Process Order without BOM

I want to create a Process Order without a BOM & Recipe . Is that Possible ?
I tried the following :
Material Master setting MRP 4 view -Explosion/Dependent Requirements section define " "(Blank) for Selection Method field
Order Type Dependent parameters (COR4)
Production Version Blank :
Recipe: Do not use Master Recipe
But the problem is that I cannot keep BOM application Blank
BOM application has the link for selection ID which is linked to BOM usage .
I am not able to bypass this check in any way & as a result it gives an error (No valid BOM) on Process order creation
Shall appreciate a response

Yes, it is possible to create process order without BOM & master recipe.
By having some config settings in place for BOM & recipe selection, you can create process order without BOM & recipe in SAP.
Normally, this scenario comes into picture where you're not sure about the operations to be carried out and materials to be consumed for an order.

Error for open process order when BOM alternative is not found

Dear colleagues,
When I open process order. BOM alternative is selected according to the production version. But when BOM alternative is not found system gives only information message and I can open process order, I want to prevent open process order when there is no BOM alternative according to the production version. Because the Bom can be deleted after creation production version.

U need to use an enhancement at the creation of order to check the active status of the bom and restricting the order creation when BOM status is inactive.

Creation of Process Order without assigning master recipe

Hi,
I want to create a process order without having default master recipe for the given material or default operation for the given order type. I want the user to select the master recipe manually in process order. We do not want to use production version also.
We can define the default operation for the order type (OPJG) so that we can create a process order. I do not want a default operation in the process order but the user should select a valid master recipe. If we have default operation in the process order, it serves no purpose as it is never used anywhere.
Is there any way we can achieve this?

I need to show data related to
Process order request
BoM
Now in selection screen we are entering the followings.
Manufacturing Plant ,MRP Controller, Production scheduler, Order type , Order , Material, Sales order, WBS Element,Release,Scheduled start, Scheduled finish ,Selection profile.
how to get 1> Process Order number,Produced Material,Material Description,Print date,Narcotics indicator , Quantity produced , Phase number , Phase description ,Resource description,Standard value to show in a request form.
2> Item category ,Component code,Component description , Component quantity ,Component Unit of measure ,BoM base quantity.
Please help me how to get those values , what should be the aaproach , how to write the select quiry.

To get BOM details, do the following:
1. Use the material number and goto Article to BOM link table (MAST) to get STLNR (BOM).
2. With this STLNR, goto STPO table (where STLNR is the key field). Here you will get all the BOM details like components (IDNRK), UoM (MEINS) etc....

What I see in the system, I was able to create a prod order without maintaining master data for PP ( expect material master)
Is there a situation/scenario where we create a production order without BOM, Rtg
Does the above situation applies to scenario like special procurement key ( 40- stock transfer from other plant )

When you covert a planned order to a prod order with reference to a material (CO40), it will ask for routing
if rtg is not maintained for the material, the system will automatically pick the default rtg from OPJG
When you create a prod order ( without ref to a material- C007), say suppose for unplanned rework we have
maintain the rtg and BOM manually to the prod order
Lastly, FOR SPk - 40 ( Stock Transport) for the issuing plant both BOM & Rtg needs to be maintained in the recieveing & issuing plant

Please tell me we have creating Production order without BOM(Bill of Material) & post the BOM Component of Production Order Manually. when developing the report Material Number wise then BOM not found in the report. So, i want to know that how to relate BOM Component with Material Number & which will be table to use in this report.

which report?
If you don't select the BOM, then certainly there is no BOM component.
Furthermore, BOM are not referenced in the production order, but the components copied into the order, i.e. these are saved in table AFPO.
But if the components are not maintained manually in the production order (same table), and only the consumption posted directly as unplanned consumption, then you will have trouble getting a link. Possibly only in MSEG by identifying the production order number as the cost collector.

CO and Process order without material using T. Code CORO

We need to use Process Order without material functionality for recording "changeover" time and cost (i.e. setting up process for production of other material in a production line).
For this purpose we have configured a separate process order type. We have created a separate activity for Changeover and planned rates using KP26.
Now we create Process Order without material using T. Code CORO and confirm it using COR6N. On confirmation system successfully credits Cost Center.
We need to know:
1) whether we should settle the process order as well or no need to assign settlement profile to Order Type
2) Or should we run Cost Estimate first.

Srinivasa, your suggestion is very good, especially when calculation of variances/WIP is required. But again as there is no cost relevant material where the WIP/Variances will be settled during settlement process?
1) PP need to create process order without material because changeover cost should not be charged to either material and capacity hours are consumed during changeover. 2) CO need to identify the cost of changeover which should be charged to cost center. So far we have achieved both of these two objectives by the following activities:
Creation of Process Order without material using CORO T.Code say 3 hours of changeover occurred we create order with quantity of 3 Hours. And confirmation of activities quantity 3 using COR6N so cost center is credited by 3 x rate per hour. As there is a separate Process Order type for Changeover we can identify changeover quantity and cost in a given period.
After contributors feedback in this thread I have come to conclusion that I don't need to assign Settlement Profile and PA Structure to Changeover Process Order type. So no need to run Process Order settlement. As there is no specific required for Changeover WIP/Variances as well.

BADI/EXIT - COR1 (block release process order without number batch)

There are a BADI ou User EXIT in the transaction COR1 to block the release Process Order without number of batch created??
In COR2 OK, but COR1 I don´t find. I tried all the possibilities that knew!!!

T code CORO
create a order w/o material for rework qty
Make the same entries as described under Creating a Process Order With a Material. Use OPJG config to have a default operation defined for the plant and order type combination.

Rework process order without price calculation

Hi friends,
Our client at present rework process order done through edit or change or add the a BOM manually from the T.code COR1, because of that my costing has been changed hugely it will hit my price diff account, After Costing run price will change 10 to 50 Rs like that.
How to do without price calculation for the rework process order ,please provide the solution for this requirements.

what do you have in 'BOM slection field' MRP4 view of the header material?

BOM component Qty is getting rounded to next value in Process Order and BOM

We are in ECC 6.0, and maintaining BOM where Item quantities are decimal places e.g 0.3lb with respect to Hader qty. Now when we are craeting process order or exploding in CS11, we are seein that item quantities are getting rounded to next full integer e.g 1, 2 or 3.
What could be the reason for this behaviour.

In standard "lb' doesn't have decimal point
If you want decimal point
go to CUNI
select the mass
you can find the lb
maintain the decimal point as 3, & decimal point rounding as as 3, system will show 3 decimal point in process order and in CS11

1.First in OS30 - Application Specific criteria for Altern.Determination,include a
new entry named ZP00 - NO BOM and dont include any of the check boxes.
2.In OPL8 - Order Type Dependent parameters,Under Routing --Sequence
Exchange must be "0" & Routing slection also should be "0".Under Bill of
material,--BOM Application ,select ZP00 & save.
Check with this & Revert to forums.

Create Process Order without requiring a GR

HI,
Does anyone know if it is possible to create an order type for rework purpose that allows us to allocate operations but requires no material goods issue but mainly requires no goods receipt.
We need the input batch, Hu's, serial numbers to remain the same as the output material has not changed it has just been re-labelled.

What is the purpose of the rework order for the business?
It seems you just want to just book all labor costs for relabelling/rework but not have any input ( Goods issue) or output (GR).
At one client for a similar requirement to capture inbalances in actual inventory vs system inventory we had 1 open order each month that would have all the unaccounted labor costs booked and GI for excess inventory was done to the order.
This order was then closed out each month end & costs settled at period end.
The process was well accepted & worked well for this client of mine.
