Processing table Dispatcher is not running
Hi All,
I am trying Web Dynpro Flights tutorial.
When I start the J2E sever through SAP Management Console
the status of the J2EE Server and SDM is running but the status of Dispatcher is always Stopped. I also tried restarting the servers by right clicking the Dispatcher and then selecting "Enable process" but still the status becomes Stopped. Hence I am unable to deploy the application and getting error.
Please let me know what could be the problem and how
to start the Dispatcher?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Abhijit
Hi Abhijit,
Within the file there is an error
"Wed Aug 04 15:48:42 2004
ERROR => JStartupFixMemSize: Bad memory size unit in 64 (neither K, M, of G - assuming M [jstartxx.c 1822]"
It seems that there is a parameter wrong...
So the easiest way would be to uninstall and install again. BTW - You can order the DVD via SAP Shop (http://www.sap.com/company/shop/) using the following material number 50067985.
Hope that helps.
Best regards,
Karin

FAIL: process hdbdaemon HDB Daemon not running - HANA
Hello guys,
I'm not being able to start a SAP HANA instance. Here's the output of the HDB start command:
I've already check the free space on the files systems as you can see here:
I can't figure out what is happening. Any suggestions?
Regards. The startup error is somewhat misleading as Serge commented above:-
> FAIL: process hdbdaemon HDB Daemon not running
In a recent HEC HANA DB startup error scenario, the clue was this message in the startup.log file in the trace directory:-
> Unable to change to Directory /usr/sap/<SID>/HDB<nn>/vh<cid><sid>db01/trace
It turned out that the profile was edited with the incorrect instance number <nn>. After correcting this error, HANA DB started up successfully. -

Process with an ID not running
Hi,
I browse lot of websites and could not find any solution for this problem.
I did add CSRUN_AROUND_WORKABOUTS to environmental settings.
Rename IISEXPRESS folder
Change application config settings but nothing worked.
I need help to sort it out.

Process hdbdaemon HDB Daemon not running
Hi.
I was working on Hana Studio, i wanted to do a recovery, so Hana Studio stopped the instance, so i click on cancel the recovery and when i went to start again the instance it showed me this Error:
So i went to Linux Server (hanab1) to start manually HDB, and again showed me the same error:
So what can i do to fix this without doing a reinstallation of HANA???...I hope you can help so i can continue working on my client schemas.Hi Miller,
See if the below note is usefull.
A procedure is implemented in the SAP HANA database that, after a failed recovery, prevents the database that is inconsistent as a result from starting. During this, the system writes the state transitions to the topology tree of a name server during a recovery, and deletes these if the recovery is successful. If the recovery is not completed successfully, relevant entries remain in the topology tree as a result. This causes the database start to terminate.
However, due to an error in the implementation of revision 23, entries of this type were permanently written to the topology tree for failed database backups. Therefore, these entries also prevent a subsequent restart or upgrade of the SAP HANA database.

Edited by: Souren on Jun 15, 2009 10:04 AMThe directory 'work' is not hidden or compressed. Same problem persists with this folder.
But now the system is up but dispatcher is yellow and following msg is showing.
"Running but dialog Queue Info Unavailable: j2ee all processes running"
The only thing that I did is I have re-initialise the auth to all SAP & Administrative users from OS level.
Please suggest
01) How to get access of the Work folder.
02) How to make the dispatcher green from yellow?

Mapping is not run after adding to existing Process Flow
I am about to scream.
I have a process flow that has been running fine.
I added a mapping to the existing process flow, deployed the process flow, and now when I run the process flow it will not run the new added mapping.
What gives? I am going to recreate the process flow, but I will not recreate a new process flow everytime I add a mapping to it.
What am I doing wrong.
thanks for any help.
greGOleg,
Thanks so much for all the help. I read the other posts and checked my mapping but nothing helped.
I had to put a transition line directly from the fork to my new process and it worked.
I think it was kind of a logic error on my part.
I forgot had all my maps that were called from the Fork just going straight to either Error Warning or Success endpoints.
I tried to add another process after one of the mappings.
I forgot that to do that I would have to "OR" up all the transitions coming from the forked maps.
Then proceed from there. -

Hi All,
We are upgrading from 4.7 to ECC6.0. The PREPARE went fine but during the upgrade, we are getting an error. The SAPup is not able to connect to the shadow system for running some jobs. When we checked the MMC, we found that the dispatcher is not running for our SHADOW system. We are on Windows/Oracle 10g.

My Firefox version is 13.0.1, I use Windows Seven 64-bit, when I click on Firefox, but the program does not run! But Firefox is seen in the list of Windows processes, while Firefox does not run.
I manually deleted Firefox from the list once I have Windows processing.
And when I clicked on Firefox, Firefox will open quickly and easily.
Firefox process in Windows Processes names list called "firefox.exe * 32" is.
Please try to solve my problem, my problem is how to solve?Hi, are you saying that you start Firefox and it stalls -- you can see it in the Task Manager but it never displays -- but if you kill that process and start Firefox again it starts up properly that second time?
If you look at the statistics available in the Task Manager's processes tab such as bytes read or other bytes, can you see whether Firefox is doing anything at all? ''Note: You might need to add columns if your Processes tab isn't set up to display statistics. You can do that from the View menu.''
You might already have seen these troubleshooting articles. If not, does anything here help:

VivekHi Vivek,
FYI :
JStartupICheckFrameworkPackage: can't find framework package D:\usr\sap\NW2\JC02\exe\jvmx.jar
The above message can be ignored. You will see that message often in perfectly up/running systems as well.
Also, the dev_jcontrol file shows that the server process was terminating !
You need to check std_server0.out file for the errors/exceptions as to why server0 was terminating abruptly. The reason should be apparent from dev_server0 and std_server0 most of the times unless its a startup framework bug where the error messages are not written to the log files.
So, whenever the server process or dispatcher process fails to start, you should check the corresponding dev_server<n> or dev_dispatcher and std_server<n> / std_dispatcher files. Also, usually, there will be some exception (if its application related) in the defaultrace file as well under server<n>\log or dispatcher\log depending on which one is failing to start.
e.g. if server0 is failing to start due to some UME issues, you will see the mention of it in std_server0.out (definitely) and more ellaborate info/exceptions in deafultrace under server0\log as well.
Hope the above helps. -
I'm stumped. I have a really odd situation. Any help is appreciated...I've deleted the page, reloaded the app, deleted all the processes and recreated them...all to no avail.
I have about 20 after submit processes. Everything seems to look OK. However, a couple of the processes don't seem to be executing and others are executing but not listed in the debug on the page.
Example of debug:
0.03: ...Process "Get PK for PHYSICAL_INTERFACE_ID Create/Create Another": PLSQL (AFTER_SUBMIT) declare function get_pk return varchar2 is begin for c1 in (select PHYSICAL_INTERFACE_ID_SEQ.nextval next_val from dual) loop return c1.next_val; end loop; end; begin :P780_PHYSICAL_INTERFACE_I
0.03: ...Session State: Saved Item "P780_PHYSICAL_INTERFACE_ID" New Value="32"
0.04: ...Do not run process "Get PK for PHYSICAL_INTERFACE_ID Create/Done", process point=AFTER_SUBMIT, condition type=, when button pressed=CREATE
0.04: ...Process "Get PK for VIRTUAL_INTERFACE_ID Create/Create Another": PLSQL (AFTER_SUBMIT) declare function get_pk2 return varchar2 is begin for c1 in (select VIRTUAL_INTERFACE_ID_SEQ.nextval next_val from dual) loop return c1.next_val; end loop; end; begin :P780_VIRTUAL_INTERFACE_ID
0.05: ...Session State: Saved Item "P780_PKG_RETURN_VALUE2" New Value="ERROR: Problem Creating Virtual Interface Table"
0.05: ...Do not run process "Call stored procedure - Virtual Interface Create/Done", process point=AFTER_SUBMIT, condition type=, when button pressed=CREATE
After running the process "Get PK for VIRTUAL_INTERFACE_ID Create/Create Another" I would expect to see a session state saved similar to the physical interface at time .03 The saved item "P780_PKG_RETURN_VALUE2" actually occurs in a process at a later sequence (which is actually much later--it seems to have skipped a couple processes).
Has anyone else see this type of problem? The last thing I can do is recreate the whole page (ouch!).
Thanks,
-CarmineGood afternoon. I am running Apex 3.1 and Oracle 10.2.0.4 on RHEL 4.
The stranger part is that I have another box running a slightly older version of the Apex application--and that one works. The differences were not in this area/on these pages. Strange.
I tried remove and rewrite all the processes, deleting the page and copying it from another load of the application, etc. Since it was a development box, I'm reloading everything.
I can try to get something up on apex.oracle.com. But it was so odd as Apex saw the processes. I even opened SQL developer to look at the processes and it looked good. Yet somehow it seemed to skip a process (not even show that it wasn't to run due to conditions), and the session state from the PK not showing but another process.
I've never seen anything like it. In my investigation, I will note that something went wrong (invalid) with ctxsys.driload. I forgot the exact error. I'm not very familiar with this package.
Thanks,
-Carmine
