Process signs like é, ë, á etc. in FDM

Hi All,
My FDM (essbase and HFM 9.3.1 adapters) don't import files that contain é, ë, á, ç and ô.
I now have created a script to convert these signs to regular letters.
But for one application these signs are in the member names so i do need to process them otherwise i cannot load my Essbase cube.
So my source system supports these signs, my target system (essbase) supports these signs, but how can i get FDM to support these kind of signs?

Yes this is one of the main reasons Logic Groups exist in FDM. Check out the admin guide for additional information.

Process Chains - Like to see elements and affected info providers

Hi,
I am wondering if there is any possibility to get an overview of all active process chains with their process elements/steps and the affected objects within these steps/process chains (like infocubes, ODS etc.). In principle it's a process chain detailed view (like in RSPC chart) but not as a chart and not for one PC only but in a list for all PCs. So far I took a look into various tables like RSPCCHAIN (master table for process chains), RSPCVARIANT (attributes for certain process step types of a process chain), and RSPCVARIANTATTR (certain process types) but want to avoid any further effort to combine all these in Excel if there is an easier way to get that information.
Background of my query is that we have a certain set of high-priority process chains and I need to know all involved info providers (Info Cubes, ODS, PSA etc.) to give the Operations guy a heads-up whenever something is not fine with these providers. So having a query where I can input the set of PCs would be great.
Any feedback is highly appreciated.

Anyway, for my described purpose I have designed a query with the QuickViewer (SQVI) joining tables RSPCCHAIN (Process Chains), RSPCCHAINT (PC description), and RSPCVARIANT (attributes for the steps within a PC). When I filter for field RSPCVARIANT-FNAM = "DTA-CUBE" OR "DTA-ODSO" I get all Cubes and ODS for a given process chain (RSPCVARIANT-LOW). Only drawback so far is that I don't get the explosion of meta chains and have to select each of the included chains separately but that's feasible as we don't have many nested chains.

Whenever you load a data(eg full load). you can delete the previous request and you can load the new data. That's a called deleting overlapping request.

I had an issue where I had to wipe my mac as well. What you have to do to format the hard drive and reinstall is this:
Restart the computer while holding down the option key. Choose the recovery disc. Find the main hard disc and hit format. Then you can reinstall Lion via the internet, it takes a while though, my computer took 5 hours or so.
For your first question, if you got the family version of office, I believe you have 3 computers you can authorize it on. If you are not sure, look it up in the apple store.
For the second: Time machine would probably be your best option, but I would reccomend restoring from a backup before you were having problems, and restore that one (put new files you need on another external or a digital-online storeage site such as dropbox.) To restore a backup, restart your computer and hold command+R and select "Restore from Time Machine Backup" (for more information go here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427 )

I have flushed my cache, cookies, history with no benefit! I have also, as I am now, started FF in safe mode band EVEN in SAFE MODE, with EVERYTHING disabled, I still get the bizzare responses and the left tab is still back.

Yes, I am still having problems. I tried to load in the online site for my bank, Navy Federal Credit Union. I got the old "server not found" BS. I did as you suggested and executed a SHIFTED Reload and that worked, at least in the since that I was able to get the opening page.
However, when I went to sign on, the trouble appeared. Similar to the failed logons and recycling sign ons that I had seen on Yahoo and a few other sites, WHEN I logged onto NFCU's page (they have an unusual three part logon), as soon as I sign on I am IMMEDIATELY told I have "timed out" on the session and am kicked off. The problem I have is that you seem to not want to go through the documentation. Most people here will assist when you have problems but they do like to see some effort. If you had read though the JCE tutorial and done a Google search then you would have found out how process the content of a keystore. If at this point you still had a problem then posting the problem code would likely to be profitable but ...

1. What is the Solaris 8 and Solaris 9 environment's boot files ?
2. While Logging into Solaris Operating Environment , which is file is responsible for Login Process ? Through which file/command the username and password is cross checked with /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow ?
3. We all know that /etc/passwd come with -rw-r--r-- permission and /etc/shadow comes with -r--------. I did a chmod and assigned 000 to both the files. But Still I am able to change the password for the normal user. And as a root I am still able to cat the contents of both the files.
Help me understand these concepts.

Sounds like you're very new to Solaris:
1. What is the Solaris 8 and Solaris 9 environment's boot files ?/kernel/genunix is the primary boot file. The directory structure in /kernel is also boot related. /usr/kernel is also boot related.
2. While Logging into Solaris Operating Environment , which is file is responsible for Login Process ? Through which file/command the username and password is cross checked with /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow ?Generally three files are related: /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, and the program /bin/login. Some applications will process /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow on their own and bypass /bin/login - but for you're purposes this is a good general answer.
As a minor example (and if I remember correctly), say someone uses telnet to log into a system. Telnet prompts for the login ID. Once input, it passes forks off /bin/login with the login ID. /bin/login reads the user password information from /etc/shadow and takes the first two bytes from the password field (column 2 using : as field seperator) which is the crypt salt (see crypt man page). /bin/login prompts for the password which the user inputs. /bin/login takes the user input password and the salt value read from /etc/shadow for that user and pushes it through crypt. It then takes the resultant crypt output and compares it against what it read from /etc/shadow - if they matches the user has input the right password. If not, it prompts the user again with a password prompt.
3. We all know that /etc/passwd come with -rw-r--r-- permission and /etc/shadow comes with -r--------. I did a chmod and assigned 000 to both the files. But Still I am able to change the password for the normal user. And as a root I am still able to cat the contents of both the files.To change your password you run the passwd command. That command is SUID root - so for a short period of time you become root within the context of that process. Root is basically god mode and doesn't care about file access priviledges generally. So that fact that /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow have 000 file access permissions doesn't matter - root can still read and write to them.

Help finding examples of simple signal processing - regressions, etc

Hello All,
I was wondering if anyone has any examples of simple signal processing using the NXT (Labview 7.1 student edition with NXT plugin is what we're using).
This would be for example, reading the distance from a wall with the ultrasonic sensor to see what angle your approaching at, so you can steer based on the result.
Another example would be for passing by an object, reading the high/low point in the signal to determine the center (so you can pick it up).
I'm assuming that the only functions you can use with the NXT are the ones in the NXT subdirectory on the functions palette?

If you have WiFi at home, all you have to do is have the iPhone look for networks, find yours listed, and tap to connect. Enter password you setup for wireless connections.
For on the road with no WiFi...Edge speeds are better than dial up (with full strength) but because it has a real browser and pulls full web pages and not mobile reduced ones, you may at times think it is slower than the BlackJack only because it is bringing down more.
As for hotel, if the hotel charges, no you cannot bypass it. When you hop on a WiFi spot that does what you described (brings you to their page no matter what you try) it is because they have it setup to do so, until you accept thier terms of service (and pay if need be) it will just keep sending you to it.
Places like Panera Bread offer free wifi, but the first time you try t browse it will show a Accept screen stating they are not responsible for hacks and what not since you are on an open network. You click the checkbox and hit the button, and then you are off and running free as a bird.
Each place is just unique but all are pretty much setup that way (accept screen first). Some hotels show a accept screen and show a price but most times the price is listed at $0.00 and is only there because they paid a 3rd party provider to setup the network and that is out of the box stuff.

Applets, Policy Files, jar signing, JNI, etc

I need an Applet to be able to connect to sockets and use some JNI. Hence, as far as I can tell, I need to use a Policy File. In a standalone application, I have written my policy file tried it out by switching on the security manager. However I am not sure how I do this with an applet.
I have read many examples of Jar signing, yet every example uses appletviewer and the -J-Djava.security.policy to show the security policy in action.
However I want this to work through a normal browser, so how do I achieve this?
Do I specify a URL to the java.security.file in the embed/object/applet tags in the HTML?
Do I put the policy file in the jar and reference it via the Manifest?
Any ideas much appreciated,

That's what I'm trying to solve, I wish to use the Java Security Policy system to allow my applet access to various resources, such as writing files. Now I've seen that signing an applet will give it full access (in my view, this is rather insecure, but anyway), however following the steps to sign an applet two or three times has still presented me with the same problem. The signing is ignored, and the exception is thrown.
Applet signing aside, I fail to see any documentation stating how the policy file is used by the VM when running on a browser. I assumed it might be an entry in the Jar's manifest file, but again, I can find no documentation.
It's all very annoying, and Sun have done quite a bad job at documenting this. For example, their example talkes about -D-Jjava.security.policy=.... being passed to appletviewer. Who on earth uses appletviewer! If policies only work with that, then they are useless. I want them to work with whatever browser the applet is being run within.
Surely this isn't too much to ask? :)
