Product Variant Exclusion Table

Hi,
Using the T-code SE38 and with the Program RCU_EXCL_CHARACTERISTICS, if we select the characteristics which has to be excluded using selection of Configurable material charcteristics, after running this program, the characteristics those have been eliminated are also gets selected for Material Varaint .
Kindly solve this issue.

Product Variants in CRM from R/3

Hi Everybody,
As you know that Product variant in CRM is material variant in R/3. A material variant is created when the available item is in stock.
Scenario.
I created a configurable material 'KMAT' in the material master in R/3 system . In the basic data screen, I assigned a material variant for the material. Set the characteristics value for the material variant. Once pressed save. The Material record got automatically downloaded from R/3 to CRM.
Now I openend the transaction 'COMMPR01' and entered the material. I could not see in the tab 'Product variant' the material variant which was created in R/3.
1.Any Clue why the material variant did not get transfered to CRM from R/3.
2. Which CRM table and which CDB table has data regarding Product variants.
CRM experts could you please share your knowledge with me.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hi Jothi,
Just double check these steps :
1. You have created Knowledged base Object in R/3
(tcode CU31 - CU33)
2. You have created Knowledged base runtine in R/3
(tcode CU34 - CU35)
Make sure that VALID FROM information in Knowledge Base Object must be greater than VALID FROM in Material Class.
3. Re-download material ID (if necessary)
4. Re-download SCE Object in CRM
If all steps above successfully run without any
error/warning message, you should be able see Tab Configuration + Variant in CRM Master Data (COMMPR01).
You can see also the Configuration Model in Configuration
Tab (where you can simulate the characteristic
configuration).

When I go through SM30, I find a radio button called variant. I don't know the effect.
Can anyone tell me how to create variant for table / view ?

Whenever you start a program in which selection screens are defined, the system displays a set of input fields for database-specific and program-specific selections. To select a certain set of data, you enter an appropriate range of values.
For further information about selection screens, refer to Selection Screens in the ABAP User's Guide.
If you often run the same program with the same set of selections (for example, to create a monthly statistical report), you can save the values in a selection set called a variant
Procedure
To create a new variant:
       1.      On the ABAP Editor initial screen, enter the name of the program for which you want to create a variant, select Variants, and choose Change.
       2.      On the variant maintenance initial screen, enter the name of the variant to be created.
Note the naming convention for variants (see below).
       3.      Choose Create.
If the program has more than one selection screen, a dialog box for screen assignment appears. The dialog box does not appear if the program only has one selection screen. The selection screen appears in this case.
       4.      If there is more than one selection screen, select the screens for which you want to create the variant
5.      Choose Continue.
The (first) selection screen for the report appears.
If your program has more than one selection screen, use the scroll buttons in the left-hand corner of the application toolbar to navigate between them and to fill the fields with values. If you keep scrolling forwards, the Continue button appears on the last selection screen.
       6.      Enter the desired selection values, including multiple selection and dynamic selection.
       7.      Choose Continue.

How to maintain variant in table RSRPARAMETRIZA?

Dear Experts,
I have to maintain variant in table RSRPARAMETRIZA via ABAP Program. Some thread in SDN advice the class CL_RSR_PARA but I don't know how to use this class to update the field "Content of Variant" in table RSRPARAMETRIZA.
Please tell me the class or function that can update the variant?

Also, a table control wizard in Screen Painter(SE51) exists, which takes you step by step through the Table Control generation and also creates code, so you can start using the Table Control right away.
You can either specify a database table, or use an internal table from program.
If you want to use internal table, it needs to be predefined in your program, before you start creating the table control.

I want to maintain Variants for a product in CRM using commpr01,
How do i maintain the variants to a product?
when i open the commpr01 and select a Product Category and flag material as Configurable,
the product Opens with new Tab pages 1.Configuration 2.Product Variants,
But i donot see any Maintainance available there..
How can i maintain the Variants ..

Hi Arshad,
For Variants you need to have ERP system as an backend as CRM standalone or Products created in CRM dont allow a Variant assignment for the Same.
If you are having an Backend ERP system you assign a Variant to the Base article and Dowload the same in CRM which shall appear as variant of the Main article in Relationship Tab.

As pricing table starts with 'A' as usage for picing like that listing & exclusion usage is 'G' but how all exclusion table starts with 'KTOG'?

First, switching the drive on and off should not have any effect (excecpt maybe a few stray encoder counts) switching the controller on and off is what will cause you to lose track of position.
One posible solution is to use an anolog feedback rather than an incremental quarature encoder. With analog feedback your postion is absolute rather than rleative.
The other solution is to move to a known location. This is done by using either a home or a limit switch. Take a look at:Home and Index in Motion Control.

I want to initialy download condition exclusion tables from ERP to CRM , I added exclusion tables :T684 ,T684G,T684S , T684T
to my condition customizing object, all monitors are green but CRM tables are still empty,
How can I download those tables?

Hi Rika,
I think there is a standard adapter object avaialble for this. In CRM go to transaction SE16, put table name SMOFTABLES, here you will find a field R3TABNAME.
Put the R/3 tables names in this selection criteria and execute. You will come to know the standard Adapter object name.

For this Product category I need to create a table level search help. So I need to know the SRM table used for Product category.
Could any suggest me any table name or search help or FM that will display the list Product Category .

Group by category to get category & a count of products on Proudcts table?

I am trying to get a list of categories with a count of products that match a certain keyword, using a Progressive search. So, if my keyword is u201Chatu201D and there are 1,500 products that match that keyword in 3 different categories, I just want 3 records back with a count of the number of products for that category. Hereu2019s an example:
Search term: u201Chatu201D
Result that I want to get is:
Category: Number of Products Matching Keyword
Safety Signs: 1,400
Disposable masks: 45
APR Masks, Cartridges & Filters: 55
Total: 1,500 products in 3 categories
Note that I do not want to search the Categories table. I need to search the Products table. If this was SQL, the query would like this:
SELECT Category, COUNT(Category) AS NumberOfProducts
FROM Products
WHERE (dbo.Products.KeywordField1 LIKE u2018%u2019 + @SearchTerm + u2018%u2019) OR
(dbo.Products.KeywordField2 LIKE u2018%u2019 + @SearchTerm + u2018%u2019)

Screen Variant for table control in FB60

Hi ,
I need to create variant to show Quantity and Base Unit of Measure columns in the table control which is available at the first screen of FB60 . I tried using the option screen variant - > create variant. i couldnt see the options of colmuns properties for table control on click that small icon available at the right conner. Pls guide.

In transaction SHD0 you need to create a new variant.
After that you will be taken into FB60.
Press Enter as if you are trying to process vendor invoice. It will take you to a screen "Screen values 1100 Program SAPMF05A"
There you will have 3 columns Output only, Invisible and Mandatory.
Select as you want.
Just try out carefully, you will be able to get the desired result.
It is very difficult to guide you in details.
Please let me know if you face any problems.

Function module for Production order update (Table AFKO)

Hello All,
I know similar subject has been posted but please read the following.
SAP 4.6c doesn't provide BAPI for production order update.
We did develop an ABAP program that update production order and schedule it in a job.
We are looking of avoiding direct update in table AFKO which our program do right now.
We looked (with SE37) at either BAPI or FM to pass parameters to a functioin that would perform that update and ensure data integrity.
CO_ZV_ORDER_POST seems interesting but is also using a lot of parameters and we have diffiulties to test it and understand it our dev team being fairly new.
Can somebody tell us how to use this function or tell us another FM that could be used. (ie passing internal table content (New fields values) and a key value (AUFNR)) to update table AFKO and related objects/tables

Defining Selection variables for program variant, TVARV table Help - urgent

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me, what is the transaction to create new variables in table TVARV to use them in my variant for fiscal year and WIP period fields in selection screen of SAPKKA07 program.I used STVARV and it creates variables in table TVARVC table not in TVARV table and moreover in creating a variant the selection variables are defaulted as variables from TVARVC table as input help but not the variables in TVARV table however I see and understand different from SAP Help. I know we can create the variable that way but, that is something hardway to do it. I want to go about it from transaction not meaning to update the table directly and moreover if I update the TVARV table directly as u said I still dont see the variable I created in the list I get on input help for selection variables while creating a program variant.

There are many tables / structures used in product costing by SAP. The primary being:
KEKO - Product Costing - Header Data
KEPH - Product Costing: Cost Components for Cost of Goods Mfd
Between these, you should be able to find cost component values for all your materials.
However, if you are looking at customizing tables, look at TCK*.
There are still more tables out there - e.g., for costing run (KAL*), for material ledger, for unit costing (CKIS, CKIP, CKKS). Have fun exploring.
Remember to assign points if found useful.
