Hello,
Lately my HP laptop goes pretty slow, while it's a gaming laptop it can't even run games on lowest quality.
A friend recommended to format my laptop using some kind of recovery partition but I don't understand it so well.
He said I should look in the information booklet that should be delivered with my laptop, but when I bought it I didn't got that booklet. He said to look for the reinstalling procedure.
Well, I have totally no idea what I have to do now, can someone help me?

Well that's interesting because I happen to have a desktop Pavilion model p6212f with product # 00359 OEM 8992687-00010 and a certificate on the computer that reads Windows 7 Home Premium OA . So can anyone tell me whether this is a valid copy of windows Or not? I have only had trouble with this computer since the day I bought it at an Office Max store just forty five minutes away from Microsoft main office. But in answer to your question I find it strange that both your laptop and my desktop both have the same product # for windows 7. I have noticed things with my computer that identify with a desktop and have tried to query HP about these things but they have stood fast in denying any wrongdoing. So I would think at least one of us has to be holding a lemon or else we both are.If you find out which please let me know too because I haven't found out after almost two years of wrangling with HP and Microsoft.

I've checked installation log files and nothing interesting seems to be there.

Very strange and funny problem. When I download file again and use WinZip insteed of Windows zip manager it works. Funny thing is I didn't get any error that something is wrong with zip file and I was able to start installation.

How to change pre-ASC product information

I have been having an ongoing problem changing the computer information in my profile. I am talking about the product information line that I can get to appear at the end of a post when I use the advanced editor (e.g., "G4 Quicksilver 2x1GHz 2x120GB HDs 1.5GB RAM 10.4.11/9.2.2, iTunes 7.5, QT7, QTP2.5.1"), or when I start a new topic. You'd think this would be in my profile. If I click "add or edit my products" in the advanced editor it takes me to the main "Apple Support Profile" where I have to login a second time. This looks like a more general Apple product window which I never use because I don't have anything other than my 8 year old G4 handed down through multiple owners (okay, I omit my G3 and my IIci in boxes in the basement), and no iTunes or App accounts, etc. All I want to do is edit my present information (which dates from before the AD --> ASC transition) so I can edit the drive information. If in a normal ASC browser mode I go to Your Stuff > Profile to the profile page where it has the Profile/YourStuff/Notifications tabs, then Profile > My Products > Edit it gives me the new gadgets list but I don't see my line there. I can click on add, then go to the very end of the selection list to "other product" customized line, but I can't re-create my current product line there because the field lengths are pretty restricted (cuts off much shorter than the display window even if I put extras in the "other details" field). Am I just grandfathered in with this old format, or am I missing something?

I haven't found a way to get a product to automatically appear as it used to with the old Apple Discussions software. In order to get a product profile to appear on posts you have to use the advanced editor and at the bottom you have to activate the radio button next to your product. Make sure you get the right one as this option doesn't appear if you go back to edit your post, though some less friendly version of it does appear.
The way I found to change the field was:
Your Stuff > Profile
Profile page > My Products > Add a product
Add a product window > change Product - "no product" to "Other product (specify)" (bottom of list)
This lets you put a short string of product information in one box that you will not be able to edit in future (except by deleting the whole product profile), select an OS version (you don't have to, but if you do then then this doesn't detract from the other characters you get), then another short string in the "Other details" box. You can edit the other details box so if it's something you think is going to change soon put it in the second box.
By doing this I changed (by making a new profile)
G4 Quicksilver 2x1GHz 2x120GB HDs 1.5GB RAM 10.4.11/9.2.2, iTunes 7.5, QT7, QTP2.5.1
to
G4 Quicksilver 2x1GHz 250/120GB HDs, Mac OS X (10.4.11), OS9.2.2, iTunes7.5, QT7.4&QTP2.5.1

First box: G4 Quicksilver 2x1GHz 250/120GB HDs,
From drag-down menu: Mac OS X (10.4.11)
Other details: OS9.2.2, iTunes7.5, QT7.4&QTP2.5.1
I haven't done so yet but I suspect I may be able to delete my original profile.
This system does have advantages in that you can have a number of easily selectable "products".

Itunes wont install--disappears after "publishing product information"

When I install itunes, it will reach "publishing product information" and then suddenly disappear. I have read the posts, disabled my firewall, and looked at the support articles online--none of which have resolved my issue.
Do you have any suggestions?

our "publishing product quit"/1607 KB doc got revised on 31 january 2006:

... and there's now an alternate set of treatment possibilities given in there for XP home users. people are being linked to the DCOM settings tip over at InstallShield:

I went in to the itunes folder in "c:/program files/itunes' and launched it from there, I discovered it would launch itunes.exe without the configuration. So I just deleted all the itunes shortcuts from the start menu and desktop and recreated them from the itunes.exe in the program files folder.

Creating Item Catalog Category in Product Information Management(PIM)

I am new to oracle apps R12. now i am working on Product Information Management(PIM) module in R12. I want to create a new Item catalog category(ICC) under the root item catalog. It was used to adding my new items in the hierarchy. I could able to create new item in PIM , but could not able to create a new Item catalog category(ICC).
Please help How create a new Item catalog category in PIM.

Did you followed complete steps like
1. Development Manager > Setup Workbench
2. Select from list Product
3. Click on Sub-Task "Categories"
4. Click on Task Categories
5. Click on Sub-Task "Create Category"
6. Choose from LOV for Flex Category "Product Categories".
7. Select Continue
8. Fill fields and select "Apply" butto

Displaying product information in registration buy page?

Our client wants to add a section in the checkout process for www.grounded.com that displays product information before the checkout process is complete. I already tried the tags used in the shopping cart page to try and display in the registration buy page and that doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get this to work, or is it just not possible?
For example:
The customer fills out their billing/shipping info, types in their credit card information, and sees their total amount. Before they click Submit and are redirected to the receipt page, they see a box on the registration buy page that says "You are about to purchase PRODUCTA and PRODUCTB for a total of TOTALPRICE. If this is correct, please submit your information and the checkout process will be complete."

Why would you? Don't let your client say how the flow should work.
That really is a bad user experience. The annoyance of it.
You can add images and elements to the cart layout if you like but when you add items in the cart you know what your buying. The cart the minimum I do is have the products link to their detail view and in the payment form it is all simple , clean and easy to fill in and the total and payment options are very clear.
So you know the total at the cart stage, you know the items and you get a final total also on the payment form.
To then show the person again is a bit much :)
Advise them it is a bad idea. Client is defiantly not always right. They may think it is a cool idea but it isn't :)
Presentation of everything else for the user experience is the thing to nail.

Multi language support for Product Information Management

Does Product Information Management support mutiple langauges and to what extent? For example, an Item Description can be entered for several language but can the user-defined attributes be entered for several languages?
Where can I find more documentation of the multi-language support of PIM?
We are on Advanced Product Catalog version 12.0.0.

Was able to do it by adding new files to the shared folder and updating the style in the lang folder to point to the new files.

Installation stalled at "Publishing Product Information" on Winows7 64 bit

I am trying to install itunes 10.6 64 bit on a windows 7 computer. The installer fails at the task "Publishing Product Information" and then returns with an error hresult:0x800736fd. I have no problems installing any other updates or applications. I have tried removing every instance of anything apple. All previous versions have all worked. I have updated C++.

Same here! This is the first version of iTunes with which that I've had this problem.
I running Windows 7 (64 bit) and I've definitely got the right version of iTunes.
I tried reparing it by right-clicking the installation program and saying 'Run as Administrator'. When I click the iTunes icon I get the following message in a dialog box:

Could you please try with some other product like HT-1000 and see, weather you are getting the same error or not.
And use the SAP GUI and created same opportunity.
Sometimes Web UI is behaving strangely.
Please let me know after creating the SAP GUI.

ITunes installation fails at Publishing Product Information

When installing Itunes 5.0.1.4 on Windows XP with SP2 the installation progresses until it reaches the Publishing Product Information stage, at which point the installer disappears without an error and nothing is installed. Help??

Using Assignment field or Segment field for adding product information

Hello people,
My costumer is using the new general ledger and wants too be able too add product information too FI postings. They have put their focus on using either the assignment field or the segment field (other options are not a possibility). Using the segment field will make profibility analysis easier because of existing reports. However, Iu2019ve heard of performance issues when the amount of segments used increases too say 50 or more. Does anyone have any experience with either 1 of these situations and or some good advice?

As you have mentioned, reflection error mostly occurs when there is a object type mismatch.
If it is of type object reference then try
newMember.getFieldMetadata("VENDOR_REF").set(newMember,vendorBean.getObjectReference());
Further, check if the vendor object enclosed in the collection member "newMember" and the vendor object "vendorBean" are of the same type.

Problem installing itunes, quicktime or anything else. Stuck at "Publishing Product Information" then error. Please help!

Dear apple community, I'm having trouble installing ANY apple programs, i.e. Quicktime, iTunes, Application support etc. The installer gets stuck at "Publishing Product information" and eventually gives me an error information. Please help! I desparately need to install quicktime atleast! I tried installing an old version but it says "install apple application support" or something along that matter. When I unrar'd itunes installer and tried installing just the application support, but that too got stuck at "Publishing Product information". This is making life very hard for me. Any help would be awesome!!

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 800736FD, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)

New factory motherboard missing product information

I am getting the runaround from everybody at HP on this subject. This includes the HP Parts store and the HP tech support people. I have read into this subject endlessly.
I purchased a factory NEW board (PN:657146-001, order #HPPS-140428-00201) directly from the HP Parts store and installed it into my Pavilion G6. The board installed fine and works great accept the error on boot "The following product information is missing or invalid" The board was simply never tatooed with the information and ever technician I talk to plays stupid when ou mention it to "tatoo" to them.
I have gone to the techcenter startup link to no avail so please do not waste both of our time by posting that as a solution
I have updated the BIOS, this does not correct the problem
I have tried programming in the information using nbdmifit.bat with all the correct information and the message is still produced.
I see many of you are having this problem like me, so it needs to be resolved.

Here is where I am currently at on this;
Weeks ago I was contacted by HP who requested a bunch of information from me which I returned to them promptly, to this day I have received no to this day.
SO
We have since contacted HP parts store again, argued with them again, and at least got them to admit there was a problem and they agreed to replace the board. The board has come in has been installed and has the IDENTICAL SYMPTOM. So I am back to square one with a board that needs tatooed correctly .
