Product category not replicating

Hi,
I have a product categoty in Table T023 in backend system.I am trying to replicate it to SRM.
I run R3AS choosing the source system and it run successfully.But when I checked in Comm_Hierarchy I can't find the Product category.
what is the problem?

Hello Raajendra,
Use the Middleware SAP menu below:
SAP menu > Tools > Middleware: Basis > Monitoring
Check transactions inside folders Data Exchange, Message flow and Queues.
Look by yourself threads dealing with product categories replication.

    but then i went back and checked for category and hierarchy in CRM system ..it is showing all there and it is downloaded form R/3 system.

    Hi,
          I believe all the categories which you are viewing currently in the pop up are from a single hierarchy ( Most probably R3PRODHIER). And the categories which you are looking for is probably from a different hierarchy ( R3MATCLAS, R3PRODSTYP etc.).
    By standard, for sales applications only R3PRODHIER is supported. Please have a look at the IMG path Cross-Application Component->SAP Product-> Product Category->Assign Category Hierarchy to Applications, where you can verify this. If you are so particular about using categories from a different hierarchy you might need to change this setting - I am not sure about other implications that can cause if you change that like downloading from R/3 etc.

    We have performed changes to product categories in Dev system and moved it to Q. I can see all the cateogories correctly in COMM_HIERARCHY, but when I try to add them in the org structure to users, I can't find them.
    Any idea, why this could happen?

    How are you trying to map your product categories in organisational structure?
    via extended attribute? for eg. product category?
    how did you move from dev to Quality ?
    i believe you can create(load)  hierarchy in quality  which you might have done in development?

  • 0SD_C03 - Product Category Not Loading

    I have an issue where the field 0PROD_CATEG is not being populated in cube 0SD_C03. Looking at the data from 2LIS_11_VAHDR I see that its trying to map 0PROD_HEIR -> 0PROD_CATEG.
    Here is the code for the mapping:
    The problem is that product category is all ways blank. The COMM_STRUCTURE-prod-heir is allways '999999999999999'.
    I see that product category is an master data info object but we don't use product category. I was wondering if I could swap out 0PROD_CATEG for 0PROD_HEIR but since 0PROD_CATEG is a part of the Key im not sure if its that easy (Or maybe it is).
    At the end of the day I want to be able to report on HEIR or Category and say for the month of Jan we sold x number of widget A, B, C. The product category or Heirarchy can help with this if I can get it loaded.
    Any ideas whats going on with the code and can I just remove product category and map product heirarchy instead?

    are there 16 Key figures defined in the target? If so is this the reason that 0PROD_CATEG is concactenated in the target? i.e. 16 KF's is the limit when mapped directly in a standard DSO, you can check the limitations in the following note....

    You could consider mapping some of the KF's as standard data fields if so,

  • Product Category not transferred from CCM 1.0 to Shopping Cart

    Hello all,
    I have a problem where user choose item from integrated SAP catalog CCM 1.0 and add it to the shopping cart (EBP is 5.0).
    When SC is displayed Category is different than in catalog.
    I have only one backend (R/3 4.7) working in classic scenario.
    During testing I copied material groups several times from the same backend with TCode R3AS but using FM BBP_CATEGORY_GET_GUID I checked that I have only one GUID per product grup in EBP.
    User does not have default category.
    In OrgStructure > Extended Attributes there is no limit on Product Categories ("*" for backend system). In this case EBP is always using alphabetically the first listed category.
    If I list categories in Extended Atributes, system always use the first listed and not the proper one from the catalog.

    I should be now red due to the mistake that I made in catalog files.
    In file for Supplier Catalog I did not include /ccm/product_group. After I did it everything went OK. I was thinking that CategoryID is enough. :blush:

  • Issue in  product category replication from R/3 to SRM

    We are in the process of replicating Material Group from R/3 to SRM
    using transaction R3AR2 & R3AR4. Our Pre-Production server got
    refreshed recently & this has caused all EBM data inclucing Logical
    System & Destination being overwritten with EBP data.
    We have maintained middleware paramaters, viz., CRMCONSUM, CRMRFCPAR,
    CRMPAROLTP & also TBE11.
    We have also maintained sites in CRM Middleware Monitoring Cockpit
    using SMWP.
    We have also tried after deleting entries in tables CRMPRLS (R/3) &
    CRMMLSGUID (EBM) as suggested by SAP note 765018
    We have followed steps mentioned in link /people/marcin.gajewski/blog/2007/02/05/how-to-replicate-material-master-from-r3-to-srm
    (But we are not clear about site attributes which needs to maintain as per the CRM Middleware Monitoring Cockpit.)
    ISSUE:
    Material Group gets replicated to Product Category in SRM. However, the
    Product Category gets replicated with Logical System which is not
    maintained in EBM

  • R/3 material number not replicated in COMM_PRODUCT and COMMPR01 in SRM

    Hi SRM experts,
    We have a problem when SRM user tries to raise order against Product A. He encountered an error "Incomplete items on Catalog, only complete Items transferred". Upon looking at COMM_PRODUCT table and COMMPR01 (product maintenance) in SRM, this Product A is not existing. What could be the reason why this product was not replicated in SRM? Among materials w/c belong to same Product Category are all exist in table except for this specific material. This, however, is existing in MARA and not flagged for deletion. I have checked the SMQ2 in SRM and no queues found.
    Need your expert advice.

    In SRM, use Transaction – SM30
    Go to Table - COMCHIERARCHY_
    Amend the setting so that the following is checked:
    Transfer 60 Character Description
    This will now ensure that the 60 character material group description is replicated to SRM.
    The OSS note (455949) SAP has given us long back works around CRM customizing path.
    *To access it in SRM use SM30 on COMCHIERARCHY to use long description instead of short one.*_
    Use
    In R/3 system - T023T has short description (20 char) and long description ( 60 char ).
    The description in SRM COMM_CATEGORYT has 80 char length.

  • Query Regarding Default Product category set up in SRM server

    HI SAp Gurus,
    Plesae note that I have created one dummy product category - Test under R3MATCLASS using TC - COMM_HIERARCHY and set in the extended attribute of the root organization level.
    Also done the validation in BBP_DOC_CHECK _BADI.
    In SRM portal it is reflecting the text as *Please select a product category from list* in Category field as I set in SRM server.
    But when I try to select "Add To Shopping Cart" Button it displays the following error messages that -
    1) Enter A comapny Code
    2) Enter a unit of measure
    3) Plant for follow-on document missing
    4) System FCSCLNT110 of purch. organization M&S Purchasing Organisation differs from doc. reference FSSCLNT480
    5) Error in account assignment for item 1
    6) Error calling META BAPI META_CALCULATE_TAX
    7) Not possible to calculate tax
    8) Error occurred calling META_BAPI_DISPATCH
    9) The cost center has not been assigned in the account assignment
    When I select the valid product category which is replicated to SRM from ECC , it does not display any error message.
    I think the dummy product category - Test which I have created directly in SRM is creating the problem . and displays an error message-
    System FCSCLNT110 of purch. organization M&S Purchasing Organisation differs from doc. reference FSSCLNT480
    I have also check that when i click Add to Shopping Cart Button - The item_check Badi is also triggered . When I set up the break point there for debugging purpose its not triggeing and coming up with the above error messages.

    I confirm that have successfully created the dummy product Category at SRM server and maintained in the extended attribute tab at the root organization level.
    Bu the new problem raised - a warning message -  No authorization to purchase from product category - Test
    For that in PFCG TC we are setting up the autorization level as Low for Startegic Purchasing Role.
    But even then the great problem is - when i click add to shopping cart button the line item is not created in step 2, since I have selected the dummy product category not the one which is replicated from backend. Otherwise if i select the one which is replicated from ECC its showing me the one line item in the next screen.
    Can any one please advice.

  • Configuration is not replicated from CRM to ECC for configurable product

    Hi,
    We have some materials in the system for which the configuration is not replicated from CRM to ECC.
    We create a quotation in CRM and configure it. In CRM,  the configuration is complete and components are properly exploded but when we check the same quotation in ECC, configuration is incomplete with respect to some characteristics and product references.
    Please find below finding
    1. If the same material is created in another plant/company code, the configuration is replicated properly.
    2. We have also checked that the BOM is completely maintained for plants for which configuration is replicated. But we dont think so it could be an issue since if we create the quotation in ECC instead of creating in CRM, for the plant (for which the configuration is not replicated from CRM to ECC),  it is properly exploded and complete.
    3. variant prices are replicated properly even though components are not replicated.
    We need to know if we can explode the BOM in the configuration even though complete BOM for the particular plant is not maintained. If its not possible to explode, why it is possible for us to explode the BOM in the configuration in quotation.
    Please  advise.

    the configuration (variant configuration and not customization) that is done in CRM contract is not copied to ECC contract. Is it because that item category in CRM is activated for doing the BOM configuration and the same in ECC is not activated for doing the BOM configuration?
    My question is that if item category in ECC is not activated for BOM configuration then is it like that the BOM configuration in CRM will not be copied to ECC?

  • BP created with category Person and BP Role Consumer is not replicated

    Hello Gurus,
    I have created a BP with Category Person and BP Role Consumer but after saving my BP is not getting
    replicated to ERP, though in the Clasification Tab i could see consumer is being selected and the Account
    group 0170 - Consumer showing up. 
    I have also checked in PIDE transaction in ERP system this Account group has clasification E which is Consumer.person,and as numbe range is assigned to this Account group 
    i have checked in middleware there is an error message which says "BP XXXX doesnt not exist as customer,change not possible" and aslo one more message which says "no classification is assigned to BP"
    any customizing is missing in CRM system, or only customiaing required is in ERP only?

    Please find the below path in ECC
    SPRO>Logistic General>Business Partner>Customer>Define Account Groups and Field Selection for Customers.
    Select 0170 Consumer account grp and click on details. You will see the Number range in General Data.
    Copy that number range and goto below path and check if the number range is internal or external.
    SPRO>Logistic General>Business Partner>Customer>Define and Assign Customer Number ranges. The popup will appear and select Define Number ranges for customer master. Click on display intervals. You will see the number range is mainatined internal or external.

  • GL Account/Product category mapping not working in transported client

    We have implemented SRM 5 and an Ecc 6.0 backend.
    We have transported the GL Account /Product category mapping config from the DEV client to the Quality client. In the quality client we run BDLS to set the correct backend system for the GL account/product category mapping.
    When we create a shopping cart, GL accounts are not determined. We have noticed that in table BBP_DET_ACCOUNT, the backend system is still pointing to the DEV client backend system not the quality client backend system. Why is this?
    Do we have to always manually reset this config in every client that we transport this table if we have new or changed entries?

  • Product category does not exist in logical system

    Hello Experts,
    Need help in understanding product category change behaviour.
    Shopping cart created and approved.
    PO created and approved.
    Now PO change version created by changing product category.
    Please enlighten me whether this change is really allowed on business perspective and SAP perspective.
    So far we been told that there is business case to justify this change.
    If allowed by SAP, then how do we solve the problem of error occuring in workflow "product category does not exist in logical system XXXX".
    Please advise.

    1.are you ordering the item from external catalog? ( any  mapping between catalog product category to SAP product category )?
    2. after approved PO created.
    3. Now BUYER could change the product category again?
    4. why the BUYER takes push ups for REQUESTER . Let Buyer cancel the PO and ask requester to create a PO.
    What is the business process existing in your business ?
    Since product category determines purchase group and every thing like gl account etc..
    Can you recreate the same issue in development box?

    You have an SRM PO with items having multiple account assignment. Go to the PO item overview OR to the item basic data tab and change the product category. However, this does not trigger a new GL account determination for the accounting lines.
    Note 1407962 - Category is editable when contract is assigned in PO item
    Symptom
    When ever a Contract item (Free text or Product Category) is assigned to a Purchase order free text line item, The category modification is not allowed.  This is because the product category is always copied from the contract item and overrides the Category for Purchase Order Item. It is confusing for the user as the category is editable and can't be modified.
    SAP has different different behaviors . Kindly tell us what type you belongs too...

  • Datasource not replicated in Production Environment

    Hi all,
    I activate a datasource 2lis_04_p_comp in SAP R/3 development environment and replicate it in BW development environment. All works are OK.
    Then I transport this datasource in R/3 production environment a first time, then a second time after several modifications on my datasource. All transports and activation (first and second wave of transport on this datasource) are OK between development and production environment (on R/3).
    2LIS_04_P_COMP is same (on R/3) between development and production environment.
    But when I want replicate 2LIS_04_P_COMP in BW production environment, several fields are not replicated. Only fields wich are transported in first wave are replicated in BW production environment. Fields which are added (after datasource modifications) and transported in second wave of datasource transports, are not replicated (Datasource contains these fields on R/3 development and production environment). Whereas in development environment all fields are correctly replicated.
    I think, my problem stems from replication in BW production environment.
    How can I replicated all fields in my BW production environment ?

    Can u check the transport log for 2nd time transport from R/3 Dev to R/3 Prod...
    Did u see all the changes in R/3 prod for DS 2LIS_04_P_COMP ..
    try this again..
    R/3 prod
    RSA6--> Select 2LIS_04_P_COMP Click on Truck icon -->
    BW Prod
    RSA1--> Source Sys tab > Select ur SS> RightClk and Replicate Datasources

  • "Add to Shooping cart" button does not work when changing Product Category

    Dear all, we are running SRM 4.0 Classic scenario and we have a strange problem with Product Category field. When click on the "Describe Requirement", it opens the shopping cart page with the Product Category field and the default value is coming from favorites. As long as you dont change this value , enter the other fields and click on the "Add to shopping cart" button, then it works. If the users try to change this value on this page to select a different value from the drop down, then the "Add to Shopping Cart" button does not work. Has anyone encountered this problem before. Users are getting frustrated with this behaviour. Any help to fix this issue is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Dear Disha, this is what is the behaviour.
    Suppose, if for a particular user, there are 4 items listed as favorites in the Product category and one of them is a default value. If you don't make any changes to this value and then click on Add to Shopping Cart, it works. If you try to select a different value other than the default from the favorites, then the Button does not do anything.You click on it nothing happens and cannot go to the next page. Also all the links are disabled (ie Describe Requirement / Old Purchase Order and Template)
    If we dont change the value for Product category and go to the next page (with default value) and then change the Product category here, it works (Continue button works and were able to Order or Hold).
