Production Order in In-Active Version

Hi All,
Need your expert help...
I have a production order for Assembly product (say A1). In this order, under component view, we have component (say C1).
in MD04 for C1..,
a) I see the dependent requirement
I created a simulated version such that it considers the firm receipts from active version.
Now, in MS04 for C1,
a) I see the dependent requirement.
My requirement is to remove the depenent reuirement in active version, but to retain the dependent requiremnt in in-active version.
How to do that..?
As of now, when i remove the component from Production order, its impacting both my active and in-active versions (ie., its kicking off component in both MD04 & MS04)

Hi,
There could not be a simulative dependent requirement for a production order. What you can do is to create an independent requirement in the version which your LTP scenario supports, and simulate the dependent requirement in active version.

Revaluation of Production Order

Hi,
Revaluation of Production order.
I am trying to revaluate the production order with actual activity price. Done KBK6 to enter manually to update the actual price. MFN1 is done to revaluate the order. But Actual activity value not changed in Production order.
Activity type property : - price indicator 1, Actual price indicator 7.
ML activation : option 1, selected ( update price but not relevant for price determination)

Check your Plan Version OKEQ - Version 0 > CLick on Settings for Each Fiscal year > Select current fiscal year
Go to PRICE CALCULATION Tab
Check if you allowed REVALUATION.. (Select "Own Business Transaction")

Active version in work center

Hi Gurus,
We have maintained various versions in SPRO under production-basic data-work center-capacity planning-active version of available capacity.
For a particular main work center we enter the active version in capacity header tab in the work center.
If I create a maintenance work order for that particular work center then
Do this active version gets copied to maintenance order ? ( currently it is not getting copied )
Do we have settings where in we can make this as a default value in maintenance order ? ( whatever set in work center will be copied to maintenance order )
My client have to enter version in every maintenance order created. The quantum is very large.
So client would like to have this active version copied from work center to maintenance order, like wise master data from an equipment gets copied to notification or order while being created.
Kindly reply at the earliest.

In standard SAP there is no field in maintenance order operation or order that captures Active version of Work Center capacity .., In which field ur currently entering manually ?
If u have defined any custom field in order operation to capture this data , then try to use user exit : IWO10016 PM Order: Cust. enhancement to check operation user fields to get this data automatically in Order operation from work center ..

BAPI/FM for Confirmation of Production order at operation level

Hi ABAPers,
I am using the 'BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_ACT'for Confirmation of Production order at operation level.
I am able to pass the Production order number and Active Operation get the confirmation done.
But the Confirmed Qty is not being updating in AFKO table.
The 'BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_HDR' cannot be used for Confirmation of Production order at operation level as there is no Operation/Activity(Vornr) field in the input table. Hence using this bapi confirmation of Prod order can be only at Order level.
Can someone know any FM/BAPI which can be used for the Confirmation of Production order at operation level(not order level).

Please use FUNCTION 'BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT'.
This will work as like as T/Code "CO11".

Revaluation of Activity type is not getting updated in Production Order

Hi,
I have run KSII , for actual activity price calculation. After this , the revalution of production orders was done.
But I am not finding any entry in Production order with a value of variance between Actual Price and Plan Price of the Activity type.
It sould come in the production order.
What can be the reason?
In OKEQ, for the Version '0' and the fiscal year, Revaluation has the entry ' 1.Own Business Transaction'. I hope this is correct.
But still the revalaution line item is not showing in Production Order.
Please help.

Yes, MFN1 ran perfectly and I am also able to see the details in the screen.
My concern is, this revaluation should also have affect on Production order, thats what not happening.
Or let me know where can I see the affect of revaluation on Production orders.

Creating Production Order with wrong production version

Hello Expert,
please provide me answer and solution to resolve our problem regarding creation of production order (CO01 and CO41), because SAP provide and propose production version which have alternative BOM which is status 02 (inactive) already it is not picking the production version which has active alternative bom for our finished material. it is allowing the production to be created even the bom was inactive.
please help us to this it still bugging our system

Hi Ryan,
Production version will be selected based on the field Selection Method field in Material Matser MRP 4 view.
1 Selection by explosion date
2 Selection by production version
3 Selection only by production version
If the selected field value is 1 , then system selects the version based on the validity dates i.e whichever production version is active on that day that will be considered in MRP.
If the selected field value is 2 by production version. Then system will select the First Prodution version mentioned in the Material Master MRP 4 View (production version Tab).
If the selected field value is 3 always only by production version. Then system will select the First Prodution version mentioned in the Material Master MRP 4 View (production version Tab).
So to address you query I suggest you to delete the production version PV1 with BOM 01 and Make production version PV2 will be available and active in seen as the first production version in teh screen.
Then for your inof purpose you want have the PV1 then re-create it as second version in the Version tab screen.

Which is the version in which we need to maintain the product allocation (MC94).

My doubt is if you look in to transaction MC94 , we have two tabs one u201CActive versionu201D and other u201CInactive versionu201D.
When I maintained product allocation in Active version u201CA00u201D and executed the sales order product allocation is not happening. And then I tried to maintain the allocation under Inactive Version u201C000u201D then executed the sales order. Now the product allocation is happening and even the structure is getting updated after saving the sales order. So I need to under stand under which version we need to maintain the allocation so that allocation functionality will work during sales order creation.

Activity price not getting updated at Production order

Hi All,
I have made activity dependent planning at cost centre and calculated the activity rate. The activity rate is showing correctly for the cost centre in KP26, but while confirming the production order (CO11N) the the activity price is not getting updated in production order. But material price is getting properly updated at production order.
Plz help me in identifying the possible areas of mistakes.

Hi,
Please check the Period for which you have created the ht activity price is same as the period in the conformation. In the workcenter in which you are confirming please check whether the activities are assigned to the work center.

when ever you want to see the table or field name u just click F1 where the data entred field and click on technical button which is screwdriver type icon and u can find out the table name and field names.

Transacciu00F3n MFN1 - Error KA465: Production order with an actual activity up

I am executing transaction MFN1 with "Update of Activity Consumption in the Quantity Structure" = 2 and the following error ocurrs: "KA465 Production order with an actual activity update.".
I changed the customizing "Update of Activity Consumption in the Quantity Structure" to "Activity update not relevant to price determination", after this I exectuted transaction MFN1 again and the error didn't occur.
I need to understand what is the impact of changing this customizing, and if I set the "Update of Activity Consumption..." equal 2, the activity actual values are revaluated in the CKM3N? If the answer is yes, in what point of the CKMLCP this value is revaluated?.

Hi,
please check CKM9 for the relevant plant how you define the Activity update. Please note KA465 is justified to avoid posting the credits and debits twice if the indicator is '2'.
If you are using activity update '2', the differences between planned and actual activity prices are not distributed to the orders but via multilevel price determination directly to the materials.
The system determines the actual prices by means of the multi-level price determination in the actual calculation.
In the actual calculation, the system also already debits the materials and credits the cost centers or vice versa.
In this case, the revaluation must not be executed because otherwise the system posts the debits and credits twice. In this case, the system ought to display error message KA465.
Note 686588 explains under what circumstances error KA465 may be raised, that is, if you have activated Material Ledger/Actual Costing with Activity Consumption '2'. Please check your Material Ledger settings in relation to note 686588.
If you use activity update '1' then revaluation is done via the orders and no longer via Material Ledger.

Activity is calculated on Production Order Quantity based .

Hi Experts,
My requirement is Planned Activity cost should be calculated based on Production order Quantity. and not on timing mentioned in Routing.
For Example- My PO Quantity is 10 - and activity assigned rate is 1 then = 10 RS is my planned activity Price
IF PO quantity is 1 then planned Activity Price is 1 RS

Create an Activity Type and assign in work center / Routing... Keep the Activty Qty same as Base Qty in Routing....
if you create Prod Order for 10, system would automatically propose Qty as 10.... Assign a fully variable formula in the work center to this activity
Then maintain a price for this n KP26

When i m creating Production order(sta- 81 Planned order to Production order) Planned price is not showing after saving / release of order also activity price is not showing.
Check the OPL8 setting , For activity Price is mentioned in KP26 , Costing -CK24, CK11N is done ,

How to avoid actual cost error log while confirm production order activity

I dont want to post actual activity cost via production order activity confirmation. But i want standard value keys for my production duration purpose. So,i defined activites(strd value key) in work center without assigning cost center to that work center. While i confirm in CO11N, system throws erro log as Actual cost calculation contain errors and allows me to confirm the activities. I am doing MB31 and all CO settlement activities also. But when i try to close the order it says error log exists,so closing of order is not possible. How to overcome this problem as i dont want to capture any cost of activites via production order,but i want confirmation only for production analysis.

SAP Production order TECO double status - active & inactive

Hi,
I have a question, please advise, if I need to be worried on this,
TECO job ran and put in a TECO status on the production order on 31/1/2015
CLOSE job ran and put in CLSD status on the production order on 02/1/2015
But when I see the production order hear - Status change, i see in the TECO section two entries - Active and Inactive. The date on the Active is the actual date when the TECO job ran and the date on the Inactive is the date when the CLOSE job ran.
Any insight into why the system shows this way. thank you

This is correct process, no need to worry.
The active status was TECO. You can see your REL status was made Inactive on that day.(31/1).
When you closed the order, TECO became inactive and superior status CLOSE became active.

Actual activity price calculation for production order

Can any one guide me in how many ways we can assign actual activity price calculation for production order?
I knew only one way by assigning PPP2 costing variant?
I have another doubt is: if we don't mention any material valuation indicator (moving average, standard) in valuation variant, how system will calculate material prices? is there any other way, to recognize the prices by system?

Costing variant PPP2 is linked to some valuation variant inn OPL1
System will check the valuation of material and activity according to this valuation variant
For material valuation there are many stg acceding to which system will take the price the raw material,
Valuation strategy for material component
Strategy sequence that determines the valuation of the materials used in the cost estimate.
Use
The materials are valuated using the price in the material master record or the values calculated in a material cost estimate.
Procedure
You can enter a single strategy, or you can enter multiple strategies in the form of a strategy sequence. If you enter multiple strategies, the priority of the strategy determines what price or what values are selected.
Examples
Assume that the following strategy sequence is entered for material valuation:
1. Planned price 1
2. Standard price
3. Moving average price
If the system finds a value in the Planned price 1 field (costing view), this value is taken as the value for valuating the material.
If the system does not find a value, the value in the Standard price field (accounting view) is used.
If the material does not have a standard price, the system uses the value from the Moving average price field.
if you have not mentioned, then system will give error that "valuation stg not found"
Valuation strategy for internal activities and processes-
Strategy sequence that determines how internal activities and processes are valuated in costing.
Use
The activities and business processes used are valuated with the prices from Cost Center Accounting or Activity-Based Costing to determine the production costs or process costs. The prices can either be calculated iteratively through price calculation, or entered manually by the user.
Procedure
You can enter either a single strategy or more than one strategy in the form of a strategy sequence. If you enter more than one strategy, the priority of the strategy determines which price is selected.
Examples
The following strategy sequence is entered:
1. Actual price of the previous period
2. Plan price of the previous period
3. The most current plan price
If the system finds a price for the activity type, this price is used for valuating the internal activities. If no price was calculated for the previous period, the plan price from the previous period is used to valuate the activity type.
If the system cannot find a plan price for the previous period, it looks for a future plan price, using the next price in the posting period to valuate the internal activities. For example, if plan prices have been entered for periods 2 and 3, and a plan price is calculated in period 1 for period 4, the system uses the price from period 3 in accordance with the valuation strategy Most up-to-date plan price.
Again if you have not mentioned, then system will give error that "valuation stg not found".
You can use any costing variant for actual (PPP2)and planned(PPP1) according to your requirement.. check in OPL1
