Process to restrict an employee to change personal information in ESS

Hi,
As per the requirement, in ESS, Personal information should be in Display mode but here employee can change his personal information like Bank details [IT0009], Family details [IT0022], Address [IT0006] etc.
So please guide to restrict an employee to change personal information in ESS.

Employee Self Service Personal Information - Phone Numbers

Hi,
I am testing out HRSS Employee Self Service. As an employee I navigate to the Personal Information Page, and click Add in the Phone Number region. When I add a phone number, it defaults to the phone type of Home. I have no option to add different phone numbers of different phone types. I checked in the HRMS forms, and phone types are setup, and through the People: Enter and Maintain forms I am able to add multiple phone numbers with different phone types.
Why do I not have the option to add phone numbers of different phone types through the HRSS Employee Self Service Personal Information page?

Change source field in Employee Self Service - Personal Information

Dear Expert,
I want to change source field in ESS - Personal Information. Currently, value of field Full Name in Personal Data - Personal Information is taken from column CNAME in table PA0002. I want to change it so that value for field Full Name is not taken from that column.
Please help if you have any information about how to do this.

HI Febrianti,
To change this you have to change data binding of the field in the webdynpro java application.
MOst of the Fields on screen are mapped to fields in HCMT(R structure) structures in backend.
If new field , with which you want to bind full name is already present in the R-structure then you just have to change the binding else you have to do model changes .
More clarification is needed about your doubt as to using which field you now want to use to read full name.

Changing Personal Information

I cannot find what I am looking for in regards to changing my personal information in my account. The only thing I wanted to do was change my email address, but it REQUIRES that you enter and change your credit card data at the same time. This just isn't right. I rarely ever check the email address I started with as my login and now want it changed, but I don't want to give them any credit card information at this time (I had my card replaced so the current info is incorrect). I'd rather be able to delete the credit card on file, update my information and be done with it. I don't want to be forced into providing them with my credit card information. I don't buy from iTunes, I only use it to organize my existing music collection and sync with my iPod. Will Apple change this? Otherwise their emails are going into nowhere land and I can still use my account.

What happens when you "pretend" to change your credit card data, but enter the same old obsolete number?
Be slow, as the servers are sometimes slow too for these tasks. You might also have to try again later and see what was not working finally works this time.
Something else comes to mind: was there a particular problem with this old card, that could perhaps have put it on a "red list" somehow?
IMO, changing email indeed has nothing to do with credit card numbers...

How to change personal information before enroll developer program

I'm trying to enroll to developer program using my existing Apple ID, personal information on this account are ok (https://appleid.apple.com/)... but a wrong surname appears when I try to logging in memeber center developer program section (https://developer.apple.com/membercenter/), I don't want to apply to developer program using wrong personal information ... what can I do ?

Adobe only sells Acrobat XI. There are two versions of this application: Standard and Pro. I'm not sure if the former has the feature I described, though.
There is also a free 30-days trial of Acrobat Pro you can use, by the way...

Error Regarding Personal Information in ESS

Hello Everybody,
Here I am facing a problem related ESS iviews.We are having ECC6 and we installed ESS. I did all configurations of SLD (Post Installation) and also mantained JCO connections properly.I have done all settings related to HR.
Now all Iviews are working properly except Personal Information's iviews. Here I am getting error in Addresses , Bank Information, Personal Data. Error is :
Failed to process request. Please contact your system administrator.

Hello
In the IMG of the ECC you set up infotypes and subtypes that are to be used in the HR, both in the PA and XSS. Ask your HR consultant to check if the correct subtypes for XSS is configured:
Addresses
Bank Information
Personal Data
There could also be a mismatch of the support package leve. There are some restrictions of which SP level you can use regarding Portal, ECC (EA_HR and SAP_HR) and ESS. I.e the EA_HR and SAP_HR is too low and ESS is too high, some functionality will create errors. But first of all, check the subtypes.

Display error In Personal Information of ESS

Hi all,
When we goto Personal Information of the ESS, and then to Family members/dependents- it displays a screen with details of family members added, if mother details are added , the details of Mother are displayed with the following entries.
First Name - " first name"
Last Name- " empty"
Date of Birth - " last name"
message.BizcardField4 - "date"
So if you observe, the entries are arranged wrongly(misplaced) and a new field is displayed.
How do we rectify this error ?

1. Select Web Dynpro Components. Here select the component
VcPerPersonalFIReview. Here select ReviewView under Views.
2. In the layout of the ReviewView select Name Prefix label.
3. Select the Name prefix Text View which is in the Outline window.
For this text view in the properties of this text view delete
SelectedInfotype.Vorsw from the text field.
4. The same needs to be done for the fields Title and Name Affix.
5. In the layout of the Review View select Title label. Now select the
Other_title text view in the properties of this text view delete
SelectedInfotype.Titel from the text property.
6. For Name Affix field, Select Name Affix in the layout of the
ReviewView. For the Name affix text view in the Outline window delete
SelectedInfotype.Vors2 text property.
7. Save the changes build and deploy the DC

Error in personal information in ESS

Hi all
We have suceessfully configured ESS business package.But when i click on the personal information workset, i am unable to see any details.Instead i am getting the message <b>"There are no services in this area"</b>
Any configurations needed to rectify this error.
Points will be surely awarded for helpful answers.

go through
spro->img->cross-application components->homepage framework->services->Assign Services to Subareas->Assign Services to Subareas (Find Entries)
now find the subarea key EMPLOYEE_PERSINFO_SUBPERSINFO
and look at assign service key short (table key)
u found following mapping (if not create the mapping)

Problem with change bank information on ESS

RPUFACEVIEKN align the field VIEKN to the feature IVWID for the ESS service
RPUFACECPRFN adjust T582G from T582A-CPRFN
If your refer to CCURE PC_UI indicator in T77S0, you should activate it only if you're using concurrent employment
Look for N06_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc ([link|http://help.sap.com/bp_hcmv1600/BBLibrary/Documentation/N06_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc]), and read 2.3.7.5 Removing Inconsistencies in Employee Data for a full explanation about this issue.
Consider this is a common issue, so you'll find more information in older posts in this forum, with a lot of answers from SAP experienced Consultants.

Error message when changing personal data

Whenever a user tries to change personal data in ESS, the system returns an error message "Start date should be after 12.01.2012 or later." (or whatever the current day is...)
I can't find a note or whatsoever to solve it. Is this a known error in ESS?

You have implemented the BADI HRXSS_PER_BEGDA which results in this error
ESS scenario's will allow data creation/modification starting
from a Default Start Date. By default this Default Start Date
is set to Today's date. To further explain, when the Default
Start Date is set to Today's date ESS User can create or
change a data record valid starting from Today's date
or future date.
It is possible to customize this behaviour. Business Add-in
HRXSS_PER_BEGDA is available. Parameters like molga, pernr,
infty, subty and begda can be used in different combinations
for customization. For further informatio, please

Ess personal information workflow

Hi
We have requirement that when ever a employess edits his/her personal informations in ESS, a workflow should route the changed information to a reviewer to approve the changes. Once it is approved, informations should be moved to backend system.
Can someone tell me how to achieve it?

I think you have to identify whether any event is triggered when you are changing the Employee Information.

ESS Personal Information not working

Dear All,
Here we have ECC 6 and EP7 SP10, we have uploaded BP ESS 1.0 SP 7.
For ESS Personal Information workset, iViews for Address, Bank Information, Family Information and Personal Data is showing a page in which it is given steps which are
1     Overview   2 Edit   3 Review and Save   4 Confirmation
Previous Step      Exit
And also in SPRO setting for Personal information under ESS head is missing
Employee Self-Service-->Service-Specific Settings --> Personal Data , there is no personal Data link.
Kindly help me what needs to be done for Displaying iViews of Personal information and getting the link for Personal Data in SPRO under Employee Self Service.

I am able to see Own Data in SPRO.
Issue is that while running Personal Information --> Address iView, the page which is being shown is like this

Overview           Edit         Review and Save      Confirmation
<Previous Step>   <Exit>.
and no data is being Displayed.
The same is the case for other iViews of Personal Information like Bank Details and Family Details.
But for Personal Data iView it is giving this error
"<b>failed to create or init instance of model 'com.sap.xss.hr.per.in.pdata.model.HRXSS_PER_P0002_IN' in scope APPLICATION_SCOPE with instanceId 'null'"</b>.
kindly tell me what needs to be done to resolve this issue.

ESS - Personal Information

Hi All,
In ESS, when an employee sees his personal information from infotype 2 such as Name, DOB, SSN. Is there a way in which some fields can be hidden. for example, we would like SSN not to be displayed whereas other fields, name and DOB -want to be displayed?

Unable to upload photo in Personal Date in ESS EHP6

Hi,
We are in EP 7.3. When we are trying to upload any photo at Employee Self Service > Personal Information > Personal Profile > Personal Data, we are getting below error message.
500 SAP Internal Server Error
ERROR: Invalid parameter SECONDARY_RECORD-PSKEY , value 000000013258 9999123119860101000 (termination: RABAX_STATE)
I have searched in sdn but not found solution for this. Can anyone know how to resolve this.
