Product specific prerequisite checks error
Hi,
I have installed oracle database 11g linux 64-bit which is 11.1.0.6 and i need to upgrade it into binary 11.1.0.7
so i have downloaded the patches 6890831 and 7829321 from metalink and i have unzipped it and proceeded to apply the patch 6890831
Then prerequitics checks has 1 error like this
Checking for Oracle Home incompatibilities...............
Actual Result: NEW_HOME
Check complete.the overall result of this is failed<<<<
But i have specified my oraclehome correctly
What to do
What to do is to post the full and complete log showing us the actual errors rather than just your impression of them.
The fact that you chose the correct ORACLE_HOME is not relevant to the message.
The installer looked at that home and found a problem that it will not ignore and you shouldn't either.

Bypass Prerequisits Check errors for packages
Trying to install 11gR2 on a Desktop PC with Debian 'squeeze' (ver. 6) OS . Installed all required packages suggested. However, am now stopped at the Prerequisite Checks mainly because all the package versions listed as errors (29 packages) are more current than those require by the install. I was hoping not to go back, download and install older versions of the packages. Is there a way to bypass these errors?

Is there a way to bypass these errors?Debian is not supported, its mean you could hit many error message during installation and also after installation, i suggest use OEL distro(free) instead of Debian

Any suggestions. I believe it has something to do with missing AD roles and features.
Server OS: Windows Server 2012 StandardMartina is correct.
And you may also want to re-evaluate installing onto the DC.

Hello,
I am getting "Migration active source hierarchy" error in the SCCM 2012 SP1 prerequisite checker on the CM 2012 primary site. The error says "There is an active hierarchy configuration for the migration. Please stop data gathering for each
source site in the source hierarchy." However, actually there is no migration source hierarchy configured and there are no migration jobs displayed in CM 2012 console. We used to configure this feature to migrate CM 2007 to current CM 2012 without service
pack two years ago and we have deleted these configurations.
In migmctrl.log, the following record is being generated every 60 minutes.

How about specifying a source hierarchy with the same name and password of the hierarchy before in the console, then click Clean Up Migration Data?

Error for customer specific Authorization check (User Exit)
Dear Experts,
I am facing a problem in PM.
I have created a maintenace plan for calibration via t code IP42 and mentioned the order type PM05. Scheduling is done for the order. I got the order number.
I have released the order and got the inspection lot number.
While entering the results recording through t code QE17, the reluts are out of the specified range, i have given the valuation Rejected, immediately system is giving an error message as below:
"Error for customer specific Authorization check (User Exit)"
Though there is no user exit activated in the system, this message is coming and not allowing the result recoring for rejection.
If I'm entering the result recording within the specified range, then valuation is Accepted and its allowing to save.
I have checked the following user exits:
QQMA0002: QM: Authorization Check for Entry into Notif. Transaction
QQMA0026: PM/SM: Auth. check when accessing notification transaction.
The above 2 User Exits are not active.
I have also checked a note 429066. But it says incase of any dump for that user exit only its applicable and more over the current version of the system is ECC 6.0 packae 15, where as that note is applicable upto 4.6C.
Please some one help me on this issue.
Thanks and Regards,
Praveen.Dear Pete,
I have cheked with my technical team, There is no hotpacks updated recently. This is the implementaion project I'm in, so performing the cycle for the first time.
Any how I got it solved, in T code QE17, after entering the Inspection lot in next screen goto menu path Settings - User settings - Defects recording mention the reprt type and tick on Reprt type Changable.
At the time of result recording if the valuation is Rejected then it ask for defects recording close that window if not rwequired then save, the error message no longer apperaing now.

Mass deleting product specific transportation lanes
I am trying to use MASSD transaction for mass deletion flag of T lanes. Can someone explain what component and attributes should I enter in selection criteria and components and attributes to be maintained?
I am doing product u2013 product in u201Cselection criteriau201D
Product u2013 block indicator in u201Ccomponents and attributes to be maintainedu201D
When I set fixed value to u201CDu201D and save, itu2019s giving me lot of warning and error messages. I doubt if I am using the right selection criteria
Example of error messages:
LANE (Product) : Time-based validities overlap
LANE (Means of Transport) : The validities of means of transportation XXXXX overlap
LANE (Product) : Product X does not exist in source location Y
ThxSatyajit,
I deleted the product from location Y and tried MASSD again, still it shos some errors.
Main error being
LANE (Means of Transport) : The validities of means of transportation XXXX overlap
what does this error mean? I cjhecked the vality for both product specific trans lane and means of transport. they both are same. even if I want to change it in change mode, its greyed out.
I just checked one more material and it did not show any error message. but when I go check in SCC_TL1, i dont see "D" set for that product. do u know why it did not carry over from massd? Thx -
Primary Site Deploy Prerequisite Check Failed
1. Symptom description: check failed
SQL instance when you run the Prerequisite Check SCCM 2012 for a new primary site.
2. Environment: My remote SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 CU6 and uses
a named instance called INST01 (SRV302 \ INST01). My server will be the primary site watch requirements (SRV501). I
have a VM to test that was used to ratify the SCCM 2012 R2 (vSRV210).This
VM had a primary site that was the basis of data in SRV302 \ INST01, this site has been removed by the Configuration Manager Setup wizard, he correctly remove the database SCCM 2012.
3. The
exact error message: When trying to run the installation of SCCM 2012 server SRV501, filling in as the database and SRV302.domain.com INST01 for instance, it shows the Prerequisite Check Failed one item as:
"Dedicated SQL Server instance: Configuration Manager requires a dedicated SQL Server instance to host excellant site database. You selected the SQL Server instance That site hosts the Configuration Manager
database for another site. Select a different SQL Server instance for this new site to use, or
resolve the conflict by uninstalling The Other excellant site or moving to a different database SQL Server instance. "
In the file ConfigMgrPrereq.log the message is the same:
srv501.domain.com; Dedicated SQL Server instance; Error; Configuration Manager requires a dedicated SQL Server instance to host its site database. You selected a SQL Server instance that hosts the site">"<05/03/2012 10:00:21>
srv501.domain.com; Dedicated SQL Server instance; Error; Configuration Manager requires a dedicated SQL Server instance to host excellant site database. You selected the SQL Server Instance That Hosts the site Configuration
Manager database for another site. Select a different SQL Server instance for this new site to use, or resolves the conflict by uninstalling The Other database excellant site or moving to a different SQL Server instance. "
4. Any
recent relevant configuration change (s): Only completely removed the test site that was with the database in SRV302 \ INST01, rebooted the server and tried to start the installation of the production site using the instance where it was before (no more no
database SCCM it).
5. Tech diagnosis history: Have you tried doing a restart of the server and
the instance of SQL without success. I did a test site to reinstall the test SCCM VM vSRV210, pointing
to the same instance and it works. But the production server 2012 SCCM has to be SRV501. You
can not create a new instance of the database only for the production site.
What can I do to install the SCCM 2012 instance that (SRV302 \ INST01)?
Is there a procedure for cleanup of an instance of SQL for SCCM 2012?
Is there any way to bypass this check in the SQL setup SCCM 2012?

It looks to be more permission issue rather than space issue. Ensure the file system where you copied the DVD has full permission.
Check the installation logs for more details on which other file system needs full permission and work accordingly.

User Exit/BADI for Production Order Availability Check
Hi PP experts,
Is there any user exit or BADI which can be used for Production Order Availability Check during order creation/release or while running collective availability check (COMAC) to include additional check conditions such as do not commit quantity (commitment qty = 0) if storage location for a component is missing in the production order due to storage location is not maintained/specified for that component in the material master.
Note: In this case the availability check is set (configured) to check at the storage location level.Dear ,

Oracle 11g R2 client installation on Windows 7 64 bit hangs after performing prerequisite checks
Windows 7 Professional SP1 64bit OS
6 GB RAM
380 GB free space
Extracted client to C:\Stage\win64_11gR2_client\client
Ran setup.exe as administrator, but the installation always hangs after step 5 of 7 is completed (Perform Prerequisite checks). Install log ends with entry "INFO: Get view named [SummaryUI]"
What am I missing here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SCCM 2012 R2 Prerequisite Check
Hello
I'm stuck with the installation of SCCM 2012 R2. I get stuck at the Prerequisite Check with the following errors:
1. SQL Server service running account
2. Required SQL Server Collation
3. SQL Server sysadmin rights
SQL 2012 SP1 is installed on the same Windows Server 2012 R2 server that I am trying to install the SCCM 2012 R2 on. I did not use the default instance name during the SQL 2012 SP1 setup and created a name myself. I have also applied SQL Server 2012 SP1
x64 CU9 before I proceeded with the SCCM 2012 R2 setup. I have put in credentials for a service account (Domain Admin) for the five SQL Services (SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Agent, SQL Server Browser).
Is it okay if I use the same service account for all 5 services? I have also turned off firewall and disabled the Windows Firewall Service. Why am I getting error number 1?.
I chose "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS" as server collation during SQL 2012 SP1 setup. If I go to Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and go to Server Properties, I can see Server Collation is "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS". Why am
I getting error number 2?
I have made the Service Account used for SQL Services, the account used to install SCCM 2012 R2 and also a local group on the same server which has the local computer account to "sysadmin" under Server Roles on Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
Why am I getting error number 3?
Can anyone help me out here please?Hi,
if you setup a named instance, have to configure SQL Server to listen on an static TCP port. (instead dynamic TCP port)
In SQL Server Configuration Manager, expand SQL Server Network Configuration, and then click Protocols for <instance_name>.
Expand Protocols for <instance_name>, and then click TCP/IP.
Right-click TCP/IP,
and then click Properties
In the IP Addresses tab, under IPAll, set TCP Port (1433).
