How to send E-Mail Notification executing through workflow?

hi All
I want to send E-Mail Notification executing through workflow in MDM Data Manager?
I have tried it, But still i am unable to send E-Mail Notification?
i will explain, how i have tried?
1) I have created the simple workflow with the following components
they are in sequence
start--> process-> notify--->stop
2) owner of the workflow is Admin and launcher of the workflow is Admin and i have given email id to the Default Admin user in the console.
3) i have created another user (i.e. User2) with default roles as like as Admin and i have assigned User2 to the process component in workflow and I have created e-mail address for the User2 in the console.
4) i have created another user(i.e.User1) with default roles as like as Admin. and give e-mail address,under the notify component User1 is selected in To Field.
5) stop component as usual
coming to configuration part about the SMPT server in MDS.ini file
1) in mds.ini file for the MailServer=, I have given SMTP Server name once and restarted the server and executed the workflow, but not worked
2)in mds.ini file for the MailServer=, i have given SMTP Server IP Address and checked the port,and we have configured the host file also and restarted the server and executed the worflow , but not worked
In all the ways i have executed and tried to send E-Mail Notifications through workflow, But I didn't
can any one help where i have went wrong, so i can rectify it
what actually we have to give in mds.ini file? is any other cofiguration required for it?
if any one have any solution for it , can you please explain me in step by step

Hi Bharat,
your steps seems to be correct. Just try to ping your mail server, to verify if your mail server is running up, besides note that mdm go throw port 25 for sending emails, so please check if you are able to send emails using port 25 in your network.

PDF upload through Workflow

case 1:
is there any possibility to upload a pdf to an intranet through workflow?
Case 2:
when we upload a data in the excel or pdf, corresponding table should be get updated through workflow!
pointers to this will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
In a background activity step you do it. And if the path has to be given by the user then identify the path in a background step and
send that to a method where you want to upload.
If you want to go ahead using portal, the link that process through a Webdynpro application and upload it.

IDOC treking through workflow

Hi All,
I am working on a requirement where we need to trek IDOCs through workflow. I have got a standard task(TS30000206) which does error handling for outbound IDOC. If i send 10 outbound IDOC and 9 are processed successfully they should be changed with the success status. But the 1 which could not get the response/acknowledgment back in 24 hours should be marked as failed??
My question is How can i setup a workflow to error out the IDOCs which are unable to make the postback/ackn within 24 hours?

then in WE46 you can assign a workflow task to various errors
in partner profiles (WE20) you can assign post processing agent per partner/message type

I want to call a Web Dynpro ABAP applicaiton through Workflow as UWL work item..
Can anyone please provide me inputs about how can i achieve this?

How will tha Task recognize which Web dynpro applicaiton needs to be processed.
see in the workflow take the task number which you want to do for approval. That task number you register in t-code SWFVISU. so when the workflow trigger the goes to the approver the task is directly linked to the web dynpro screen which you have registered in SWFVISU. So when the task is click the corresponding web dynpro screen tagged to the task will get opened.
I dont no weather task is available or not. It purly depends on the module and the workflow.

Unable to send mails to outlook from sap system through workflow

Hi ,
Iam unable to send mails to outlook from sap system through work flow .Actually we r able to send mails from sap inbox to outlook successfully.But when trying with workflow we r not able to send.Please guide me that is there any configurations required from BASIS side for work flow.Actually we configured everything like default domain .

Hello,
Actually i checked the mail ID for WF-BATCH using su01 .But i didnt find any mail ID for WF-BATCH then i added the email address of the user.Then we tried sending mail it was successfull.
But later i removed the email address what i entered in WF-BATCH user .Even after removing the email address also iam able to send the mails through workflow.
So iam confused whether it needs an mail address or not.But now we are able to send a mail to outlook through work flow but not able to send mails to GMAILor yahoo.For that we need to do any settings.
ABAPer is sending mails through work flow.

ECN/ECO workflow(SWF_RUN611 "Execution interrupted")

Hi gurus,
we are working on ECN/ECO workflow.
Once ECN is created in CC01, our workflow triggers.
we are calling subflow from main WF for enhancing the materials of the Engineering change number(ECN).
Subflow will take the material to different departments for enhancing the views like,
Purchasing views by purchasing dept,
quality views by quality dept,
sales views by sales dept,
etc.
This whole process is working fine with single line items(materials) & also multiple line items.
But, somehow, today it is not returning back to MAIN WF from Subflow.
It is displaying message as,
Message Text:               Execution interrupted.
Exception:                      0
Error Type                      0
Area                               SWF_RUN
Message                        611
Is there any system issue, or some issue with workflow process.
B'cos, it was working properly till yesterday.
Any help will be of gr8 use.

Tried out all below options.
But, still not resolved.
Actually, when i create ECN in CC01 manually & testing, it is working fine & control returning back to MAIN WF.
But, when the data is coming from middleware(Tibco), it is not working.
& strange thing is, it has worked earlier with the same setup/config.

I've a requirement where the Sales Order should have a FIVE People Authorisation before Processing to Invoice. If all the People responsible approves only it will goto next step . How can i achieve that through WorkFlow ?

Develop one workflow, with business object BUS2032 & event created. So when ever the sales order is created the workflow will getting triggered.
Then using loop step type you can send a work items to five approves. Finally you can release the sales order using the method of bus2032.

Which Process triggered a workflow

Hi,
New to WF so any help would be appreciated.
I have a standard Oracle workflow which I need to adapt, the main logic will be to create a split decision based on which process actually called the Workflow.
How do I know which process called the workflow?

Please ignore the above as the problem is not actually what I originally thought was happening. It turns out that any file which is updated through Oracle Drive does not trigger the BPEL workflow for the Upload Document workflow operation. The workflow that was being triggered for which I could not get details for was a temp file that was being created when browsing Oracle Drive before overwriting a file, the workflow could not get the temp files document details as the file was deleted before it could do so. Does anyone know a way of getting the workflow to be triggered upon the update of a file in Oracle Drive?

There r 2 path A and B
and notifications are A1 A2 A3 And B1
A A1 A2 A3
B B1 this is stop case
Notification A1to A3 are respond type and all the three performer can respond or reject.
at the same time i've to send B1 notification to that performer which has not responded imeadtly after preavious responder which has responded.
How can i trace that from tables

Hi,
An option would be use Oracle Alert. Create an event based alert on the table where you have order approvals or rejections. This alert will be raised after inserting or updating this table. Create an action linked to this alert, and choose message as action type.
This setup can be done under Alert Manager Responsibility.

Error while processing payment through F110

I am getting the following error while processing payment through F110

> Payment method "Q" is being checked
> Bank details are being checked
>     Customer/vendor bank details are being checked
>   System reads house banks and checks if they are allowed
> Our bank BBVA is being checked
> Bank different from the specified bank CAIXA in master record or items
>   House bank is selected ...
> No permitted payment method exists
Information re. customer 220912 / paying company code ES4 ...
... payment not possible because of reported error
I have created one payment method "Q" & in ranking order only House bank given as BBVA. I m not able to under stand where to make correction to make this resolved

Check if different House bank is assigned in Customer Master record - Co code - Payment transactions.

How does the senior person approve? using workflow or using transaction ME54N?
if it's the standrad transaction then again, use a user exit or the released event.
even if the approval is done in the workflow I would not recomend using creating the purchase order as part of the workflow since this is not a workflow issue, but if there is no other option create a new method in BUS2105 (use delegation) and call the BAPI in it.
