Product name of ORACLE NT-Services?

I want to start a Oracle 8.0.4 instance from a CD. So I have to install the NT-Services for starting Oracle 8i. Can you help me to find the product name (or executable files) of NT-Services in nt.prd? It's possible to install only the NT-Services on the HD?

Did you try to test the connection via the JDBC connection test in the WLS Admin Console when creating it?

Hi all,
I have finally solved the problem, it seems somehow on my windows home premium I can't run the install script (on H:\ ) from the command line. I manually ran the batch script by double clicking on it, it ran fine and I was finally able to install ORE (server + supported + client) on my laptop. Now the connection -- followed through the manual, created user and granted all the roles. Now that I want to test the connection, I open R console and below are the input and output error message though it seems I can connect to the database:

Permission required to access oracle client service names

Hello,
I actually have a problem with accessing oracle client service names in Crystal.
The problem is:
I installed crystal reports 2008 and installed oracle client on a machine (I used an account that is a local administrator of the machine during installation) but the problem is that the users who are going to access crystal are standard users and they couldnu2019t access the services in oracle client and when they try to refresh the report they get the following error
"Failed to load database information. Details: the DB connector 'crdb_oracle.dll' couldn't be loaded. the correct version of the database client for this database type might not be installed"
I gave the users permission on the two folders (C:\program files \Common files \) and RegEdit : (C:\Windows \ System 32\) but the problem wasnu2019t solved so I made them local administrators and the problem was solved but I donu2019t want to make the users local administrators on the machine , some people told me that I have to install oracle client with the user who will be using crystal but the problem is that two users will be working on the machine not just one and they have two different accounts and when I tried to give the users full control permission on oracle folder , the problem wasnu2019t solved, So I wanted to know if any one faced a similar problem and how to solve it without making the users local administrators.

It appears you have everything installed and configured for Cr to work so it looks like it's a DB issue.
What do you see in the logs if you enable logging on the Server? Are your requests even getting to the Server from CR under the user account?
Test it using the admin and then the user account.
You could try checking on the option to use Trusted Authentication in the database log on windows of CR. This should pass the users PC log on credentials to the Server.

Thanks for clarifying the requirement and passing this on. I believe that you cannot currently add new warning messages to Fusion HCM SaaS.
Adding a new validation and resulting pop-up message would require either (a) ADF adjustments in JDev and an app redeploy or (b) Application Composer to add an object trigger/groovy script. Obviously there is no backend development for Fusion SaaS and App Composer is available for CRM products currently. I couldn't find anyway the standard Page Composer could have the capability to add new validation logic to the UI.
As you already mentioned in the other thread, if a validation and FND message already exists at that point, the text can be customized via the Manage Messages page in the FSM task.

i got the solution as below
removed below line from service xml

created another xml file for instance xml, where i specified the name of instance.

Please adivse how to use "Oracle Heterogeneous Services" to create a database link from Oracle to the Excel spreadsheet.

I can create the database link, but cannot retrieve data from source. (see 7.)

ORA-28545: .Unable to retrieve text of NETWORK/NCR message 65535... ORA-02063: previous 2 lines from EXCL

Oracle DBconsole service does not start

Hi,
Db 10g 2 on Win XP pro. When I want start Oracle DBconsole service , it does not start. I receive a message from windows to see the provider and says that error code is 2. When I look at event logs of windows it is said abnormal exit and event code is 4. Cosequently it is impossible to see DB control in Internet Explorer browser.

set ORACLE_SID=ORCL2
C:\Documents and Settings\> emctl stop dbconsole
OC4J Configuration issue. C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1/oc4j/j2ee/OC4J_DBConsole_LAPTOP-145_ORCL2 not found.
Actually I had C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1/oc4j/j2ee\LAPTOP-145.b-a-w.com_orcl. Then I should have create OC4J_DBConsole_LAPTOP-145_ORCL2.I created that and no more problem.
My question is where emctl look for this name OC4J_DBConsole_LAPTOP-145_ORCL2 ? In tnsnames.ora, in sqlnet. ora or some where else ? Thank you.

I want to access and query an excel file's data stored in my system in SQL PLUS using oracle Heterogenous Services. I am using 11g database

1. registering odbc DSN name as: cars Driver: Microsoft Excel Driver

i got the error, is there any mistake in the procedure i have done.. please help...
