Production date updation in batch (REM)

Hi Experts,
Is there any standard procedure available to update Production date in batch header from backflushing (Date of Manufacture). Batches are created manually through MSC1N.
Regards

Julfikar,
Please ensure that you are using Standard batch characteristics "LOBM_HSDAT" to the batch class what is assigned to the material. Also check in transaction OMCV whether for movement type 131 batch classification is active.

  • Wrong Production Date Copied in Batch Master during GR of STO

    Hi Gurus,
Currently, we are facing an issue that the batch master was created wrongly in the following process:-
STO >      Goods Issue of Mat A - Batch 1234 from Plant A >     Goods Receipt of Mat A - Batch 1234 to Plant B
    Batch 1234 -Plant A
    Production Date: - 02.04.2010
Shelf Life Exp. Date: -  15.05.2010
During GR into plant B, we noticed that the batch master is created with wrong data:-
Production Date was copied wrongly into Shelf Life Expiration Date. Whereas the Shelf life Expiration Date become the production date?
    Batch 1234 -Plant B
    Production Date: - 15.05.2010
Shelf Life Exp. Date: -  02.04.2010
May I know this happened? Hope to get advice from you all. Thanks!
    Mi

this looks pretty much like an error in a user exit that is supposed to copy batch data from one plant to another plant.
I guess your batch level is plant level, in thise case a batch A in plant 1  can be totally different from a batch A in plant 2. hence mayn companies that do not want to switch to a different batch level, implement user exits to control how data gets copied.

  • Production date in inbound delivery in batch split

    Hi,
I have a issue with production date update in inbound delivery.
I have created a inbound delivery for 10 PC. The inbound delivery has only one line item and there are no batch details on it. As soon as the inbound delivery is created a message is sent to the 3PL . Once the 3PL receives the goods from vendor he send us a message with the batch details. Say the 3PL has received multiple batches from the vendor. So he send us back an SHPCON message with multiple batch details. That  is batch A with QTY 6 and batch B with QTY 4. He also send us the production date for each batch via the shpcon idoc. say batch A has production date as 10.02.2011 and batch B has production date as 21.03.2011.
The IDOC is created successfully in our system and the inbound delivery is also updated correctly with the batch split details with correct QTY. That is line item 10 has batch split line items 900001 with batch as A and QTY as 6 and line item 900002 with batch as B and QTY as 4. The issue is only with updation of date of production for each of the above batch. Both batch A & B are updated with date of production as 21.03.2011. Instead of batch A being updated with date of production as 10.02.2011 it is updated with the batch B date of production. I checked in the idoc. In the idoc each batch has correct production date. only when updating the inbound delivery it has updated wrongly..   Has any one come across similar kind of situation. ? How did u manage it?
    Ram

I found out the issue and the approriate changes has been made in the message handling

  • Warehouse stock with production date of batch

    Hello,
Can somebody tell me any report where user can see warehouse stocks along with production date of a batch. User wants to do FIFO while doing inventory transactions. And user wants to first transfer oldest produced batch first.
    Please suggest.

    Hi Sudhir,
Thanks for your response. LX02 shows only GR date for quant- for certain quant GR date is updated as todays date if some stock transaction is done for that quant.
    User wants report
He will then be able to move oldest stock based on production date.  Example quant has GR date as 24th Feb 2011. But its production date is 24th Feb 2010. So ideally this stock should be moved in FIFO method based on production date.
To summarise, I require standard SAP report  stock in LX02 as well as production date/receiving date of a batch in quant.

  • Controlling batch production date when using PI sheets

    Hello,
The batch production date for some products is first entered at process order release. However, the GR is done using PI sheets. The GR entry via PI sheets takes the current date as the manufactured date and overwrites the old batch production date in the batch
Does anyone out there know if there is a way to control this so that old production date is not overwritten with the GR entry date?
    many thanks.

    Dear,
For this you need to use the setting..Batch classification in foreground for the movement type. Do the setting in OMJJ.
    Coem back after you try.

  • Production date in mm/yyyy format at MIGO

    Hi All,
I am doing MIGO for a purchase order and entering the production date for a batch managed material. I have noticed that if I enter the date in format mm/yyyy i.e 10/2010 then the date is interpreted as 10/20/2010. Is there a way I can force it to accept and enter production date in mm/yyyy format only.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi ,
In users profile own data , System - user profile - own date , in the default tab you can change the values of the same .
Else if you have authorizations then you can use the T code SU01 to make the changes in defaults tab.
Select the format in which you intend to enter the data , please remeber that in case of batch management you need to give - date/month/year - you simply cant give month and year .
    Hope this helps .

  • Send production date by Idoc

    Hi,
What is the (best-practice) Idoc message to send the production date (from the batch - MSC3n) to the customer? Is there a standard solution?
I tried to use the QCERT message, but there is only the shelf-life date, but I would like to send the production date.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi,
My understanding is that LOIPRO is used to send Production Orders to external systems. But we have to send this information to the customer and if possible we want to include the information in an existing message (QCERT or DESADV).
Has anybody experiences in this? How did you implement this?
    Thanks,
    Thomas

  • Batch management - Shelf life and Production date

    Hi All,
I am working with batch management where i did all the setting of characterestics, Batch class and neccessary settings. i am working with three characterestics shelf life expiration, production date and last goods reciept.
I have to active shelf life and production date in Migo screen so that at the time of recieving my characterestics can store data. kindly help in customizing setting
    Thank you in advance
    Majid

    Hi,
You need to activate shelf life expiration check in T.Code OMJ5 for movement type 101 and also plant.
This will activates the entry of Shelf Life expiration/Production Date at the time of goods receipt.
If you are using std. SAP Characteristic (LOBM) for Manufacturing Date,Best Before Date and Goods Receipt Date then the value of this characteristic will updates automatically in Batch ,depends on your goods receipt data.

  • User-exit to update material component in a production order with a batch

I am looking for a solution to update a production order material component with a batch number what is stored in the configuration of a sales order. The production order is defined for salesorder related production. How can I update the field RESBD-CHARG in the production order.
Tried already the exits PPCO0001, PPCO0008, PPCO0021. Also looked for a solutions with batch search stratgegies, but I have no idea kind of possiblities I have here. Other problem is that we are stil on release 4.7.
Hopefully some can help me with a solution.
    Regards,
    Peter Geurts

    Dear
You have to update the batch in a production order component via RFC Call of BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN.You should also pass operation number to T_COMPONENT and T_COMPONENT_UP
    T_COMPONENT-ACTIVITY = Operation Number
You need to pass the following tables
    IT_METHODS should have 2 values
    Refnum - '000002'
    Objecttype - 'COMPONENT'
    Method - 'CHANGE'
    Objectkey - 300054 (Prefix the zero's)
    Append IT_METHODS
    Method - 'SAVE'
    Append IT_METHODS
T_COMPONENT should have the following values
RESERV_NO - Reservation number ( you can see in production order)
RES_ITEM - Reservation item ( you can see in production order)
BATCH - populate the required value
    APPEND T_COMPONENT
T_COMPONENT_UP should have the following values
    BATCH - 'X'
    APPEND T_COMPONENT_UP
Or else look at BAPI 'BAPI_MATERIAL_GETBATCHES'. This might help you.....
    CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_MATERIAL_GETBATCHES'
    EXPORTING
    material = MATERIAL
    BATCHNUMBER =
    plant = PLANT
    expirydatefrom = DATE
    Hope this will be useful

  • Next inspection date is not updated in batch / prposed at the time of UD

    Hi
I have configurted the system for retest of batches, the system successfully creates the inspection lot but when does not propose next inspection date at the time of UD nor it updates in Batch Master.
I entered inspection interval days in QM View, the system entered the first inspection date correctly. Also Batch Restriction is working properly.
    Kindly help.
    regards
    Mobashir

    Hi Shaymal & VRMP
I have checked the system, the only problem I am facing is that the system does not show next inspection date dialog box at the time of UD where I can see the next inspection date being set by the system
Say, I use QA07 (Triggered Manually) on 19.jan.08. The Next inspection date was 26.jan.08 and Initial Run in Days was 10 (days), the system created inspection lot on 19.jan.08 successfully. At the time of UD it automatically set 29.jan.08 as the next inspection date (i.e. 19.jan.08 + 10 days)  istead of 06. Feb.08 (i.e. 26.jan.08 + 10 days) without showing dialog box / suggesting next inspectino date.

  • Error - Update Product Data in Solution Manager

    Hello,
We are currently downloading the Enhancement Package 4 in SOLMAN via Maintenance Optimizer, however, after choosing the Technical Usages in step 2.1, it shows an error in step 2.2 (Select OS/DB Dependent Files):
Error : Update Product Data in Solution Manager
Has anyone encountered the same problem? Would it be fine to continue on the next step after selecting the files which you need for your operating system-database combination.
Any information is highly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Jaypee,
Check guide How-To Install EHP4- A practical guide. Solution of this problem is documented there. you can download it from http://service.sap.com/erp-ehp
Extract from this guide for this problem:
Make sure that you update the product data in SAP Solution Manager. This is described in SAP Note 1277035 which is referenced from the collective SAP Note 1122966. If you do not update the product data, you might get an error message after the stack calculation. The message text explains the problem in more detail.
    Thanks

  • Manufacturing date updation

    Hi,
We are using Discreete manufacturing in our SAP system. Currently we are implementing SAP one of our foundry unit. They wants to enter the Manufacturing date at the time of Production confirmation screen. In repetetive system, Tcode MFBF, manufacturing date is availble. But we are using CO11N for confirmation. In that Screen, Dates header is availbe. The Start executin date & Finish execution date field is available.
I want to know, whether i can use this filed for Manufacturing date updation.
    Regards
    R Vaithiyanathan

    Hi ,
You can bring LOBM_HSDAT characterisitc using BMSM traxn. Assign this Char in Batch class of finished material.
CO11n( If you have selected auto goods receipt)  or MIGO on production order will update MCH1--> HSDAT field.
You can pullout from table/ batch master data.
    Hope it helps,
    Jatin

  • SLED /Manufacture date update.

    Hi Gurus
We have some issue in  SLED . Production  done and batch is upadate with manufacture date and expiry date. later this was stock tranfered to other plant ( Australia) having received a batch in Australia & updated the manufacture date & expiry date correctly,  a quantity of the same sku/batch was, one month later received in India and when they performed the receipt (MIGO transaction) entered  different Manufacture date / expiry date, which has apparently updated the dates on the batch details in the Australian plant.
Actually, while doing the MIGO this is update manually, so the the batch is tagged to the wrong expiry date.
Is it possble to control this from manual override, to control the wrong entry.
    Santha

No.  The receivers need to be trained that if they receive batch from another plant, and it is an SAP batch, they should not update it.  They are provided warnings at the time of receipt that the batch already exists which should clue them in.  In addition, the manufacture date from Australia should have been correct and the expiration date would be correct anyway.  So I would be more concerned about, and inquiring as to how, where and why they got the manufacture date they used instead.  Having a mfg. date, and hence the expiration date of a batch is a very serious issue and violation of most company procedures, not to mention of regulatory and customs agencies.
I'm sure there is probably a user exit that can used to check the data before saving.  You should check with a purchasing person to check the available user exits for MIGO if you want to go that route.

  • Batch data transfer from batch classification to inspection lot.

    Hi Gurus,
My client requirement is that the results he enters in batch classification should get transfer to inspection lot in QM.The results in batch classification will be maintained by prod. person.
These results should be visible in QM lot and Q.M person should be able change these results and these changed results should get reflected in Batch classification.
    for eg.
Production person will enter width in batch classification. for eg 1200mm.This value should be visible to QM person in QM lot and it should be modifiable and if modified by QM person(for eg 1300 mm) , the changed value should be updated in batch classification.
Is this scenario possible in std. SAP and if possible pls. provide the information as early as possible.
    thanks in advance.

My guess is your having a production person perform an in-process test themseleves or entering in a vendor provided value for the characteristic.
Why not just set up a separate operation in the inspection plan for the production person?  Set up a workcenter for the operation and do security at that level so the production person can only record against his/her workcenter.
Create a second operation for the lab with there own workcenter.  Make the characteristic required for the production operation and optional on the lab operation.
Allow the lab access to both workcenters.
The lab can now review any data enterred by production, and if necessary, record a new value in there own operation.
The UD copies the last recorded result to the batch, (std SAP).
