Producing links to other websites

I am putting an article into someone elses blog but would like 3 links to others websites to help explain technical concerns. Is there a method like in e-mail messaging?

What has this got to do with Adobe Acrobat - are you uploading a PDF file?
Links in PDFs can point anywhere, and are created in the application used to design the PDF or by using the Link tool in Acrobat.

i have an acer 1 running linpus and firefox 2.0.014, i can't update it for some reason and now it has stopped browsing links to other websites, i have cleared all the history, caches, allowed the websites to accept cookies but still nothing any one out there help me? this is being posted from my desktop as my acer can't interact with the web....

Do you mean you cannot upgrade Firefox version or upgrade the plug-in?

Not true: Links to other websites open in a new tab so that your App Tab doesn't change.

In the article "What are App Tabs", there's the following statement:
"Links to other websites open in a new tab so that your App Tab doesn't change." That doesn't happen when I make an App Tab in FF 7.01 in Win 7. I want it to happen, but it doesn't. Sometimes I want to keep Gmail open while I open an link in an email. When I click on the link, I expect a new tab to open, but it doesn't. Instead, the App Tab the contains gmail goes to the linked website. How can I stop this from happening?

I am setting up a new website and am pretty new to this. I'm not sure if this can be done but can you create links to other websites (not just a page within my site)? i.e. Can I have a link to a friend's website?

Absolutely!
Just create the object you want to use for a link (Text, object, photo, anything) and in the Inspector, go to the Hyperlink tab, (that's the white arrow in the blue circle) and check the 'enable hyperlink' box. There's a pop-up option list that appears, for what you want it to link to; and the default appears to be 'external page'. then just type in the http:// url and away you go.
If you use text as your link, you can format it at to colour, rollover colour, underline or not, etc.

PL/SQL query that has a link to other website

I want to do a query that list books info (Date published, name, category, etc). The part I can't figure out is how would I create an HTML link on the "Name?" The website is on a separate server (i.e. http://mybookstore.com). The links are in the table with the Name and category.
I would like to use PL/SQL or Java (but prefer PL/SQL).
Any help would be appreciated.

Where exactly you want to use the query ... Is it for a report in Portal ...

How do I add a link to a website to connect to my website?

I need to put a link of my website address on another website. I looked it up under "help" it said to go to edit-add link etc... I do not have 'add link' under edit, or any where else for that matter. I do not know if you would need this info but I am running a mac with Yosemite. Thank you for your your help.

You can only add links to other websites if you have permission, and that's not really something we can help you with here. Please contact the website you are having trouble with, they can help you.

How to include other website into yours without letting the user's know

I have my own website. Now I want to put a link to other website( say yahoo.com) inside my html pages. When ever I clicks on yahoo.com it takes me to yahoo. I want to embed this yahoo in my pages so that user does not know if he is actually visiting yahoo. The browser should not show the yahoo URL instead it should keep my website URL Only. Any ideas how this can be done will be appreciated..

Simplest solution. Have a frameset specification in the page from your website and load the other website inside the frame. This way the URL of the frame content will not be visible to the browser.

Linking to Flash Websites

I am relatively new to dreamweaver and have encountered a
problem. When I am setting up links to other websites (for example,
to our city's tourism page), if they have a flash video on them or
flash buttons on them, those things do not show up. I can still
navigate around the website, but if I slide the cursor over a
picture or a button, it brings up a broken link icon. Is there
anything I can do about this?

When you are setting up links to other websites? So, you are
creating a
page, and on that page is a link to a website that contains a
Flash
element? Can you clarify, please?

TREX Search : static HTML pages in KM with links to other intranet websites

we have some static HTML pages stored in KM. Besides text, these pages contain links ot other intranet websites, pdf or word documents.
I have defined an index, according to <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/73/66c090acf611d5993700508b6b8b11/frameset.htm">creating an index</a>
Following parameters have been added :
IndexInternalLinks = true
indexContentOfExternalLink = true
showWithoutDatasource = true
Already had a look at <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/46/5d5040b48a6913e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Crawlers and Crawler Parameters</a>, tried by creating a new crawler profile and setting
Maximum Depth = 3 (we want to search three levels deep)
There is also <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/46/5d5040b48a6913e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Resource Filters</a>
The html pages itself are included in the index, but the content of the external links is not included.
Would this be possible? We don't want to define an <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/73/66c090acf611d5993700508b6b8b11/frameset.htm">HTTP System</a> in the system landscape, as we don't need to index the whole external website and some parts of it are obsolete - we only want following the links and included the external content in the index.
Portal version is NW2004S SP10.

If you don't want to create a HTTP system then you can create a simple web repository.

It means what the message says. The format of the song can't be converted to a format compatible with the iPod.
Does it play in iTunes?
Where id the song come form?
Try deleting and reimporting into iTunes.

Can't link up with facebook on other websites (firfox 27.0) (rafflecopter, like buttons, etc)

Facebook will not link up correctly. For instance, Rafflecopter NEVER shows the Facebook log-in option. Other websites will not link up; the "Like" button never shows up. This started as soon as I upgraded to v 27; other browsers work correctly. Even Facebook pages don't show up correctly , the line-up is "off", but I don't know if this is a Firefox problem or Facebook, since they recently re-designed the page.

After recent upgrades Firefox prevents links in several websites from working whilst there is no such problem with other browsers - help please.

Since a recent upgrade of Firefox links in several websites no longer work. They used to be fine and I loved Firefox. The problems do not exist with other browsers e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome. More specifically, on talktalk.co.uk the links to news items do not work, nor do those to "My Account." On Barclays.co.uk the link to print my statement doesn't work - similarly on MBNA.com
There are several suggested solutions around the internet but all are complex, none so far have worked and I don't see why I should need to carry out the suggested tweaks. Firefox used to be great - now it isn't. The problem seems to be with the upgrade. Please help me to get my Firefox to where it should be.

Thank you but please don't waste any more time on this. I have done as I said I would - removed and re- installed Firefox, cleared all cookies and caches (CCleaner) - still doesn't work. As I said at the start, the problem is not confined to Talktalk - it applies to several other sites and links. I can login ok and open some links but unable to open links to other pages within site. I have tried a similar fantasy league of supercoach which has a very similar format and all links on that site work ok. Is this a viral thing or computer issue or site issue? I saved my driver install file, so I tried reinstalling that, then tried updating to the latest driver for my video card, updating quicktime, uninstalling and installing an older version of quicktime instead, and nothing has worked. I think I'm back to my little red herring. So after some googling, it seemed "cineform.cab" was a Sony Vegas thing (so I had it somehow still living in my files from a couple years back), so I got a disc from my friend who'd made me try Vegas in the first place, and reinstalled. The "cineform.cab" file is back, yet my problem remains. *headdesk* So that part is looking busted as to being my problem.
But I'm back to thinking about that Cineform Neo Scene trial, and it would be a huge coincidence if uninstalling that didn't cause the problem (seeing as I've ruled out almost everything under the sun). And what Neo Scene does is convert mov files to avi for better playback and editing in Premiere, and it installs something that makes those avi files playable in Windows Media Player. And I'm getting weirdness in Premiere with mov files and in Windows Media Player with certain avi files. It *has* to be that that trial unistalled (or installed and didn't remove, but I doubt this since I know all was working smoothly while the trial was still active) something it should not have. Right? Or am I just going crazy here?
I guess it's time to try seeing if Cineform tech support will help me without me buying their product. Like a list of everything their uninstaller kills would be nice.

Facebook and other websites not loading properly in Firefox (Solution)

This is for anyone who has had issues loading Facebook, eBay, twitter or any other site which shows plain text pushed to the left hand-side of the screen and fails to load images.
This issue had me stumped for about 3 hours. No matter what I did. No matter what I disabled. The problem remained. I cleared my cache, reset cookies, disabled addons, reset Firefox to default settings and kicked my pc a few times for good measure.
The problem was fairly simple and at my end, this is not a problem with firefox. SSL certification for facebook was being deemed invalid and therefore the site failed to load properly. Now because Firefox doesn't deal with SSL certificate failures, there had to be something else going on in another program. I then realised that Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 was the problem. If a website failed SSL certification for any reason Kaspersky Blocks access to the site which was causing the page to not load properly. You have to disable Kaspersky's SSL certifcation checks to be able to run the websites properly. You need to load your Kaspersky main menu and click Settings once there go to the tab that looks like a cardboard box (Object Detection Settings and Exclusion Rules) then when you can see a list of different options select Network and you should see Monitored Ports and Encrypted Connections Scan, disabled the encrypted connections then reload Firefox and try the webpage that wouldn't load. To know that kaspersky is the problem, you will get a dialogue saying you have to add facebook as an exception since it failed SSL Certification and this was the culprit for me atleast.
I looked at the mozilla support forums and it seemed to me, many people were getting this issue and some issues went completely unresolved and there was no mention about Kaspersky, so I hope this helps.'''bold text'''

* can you detail simple but exact detailed Steps To Reproduce that will enable others to test out this problem and solution.

IOS 8 - pictures not uploading in safari for facebook and other websites? I just upgraded to IOS 8 on my iPad 3 retina display and when I try to upload pictures in safari for facebook, the picture upload just stalls and never completes. This happens in other sites as well. How can I fix this? Is anyone also experiencing this issue???
