IDVD 5.0.1 -spits dvd out at "finished recording" right before burning

howdy:
i am going crazy trying to burn a dvd with old home movies that were transferred from vhs. after i dubbed them onto dvds, i ripped them using dvdxdvpro, which broke each 2-hour dvd into 8-minute increments. i then edited them and put them in the correct order using imovie and thought i was home free. but when i use idvd to burn it, the same thing keeps happening: it goes through all of the correct motions (taking hours to encode) and then spits the dvd out at the finished recording screen, right before it has a chance to burn. because the movie was large (3:59), i used a double layer dvd. a friend thought the movie was too large so i tried making a mini version that is 24 minutes, but the exact same thing happened.
also, it seems like my movies are really big: 78.21 gb for the large one and 6.43 for the small one. is there any way to make them smaller?

Size in Gbs of no interest to iDVD only time. This includes times for menu !
To be able to work iDVD needs a minimum of 25Gb free space on internal boot hard disk
This can't be altered to other hard disk. Space has to be there.
This is for 4x3 standard TV-video. For HD most probably about 4 times more is needed.

*Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows:*
• Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk if it is less than 10Gb should rather have 25Gb
• Hard disk is untidy: Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disk (Apple Disc Util tool)
• Delete iDVD pref file - *or rather start a new user/account* - log into this and re-try
iDVD pref file resides: Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences and is named:
com.apple.iDVD.plist
While iDVD is NOT RUNNING - move this file out to desk-top.
Now restart iDVD.
• Program miss-match: iDVD 5.0.2, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.5.5 - is OK - DON’T work under Leopard
• Program miss-match: iDVD 6.0.4, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.5.5 - is OK (might work under Leopard)

Five days ago I received an anonymous email with the subject:
Your Apple ID was just used to buy full album Elton John £12.99.Your receipt No.37930343160405752
The content started: Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 From:(my email address) followed by a very,very,very long stream of gobbledygook. There is no record of it in my i-tunes purchases or my credit card statement but that might only be because I have not updated my credit card details. Should I be worried that my account has been compromised? Does anyone know how I can get through to the right section of Apple to deal with this - all the emails I get say no-reply so I don't have an email address to contact them on.
I would be most grateful if anyone could help me with this.

When loading from Flat file I am getting the following error in the developement.
Message no. RSAR198
Diagnosis
The value 'L001' from field /BIC/NTrtc cannot be converted into the DDIC data type QUAN of the InfoObject in data record 1. The field content could not be transferred into the communication structure format.
System response
The data to be loaded has a data error or field /BIC/NTrtc of the transfer structure is mapped to an unsuitable InfoObject.
The conversion of the transfer structure into the communication structure was cancelled. The processing of data records with errors was continued with respect to the settings in the error handling of the InfoPackage (Tab Page: Update Parameters).
Please suggest some the resolution.

From what all I've found, the statement below would work if I were using MySQL:

     (81203, 17, 35, .222, 0, 0, 'C' ),

     (81203, 28, 135, .22, 1, 0, 'C' )
The amount of records varies into the multiple-dozens. My aim is to utilize the power of Oracle while avoiding the i/o of dozens of single-record inserts.

You could look at the INSERT ALL statement found in the documentation here:

My personal opinion is that you probably won't see any benefit because under the hood I think Oracle will still be doing single row inserts. I could be wrong though.
The only way to confirm was if you did a test of multiple inserts vs an INSERT ALL, that is if the INSERT ALL met your requirements.

Record in DSO Active Table different from result of Update Rule Simulation

Hi,
I have a problem with the update of a particular Data Field for certain records via an Update Routine in 3.x Update Rules, from a Source DSO to one Target DSO.
The DSO Key is the same in the Source DSO and the Target DSO. The Update Routine for the particular (target) Key Figure performs a calculation based on a number of COMM_STRUCTURE Data Fields and gives the Result. For this specific record, the Result being written to the target DSO is 0.00 (It is an 'Amount' Key Figure).
Based on the Update Routine (which I have run through functionally), this is the incorrect result.
However, I have run Simulation for this record and the correct result is simulated into the Data Target. I have also run the simulation with Debugging on the Update Rules. Each component/step of the Update Routine is processed correctly, eventually giving the correct result.
I have tried to re-perform the load and I continually get the same result. This is occurring for a number of records being updated, but not all. Some records where the result of this Data Field is being calculated correctly are 'identical' in all important areas to the problem records.
The problem records all appear to be in the same Data Package, however that Data Package also contains records being processed correctly.
Based on the Simulation/Debugging it appears that the Update Routine is correct, however if anyone is willing to have a stab at this I am happy to send you the code.
Also, a short time ago, we took a copy back from our Production system to our QA system. As a result, this record exists in the QA system as well. I have performed the load there and the record is processed correctly. The Production and QA systems are in line.

Thanks for posting a response. This is an Update Routine rather than a Start Routine.
Also, in answer to the Sudhi's reply/post, Yes, the Update Type has been set to Overwrite.
The problem is actually only present in Production. Changes was made through our landscape some time ago (this is not my development).
These changes have been tested through QA and were working. It is only when a reload has taken place in production that this issue has been occurred. A reload has then taken place in QA and has worked successfully.

when i add R3TR TABU T100... and hit enter... i get the error message at the bottom of the screen...

When i double click the error message, i get a pop up, detailing the "KINDS" of tables which cannot be
transported. (like in my case is t100)...
The only help which i get at the bottom of the popup is...
"Direct transport of these table entries is only allowed for special tools, such as the client copy program."
Any other way of doin it...

It's a dean markley acoustic pick up with a mono 1/4" jack. It's plugged into a focusrite interface. GarageBand only records it in stereo and only plays it back in mono.

Changing From Field deletes email content - 2010

Our users usually send emails from a different email address
[email protected] rather than their normal email address.
In Outlook 2010 they have the From field showing and usually change this prior to composing their email. However if they forget to do this and they compose their email, then chane the From field the content (but no their default signature) disappears.
Any ideas? I'm a bit stumpted

A little late to the party, but I encountered this issue in Outlook 2010 recently and could not find a solution documented anywhere online.
It turned out in our case that the entire body of the email was being recognised as a signature, so any text entered in the body of the email was cleared when changing the "from" field.
