Processing Stuck

Im trying to upload a video to youtube and it was working all good until it just stopped at about 95%. Its been there for about the last hour and wont even move. How can i make this stop? I need the video up in the next couple hours, Thanks!

Try trashing preferences.
The surest way is to export an h.264 file. In MPEG Streamclip or Compressor, adjust the bit rate to YT's guidelines. Then use the YT uploader.
Good luck.

  • Calling BPM Sub Process from another BPM Process - Stuck at Sub Process

    Hi
    JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, BPM 11.1.1.6, WLS 10.3.6
I am trying to Call a BPM Process from another BPM Process. Both the processes are defined in the same BPM Project.
Both the Processes have 'None' Start and End activities.
The 'Parent Process' has a 'Call Activity' which calls the 'Sub Process'.
The Sub process takes a parameter of payload object as input and returns output (also same payload object)
I have passed the payload object from parent to sub process in the 'Data Associations'.
The Start and End activities in the sub process also have the data associations set where I am passing the payload object from parent process to child process.
When I run the process and see the Enterprise Manager console - Audit Trail / Flow tabs,
Flow Tab - The progress of the process is showing only till the Calling of the sub process in the Parent Process. It does not show the Sub Process.
Audit Trail Tab - Shows that the Sub Process is called but has not reached to the End of the Sub process.
The audit trail does not have links to the sub process activities.
I cannot see any exceptions as well in the audit trail.
How can I find out why the process is stuck? Or what is going on in the process?
Please let me know if my explanation is not clear?
    Thanks for any help
    Regards
    Sameer

    Thanks for replying.
I have another Sub Process with Start and End events as Message Events and used Send Task and Receive Task (Implementation : Process Call) in the Main process to invoke the sub process asynchronously.
Then, the Sub Process is shown in the 'Flow Trace' as child of the main process.
In this particular one, I used 'Call Activity' to call the sub process.
So the Audit trail is showing the sub process as a child.
But what I was trying to say is that the audit trail did not have links to the entries in the 'Event' column (in Enterprice manager - instance window). (like Instance entered activity, Instance left activity etc).
I was intending to use these links to see the payload information and try to debug if there is any problem with the code.
The actual problem I was trying to say in the post is that, even after the user responds to the activity (User Task - Approval) in the Sub process,
the audit trail is not proceeding further.
In the Sub process definition, after the user task, there is End with none implementation.
    Hope it is clear now.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Workflow Process stuck in Active status

    Hi,
My workflow stuck in Active status and user is not able to proceed further. But it is not happening every time. Sometimes the process activty gets stuck. Could anyone please let me know the reason for this behaviour and how to fix this issue?
    Thanks

You need to get more information as to what is going on, identify more facts around the issue:
    1. First off, run wfstat.sql to get a history of the activities of the process as well as its attribute values.
    2. Once the workflow gets 'stuck' what makes it progress? For instance, does running the background engine with parameter Stuck processes=Yes fix the problem?
    3. Are there activities deferred that do not get process by the background engine?
    4. Does the process get stuck after a notification is responded to but 'nothing' happens?
It would also be useful to have the complete DB version.
    Regards,
    Alejandro

  • Process Stuck at Start Activity

I have a BPM process (11g) that is being called by another application as a service. Whenever my process is invoked, it just gets stuck at the Start activity. The invoking application is passing some parameters to the process. Has anyone run into this problem before where the process is stuck at the Start activity? If so, what kind of things should I look at to debug this issue?
    Thanks.
    -muktech

So can you see the instance of the process created in Enterprise Manager? If so, does it get stuck in Running mode or does it resolve to Completed or Faulted ever?
If it completes, you should be able to see the data and look at your BPM flow with the path the instance took highlighted. If it faults, then you will most likely not be able to see any of this data because you won't be able to open the instance.
Make sure that Enterprise Manager is configured in Developer mode, not Production. This way it will save the XML data at every stage of the process.

  • OIM Attestation Process Stuck in 'Pending' State

I have created an User Entitlement Attestation process that resulted in zero total records. I think that this was because I did not have any resources marked as 'financially significant'. Nevertheless, it seems that the process should have auto completed since there were no records found, but instead it is stuck in 'pending' with no tasks for anyone to perform.
Anyone know what I should do to get the process to complete?

    Hi
I also facing the same issues as you, User Entitlement Attestation process don't work.
Did you able to fix it now ?
    Thanks in advanced

  • Recovery process stuck (the disks not complete), what shall I do?

I have a Lenovo T60 2613. Now I am ready to sell it, and found three recovery disks made by my husband. However, it turned out that disks are not complete. The system asks me to put one more disk in to complete the process, but I couldn't find the disk.
Now my computer is stuck. Every time I turned it on, it will go to the recovery page. And I have to put the power button to shut it down.
I wonder what I should do in this case. Any advice? If I buy a complete set of recovery disks, would that work? Thank you.

Hi there ,  Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome! This is a great site to get answers and ask questions. I read that you had received an error message saying that the recovery did not complete after it had created approximately 90% of the recovery file.  As per Microsoft only one recovery file can be created. Here is a document for you called Creating a Recovery Image on Discs or Saving a Recovery Image to a USB Flash Drive (Windows 8). It will give you the best information about Recovery, Options available, Error's etc.  Here is another document for you called Obtaining HP Recovery Discs or an HP USB Recovery Drive just in case you need it.  Best of luck!  Have a great day!

  • Updated to Server 3.0.2 - Updating process stuck

I'm updating from Server 3.0.1 to Server 3.0.2 and the process seems to be stuck. It's been sitting for about an hour.
I can bring up individual services using the serveradmin command line tool (and I've got the Wiki and Xcode services running) but the Server.app tool won't ever launch, it just keeps getting stuck again. If I try Server.app on a different machine to connect remotely, it cannot see the server.
Any ideas? It seems to be a failure in the administration services if I can get collaboration/wiki/Xcode up, but I'm not sure how to debug that.

    Hi Colin,
I had the same issue with the 3.0.2 update. I found a solution for my system and maybe this will work for you too. Most server settings were retained, read this entire post before you proceed.
Make sure you have a good backup before you start. Use Carbon Copy Cloner or somethingn similar to have a duplicate that you can boot from if this messes things up.
In Finder, move the Server.app from /Applications to the Trash. This will prompt the system to say that moving the Server.app to the trash will terminate all server services. The move will require an admin password verification.
In Finder, navigate to the /Library directory and locate the Server folder.  Rename the Server folder, I named mine "Server_Old".
Restart the Mac for good measure.
After you log back in, drag the Server.app from the Trash back to the Applications folder and launch the Server.app. It will run through the update to v3.0.2 again, but shouldn't hang up this time.
This was the fix for my system, running better now than when I upgraded to Mavericks. After the Mavericks update, I couldn't run Device Management, Profile Management, Wiki or anything needing psql. This fixed it all.
    THINGS TO BE AWARE OF...
Open Directory and Profile Manager all retained their users and settings.
I wasn't running DHCP on this server, but DNS server configuration was completely gone. Had to redo all DNS entries, if there are a lot of DNS entries in your server you may want to try to recover them from the /Library/Server_Old folder and move the DNS files back into the new /Library/Server folder. I feel like DHCP would also be blank.
Caching server had to be turned on, settings had to be redone. Lucky there aren't many options to consider here.
Software Update server had to be turned on, settings had to be redone. Not many options to consider, so no big deal.
File Sharing had to be turned on, but all previous shares were still setup.
Netinstall had to be turned on, but all previous settings were retained.
Time Machine had to be turned on, but all previous settings were retained.
These are the only services I run, so you may have other things to consider. Good luck.

  • Received Platform error, process stuck in Trace?

On Friday, one of my linux 2.6.11 systems running JRockit triggered a "platform error." After receiving the error, one of the processes is stuck in Trace mode (as reflected by top, ps, etc), which means none of the processes will die using "kill" either (which means the system won't cleanly reboot).
    The error was:

If I see this again, what's the best way to remedy it?

When a process dies its parent gets a notification. However, the parent
must explicitly poll for this notification using wait().
If a process (JRockit) dies and its parent (whatever) doesn't do wait(),
the JRockit process will become "zombie". This means that the process
won't ever do anything else, but it doesn't go away either. It won't go
away until the parent wait()s for it or the parent dies.
If by "traced" you mean that JRockit's process state is "T", it means
somebody (most probably gdb or strace) has called ptrace() on JRockit.
That turns the ptrace() caller into JRockit's parent. And JRockit won't
go away until the parent either dies or calls wait().
So next time (if there is one), try killing JRockit's parent process.
That said, I have seen cases where zombie processes have init (the first
process) for parent, and I don't have any explanation for that.
Also, if JRockit turns the whole system to mush, that's (at least) the
kernel's fault. The kernel shouldn't let that happen under any
circumstances, regardless of what JRockit does (either by design or by
    being broken).

The "not responding to -9" was definitely weird. I would expect the system to not respond to signals very quickly in a high load situation, but it's strange that after I passed many signals of differing value (ending with 23) that it suddenly died. It had sat for about 12 hours after severla -9s before I got around to passing the sequential signals to it.
I have seen OutOfMemoryErrors and other inside-the-JVM problems and been able to send -9 signals, so it was definitely related to the state the "Platform Error" put the system in.
Thanks for your thoughts -- I've asked a few other linux people out there for theirs as well and so far come up with nothing other than "must have been coincidence that it responded to -9 at the same time I was passing other signals" :)
Also, I am testing and then planning on migrating to 1.5.0_02, but since this is the first time I've seen the issue, I don't expect to see it again. If the system does reproduce the issue in a timely fashion, I'll update the JVM and see if that resolves the strangeness.

  • Processes 'stuck' after problems with database connection

First in the production environment, during database failover (MSSQL Server cluster), and later in testing, we encountered processes that are 'stuck' on some random operation. Admin console doesn't show stalled operation or branches, process is running, all operations are completed except last which was in several cases still in status Running, and in one case it was Completed but next operation was not started.
When operation is still running one would expect to select it and click 'Retry' in hope that process will continue but it seems there exist a bug in "Process Instance Detail" part of the admin console - it gives an error: "This operation cannot be completed without the selection of one or more operations from the list below!"
We can try using 'Terminate' for this operation and probably several that follow (because they would probably stall without data from first terminated operation) in hope that process which runs in big user loop can arrive at a step where it can recover from all this using existing data but it's messy and doesn't always work.
When the operation is in status Completed admin cannot do anything at all. This completed operation cannot be retried or terminated because selection box is grayed out. Process and data in it is irrecoverably lost and must be initiated from start.
I must say we had large problems before if database connection is lost even for few seconds (intentional fail over from one db node to another) - but now, when we filled check-connection-sql in datasource configuration Livecycle is behaving a lot better but still with above problems.
How can it happen that LC stops executing process workflow and stops on some operation just because it wasn't able to get valid db connection for several seconds? Is it some problem with transactions or what? What can I do? Where to look?
We are still on LC ES2 SP3. JBoss on Windows Server 2003 and MSSQL 2005.
    Any help is appreciated.

I would suggest you to contact the Adobe support so they can look further in system as well as LC database.

  • Java process stuck problem

In our customer site, we have faced the critical issue.
Suddenly, the server process(java) was stopped (we called this status as stuck status)
so that the command from clients program did not send to server and message did not received from server.
In this status, we have found the peculiar status in server as follows.
    1. The log files of server did not be written no more.
Of course, java process is alive.
When this stuck status is occurred, then all log writing operations are stopped.
    2. Although we commanded "kill -3 processID" to get the stack trace of java,
but there is no print-out of stack trace.
Of course, the result of stack trace was displayed with kill -3 command in ordinary status.
    3. Although java process(server process) is alive by checking ps -eaf UNIX command,
we could know that the process did not operate because the result of top command in UNIX for java process is
    0 % in CPU usage.
Since our java process always operates with client, DB and nodes,
there is no case which java process has 0% CPU usage.
    4. When the stuck status is occurred, RMI lookup is failed.
    5. This stuck issue was evenly occurred for period with about 2 ~ 3 days.
Sometimes, this issue was used to be occurred at 10 minutes of startup time of server, too.
First time, we have focused that there was no writing of logs.
Thus, we have found that Process.destroy() method has the bug to kill the subprocess in UNIX

And we have concluded that this stuck issue was occurred from this bug.
Hence, we have released with fixed patch in customer site.
However, we have faced the stuck issue with release patch again.
We are falling in confusion right now.
And our customer is pushing the solution to us because service is running.
We eagerly want to get the reason why this stuck issue is occurred from you.

We want to get the following consulting opinion.

  • WindowServer process stuck in uniterruptible wait

    This is a continuation of
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10330558
This continues to happen on a fairly regular basis. I can't make it happen at will, but it seems to happen anywhere from every couple days to every couple weeks. It's happening now:
    $ ps ax|grep WindowServer
    75 ?? Us 38:12.86 /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/CoreGraphic s.framework/Resources/WindowServer -daemon
I am getting that via ssh session as the OSX UI is obviously frozen (The "Us" in the ps output above is the process state. The "U" is saying the process is stuck in uninterruptible wait, meaning its frozen until whatever it's waiting for comes back. I cant kill it even with -9). It would be cool if there were some sort of troubleshooting steps I could take to gather data to try to pinpoint why this is happening. Any suggestions?

Exactly the same thing happens to quite frequently since update to SL (10.6.1), it happend from time to time even on Leopard but much less frequently. I can still login to the machine over ssh, three processes are usually marked as stuck- WinowServer, loginwindow, mds. I can restart the machine more gracefully using sudo -r now instead of holding the on/off button. This is very annoying when my machine freezes at least once every day I use it. I suspect this may be related to HW issues with overheating CPU and GPU after SL upgrade my machine runs significantly hotter than with 10.5.x (5-10 degrees) I red that many other people experienced increased temperatures after upgrade. I'm looking for some help with this issue, it is hard to say if this is HW or SW problem. Unfortunately my mac extended warranty expired couple moths ago so I doubt that "Genius" visit at apple store would do any help. They would probably just advice to make clean install which I wanted to avoid this time. I did little bit of research on Google but I did not found any decent advice how to increase stability of the system on SL. It seems that many people experienced the same issue with various models and OSX versions (different GPUs) before so it looks more like SW drivers issue. Can anyone at Apple address this apparently relatively frequent issue?

It finished downloading the large update file and went through the process of backing up my contents and after that i got an error message "Something went wrong" Next screen it tells me that "Your phone is restarting" (with a couple of warning messages) but i have been on this screen for at least 45mins now without any progress. My phone is still behaving as per norm but i'm not sure about what to do next. It doesn't seem like it had started the process of updating my phone yet but i'm being given instructions not to touch the phone or even disconnect the cable, Help, what do i do? Has anyone else experienced this?

    @j_peso
Comes a point that you will have to disconnect, but depends upon whether you are left with a black screen and device left in "flashing mode" in which case Nokia Care Point would have to recover device fror you.

  • How to process stucked holding messages in the Adapter Engine.

    Hi experts,
This question is may be familier to all...
There are thousands of messages are in holding status in the Adapter engine in RWB.
I tried to found system error in these messages. There is no system error from the last in my investigation. I tried to restart of the communication channels of the combination of these messages. But it is also not use to fix this problem.
Instead of the restart of the Java engine please let me know is there any possibility to fix this issue.
    Regards

    Hello Mahesh
You can try restarting some of the XI services (e.g. com.sap.aii.af.svc) but usually a java restart is required to free up these blocked threads/queues.
Most likely these messages are in Holding status because there is a blockage in one of the Adapter queues. This can be monitored in the RWB

Find out what adapter queues are causing the blockage and increase the number of threads/queues available to it. This will help prevent the issue occuring again.
See note #791655 Documentation of the XI Messaging System Service Properties, for an explaination of the queues.
See these blogs for more details:
