Process SFCs

Hi Expe'rts,
I am new to SAP ME. I am trying to build a demo project in ME. I have followed the instructions as per the ME help and training manual.
configurations done:
I have created master data (material, BOM, routing, work centre, resource) and sent it to ME.
Created production order, sent to ME - POIT
MIGO - GI done ( 261)
received the inventory in ME using inventory ID
released the shop order in shop order release - SFCs generated as per config in next number maintenance.
POD configured - standard POD
Issue that i am facing is
1) when i am processing the SFCs in POD, i see always the SFC status in In Queue though i have selected start and complete button and after entering some assembly data.  Why the SFC status does not change to done or completed and not moving automatically to the next operation as mentioned in routing. Also sometimes, when i select the complete button, i am getting an error message 12001 (VALID_FROM is missing). what is the reason for this error
2) when i am trying to log an NC in a POD, in the NC client page, after i select the ADD button, i get VALID_FROM is missing error.
3) I am not able to see any operation level confirmation and inventory reduction getting updated in ERP though i have done the necessary changes in colloborative directive maintenance in transport parameters. Should we have to mention anything in input parameters thatwe configure in transport parameters url.
4) Also i am trying to set up some data to be collected during assembly and the necessary configs done in data collection maintenance, certification maintenance, user cert assignment and material maintenance. but i am not able to see the datas in POD.
Kindly clarify the above doubts.
Thanks
S.Mahalakshmi

Hello Mahalakshmi,
1) SFCs in the Task List (Start has not been performed) are in status "In Queue" or "New". After Start, the SFCs will appear in the Active Work List and the status will "Active". After Complete, the SFCs change the Status to either "In Queue" at the next operation or to "Done" if the last operation has been completed. There are few more SFC states, but that is the general idea.
2) No idea.
3) If every thing is setup correctly, ME will send the yield confirmation after Complete at the operation (to the corresponding ERP reporting step). ME will report only inventory reduction for GI with movement 311, not for 261.
4) You have to configure Data Type (Maintenance / Product Configuration / Data Type Maintenance) for Category Assembly. Then you have to add the Assembly Data Type either to the BOM component or to the material definition (tab Build / Data to Collect on Assembly).
I hope that helps.
Best Regards,
Miguel

    Hi Randy ,
Ntdll.dll file is a file created by Microsoft that has a description of "NT Layer DLL" and the file contains NT kernel functions.
Considering you have performed a system health scan and there is no problem found .There is still a possibility that the installation of this program has suffered a corruption though there is no error found during installation .
Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall it to have a check ? Please ensure you have got the latest version of this program .
Meanwhile I found a similar symptom and the OP has resolved it ,it may be helpful to you .

  • Printing a label listing all SFC-Nr. of a process lot

    Hi
I would like to print out a document or Label out of SAP ME, listing all SFC of a process lot.
When printing out the label on binding method SFC, there is 1label/SFC created
When printing out the label on binding method PROCESS_LOT, only the first SFC is listed, but not all SFC of the Processlot.
Is the indexing (which is used for example for SFC Data) the right instrument?
    e.g. DATA_BY_PROCESS_LOT.SFC_DATA.SFC_HEADER_DATA.SFC_NUMBER0 (NUMBER0 to NUMBER25)?
    I'm glad for any help.
    BR
    Yvonne

    Hi Stuart
    Thanks for your prompt answer
    We use ME 6.0
And I would Need a list of all 25 SFC-Nr. in the process lot.
but unfortunately, I just receive one SFC-Nr. out of the 25SFC, which are in the ProcessLot.
In the how-to-guide, it is explained, that for SFC-Data, if there are multiple customer data, the SFC_CUSTOM_DATA.ATTRIBUTE Field Needs to be indexed.
What I was wandering, is whether for the listing of all the SFC-Nr., this would be the same indexing, like I wrote in my first question.

  • Booking NC-Codes on single SFC in POD Layout for Process lots

    Hi
We work with MES 6.0 and work with Process Lots with different amount of SFC in one Process Lot.
We would like to work with the POD-Layout showing the Process Lots in work-list.
But on the other side, we need to book NC-Codes on single SFC, but we don't use Standalone-NCcode-Booking.
Now, what we would like to do, is to Change the jop from the actual POD-Layout to an other one, showing SFC instead of PL, to be able to book NC-Codes. I can do this with an activity, but Operation and Resource stay empty on POD.
Is there any possiblity to place placeholder in the Activity-Link "com/sap/me/wpmf/Client/template.jsf?WORKSTATION="BLABLA"&OPERATION=value"
Thanks in advance for an answer
    Kind regards
    Y. Zurbuchen

    Hi Konstantin
Because I have different operations and resources, and therefore, I'd have lots of different activities and different POD's as I link the "subPOD" at the Operation.

    Please help .

You should check Windows update for Service Pack update, if there is any.
Otherwise, try to fix and update windows system filesas follows:
Go to command prompt (START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES right mouse click "command prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator"
    type in
    sfc /scannow
let Windows fix any system files that need to be repaired.
Restart the computer if it did actually repair any files.
    Then do the download again.

  • How to perform Data Collection on single SFC with QTY = 1 with material lot size 1?

    Dear experts,
We are working with SFC qty>1 on a relaxed routing. At a given operation we want to collect the data on single quantity; i.e. SFC qty on that operation, where the collection will happen, will be 1.The corresponding material lot size is for ex 10. The operator must be able to collect data on SFC with qty=1 multiple times until the quantities will be consumed. He must be also able to collect other values on the remaining quantities on the same operation with the same DC group or other DC groups. How many times the data must be collected is dependent on the shop order build quantity. The data may be collected several time but not more than the build qty. In other words some specific data will be collected on a qty of a product while others will be collected against remaining quantity. The data collection must be also done in a serialized manner.
Here's what we have set up so far:
    1) 3 DC groups, each DC group has 3 data fields.
    2) Each data field has the following restrictions:  Required Data Entries = 0 and Optional Data Entries = 1
    3) All DC groups are attached on the same combination of operation\material\routing
    4) we are using relaxed routing
    Process description:
The operator must be able to collect any data field on single product. For that he will enter the operation where the data collect are attached, he will enter the SFC with qty=1 then he will run the data collection after selecting the appropriate DC Group and entering the needed information. The operator will complete the SFC with qty=1.
The operator will pick the next product, select the same SFC and enter qty 1 and collect other value against this product.
    Problem is:
Once the first collection is done on a given SFC with entered qty=1, the system is not allowing the operator to do further collects on the same SFC with qty=1 or any other quantity. He cannot select any DC group from the DC group list. We tried also with the table selection menu on the DC Group list but nothing can be selected.
So we tried to play around with the DC group definitions as follows:
    A) we set Required Data Entries = 0 and Optional Data Entries = 10. Still the operator was not able to select any DC group after collecting data the first time. We tried to reopen the pod and list again. But we get the same blocking behavior.
    B) we set Required Data Entries = 10 and Optional Data Entries = 1. The operator was able to select the DC group after collecting data the first time. BUT operator must enter the data fields 10 times on one SFC quantity, which is not what we want. Besides again he cannot collect other information on remaining quantities on the same operation.
    C) There's an option to serialize the SFC before reaching the operation where the collection is happening, then merging ofter complete. Automation is needed here; hence customization. We are highly avoiding customization now, since we expect the data collect to work well on single quantities even when the main SFC has qty>1
    Questions:
    1) Are we missing any kind of further configuration\setup?
    2) Or the current system design does not allow collecting data on single quantities of an SFC which main quantity is greater than 1?
    3) Looking at this link Approaches to Collection of Data - SAP Manufacturing Execution (SAP ME) - SAP Library, there's nothing mentioned about same SFC number with multiple quantities!!!
We are using SAP ME 15.0.3.0.
Thanks in advance for your help

    Ali
to collect data for the same SFC multiple times, your system rule "Allow Multiple Data Collection" needs to be set to true for the site.

    2013-08-05 11:08:32, Error                 CSI    00000004@2013/8/5:09:08:32.471 (F) base\wcp\componentstore\storelayout.cpp(3617): Error STATUS_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT originated in function ComponentStore::CRawStoreLayout::OpenCanonicalDataKey

Unfortunately, its a small, but unrecreatable subset of data.  If this is missing, servicing is broken on the machine and the system will need to be restored from backup or PBR.
So you will need to try a refresh or a re-install of Windows, unfortunately.
    Hope this helps,

  • H8-1520t: sfc /scannow reported file corruption in Windows 8.1

My computer (h8-1520t) computer had had file corruption error reported by sfc /scannow.
The corruption was rather common corruption as discovered elsewhere on the internet.  The corruption pertained to prncacla.inf and it was repaired only by using DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth.  The corruption occured while the computer was doing automatic maintenance which locked up my system.  After forcing a shutdown and rebooting, I immediately ran sfc /scannow and that's when the corruption was first detected.
Now sfc /scannow finds no corruption and automatic maintence runs to completion.
Since this is a rather common corruption error and there's no explanation as to what causes the problem, should I send my computer, which it's still under warranty, back to HP ---or--- did I corrected the corruption properly ? ? ?
On additional question: What on earth causes that common corruption to occur anyway.
Also: UEFI diagnostics extensively run and the extensive testing revealed no problems with system board, hard drive, memory, processor (i7-3770), graphics card memory (Radeon HD 8570).
If I should be concerned about my computer being a dud and lemon, I'd like to know... Or, did I fix the corruption correctly?
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Mark,
You may want to review this article.
If you are not comfortable with the Windows repair process then you can use the external HP recovery media to reload you PC back to a day one factory fresh condition.  Backup your data before doing so.

  • Vista got corrupt after power failure. sfc reports error and Event log service is unable to start itself.

    Hi,
After a sudden power failure, I guess vista file system is corrupt.   I am able to start vista in normal mode, but it seems there are errors like Event Log service unable to start itself,  when I start IE, it closes automatically ,
Norton antivirus does not start itself.  and so on.
After Bing search, I went to safe mode and executed sfc /scannow and it reported error as below.
"Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them"
Unfortunately I am unable to upload log file, so I am pasting CBS.log content here....   Please advice.
Some parts of logs are removed due to limit of 60000 characters.
    Please advice.

    Hi,
First, I would suggest you using last known good configuration:
    Using Last Known Good Configuration
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/using-last-known-good-configuration#1TC=windows-vista
if this cannot bring your Windows Vista back to good state, I suggest you perform in-place upgrade to fix the corrupted files:

  • Process after restore - do you really need to download years of upgrades or ????

Satellite A205-S5804  Vista SP2 I have read through hundreds of questions but have been unable to find answer. May have missed it. I ran MS add/remove software to remove some HP software. Process aborted & now all my startup programs are gone. Some of my program setups are also gone. Applied the MS process to restore to default & have some programs now. All my application programs are installed but no startup icons for execution. Ran restore to point before removing HP software but it failed "system restore could not be completed". Ran sfc scannow but no help. Ran chkdsk /r but no help. Startup programs still missing. Appears that I will have to use the still shrinkwrapped recovery CDs to restore (backup CDs lost). I have backed up entire system plus copied downloads, documents, all user data, favorites, exported MS MAil messages & contacts, & softwaredistrubition files to external drive. SoftwareDist is where all the updates are stored that have been updated over the last 2+ years.  Question:  Do I have to go through all the Windows updates (download) after the restore or can I just run them from the softwareDistribution folder. I seems like a pity to go thought all the years of upgrades. Will the system do all the updates properly if I  have to use the normal windows process to upgrade after the restore. I have never had to restores since the 80's on original PCs. Just exactly is the process to get back my PC like it was after a restore to factory setup
    Regards,
    Dennis

    Satellite A205-S5804
Do I have to go through all the Windows updates (download) after the restore ..
Dennis, you must install Vista's Service Pack 1 and then Service Pack 2. Most of the updates will be installed by those.
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1)
Information about Service Pack 2 for Windows Vista and for Windows Server 2008
Then use Windows Update to install the newer ones.
    Sorry it's the hard way.

    Hello All
We have a server 2008 R2 HyperV server and during the last few months it started to reboot randomly.
Initially we thought its related to the issue fixed by the following hotfix so we applied it but even with the hotfix it still keeps rebooting.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2732595
Unlike what's mentioned in the hotfix , the faulting module is not "ntdll.dll" but "msvcrt.dll".Also came up with the following indication the reboots could be related to KB2871997 but that update is not installed
    on this system.

    Hi Sir,
    Please try the following items:
    1. if ther is anti-virus installed , please uninstall it temporarily
    2. run  " sfc /scannow "
    3. keep windows up-to-date
    4. if you updated some hardware driver please roll it back
    5. if the issue persists , please use windows installation media to perform inplace-upgrade for the system
Also please refer to reinstall C++ runtime within the similar thread:

  • BDT custom SFCs not shown on screen

We have to set up some custom SFC categories, and I have to create new screens for them so that they are included in claims. According to OSS Note 704333, the following needs to be done (this is copied directly from the note):
Enter a new category in the IMG under Claims Management -> Structuring Business Processes -> Structured Facts Capture -> Enhance Facts Capture Categories. Also refer to the documentation for this IMGnode.
Create a BDT view. You have to enter different subscreens and function modules in the view, depending on whether it is a quick question sequence or standard question sequence (dialog box). As examples, you can use view ICLQ08 for the quick question sequence and ICLQ03 for the standard question sequence.
With the standard question sequence you must also assign field groups 50 and 51 to the view.
For a standard question sequence, use screen 300 in SAPLICL_SFC_BDT, for a quick question sequence, on the other hand, use 112 (depending on the desired size).
For the PBO and PAI modules, you have to enter the function modules mentioned for the above views (depending on the category). The PBC module has to be created specifically for your view; the modules entered with the above views can also serve as a template.
In the PBC you have to fill the following fields of structure ICL_SFC:
    FACTSCAT: Your new SFC category
DSTSUBCLAIM: Subclaim to which the SFC refers
SUBOBJECT: The key by which the object is clearing identified in the claim, e.g. the number of the damaged object
XREADONLY: To be set in the display mode of the claim
You can fill PBTEXT and VIEW using function module ICL_TBSFC004_GET.
You use function module ICL_SFC_ACTINST_SET to set the values in function group ICL_SFC_BDT. Add the newly created BDT view to the provided screen sequence.
Create a question sequence for your SFC category and assign this to the corresponding internal claim type.
I followed the instructions and created new views for the new SFC's (this is so that I could use my own Function modules in the PBC events. This is the only thing I changed - the PAI and PBO both call standard SAP modules, and all the other stuff, i.e. application etc. I left the same as the standard). I assigned the views to sections --> screens etc. The screen where the SFC should appear, is there but it is blank, i.e. it doesn't show any buttons or anything.
I also hard-coded break points into my PBC modules but these never seem to be called either, because the processing never gets there, evidently. So this leads me to believe that I've missed something out in setting up the funtionality. Any ideas? Also, do I need to do anything in the BDT events to populate the new SFC's or does the system do this automatically?
    Thanks for your help.

No I don't think you want ECSFO001 for ISUSDPART either.  I recall implementing that last year to disable the create/change functions in the "Search and Display" component as they bypassed BDT field-group security.
I'm not sure where in CIC you want your custom field to display.  Do you want to show it in the navigation area?
As for search results (ISUFINDER), I seem to recall that it was possible to configure the finder to show additional attributes of the BOR object type, such as ISUPARTNER.  But I might be having myself on there as it's only a vague memory.
As standard, the finder displays columns for the the key and default attribute of the search object, in this case BOR object type ISUPARTNER.  The default attribute in this case is name shorttext (can't recall what the attribute is called right now).  You could implement a sub-type and override the implementation of this default attribute so that you also display an icon of some sort in the name text if your custom field is set.
    Cheers,
    Scott

  • Batch process crashes

Batch process crashes in 32 bit CS5 but works fine in 64 bit.
Deleted preferences file, ran SFC and CHKDSK.  Performed all computer maintenance.
Widows 7 64 bit Quad core Q9300 processor 6 gigs of ram.  Ran MEMTest and reinstalled Photoshop over top of old installation.
Really don't want to start from scratch.
    Please help.
    Rich

Tried setting everything the same.  I put RAM usage at 70% for both versions
but of course the actual amount is different for 32 and 64 bit versions.  No
    luck.
This started at about the same time as the 12.0.4 update.  Read some people
had other types of problems with this update.  I would just use the 64 bit
version but some of my plugins only work with 32 bit version.
    Thanks

  • S540 critical process died

    Hy,
I have upgraded my S540 to Windows 8.1. I installed all drivers and updates and have now sometimes bluescreens with the message "critical process died". I know this is not much information but I have no idea how to examne or solve the problem.
