Process order round to base quantity in recipe called out in production ver

We have a situation where our process order quantities need to round to a multiple of the base quantity in the recipe assigned to the production version selected during material requirements planning (quota arrangement).  The recipe base quantity is determined by the work center volume range .  Therefore we can't use the material master lot size or rounding value because the base quantity will change based on the work center chosen.  So we could have two or more different recipes for the same product and we use the production version to link the recipe to the bill of material.  we use production version quota arrangement to chose which should be used in planning.  I read through the Material Quantity Calculation documentation but I don't see where this fits to what we need.  Any help would be appreciated.

Dear,
What is your base unit?
What is your operation unit? if you want to maintian BBL, then maintain this unit in operation overview of that perticular opration
Now about rounding the quantity - where exactly you want to round it off...during planning or during manual creation?
Enter in material master MRP1 view, rouding value as 1, then whever it is decimal, system make it near to next whole number.
If you want the system to take range of number and to round off...then you need to use rounding profile...in MRP1 view. please come back with your exact requirement os that we will help you out.

  • Process Orders analysis Target Cost & Quantity is showing as zero

    Hi,
I am facing a very pecuilar issue.
On analysing the cost (COR3) of my Process Orders the Target Cost & Quantity is showing as zero.
However, actual costs/quantity is showing correct.
What could be the possible reasons for the same.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vikrant Sood

    Hi,
Are you done with Goods Receipt(GR) from production to Inventory? If GR is not done, you dont see target costs in COR3
Check standard costs of the finished material in MM02-->costing veiw2.If there is no standard costs for materials, you dont see target costs in COR3.
    Hope this helps you.
    Thanks,

  • How to manage two quantity of two unit in process order?

    Hi  Guys
In our plant, we have actived the catch weight management. For products A, we have set the standard conversion relation as follow: 1 EA (basic of unit)= 2.5 KG (production unit).
But when I create the process order for products A, I only can input the quantity of production unit(1000KG) and the quantity of basic of unit cannot be inputted. It will be calculate by standard conversion relation. Now I want to create the process order by using two quantity of two unit(1100KG 400EA). Because we want to see the production plan by using two unit.
Is there some method to do it?

    Hi,
maintain the unit of conversion in Units of conversion in Material master in addition data..from PC to CAR..here base UOM is PC. CAR alternate UOM.
Now in material master in work scheduling view maintain CAR as production Unit as shown below..
Now when u create process order you will get like this..
    Thanks

  • Control recipe destination not available in Process order

    Hi PP-PI Gurus,
When i am sending the process maessages to destinations,i am getting the error"No control receipe destination available in process order".
When we create master recipe using X-steps, there is no option to enter comtrol recipe destination. Infact we asssign the destination in X-step tree.
When the control recipe is created for a process order using x-steps, the operations overview will not have the control recipe destination.
When the status of the control recipe is sent to destination(PI02),the system throws the above error.
Any help on  how to resolve this error.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mani

    Hi Dhavel,
Whether it is PI_CRST or PI_CRST2 i am getting the same error message.
When i am working with Conventional Characterestics based process instructions in my recipe, everything is working fine.
When i use X-steps instead of process instructions in master recipe to create the control recipe, i am facing this error.
So it is clear that , when we are using Execution steps(X-steps) to create PI sheet, there needs some extra settings.
Any body working with X-steps in process order ,request your help please to resolve this issue.

    Dear
Confirmation Reversal through CORS - is cancellation .If the process order was designed for Backflushing and Auto GR, then the reversal of all goods movment also happens when canelling confirmation.
But what sort of erro mesge are you getting ? Are u getting any period issue or scrap reversal ? Did u try in MBST ?
Come back with exct error messeg for farther analysis

  • Component materials incorrectly assigned to superior operation in process order

One of my manufacturing facilities is having a problem with components not printing on process order output.
In all cases, the master recipes themselves look fine when reviewed in C203.  The components are properly allocated to phases (not superior operations).  But when the process orders are generated, certain components are being assigned in the process orders themselves to the first superior operation, instead of to the phase that is indicated in the master recipe.  Here is an example.
Here is the master recipe operation information as seen in C203:
And here is the material assignment list as seen in C203.  Note that component material MM6030 is assigned to Phase 0035:
But when the process order is created, that same component material MM6030 is now assigned to superior operation 0001:
Here is some additional information that I was able to eke out of the folks at the manufacturing facility:
The operations in the master recipe did NOT originally contain operation 0001.  It was added to the recipe in C202 after the recipe was initially saved.
Component Material MM6030 was not originally part of the BOM.  It was added via C202 after the recipe was initially saved.  A different material was originally in its place, and was assigned to a different phase.  After the MM6030 was added to the BOM, the assignment field was blank, and the user assigned it to phase 0035.
Has anyone ever encountered a similar issue?  If so, how was it resolved?

    Hi ,
Possibility  , in C202 , user may have changes the BOM first and re-assign the phase  but in process order level Read PP master did not call
Another possibility manually change the process order component and assign this in Phase in COR2 .Please check  whether it has been added manually in order level .

  • General Discussion - Best practice to manage Process order

    Hi Experts,
Which is the best practice to manage process orders ?
    1. Quantity Change - I can make quantity adjustment in R3 and APO.
    2. Source Change - I can make a version change from order header . Also i can make a source change in APO by selecting a different PPM. Which is the best option.
    3. Re Read Master Data - Best practice to read master data is from R3 or APO ?
I feel for all the above scenarios process ordes should always managed in R3. But still wondering why we have the same flexibility in APO too ?

    Hello,
we are just migrating from 4.6c to ECC 6.0 and I have a couple of workflows to adopt.
For background steps I defined in the corresponding BOR methods an exception to be fired when no result is available (e.g. no mail address available). Normally, I defined them as temporary errors.
I activated in the WI outcome section the line for this exception and so the workflow processed this branch when the exception appeared. It worked fine.
Now, in ECC 6.0, the same workflow get stuck in the WI. The exception is fired (I can see it in the log as "Error message"), but the WI is still in status "in process". It doesn't continue with the error outcome branch.
Is this a new logic in ECC 6.0? Do you have any idea what to do? I used this logic some dozent times in different methods and workflows and it gives me a headache if I have to change everything ...
    Thank you!
    Best regards,
    Thomas

  • Run MRP for process order's requirements only

    Dear Gurus,
is it possible to run MRP only for opened process orders, created on basis of planned orders?
The issue caused by very often production plan changes:
    Example:
    - during the working week quntity of one producing finished good can be frequently changed:
    either down or up.
All these plan changes are shown in data of opened process orders (there is no other useful way)
To make such changes in MD62 won't be correct (plan and fact have to be compared)
At this moment system generates purch requsitions on the basis of all requirements (planned orders and process orders for finished good).
Partition of planned and process requirements will allow us to make the most accurate procurement supply.
Thanks a lot to all who will answer.
    Viktor.

  • Using Component scrap differently in MRP and in production/process orders

    Hello Gurus,
We use Component scrap in our BOMs.
MRP calculates the requirements including the scrap and that is fine. Is there a way that when we create production/process orders the components' required quantity will not include the scrap automatically? We don't want the components to be issued with the additional scrap, but rather issue the scrap by request only if required.
    Thanks

    Not possible.
The SAP logic is tht procurement of RM and Production & consumption has to be in line. Functionally tht is ideal

  • Error for open process order when BOM alternative is not found

    Dear colleagues,
When I open process order. BOM alternative is selected according to the production version. But when  BOM alternative is not found system gives only information message and I can open process order, I want to prevent open process order when there is no BOM alternative according to the production version. Because the Bom can be deleted after creation production version.
    Thanks for your helping,

    Hi,
U need to use an enhancement at the creation of order to check the active status of the bom and restricting the order creation when BOM status is inactive.
see whether following enhancement is useful for your scenario:
    PPCO0006 Enhancement & EXIT_SAPLCOZF_003
    Please confirm.

  • List of process order for particular raw material

    Dear PP Gurus,
Suppose we have one raw material said - X and this is used to create finished product A, B, C an D.
Now I would like to know, In particular period how many process order is created for raw material X?
Ex. for one month only 2 process order usind raw material X are created. 1(finished product - A and 2 (finished product- B)
I tried COOISPI but not getting success.
Through MB51 I can get report of process order against which material is issued. (261 is done)
But my basic req. is to know the process order created.
I am from MM side so no much more idea in PP area.As working for SAP support we have to look little bit in PP ara.
    Thanks all
    Rajan

    Hi Rajan,
You can use COOISPI and select Documented Goods Movement and give the Basic Start date range as you want and execute.
You can use filters in Movement types and get your desired result. 261 is for Goods issue of the components and 101 is for Goods Receipt of the header material.
    Hope it clears your doubts.

  • Add component and Delete Operation in Process order Using COR2

    Hello,
I need to update any process order (Add components in it and delete some operations of it) on the save of the process order.
    Transaction for change PO: COR2.
I have found a badi to change in process order (WORKORDER_UPDATE) Method: BEFORE_UPDATE.
But this badi has all the parameters as Importing. Hence we can not change them.
If we use field symbols in this badi to change the values, will it make any other issues?
I have also identified a user exit EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001 but this exit is called very late in the processing, and you cannot change data into that user exit ...check Note (86553 - Documentation on user exits).
Kindly post your valuable comments and answers.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Production version selection based on Process order type

    Hi,
    I have the following requirement.
A material is having two production version one is for R&D and one is for regular production. Now two process order types one for R&D and one for regular production. Now during creation of process order if we use order type of R&D then it has to select production version of R&D and if we use order type of regular productionthen it has to select production version of regular production. This selection has to be happened automatically. How this can be configured.
    Thanks
    Vinamrath.

    Dear Kumar,
Assuming the production version selection is automatic in  the order type dependent parameters, then during order creation this
can be automated only through validity date of the production version or else by locking the production version manually which
should not get picked or else only through different Lot Size.
    Check and revert.
