What is the significance of the processing indicator in the MRP list. When we clicked that we get a flag that material on that line processed on specific date.

Transit Time determination based on special process indicator - Shipment Process

I want to add 5 days more to transit time (which is getting picked from route) when I use special process indicator as PTL (Partial Truck Load) while doing shipment. Is this possible ?

Hi,
Both planning (MRP) and ATP is carried out at plant level in ECC6.0 (standard system). If you want to optimize your process above plant level you should use SAP APO (in my opinion).

Process indicator and scrolling up

Hi Everyone,
Question 1. In my webdynpro application I have detailed navigation link once I clicked that corresponding iview should load in content area but its taking time for loading. How can I implement loading in process indicator sign till the iview loads?.
Question 2. I have added webdynpro views into the tabstrip viewset. My views has save button in the bottom once I clicked save button I want to scroll up to top of the view. How can I achieve this?.

For the second question set the focus to the corresponding item,
Ex:
IWDTextEdit textBox = // your text box;
       textBox.requestFocus();
   Requests to change the keyboard input focus to this view element.
It is undefined which focus request wins if there are several ones.
   The request may silently fail, but is guaranteed not to throw an exception.
    If this view element is a table cell editor, its occurence in the current
    row (according to the context's lead selection) will receive focus. Similar
    things will happen inside other containers that display multiple occurences
    of the same view element.

TR marked with processed indicator by system automatically

Hi,
I have an issue where in the system marks a TR with the processed indicator when in reality only TO is created with partial quantity. So now when we try to create TO for the balance quantity, it will not allow. So we have to manually take the TR in change mode and uncheck the processed indicator in the TR.
From what i understand the system sets this indicator automatically only when the TO quantity is the same as the TR quantity, or we have to change it manually. But in our case neither of the above situation is there. Still the TR is marked as fully processed.
This is not a very common problem. It shows up sometimes. Has anyone faced this issue earlier?

PDT - Portable data terminal or a handheld RF scanner.
Yes it is a putaway process. The materials are scanned and when the pre-determined pallet quantity is reached the material document is posted. Now the warehouse person selects an option in his handheld device to transfer the physical location of the material from the production floor to the warehouse bin . The only option the user has is to input the bin location number. So he enters the bin location number and the TO is created in the background. This is the normal process. In some cases we only post half the quantity to the bin location, and the other half is remaining in the GR area. Now when we try to transfer the location of the balance quantity it throws an error. On checking we came to understand that the TR is marked as fully processed. So we have to manually change the indicator to transfer the balance material to the respective bin locations.

Spinning process indicator never stops

So, I just purchased an iPhone 5C on a Verizon plan. All seems to be set up and working, but I notice that whenever I turn wake the phone, on the main screen beside the WiFi indicator there's what I assume is a spinning process indicator that never stops no matter how long the phone's on. If I return to the main screen from doing anything else, that processor (much like the WiFi "Looking for Networks" process on a Mac) continues to run. Is there a way to keep WiFi but shut this process off?

It sounds like your Wi-Fi indicator is constantly spinning as long as the phone is on. I would use the following troubleshooting from this article to help troubleshoot the Wi-Fi connetion on the phone:

Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.

Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:

Regarding Key Peerformance indicator all experts have already explain well...
I would like to focus on Key Process Indicator: It is always process specific. The main KPI (Key performance indicator is breaked into smaller componenets based on Time, Material used, Manpower used etc)
So for key process indicators we can have reports like Process yield by operation, Process yield by manpower spend etc..
Also the cost of non confirmance is calculated based on the Key Process indicator as it comes from small small reports and finally come up as a Big cost for Non confirmance.
During the process audit the major focus is always on key processes. Using leam manufacturing functions these process are audited and are subjected to change if the indicators are on lower side..
Key Performance Indicators give us a broder view on buisness and mainly useful for knowing in which direction the bussiness is going...

Stuck processes indicating hard disk problems?

I have had trouble with "stuck processes" on my mini 10.5.3 server since it crashed after a Retrospect back up a month ago and found an interesting piece of data this am:
Using a recycled usb connected hard drive connected to the mini server, Retrospect running on the mini was able to back up its own hard drive at only 18 mb/min while it was able to back-up a remote wired ethernet connected intel iMac hard drive with 160GB at 350mb/min to the same usb device on the mini. Odd!
The disk on the mini passed all the tests I was able to run on it with DIsk Utility.
The unix command "top" shows stuck processes sometimes climbing to 30 or more before dropping back down again. When the # of stuck processes climbed, the back-up of the mini's own hard drive would freeze, but it had no effect on the backup of the ethernet connected device.
Seems to suggest that there is a problem with the mini's internal hard drive. It is less than a year old so it is still under warranty. I am not eager to take the server down unless I have to. Log files have not been helpful. No unusual data has been written to the files during freezes. Is there a piece of software out there that will allow me to do a more thorough test of the drive? I am not sure how to proceed. Any help would be welcome.

Popup window processing indicator?

I am using a javascript:popUp2(url. xsize,ysize) redirectl to another Apex Application.
When I process a query in that popup it takes about 30 seconds to produce results but since the popup window has no "Microsoft Flag" waving or other indication that the query is processing the user has no way of knowing it is actually doing anything.
Is there a way I can put some sort of "processing" indication in that popup or other App?
An hourglass cursor or a processing message ticker would be good.
Any suggestions?

Copy, count files, test path, process indicator and System.IO.FileInfo

I found this, sctipt, that I try to re-write.
As it is, it creates sub folders in the targetfolder, which I found out how to stop it from, by deleting the "\" backslash sign in line 9.
But what I also want is that subfolders if such should exist, also gets copied from $source to $target folder, as of now this doesn't happen. Reason why I chose to try to re-write the script is basically, I can read what it does and I like all the flashy
Things like counting and that it shows the percentage of the processbar AND the processbar :).
I just don't now how to re-write it proberly. By the way nothing should be re-named in the targetfolder every thing from sourcefolder should be "as is" in the sourcefolder.

ADF Faces - Using ProgressIndicator Component as a Process Indicator

Hi, I'm working on JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.0 and I'd like to know if there is an example anywhere for the next case:
I have 2 jspx pages: one is a form with search fields. The other one is a table with the results of the search.
I made some tests with both Poll and ProgressIndicator so that, when the user clicks the "Search Button", the clock of the ProgressIndicator component appears (just the clock) and, when the search is over, the application redirects you to the results page.
I had to use javascript and I almost got it, but there's a problem. Once you're in the results page, if you click the "Back" button of the browser, the clock appears as if you're requesting the search again (but you're not, of course)
Do you know if there is a simpler way to achieve this solving this last problem and without javascript code?

you can use the JavaScript on the target page in an onLoad statement to delete the browser history. This way the back button doesn't work at all. I received a mail from another customer who did it that way

Standard costing in Process order for external operation

Hi SAP - PP gurus,
Need your expert suggestion on the current scenario. We are having a sequence of operations in a process order. One specific operation is used to trigger subcontracting activity for completion of some services.
while calculating the total planned & actual costs & variance costs for the process order as a whole , we are not getting the desired results.
The planned cost is not getting calculated or variance is not populated correctly. what might be the problem or is there any alternate solution to approaching this scenario.

I do not have an 'expert' response for you - but I can share my experience and maybe both of us will learn the 'truth' before too long.
In the external processing - indicator in the control key for a phase/operation in a recipe - when it is set, the system requires that either a Purchasing Information Record or an Outline Agreement # and Outline Agreement line item # be entered. If I enter a PIR, the data from the PIR is loaded into the external op fully. This results in a proper cost roll-up and proper processing.
If I use an Outline Agreement + Item # - the system expects me to copy all this detailed information into the remaining General Data fields (that were populated automatically when I used the PIR). I don't have to enter anything except the OA + Item numbers. But if I do not enter a price - then I, like you, get less than acceptable pricing because this operation is NOT priced (I do get a warning - this leads me to believe that SAP will not be populating these fields - the warning is to remind ME to do it --- I want the system to do it since I am specifying the OA + item numbers).
I have searched help and now have posted an OSS note for the answer to this: The PIR does what I want (it has to be created prior to application of course), but because External processing is merely a service and can't be specified by Material # and it only works per Material Group # - then I only have the chance to enter one price per Material Group - and that is insufficient in my situation (I have about 50 materials per each group and each item can have a different price). So I have to use OAs - and not having them able to trigger auto copying into the external op phase - this causes a lot of extra work and risk of data inaccuracy (mis-keying the price, etc.). There does not seem to be a fix - so I think the manual application in the ext op will be your recourse.
Let me know if you have learned more.
