Produced Video has a shake to it

The video I am creating has a shake to it. I am not referring to the video footage I shot with my camera, I am referring to the Final Cut Video I have produced. I have used some of the templates, and shrunk my video footage down to fill only half of the screen. Every second or two, everything on the screen jolts every so slightly up and down. I can't figure out how to solve the issue. I have tried exporting video clips to see if it's just a problem with canvas, but the shake shows up in QT, .avi, and other video files. I even took the time to put the video through compressor, change it to a mpeg2, and then through DVD Studio, but the DVD I burned had the same shake on a regular TV. Any thoughts on how to make the 'shake' go away?

Not really, as you've already said that it does appear in rendered exports. It makes it pretty hard to diagnose the problem. I'd suggest copy and pasting your video clips into a new sequence, then viewing them carefully to confirm that there is no weirdness. Then I'd try using the templates you have but with some other footage. Essentially I think you're going to need to rebuild your sequence from scratch and check along the way (by rendering as you add elements/make changes) that it is behaving properly. If it was a glitch all should be fine, or you'll be able to isolate the problem and then maybe someone here can offer some more assistance

I can't find this anywhere. I need to find a tutorial of some kind that will teach me how to produce video using still images and vector art among other non-video things.
It needs to be from the ground up as I've really only been poking around in it (and Premiere and Soundbooth) for about a week.

Man, I was hoping you wouldn't say CIB. I have the Flash one and while it's a little informative, I can't say I'm impressed with it. However, it may give me the foundation I'm looking for here.
I'm already fairly well versed in Illy; will just need to learn how to take that knowledge and apply it to video resolutions (this aspect ratio thing of 0.9 and 1.2 has got me spinning when I can't figure out how to properly view a finished product as it will be seen on something other than a computer screen).
Six weeks may be a bit too long. What I need first is basically something a tad better than a decent Powerpoint presentation for DV. I don't need to produce something right off the bat that we'll use for TV commercials; I just need to show the higher-ups that the money they invested in this software (that we were on schedule to buy last September instead purchased last month) was worth it.
I have no doubt that experience is a major factor here. But I'm barely treading water here. If I don't find a surfboard soon, I'll drown. However, based on what's been done for us by "professionals" in the past, the bar isn't set very high for me.
I haven't bothered with any of the GTA games. They don't make that for PCs, do they? I'm not a gaming console guy.
Dropping stuff in the project window I have down no problem; it's knowing what needs to be done beforehand to the files I'll drop there and how to accurately preview them that's raising my blood pressure.
Knowing I won't knock anything out of the park any time soon, I've started small: a 2.5 second "signature" to be placed at the end of a commercial or segment. Black screen, PS-treated background element with a minor scaling effect, and logo with a short wave file. I thought I had that relatively simple thing figured out, but I can't seem to find a way to view it as it would appear on a widescreen TV. It's just stretched and I can't tell if it just looks like that on my computer screen because of how that displays aspect ratio and it will look fine on our widescreens in the stores or not.
If I can figure out that 2.5 spot, I may just have a chance at figuring out how to create the rest of it.

You can always deauthorize all your machines from your store account page — just log in and view your account settings and there's a button to deauth all your machines. Which just means for the other machines, it will ask you for your store ID / password the next time you play a purchased song.
So, let's try the filter experiment.
On the start menu, click on "run". in the space it provides enter "regedit" without the quotes. This will open the registry editor.
Find the heading HKEYLOCALMACHINE. Click on it.
Find the heading SYSTEM inside it. Click on it.
Find the heading CurrentControlSet. Click
Find the heading Control. Click
Find the heading Class. Click
Find the heading that begins {4D36E965- Click
Go up to the Registry menu and select "Export Registry File... command. Make sure the "Selected Branch" radio button is checked and save that off somewhere that you can find it.
Delete the key named LowerFilter.
Select the key named UpperFilter, right click, select "modify". Then edit the text in the dialog to just say "GEARAspiWDM" followed by hitting the return key, the return after the word is important.
Then reboot, and see what iTunes does.
To get the system back to its previous state. Run Regedit again and use the Registry menu -> Import Registry File... command and select the file that you saved off in the first section.
I'm particularly interested in getting rid of the "AFS2K" driver in the chain — that's a old driver from a company that hasn't existed in years.

How can I tell when a video has captions?

Is there a way (an icon or something) to tell when a video has captions? I've paid for several videos only to find out that none of them has captions. How can I tell whether a video has captions before I buy it?
A related question-- Are there any videos in the store now that do have captions? How can I find them?

I have the exact same question. One of the main reasons I pre-ordered Leopard for launch-day delivery was that I thought that iTunes and the new iPods would now be able to play captioned videos. I know that it is supposed to work, but I can't find anything in the iTunes Store that says that it has captions. Is there some way to tell, or are there just no videos available yet in the iTunes Store that have captions?

Does version 12 support producing video clip with AMR audio codec?

From some documents i used as reference to proceude some videos for my phone Premiere Elements 8 can produce video clips with AMR audio codec. I bought today the Premiere elements 12 but I can not find a way to set AMR audio codec for my video clip. Only AAC audio codec seems available. Is it possible to add AMR codec to 12 version?

Adobe typically supports only current version, and, if you purchased from it, is strict on "within 30 days of purchase": for money back on that current version purchase. I do not believe such a thing as a "change the license for other earlier release such as 8 or 9" exists at Adobe. But, you could ask. If you wish to purchase one of those earlier versions that supports AMR export, you might still find some online.
Is the before import conversion of AMR to WAV a viable alternative?

Online I have seen that there is a download for the AMR audio codec. Does your system now show that you have such a codec installed on your computer. If not, I am not sure if download of this codec would place it in the Premiere Elements Publish+Share export settings choices, similar to import of some .avi video codecs. (Sometimes 3rd party codecs can create problem, so proceed with caution if you pursue that AMR audio codec idea.
Please update us on your progress when you get a chance.

What version of FCP X?
Did you render? what are the project specs? do you use many compound clips? how much ram, hard drive space, how is the hard drive connected?
It looks like your mac can't keep up. Maybe the bottleneck is the hard drive, or something else.
Try exporting a master file and see if the video is ok.
Also, keep Activity Monitor open and see how much memory pressure you've got.

Found the fix.
If the reboot doesn't fix it.
If the headphoens work find, but no external speakers.
If the double-click and page right to the software mute, doesn't show the sound knob - just the brightness
If your pop-up shows "Docking Station"
Then, the problem is very likely a dirty connector. The iPad/iPhone/iPod connector uses a resistor value to determine if the device is connected to an external 'speaker'. There are a range of resistances, for a range of products. This is known as the Connector Pin 21 issue.
Take some windex on a que-tip, or perhaps a Windex paper scrub and rub it on the bottom connector port. Somehow, "something" has gotten on those contacts, and it is pulling the voltage on pin #21 down - so that the iPad "thinks" it's connected to an external speaker - this will disable the internal speaker circuitry, as well as the internal speaker volume controls.
Do not over-saturate and short out your iPad. Do not throw it in the sink, do not use the kitchen faucet to flush it out. A Que-tip with a few drops of Windex (or other gentle cleaner) should work just fine. Takes all of 30 seconds - and magically, the volume knob appeared and everything worked just fine.

Ipod Video has problems with umlaut in calendar

Can anybody here confirm that the ipod video has problems displaying umlauts (i.e ä) in the calendar, if the umlaut is the last characters of the summary. If the umlaut is in the middle of a word, it is displayed correctly.
The summary of the ics file is encoded as Quoted-Printable.
Here is a sample line:

CS4 video jumps and shakes when exporting to any video format

I created a project in CS4 and exported the video into a Mpeg2 format and the video skips/jumps/shakes instead of playing continuously. When I test the project inside the project the video plays fine. What could be causing the problem. Please help!!!!!

So you have a video (.mov) that some how you got from Flash.
It has no sound on it.
Does the .mov import into Premiere?
If it does..you edit it in the timeline (sequence) and add audio to the audio track(s) before exporting it.

Hello Sid,
This error message is generated when the producer's session has timed out. The consumer (WLP) should automatically create a new session by calling initCookie(), but this error message will still get sent to the console.
If the session timeout on the producer is causing problems, such as lost navigational or portlet state, try increasing the session timeout settings on the producer.

Youtube ipad blank no UI but navigator for video has been shrink?

I don't know if this a bug from youtube,or something that my small brother did,so i was letting my small brother going on my ipad mini youtube app,and when i got it back and go on youtube, the white UI for browsing videos has been shrinked into like a iphone size and nothing is in the middle but i can see my profile tabs (My channel,my subscriptions,History,etc) on the left just fine, i tried pulling it back into the middle but it won't let me,i tried going to settings and nothing there helps me,i tried deleting the app and re-downloaded the app, and it still is the same.

I have exactly the same issue on my ios8.0.2 ipad Air.
The app appears to work as expected in portrait mode but when swapping to landscape (which I normally use it in) the white area showing the list of videos has shrunk from 2/3rds of the width of the screen to 1/3rd. It's as if it's not auto scaling out again when the screen orientation changes.
I seem to have an additional grey column now under the settings cog i can click on but nothing I do will shift it. I've tried dragging the video list to the left, double clicking, resetting the youtube app and even scrubbing it from the pad and re-installing it. no joy.
It kind of looks like the settings icon isn't in a small square area anymore but has resized out to 1/3rd of the screen wide (leaving the icon itself the same size at the top) and extended all the way down the screen.
Glad i found at least one other person getting this issue as it's been driving me nuts trying to work out what happened.

Premiere Elements 11, 12, or 13 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit....
You could go back to the project and, in the Edit area, scale out the bouncing bottom edge. I am assuming that it will be visible there.
Then do another burn to folder, and then take the saved folder's VIDEO_TS to DVD disc with your 3rd party software, presumed ImgBurn.
If you want to scale width and height together, then leave the check mark next to Constrain Proportions in Applied Effects Tab/Applied Effects Palette/Motion Panel expanded. If you want to scale width and height separately, the remove the check mark next to Constrain Proportions in Motion Panel expanded.
Please let us know the results. We might consider the Crop Effect also. (fx Effects/Transform/Crop with edits of it int Applied Effects Tab/Applied Effects Palette/Crop Panel expanded).
