Process Order uses Wrong Exchange Rate for Activities

HI Everyone,
When posting hours to a process order, I noticed that the exchange rate being used is based on the first of the month rather than the point of entry.  How can I change that so that its picking up the current M exchange rate type with the current date rather than the first of the month.
Thanks,
Pete

Hi Sridhar,
Thanks for the reply.  I actually did that.  Our company uses 1 version for both plan and actual (version 0).  In there, I found that the rate was originally "P" and had a value date of 01/01/2007.  I changed the P to an M and deleted the value date of 01/01/2007 and found that at least now, the rate being used to translate the hours posted in the process order are using the M rate.  However, I still can't figure out why its not using today's rate to exchange the company currency to group currency.
At my previous employer, we always separated plan and actual version by keeping 0 the actual version and creating a new version each year to house the plan data.  I'm assuming that is usually a best practice viewing this situation now?

  • Wrong Exchange rate for Import PO with past Condition Price date

    Hi
We do update Exchange rate type "M" on daily basis, but exchange rate in Import PO is wrong. While creating import PO, the PBXX condition automatically obtain the "exchange rate" with Old "condition price date" despite the Table "TCURR" has maintained updated data. Why system behavior is like this?
As per our requirement, system should obtain the data based on PO date. Kindly help with your experiences.
    Prashant

    Hi Biswajit,
Use the user parameter EVO to indicate that no price adoption from last Purchase Order must take place:
IMG: MM -> Purchasing -> Environment data -> Default values for Buyers -> Setting for Default values.
Select or setup a default value and on the "price adoption" tab you may choose how copying of conditions from last purchase order must behave. Select "Do not copy". Then assign this default value to the user, using the EVO parameter.

  • IPhone uses wrong exchange account for outbound email

I have two Exchange accounts that I need to keep separate. I cannot figure out how to get iOS to not send ALL outbound emails through one of the accounts. If I'm in Exchange account "A", I want outbound emails to go out through A... if in B, then B. This use to work fine but now all outbound email goes through account A.
In the email, I can set the account, but regardless of the account I choose, it always goes out from account "A".
Any thoughts on how to solve?

Same problem here, same situation - two accounts on one iPhone. No matter which acct used for sending all outbound emails had account "A" for address. I checked all the options in settings and in the email send for choosing the correct account but all email was delivered from "A" no matter what.
I discovered that the default "A" account was setup for SMTP but the "B" account did not have SMTP validated. It showed a password but it also showed account "A" as a secondary SMTP server.
I took account "A" off account "B" as a secondary SMTP server. The next email sent from "B" required a password. When I opened settings, completed the password for "B" and the SMTP server validated.
Now email sent from "A" is delivered from "A", email from "B" is delivered from "B".
Thanks for pointing me to the solution!

  • Using an Exchange Rate Type other than 'M' in a Purchase Order

I use several exchange rate types in SAP for various currency positions, specificially with pricing.
As a result, when I create a Purchase Order I want to use a different Exchange Rate Type, instead of the standard 'M'.  I have seen the rates can be placed directly in the Purchase Order, but I would like the system to look up the required rate using a specific exchange rate type.
Can anyone provide any suggestions or guidance based on prior experiences ?
    thanks
    gino ruggiero

    Dear Gino Ruggiero,
The MM functionality always uses the "M" rate.
Not able to release Purchase doc.

  • Wrong Exchange Rate in Imports Purchase Order.

    Hi
While creating the Imports Purchase Order, the system is picking up the wrong Exchange Rate.
We have maintained the Exchange Rate as
    Exch. Rate Type: M
    From currency: EUR
    To Currency: INR
    01.03.2010 - 70.35000
    01.02.2010 - 66.15000
But when we are creating the Purchase Order, the system is picking up 44.17
Why the system is behaving like this?
Note: there is a entry in the system as follows:
    EURX           INR            EUR            01.01.2001      /44.17000
    Is this related with this?
    Please advice.
    Regards,

    Hi all,
You may check in OBBS first for " M  EUR INR", you can see field "Alt. ERT".
For your case, the "Alt. ERT" should be assigned with EURX, thus system will read
OB08 for entry "EURX EUR INR".
You may also refer to note 128809 and note 135661 for some details.
    Thanks and regards,

  • Wrong exchange rate entered for MRC conversion. How to correct it?

    Oracle GL with MRC instance
    RDBMS : 9.2.0.5.0
    Oracle Applications : 11.5.10.2
We entered wrong exchange rate in daily rates for MRC conversion for APR-11 period. Users already posted 5000 je lines in local currency which have been booked in MRC books with the wrong exchange rate.
Is it possible to reverse those JEs and then correct the exchange rate and re-enter the period JEs?
    Is there another alternative?
In AR there are some invoices and payments but no accounting process have been executed. If we correct the x-rate and then run Payables Accounting Process will those transactions be accounted with the correct x-rate?
    Any advice will be welcome.
    Francisco.

First thing is, "Maintain Masterdata" option is disabled for 0RTYPE, because Master / Text data is not enabled for this object. This is the only reason, why system does not allow you to maintain the master data.
Regarding the SID error, have you restricted the 0RTYPE with the 9165 in your query?

  • Is it possible to use an exchange rate of any date  for amounts of a cube

    Hello experts,
Is it possible or not to use an exchange rate of any date (ex : 23/02/2009) for amounts of a cube where the time are ONLY Fiscal Period.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the immediate response.
    The situation is..
We have the cube , that has only FISCAL PERIODS.
The user want to apply an exchange rate of the date 23/02/2009 (which is NOT the last day of the period !).
See here the values of the table TCURR,, for the dates between 20/02 and 05/03.
Normally, the user wants to use the Rate of the 23.02.2009 --> 0.87800
Currently all the queries gives a calculation based on the rate of 0.89330, which is related to the 1st day AFTER the posting period that correspond to the given key-date.
    1.There are 3 fiscal periods ; 001 / 002 / 003.
2.The calculated rate (0.89335) correspond to the TCURR rate of 02.03.2009 (value 0.89330)
which date correspond to the 1st day after the fiscal periods (002) in which the key-date (23/02/2009) was choosen.
    Hence, we can say that the key-date is u2018Recognizedu2019 by the system as a true referenceu2026 (the choosen period correspond to the choosen key-date) ;
BUT, it seems impossible to get the rate of a specific date, for a cube that has only FISCAL PERIODS.
    I am looking for
    1.looking in the literature whether this case is explained clearly ;
2.eventually, finding a way to respons to the useru2019s ,needs
    thanks in advance.

  • Split invoice due to exchange rate for letter-of-credit

    Hi Guru,
Orginially, I was trying to create a combined invoice and the the split msg appears. After some checking,  so I update the exchange rate for all S.O.  remove the Letter of credit, save, reapply the letter of credit to S.O..  and the error msg still appears.  So I then try to create invoice per S.O. and found that split were due to the letter of credit rate diff within the S.O.
    e.g.
    S.O. 12345 , exchange rate 1.5
    S.O. 23456, exhcange rate 2.0
    1. I update S.O. 12345 to exchange rate 2.0.
    2. try to create invoice,  msg appears.
    3. check table VBKD and found that the whold order exchange rate = 2.0 but for a few line item, the letter of credit exchange rate still = 1.5
Can anyone recommed how I can update the letter of credit rate ?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rebella

Thanks.  I guess i didnt explain my problem clearly.  we create invoice using sales order not delivery note.  We have a TPO process,  we create SO, Vendor PO, and Vendor ship good directly to customer.  We GR against PO, then bill using SO#.
Hopes it is clear enough for more help.

  • Wrong Exchange rate on the Contract (ME31K

    Dear Sap Guru
I am writing to you in order to know if there is a solution to our problem.
    The scenario is quite easy:
1 u2013 Suppose to insert a wrong exchange rate during the Contract creation (tcode ME31K)
2 u2013 When you will create the scheduling agreement (ME31L) based on the Contract, the wrong exchange rate will be copied to the SK.
3 u2013 The GR based on the SK will be valuated to the wrong exchange rate.
About the point 1 and 3 there is a way to check the difference with the current exchange rate, like a tolerance limit for the Exchange rate?
About the point 3 is it possible to set the system in order to value the GR based on the current exchange rate instead to use the exchange rate stored in the purchase order.
Please let me know if you need more information in order to find a solution.
    Regards

  • Wrong exchange rates ...How to reverse the material document.

    Hello,
I have an issue with Exchange  rates . Now   i want to reverse the  invoice document & Material document  . When i have reverse the invoice document  it has taken the new exchange rate.

  • Exchange Rate for PO / GR / IV

    Hello All,
In Standard the exchange rate type M is used for the PO / GR / IV.
For a plant , due to legal requirements a different exchange type has to be used.
How can the system be configured to use a non- M rate for a specific plant?
    Kind regards

    Hi ,
The exchange rates are maintained at compnay code level . We can use custom exchange rate and same has to be assigned at the code level and at not at the plant level . All the financial posting happen at the company code level and hence I feel there is no standard SAP functionality which satisfies your requirment.
For example in the case of  purchase order exchange rate is at the header level and plants are at the line item level . Hence i think it requires Bespoking .

  • Exchange Rate for Excise Invoice (J1IIN)

    Hi Experts,
which field the exchange rate is considering to calculate the excise duty for export excise invoice?
We are maintaining Exchange rate in OB08 with Exchange rate type--M (Standard translation at average rate) on daily basic as per Bank Exchange rate.
But in excise invoice we want to calculate an exchange rate from customs which is maintained in different Exchange Rate Type (it will be changed on monthly basic).
We need to copy same exchange rate from billing to Excise Invoice which is not 'M' maintained in Company code setting in CIN config.
    Please suggest,
    Regards,

customer master level??is there any link between customer master and purchasing?
for my case, i have the exchange rate maintained in OB08 under exchange rate type "M" and rate of 1 JPY = 0.608 INR
during migo and after the conversion i got the below exchange rates for the respective custom duties.
BED = 28,742 JPY, after conversion in MIGO 17,475.13 INR, exch rate of 0.6079997912462598
AED = 12,740, after conversion in MIGO 7,747.02 INR, exch rate of 0.6080863422291994
CESS = 575, after conversion in MIGO 349.54 INR, exch rate of 0.607895652173913
SECess = 288, after conversion in MIGO 174.76 INR, exch rate of 0.6068055555555556
why is there a slight deviation among the exch rate among the 4 excise duties?is this behaviour normal?
because if i were to calculate using exch rate of 0.608, the results for the 4 excise dutie should be as below
BED = 17475.136 INR round off to 17,475.14
AED = 7745.92 INR round off to 7,745.92
CESS = 349.6 INR round off to 349.6
SECess = 175.104 INR round off to 175.10
please advice whether is there anything wrong and if the slight deviation above is a normal behaviour for 'M" exchange rate.
Also, i have also tried putting the 'fixed exchange rate' in the PO header but it's still havng the same symptoms.
    Thank you.

  • Fixed Currencies Exchange Rate For Customer

    Dear Experts,
Is there anyway in system that allow us to maintain fixed currencies exchange rate for a customer.
Currently, when create a Sales Order, system will take exchange rate from OB08 which i dont want. Because we have a fixed exchage rate for different customer (which agreed upon).
    Thanks,
    Eunice

    Hi
There is no specific fixed exchange rate specific to the Customer.
But , you can use different exchange rate types in this case, even this also should trigger the TCODE:OB08
If it is the compulsory requirement...use the Substitution, using the "user exit"....give the logic for the "user exit"   like it should pick the rate from the "Z" table , there you can maintain the rates from time to time.

  • Wrong exchange rates entered and documents posted need to be updated

    Hi Friends,
We have a situation where wrong exchange rates were entered at the end of month and lots of documents were posted with the wrong exchange rates. All these documents need to be updated with the correct exchange rate. But system will not allow changing the exchange rate in already posted documents. One option is to do mass reversal of all the documents posted, change exchange rates to correct rates and then repost all the documents with the correct exchange rate. Is there any other better option or SAP Program available to update exchange rates in all these documents instead of doing reversal and reposting?
    Thanks and regards,
    Pinky

    Hello,
You can do foreign currency valuation (for Vendors/ Customer/ GL balances) through TCODE: F.05 or FAGL_FC_VAL. This will ensure that as at the period end, your open items are currectly valuated. This will post the exchange difference to P&L & B/s and  will automatically give you the correct picture as at the period end.
If there are lot of entries posted then Foreign Currency Valuation will be a good option. This will save lot of time in reversing and reposting all the incorrect entries.

  • Cannot use Row Exchange Rate in the Draw Document Wizard

    Hi Experts,
I am having problems while trying to post an AP Invoice which is copied from a Goods Receipt PO. I made two transactions in GRPO:
12/28/2011 - I used the BP Currency which is USD and the exchange rate of PHP 45. Doc No.1198
12/29/2011 -  I used the BP Currency which is USD and the exchange rate of PHP 47. Doc No. 1199
While adding the AP Invoice on 12/30/2011,  I have an exchange rate of PHP 46.
When trying to add the AP Invoice, I used Copy From Goods Receipt PO and I higlighted the two doc numbers 1198 and 1199. In the Draw Document Wizard Row Ex. Rate Prices I have selected the Use Row Exchange Rate from Base Document.  However a system message appears which says Base Document Exchange Rate cannot be used, the rows will be updated using the target document exchange rate.
My presumption is that when I choose the Row exchange rate from base document, SAP will automatically copy the row exchange rate used in the documents so for the transactions in 12/28, the rate of PHP 45 shall be used and same goes for the 12/29 which is PHP 47.
How should I go about this? Am I missing a step here? By the way, I am using SAP B1 8.82 PL01.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best Regards,

    ABM Global Solutions

    Hi Rahul,
You said 'It is not at all concerned with Exchange rate during GRPO...' If that is the case how does the Use Row Exchange Rate from Base Document in the draw document wizard work? Does this mean 1 GRPO : 1 AP Invoice so I can use the base document rate?
How should I go about with transactions like these? That is adding an AP Invoice from multiple GRPO's having different exchange rates. What I am trying to capture here is that in the AP Invoice, base document rates should be used in the row item level and not the current rate when adding the invoice.
    Thanks,
    Michelle
