Product Build Cycle Time

Hi everyone,
I have been asked to investigate our Business Content data for production cycle time information. They would like me to develop a report that gives them all of the time intervals that make up the product build cycle - things they want included are "Rework", "Test", "Wait time for material", "Engineering development", "in stores time" and any other time that would be counted toward our product build cycle time. Could someone please point me to the Business Content and/or reports that report off of it that might have some/all of this information? Your help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Ys,
Implementing SAP (or any other software) will not change cycle time. The only thing that changes cycle time is to change business processes.
That being said, a PP implementation can be used as a tool to help you re-evaluate your existing processes, and then to change these processes concurrently with the implementation.
An example would be that during your requirements gathering, you discover that certain products have 5 manufacturing operations. By studying the operations, you discover that the greatest portion of your end-to-end manufacturing time is setup, teardown, and wait time. This is an opportunity to discover the reasons for the many changeovers, and the wait time, and then to influence Manufacturing and Engineering to come up with a better way to manage these products to minimize changeovers and internal queues, before you create your PP routings. Once you have booked these new durations into your routings, and begin to use SAP PP, it will schedule your shop to use the shortened durations. Further, SAP will give you tools to highlight when you are missing your internal goals.
In the above scenario, implementing PP did not change the cycle time. The cycle time changed because the company changed their business processes.

How small Standard Cycle time can be defined in OEE standard?

Hello,
There's OEE standard definition in MII and it allows to define standard cycle time.
I'd like to know how small Standard Cycle time can be defined in OEE standard?
In my customer case, their product is very small and SFC size will be over than 10,000.
(Please imagine screw.)
This screw's required process time at resource A is 0.72 seconds.
Then, they defined the standard cycle time as 0.0002 hour.
0.72 / 3600 = 0.0002
Does OEE report allows such small standard cycle time?
If not, how we can define OEE standard and use OEE report functionality?

Hi Nick,
Main question here is: does business want to keep those members as separate members or it wants to merge them.
If they want to keep them as separate then you have to come up with a better conversion procedure.
If they want to merge them then you have to find out how to find another member to merge with.
You should also implement same procedure when you are going to load Transaction data.

I have used the Adobe Cleaner Tool many times and uninstalled other Adobe Products but neither has worked. I have uninstalled/reinstalled this CD version of Dreamweaver several times when changing computers and after having computer issues. A google search of the problem suggested it may be an error related to the number of times I can reinstall this product due to licensing issues. Please help.

Absolutely not. You are misinterpreting things. The activation check never happens when just running the installer, only much later. It means what it says - there is another "install" pending/ active on your system, meaning somewhere there is an (invisible) process still blocking things. Either way, since you haven't provided any real technical info, we can't advise specifically. if you are on Windows, you may want to check your task manager and terminate any setup.exe and msiexec.exe processes plus potentially may need to manually fix/ delete some registry keys. For anything beyond that you will have to be much more specific.

I already Uninstalled and reinstalled the product and it still does not work.

Try to uninstall the software again and you have to manually
Delete the following folders:
[Startup Disk]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PCD
[Startup Disk]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/caps
[Startup Disk]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/backup
[Startup Disk]/Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/
[Startup Disk]/Library/Application Support/FLEXnet Publisher/
Go to Applications-->Utilities-->Disk Utility, Open it and Select the MAC HD and then click on Repair permissions.
After that try to run the cleaner tool as mentioned by kglad.
Restart machine and then try to install again.
*** Make sure , you only delete these folders if there is no other adobe applications installed on the machine. As if you have any other Adobe application of the suite ( not free applications ) then it will be a problem.

Acrobat 9 Pro Error 148:3 You cannot use this product at this time

Am running XP Pro SP3 with Acrobat 9.0 Pro Extended. Until I installed Comodo antivirus software yesterday, Acrobat worked fine. Now when I open Acrobat I get an error message similar to this: “You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair this problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contact your IT . . . (148:3).” Then when I click OK, Acrobat shuts down.
I’ve tried the Licensing fixes found at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405970.html but fixes didn’t work. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now when I try to install updates, it looks like it’s installing but at the end the installation says it failed.
Any ideas on how to resolve my problem? Thank-you.

Bill, you're correct and thanks for your help. In my particular case, Acrobat Pro was working fine until I upgraded Comodo (from the green/white shield to the red shield). Thnking it was an Acrobat problem, I uninstalled Acrobat Pro and reinstalled Acrobat Pro with Comodo turned off. Still got the "148:3" error msg. Solution, I uninstalled Comodo and restarted the computer. Then updated Acrobat Pro, there were two updates. Restarted computer. Then installed Comodo. Everything now works fine.

Select multiple Products at a time

While creating a new Sales Order in CRM, when you press F4 on Product ID field, we get multiple products on search help screen. we can select only one at a time. But requirement is to select multiple Products at a time and they need to be copied to the sales order at item level. How to acheive this?

Even then if it takes more time in production that may depend on the change request.

As per your reqs, there is no such report exist in the system. you have to create the custom report

Project Cycle Time report

Hi,
Our aim is to get the count of days which the project rely in each phase. For instance the project created in Kick off phase on some date then it is advanced to Contract phase on someother date and finally into Completed phase, we have to get the No of days the project where in Kick off phase and no of days in Contract phase.
Is there any table store the timestamp or log to track these changes and advancing stages.
It would be really helpful if somebody throw some light on this.

Hi Sasikumar,
Please look for table FCI_DOC_WORKFLOW_HISTORY. In this table look for the rows having PARENT_CLASS_ID as 1100.
1100 is the class id for Project.
FCI_DOC_WORKFLOW_HISTORY contains the history for all phase transitions made by a particular document. It also conatins some extra rows that the system inserts whenver a phase transition occurs. You can filter out these extra rows using appropriate values for the following two Enums : EVENT_TYPE and ACTION.
Once you can fetch the correct rows from the table it should be simple to calculate the cycle time.
Please do some analysis on the value of these Enums before wirting your code because they are essential for fetching correct results.

Bex Query po cycle time

Hello everybody
I am relatively new here; I have to calculate po cycle time(srm application) in my query and also report some other stuff. Question is how to calculate date feilds like difference of date feilds. And then i am having big issue with finding these date fields like po approval date, req id date and shopping cart approval date. Also i am not sure how these dates are coming in bw like mapping wise. Do they have to be mapped to infoobjects like themselves or could be mapped to standard time charachterstics.
Any help is appreciated. I really need to get this thing working soon

I don't know the DS name in R/3 bcoz i have pulled the data from ARIBA system...you can chk with R/3 guys, they will be able to help you in finding tables and then you can find DS or create it on the tables...
For the calculation of PO cycle time..you have two option
1. In the report create a formula variable and put the two KF like
req-date - po-approve_date it will give you the difference of these two dates in no. of days
2. Create a infoObject of type date...and populate it with these two dates...write a routine in update rule...pass these two dates and use any function module
FIMA_DAYS_BETWEEN_TWO_DATES
DAYS_BETWEEN_TWO_DATES
It will give you the difference in year month and day...
Choose whatever option suits you
