Process overview - Use

Need info on process overview Tx: SM66.
What is the use of it? Can any one plz tell with an example?

Hi ,
The T-CODE SM66 is Global servers work area . That means it is having all the servers running with in an organization/company etc. When you again double click on any one of the server at that time is shows SM50 of that particular server. SM50 is local server work area and SM66 is global work area.

Hello, folks!
I'm the Basis guy responsible for monitoring SAP system activities at the company I work for, and one of the main tools I use to do this task is transaction SM50 (Process Overview), which give us some valuable informations, but one very important and missing info is the transaction code that started the corresponding process, as transaction code is the most known form for both technical staff and end-users to determine what is being done in the system.
I asked our ABAP team to develop a custom ZSM50, but they're struggling to find a way to include this information, so we would like to ask for help, if any of you knows a way or a hint on how to do it, please inform us, and we would be very grateful.

I don't think you can rely on a 1:1 relation from process to transaction code, the programs that you see active in SM50 could be started by background jobs, asynchronous RFC and probably many other techniques that would not allow a 1:1 relation to a transaction.
Not 100% reliable, so not really possible, in my opinion.

How to determine the process alias using condition technique in Transportation & Shipment Scheudling?

Dear All,
I am trying to use the functionality Transportation and Shipment Scheduling in GATP.
I would like to know that how the sytem determines the process alias using condition technique in Transportation & Shipment Scheudling?
As the Transportation & Shipment Scheduling functionality can be extended further by using the configurable process to overcome the complex scenario. But it needs that process alias should not be determined by using the condition technique.
Moreover, is it possible to use both functionality simultaneously in the system. i.e. Transportation and Shipment Scheduling using condition technique and Transportation and Shipment Scheduling using configurable process?

Yes, depending on your customizing you can use both scheduling methods in parallel. e.g. you activate CPS just for a specific ITEM category or product and/or customer and/or....what ever you want.

How to Change Column text of Iview HCM Process Overview

Please Help,
I am trying to globally personalize the Copy of the Iview HCM Process Overview . The column texts have titles such as Object Type and Object Key. I want to rename them Person ID etc.
I was able to "Hide" some columns in the Iview but when I change the text in the "Settings for Current Configuration" it does not Appy or change the Display.
I am in the Portal Content Administrator, with Admin priveledges. I am opening the Iview objecyt then using Preview.
I then Right cntl click to bring up the Settings for Current Configuration. I am looking at the View UI Element Tree and opening the Grouping of UI Elements. I see the text for the column "Object Key" I change the text but when I save it does not change the Iview text. When I open the "Settings for Current Configuration again the changed text is still there but the Iview has not changed
Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

I have opened the Role object, edited the Work Overview Page inside the role, selected / clicked on the Iview HCM Process Overview, opened the IView HCM Process Overview, previewed it, cntl right click for Settings for current configuration,
Selected the UI Element "Object Type" TEXT and made my changes

Approval Process Overview tab?

Hello,
I'm trying to work out how to populate the approver list table on the Approval Process Overview tab.
We are on SRM7.0 SP7 using a custom application controlled workflow.
The approvers are determined correctly but the approver preview list is not populated.
I have created a container element Approver_List (type BBP_WFL_APPROVAL_TABLE) and populated with approvers like the N-step BADI does but this is not being displayed.
Any suggestions?

Issue with Process Overview Action in E-separation Request application

Hello All,
We are using Portal 7.4 version.
And ECC 6 EHP 7.
With respect to E-separation request , we are facing the issue as enclosed in the attachment.
Please suggest whether any BASIS configuration like ADS RFC connection is required for this application to display Process overview.

I see some message about a proxy. Have you checked that you can use the proxy from you network?
If not you should turn the proxy off.

Sample could be
When you have initiated a data load from R/3 to BW, then go to sm50 transactions in both R/3 and BW.
You will see proceses initiated by R/3 to fetch data from respective tables. You can also see the program name. In R/3 you will find these processes under your id.
in BW, you can see 2-3 processes under the ALREMOTE ID (as a dialog process). Action of data being inserted into ODS/Info cube tables is also shown.
THis level of monitoring is done to check if theres a smooth runing of processes. If not, then analysis is done and if some process is a bottleneck for others, then the same is killed.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
When you turn on the new iMac for the first time, Setup Assistant will ask you to restore a backup, so connect the external disk and follow steps to restore all your files to your new iMac. Your new Mac will have the same settings and programs as your old computer.
In other cases, I would recommend to restore the whole backup without using Migration Assistant or Setup Assistant, but a Late 2012 iMac uses a special OS X build, so the OS X version that you're using on your old Mac won't work on the new one. How do I troubleshoot installation/distribution of a LabVIEW .exe which processes data using Matlab when it works on some computers but not others?

I've been given the unenviable task of troubleshooting and installing/distributing software written by a former co-worker. I've modified the LabVIEW code and built an .exe file. I've successfully installed the Labview .exe file on several computers, but it won't work on some others. What's more baffling is that I installed it successfully on one computer, uninstalled it, and tried reinstalling it with no success. In fact, it's a new error (Dr. Watson for Windows NT application error). It doesn't help that I have different versions of LabVIEW and Matlab on the target computers. Some have LabVIEW 5.1, some
have 5.0, and some don't have it at all. Some have Matlab 5.2, some have 5.3 (R11) and some have 6.0 (R12). It's also not clear to me where the Matlab m files should be located. I'm not sure if it's a LabVIEW Runtime Engine problem, or if it's a Matlab problem. I've also wondered how LabVIEW and Matlab talk to each other. When LabVIEW calls Matlab, it seems that Matlab is running in the background. In other words, clicking on the Matlab Command Window and typing "whos" or any other command/variable doesn't work.

How to find process chain using background job in sm37

Better is to select the job.
Select (Define) Step (s) or F6.
Select the line and Menu Goto>Variant.
The variant contains the name of the CHAIN and its VARIANT.
Success
We faced an old job and via job monitoring we were informed about a cancelled job every 'interval'.
We noticed that the related chain was deleted but still the job was scheduled each interval again and was cancelled because an event was missing
We could not find the scheduled job via SM37.
Via view V_OP, view over tbtco abd tbtcp, we find the related entry.
We delete these entries via function BP_JOB_DELETE....

1 . I have to remove 'ITEM' tab in the approval process overview screen which is apprearing in Portal. approval process overview screen will be appeared when 'Display / Edit Agents' Button in the Header level of the Shopping cart screen.

I tried this option but this is each user setting , Can we make this centerlized?
or
Go to SE80 Webdynpro and change the visible property.
I know the webdynpro for this tab but to change this visible property do I need have access key( Core modification ) or any other way to do such as enhancement spot?

Hi,
As process chain is to automate the data load step.
For Ex:- If you are loading data from R/3 to DSO CUBE.
Here you require Info package to load till PSA.
DTP to load till DSO
Another DTP to load Cube.
And all other process like psa deletion AND process you can find in RSPC tab.

try this in your ABAP:
    CALL FUNCTION 'BP_EVENT_RAISE'
      EXPORTING
        eventid         = 'Your Event'
        eventparm       = 'START'
        target_instance = ' '
      EXCEPTIONS
        OTHERS          = 01.
and schedule your process chain, waiting for 'Your Event'.

How to determine which processes are using a module?

I want to find out which processes are using a kernel module.
However this info is shown neither with ``lsmod'' nor in
/sys/modules/<mod_name>/.
It's needed to reload certain modules which are acting buggy,
in a bash script. Right now I just keep a list of processes which
use the module and try to kill'em all, not exactly a beautiful
solution.
To work around it I compiled a kernel with
``CONFIG_MODULE_FORCE_UNLOAD=y'', however actually
trying to unload anything with this results in an unstable system.
Suggestions?

After successfully syncing the configuration database I ran the configuration compliance job once more, however with the same (misleading) results. Cross-checking the configuration reveals that none of the devices marked as compliant are actually having the "ip helper-address" configured.
Maybe it is something wrong with the input data I specified for the compliance template (ref step 1-6 in my first post)?
Or maybe the Compliance Jobs arent the best ways to determine whether or not my devices are having the "ip helper-address" configuration defined?
