Process order scheduling based on in-house production time.

Hello!
I have following problem. My SAP system is configured in that way that process oedrs are schedulled based on times saved in master recipies. When I input data to in-house production time in master data for materials and make new process order, this time is not
taken into account.
Where I have to change configuration to use in-house production time from material master data to make scheduling process orders.
Regards
Bogdan

Dear
Process Order /Production Order scheduling ( Lead Time Scheduling )  based on the Operation timings in the routing not based on the Material Master In house Production Time in Work Scheduling View .
If you are loking for Basic Date Scheduling then it will happend based on material master , scheduling margin key  at material master level .
It depends the selection of Schedueling indicator while excetion of MRP in MD02 .
In case of Process order specifically , you need  to schedule the Master Recipe and check whether operations are getting scheduled, if it is not then you need to first the problem, which may be because of wrong "Forumla" or paramater assigned in resource or the resource is not maintained for Finite scheduling (capacity header).
Master reciepe can be schedule in the change transaction C202, and from menu you would find the option to schedule the recipe .
Also  check the OPU3/OPU5-Define scheduling parametres wether scheuling , adjust scheduling , scheuling type , logs all are in place .
Check and revert

  • Process order scheduling type

    Hi Team,
While scheduling the process ord (COR1) , with scheduling type"No scheduling", when we enter any future date in schedule start & finish date, system changes these dates to "future date-1" & time to 24:00. We need that system should not change the date provided by the user ie keep the date as provided by the user.
    Awaiting your suggestions,
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Jack

    Please refer following notes, 151503
    In that
In-house production time is larger than 0 days:
For material-related orders, the system interprets the order finish date as a requirements date for the material. Therefore, the following rule applies: If an in-house production time greater than 0 days has been defined in the material master, the requirements date is at the beginning of the day, that is, the order finish date is set to 00:00. In this case, the order finish date of the production finish date differs by one day from the order because the production must have already been finished on the previous day so that the material is available at the beginning of the next day.
With an in-house production time equal to 0 days, it is assumed that the material can be produced at any time of a day. For this reason, the order finish date is set to 24:00

  • Process order scheduling

    Hello ,
    I am working on PP-PI.
When i am creating a process order manualy thru t/c cor1 , the order is not scheduled as per the recipe.
The orders start time and end time calculated is same for any date.
I have maintained the schduling parameters in 'OPUZ' and also 'order dependent parameters ' in COR4.
The capacity in resource is also maintained.
What settings more i need to do ?
In resource i am using 'resource category ' as '0001 - machine ' and not '0008 - processing unit' , is this causing the error .
    Regards
    ShankarR

    Hi,
The in house production time in material master is ' 0 ' .As i wanted to do lead time
scheduling i did not maintain it.
For Lead Time scheduling System conciders the Recipe time that's true but for Basic Start and End Date system considers the In House Prod. Time so there is no problme in maintain it.
    Now regarding your Problme.
Problem is Order start and End time both as same 24:00.
In your Master Recipe (Check Scheduling Result of your Recipe - C202 )
    Problme may be due to
    -  Control Key assign to the orders. Scheduling should be active.
    -  Scheduling Formula used in Resource.

  • Process Order Schedule Finish date before Schedule Start date

On rare occasions, the process order Schedule Finish date is before the Schedule Start date.  This causes an error on the APO system when the process order is CIF to APO.  Does anyone have any ideas how this occur?
    Thanks.
    Best regards,
    Sandy

Rajesha, thank you for your reply but it doesn't solve my problem.
    Let me restate my scenario:
I start a process order and both the basic and scheduled finish dates are the same, June 1.
At some point, shop floor tells me they will be late and cannot deliver until June 15.
I need to update a date in the system so the ATP and the MRP planning runs have correct information for promising customers, I will update the Basic Finish date with June 15.
I also need to keep the original June 1 date in order to measure the shop floor performance to the production schedule to measure how early or late the  order was delivered. How can I keep the original finish date or how can I measure if a process order is early or late??
    Thank you for your help,
    Greg

  • In-house production time not considered in scheduling

i have a material, with an in-house production time of 7. requirements date is today, May 23. as a sap standard, using backward scheduling, it shall see that the start day lies in the past, and should switch to forward scheduling, with May 23 as the start date, and may 30 as the finish date. however, the system only proposes a finish date of may 27. why is the system behaving this way?

    Hi,
Please let us explain, where u have carried out  scheduling  ie  during the MRP or in Production order.
I hope ur asking about Production order scheduling , inthat case system will not consider the Inhouse production time. Because lead time scheduling is carried in production order.
Scheduling will be done for routing times not for In-house  production time.

  • In house production time in material master .

    Dear All ,
What will happen if i do not enter ( keep blank ) the inhouse production time in MRP 2 view ?
Where i am using routing for all inhouse produced material . all the scheduling parameter are correct as per routing considered .
i have checked the scheduling in routing for these material , scheduling appearing correctly . So this is supposed to be copied as it is in the planned order --> prodn order ( it is happening ) .
So if i do not use in house production time field in MRP2 what will happen ?
    Pl guide

    Hi,
It is the time to produce a product in a plant in no.of days.
    In-house production time:
Specifies the time in workdays needed to produce the material in-house.
In-house production time is independent of the order quantity.
    Use:
The system requires the in-house production time to determine the planned dates for planned orders in materials planning.
    Procedure
You can define work scheduling times in the material master record in one of two ways:
Either you enter the in-house production time. If required, you can get the system to update this value from the routing.
Or you enter the setup, tear down, processing, and inter operation times. If you maintain these values, the system determines the in-house production time on the basis of lot size.
    Production Planning and Control (PP)
The time required to produce the material in your plant.
You can enter the in-house production time depending on the order quantity or independent of the order quantity. It is calculated by adding the lead times of all operations, the float before production, and the float after production.
I hope it helps you. Any queries please revert me back.

  • In house production time and delivery date on PO

    Hi Gurus,
Can anybody please calrify the following for me? Plant A is procuring material X from PlantB via STO. The planned delivery time for the material in plant A is 21 days. The in house production time of the material in plant B is 3 days. When the STO is created, with a delivery date of 04/26/2010, based on the planned delivery time of 21 days, the material has to leave the plant B by 04/05/2010. But what what about the considertation of 3 days of inhouse production tiume in plantB. How does the inhouse production time play in picture?
    Thanks
    Anusha

    Hi
Inhouse production time in Plant B is considered if there is a planned order or production order is created for material in plant B. If a STO is created in plant A, then system will check only planned delivery time in Plant A only. If you want some buffer, you need to use GR processing time in plant B.

  • In house production time: Routing/ Material Master.

    Hello All,
For a semifinished product with procurement type as "E", thr is a tab for entering in house production time (lot size independent). While creating the material master, i leave it blank. Also, i create a routing for the material.

  • CA96 update of in-house production time

    Dear PP Gurus ,
I want to update material master for in-house production time with Routings lead times.
The system update processing time (lot dependent) but I want to update the in-house production time (MRP2 view).
    Can you help me ?
    Thanks in advance

    I am confused.
Routing is required for production order right. Why do you need this data for reorder point planning?\
Are you producing this material depending on the reorder point planning?
If so whether your production rate is independent of lot size? like you need 100 to or 1000 to, the time taken is same? is it true?
Kinldy let us know your business scenario...looks to be intersting.

  • In house production time & MRP

    Dear All,
What is in house production time? How it function during MRP run?
Please provide some example against explanation.

    Hi,
In house production time is a time in workdays (maintained in MRP2 view of MMR)  needed to produce the material in house. This time is either dependent / independent of the order quantity / lot size. This time is used to determine the planned dates of the planned orders in material planning.
The basic dates are determined only by the lot size independent in-house production time and independently from the order quantity.
The floats are not included in the calculation of in house production time but actually form the part of in house production time.(The total floats are maintained through the inter operation time).
Hope this will clear your doubt.

  • Sales order schedule confirmed date will consider Production capacity load

As we know about schedule confirm delivery dates of sales order will consider based on material master lead time ,shiping point etc
How to consider production capacity plan on sales order's delivery date.
    Say for example :
Production workcenter capacity to produce the XYZ material 10qty in a Day.
today i have created the sales order XYZ materail qty of 100. lead days has give based of MMR 21 days 17-07-2010( 3 sundays)
and in same day i have created other sales order XYZ material qty 5000 ,the lead days again it will came 17-07-2010.
Now my client requiremnt is when the schedule days is confirming in the sale order it sholud also consider the production capacity planning also(CR01,CR02)
Even though my work centers are overloaded it is confirming the sales order on 17-07-2010 (based on leads days in MMR)
    Need your Inputs on issue

    Hi,
This is a complex issue; best solution is by using APO/GATP.
If not, then in ERP only, the second best is:
    1) Work with assembly processing in SO, meaning that a production/planned order is automatically created in the customer order during order creation.
    2) Then, after the order is created it is scheduled, and the delivery date proposal is based on that.
    3) Now you can check in the order that there are no capacity overloads, and all capacity required to produce on the proposed date is available. If yes, you're done. If not, it gets a bit complex, since you actualy need to switch to capacity planning, do capacity leveling and dispatch (PP), and the you get a new feasible schedule proposal based on that.
APO/GATP could do all that automatically!

  • Get Process Order List Based on Date Range and Order Status

    Hi all,
Iam using BAPI_PROCORD_GET_LIST to get the entire list of Process Orders based on selection criteria as plant. However I have noticed that there's no selection option to get records between start and finish times neither does any option exists to get only the released or open orders.
To filter records based on Start Date/Finish date or get records with specific status, we need to get the entire list of records that exists for a plant and then use repeater/condition action to filter the same. Fetching the complete list and then filtering is an overhead. Does anyone know a solution to this or does anyone have been in this situation ? Is there any other BAPI that supports the filter criteria to get open/released orders from SAP. Do we need to modify the BAPI to include Process Order start date and end date or System status as selection options ?
    Appreciate your help !
    Regards,
    Gilmour

    Hi Gilmour
I would say you have 2 options here..
    1. Create a new RFC with the search params as you want them. Write the logic accordingly.
    2. Use the Enterprise services for Production Order where you can say you want Process Orders. The Service that has Planned Start Date and End Date along with Status is ProductionOrderSimpleByElementsQuery_sync. See Link [here|http://esworkplace.sap.com/socoview(bD1lbiZjPTAwMSZkPW1pbg==)/render.asp?id=D507C16176BE11DA36BB000F20DAC9EF&fragID=&packageid=DE0426DD9B0249F19515001A64D3F462&iv=]
This service is available from ECC 600 onwards.
You can call the Enterprise Services using the Web Service Action block.

  • Process Order Quanity based on Component Quanitity

    Hy,
In most cases the component qty. are depends on prodcution/process order quanity, but we have a scenario in which Order quanity is only decided on the basis of Active component's avalable qty of a single bacth which is based on its potency.
    For example
1.0) If available stock of a single batch of a active ingredient is 5.5 Kg (Assay is 97.5%) then we can take process order quantity of 5000 Nos.
2.0) If available quanity of a second batch of a actuve ingredient is 3.1 kg and (Assay is 98%) then we can tak process order quanity of 2800 Nos.
Due this we can not set our lot size. For every single bacth of active ingredient we have to do manual calculation of a process order quantity.
So pls guide how we can map this scenario for both planing and process purpose.
    Regards,
    Dhaval

    Hi Dhaval,
I can suggest you to search any planning strategy available where you can create the planned order based on component.
If it is not there then create one custom transaction where you can get the component availability along with batch ids. and use the same quantity for creation of Header material production order.
We have developed custom transaction for PO creation where we adjusting or assigning the batch on availability.

    Shailendra
