Any body explain me how to use sm50 Transaction (Process Overview)

Sample could be
When you have initiated a data load from R/3 to BW, then go to sm50 transactions in both R/3 and BW.
You will see proceses initiated by R/3 to fetch data from respective tables. You can also see the program name. In R/3 you will find these processes under your id.
in BW, you can see 2-3 processes under the ALREMOTE ID (as a dialog process). Action of data being inserted into ODS/Info cube tables is also shown.
THis level of monitoring is done to check if theres a smooth runing of processes. If not, then analysis is done and if some process is a bottleneck for others, then the same is killed.

Is it possible to include t-code information in tx SM50 (Process Overview)?

Hello, folks!
I'm the Basis guy responsible for monitoring SAP system activities at the company I work for, and one of the main tools I use to do this task is transaction SM50 (Process Overview), which give us some valuable informations, but one very important and missing info is the transaction code that started the corresponding process, as transaction code is the most known form for both technical staff and end-users to determine what is being done in the system.
I asked our ABAP team to develop a custom ZSM50, but they're struggling to find a way to include this information, so we would like to ask for help, if any of you knows a way or a hint on how to do it, please inform us, and we would be very grateful.

I don't think you can rely on a 1:1 relation from process to transaction code, the programs that you see active in SM50 could be started by background jobs, asynchronous RFC and probably many other techniques that would not allow a 1:1 relation to a transaction.
Not 100% reliable, so not really possible, in my opinion.

How to Change Column text of Iview HCM Process Overview

Please Help,
I am trying to globally personalize the Copy of the Iview HCM Process Overview . The column texts have titles such as Object Type and Object Key. I want to rename them Person ID etc.
I was able to "Hide" some columns in the Iview but when I change the text in the "Settings for Current Configuration" it does not Appy or change the Display.
I am in the Portal Content Administrator, with Admin priveledges. I am opening the Iview objecyt then using Preview.
I then Right cntl click to bring up the Settings for Current Configuration. I am looking at the View UI Element Tree and opening the Grouping of UI Elements. I see the text for the column "Object Key" I change the text but when I save it does not change the Iview text. When I open the "Settings for Current Configuration again the changed text is still there but the Iview has not changed
Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

I have opened the Role object, edited the Work Overview Page inside the role, selected / clicked on the Iview HCM Process Overview, opened the IView HCM Process Overview, previewed it, cntl right click for Settings for current configuration,
Selected the UI Element "Object Type" TEXT and made my changes

Function module to display process overview log from SM66 Transaction

I want to display process overview log from SM66 Transaction in a report.
Is there a function module which will help me in achieving that or is there any other method.

Did you try finding out how SM66 creates the list? You could set break-points e.g. at statement "call function" and see which ones are being called. Look at those starting with TH... especially.

Hi ,
The T-CODE SM66 is Global servers work area . That means it is having all the servers running with in an organization/company etc. When you again double click on any one of the server at that time is shows SM50 of that particular server. SM50 is local server work area and SM66 is global work area.

SM50 --> is for process overview/work process/process analysis and tt shows the status of type of work process and its status.
you can dbl clck on desired process and u can see the details/logs in the window and aslo u can see its programs and SQL statements/locks , database activities ....etc
You can also kill the process with and without core in SM50

Customing employee data in emp related process overview - MSS

Hi Experts,
I have got a requirement to customise the employee data screen ( Eg : remove some of the fields and add few - screen shot attached) under MSS->Team->employee related process overview. The screen gets opened when you click the affected employee field. Please see the screen shot. Can you advise what is the best way to achieve this customisation.

it's a WDABAP component. You can Right click on any field in that screen and click on More Help and then Technical details.
It will show the WD component details. In that you can do enhancement as per your requirement.

ITEM tab in the Approval Process overview IN srm 7.0 AND EP 7.1

Hi Friends,
I am working in SRM 7.0 with EP 7.1..
1 . I have to remove 'ITEM' tab in the approval process overview screen which is apprearing in Portal. approval process overview screen will be appeared when 'Display / Edit Agents' Button in the Header level of the Shopping cart screen.
2 . Remove Approval Process overview tab in the detail screen of the shopping cart.

Easy way is right click, User Setting -> Hide Tab. or User Setting -> More.. Remove display tab
I tried this option but this is each user setting , Can we make this centerlized?
or
Go to SE80 Webdynpro and change the visible property.
I know the webdynpro for this tab but to change this visible property do I need have access key( Core modification ) or any other way to do such as enhancement spot?

Approval Process Overview tab?

Hello,
I'm trying to work out how to populate the approver list table on the Approval Process Overview tab.
We are on SRM7.0 SP7 using a custom application controlled workflow.
The approvers are determined correctly but the approver preview list is not populated.
I have created a container element Approver_List (type BBP_WFL_APPROVAL_TABLE) and populated with approvers like the N-step BADI does but this is not being displayed.
Any suggestions?

To display data element supplement documentation, you must code the following screen flow logic in the POH event:
PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST.
FIELD <f> [MODULE <mod>] WITH <num>.
After PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST, you can only use FIELD statements. If there is no PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST keyword in the flow logic of the screen, the data element documentation for the current field, or no help at all is displayed when the user chooses F1. Otherwise, the next FIELD statement containing the current field <f> is executed.
If there is screen-specific data element supplement documentation for the field <f>, you can display it by specifying its number <num>. The number <num> can be a literal or a variable. The variable must be declared and filled in the corresponding ABAP program.
You can fill the variables, for example, by calling the module <mod> before the help is displayed. However, the FIELD statement does not transport the contents of the screen field <f> to the ABAP program in the PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST event.

"Approval Process Overview" in ECC.

We have SRM 7.0 running in Classic scenario. We have a requirement to see the "Approval Process Overview" Log in the ECC Puchase requistion generated after the approvals are completed in SRM. (preferably at Header)
What are the options available for us to be able to do that ?
There is a Download XML in the Approval process Data field, Can it be changed to Download as Excel, and an excel file passed as an attachment to the Shopping cart and Purchase Requisition ?

The intent behind this scenarios is to split the Approval process in two parts,
a) Part 1: SC Creator creates Shopping Cart and routes for approval on a Technical Basis. Once all technical approvals are completed and Shopping Cart is approved a PR is created with Release Strategy in ECC.
b) Part 2: Financial approver would approve the PR in ECC on the basis of Amount against release strategy. The requirement is for the financial approver in ECC to have visibility on who has Technically approved the Shopping cart without loging into SRM.
Once the financial approver validates that the Shopping cart was approved by a set of people, he goes ahead and releases it in ECC for further processing.
Our challenge is to get the approval lprocess overview from SRM to ECC.

If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then transfer purchases form your ipod.
Without syncing, click File>Transfer Purchases
