement.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
As every body else is explaining it is not possible for standard SAP ,  as of normal business or any business scenario why would a client want to change the operation dates from Production order ( still not understood.....)
There are two options to do that:
    1) Copy the whole transaction ( programmes ) into some Z - transaction and in the programme you can change the object ( CO_VG_OPR_*) from being grayed out.
This will alllow you to change the dates.
    2) you can go for enhancement with the following FM
        BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN
I suggest you to clear these things with client. These things require more of ABAP work.
And as said changing the standard behaviour of the system can cause performance issues.
Please close the thread if satisfied.

  • Scheduling Process Order

    Hi
Iam using collective  process order with one subordinate order.
All Phases are having relationship. First phase 0011 has predecessor 0888
When i reschedule header order individually then schedule dates and basic dates of header order changes in increasing order with each rescheduling of header order individually.  Iam using floats before and after production.
This happens while rescheduling  header order individually and does not happen with subordinate order.
But when i add dummy  start operation and phase  without any resource then system does not change  schedule dates and basic dates of header order changes in increasing order after rescheduling header order individually.
Is this standard behavior or Bug?
Please could you check in your system and let me know reason.

    Hi Mayuresh,
Please check your Master recipe activity hours, the system calculates the scheduling dates based on it and OMDW transaction-for rescheduling horizon, tolerance value forward/for displacement.

  • BAPI PROCESS ORDER Creation u2013 can the SCHEDULE Date/Time be specified?

I am currently using BAPI_PROCORD_CREATE to create a Process Order from an inbound IDOC.  This works well, when I pass the following fields:
    BAPI Parameter ORDERDATA
    ORDER_NUMBER      Process Order number (EXTERNAL)
    MATERIAL      Material to be produced
    PLANT              Plant
    ORDER_TYPE      Order Type
    BASIC_START_DATE Start Date
    BASIC_START_TIME Start Time
    BASIC_END_DATE   Basic End Date
    BASIC_END_TIME   Basic End Time
    QUANTITY         Process Order Quantity
    QUANTITY_UOM     Quantity Unit of Measure
However, I have a requirement to also specify the SCHEDULED Start Date (GSTRS) and End Dates (GLTRS), but the BAPI parameters do not the SCHEDULE Dates to be specified.
I have also used the functions CLOI_CHANGES_UPL_31 and CLOI_CHANGES_UPL_45 to create Process Orders successfully, but neither of these allow for the SCHEDULE dates to be passed in.
Does anyone know how I might be able to achieve such a result?
I am trying to avoid the use of CALL TRANSACTION on COR1, so would be grateful if anyone has any thoughts.
In the mean time, Iu2019ll ask the business if it would be possible to apply any rules by whereby if we specified a BASIC_START_DATE, whether it would be able to derive the correct schedule date accordingly.
PPu2019s not one of my better modules, so apologies if whatu2019s been asked above is a stupid question!
    Alistair

    HI...
Pls chk in scheduling control for detailed scheduling in T code OPUZ. and change the scheduling type forwards to forwards in time and backwards to backwards in time.
Now when ever you would create the order system would ask the scheduling dates either start or finish in stead of Basic dates.
Instead of using BAPI you could make a simple LSMW pogram. It would talk 5 min.
This is a standard SAP functionality to select Basic dates because SAP consider all master data for scheduling like Schedule margin key.
I think It would help you.

  • How to disable forward scheduling in Sales order

    Hi SD Experts,
Can you please provide the solutions for the below requirements.
    Requirement details are below:
How to disable forward scheduling in sales orders....
For My sales order type i already configured in customizing that delivery scheduling should only carry out backward scheduling.
The results is tht no forward scheduling in carried out when material is i stock .. this is ok...
But when there is no stock and ATP indiates an expected inward movemnt, the system ignores the indicator and carries out forward scheduling anyway.
Is there any possibility to change this behaviour?
    Appreciate any help....
    Regards
    Sudheer

    Hi
If you do not want the system to switch to forward scheduling automatically, you can specify per plant in Customizing for MRP, in the IMG activity Parameters for determining the basic dates that the system is to continue the backward scheduling calculation even if the resulting start date lies in the past.
    Thanks & Regards
