Production Order in Repetitive Manufacturing

Hi All,
We are using REM scenarios. But we need to use the Production order for some material in the same plant where we are already using REM.
Is it possible to use both Discrete and REM for the same material but at different periods? Using Discrete for some period and switching over to REM. Is there is anyway to use the above mentioned scenario.
Kindly suggest.
Regards,
Sureshbabu G.

Hi,
As we know that In Repetitive Manufacturing, components are often staged at the production line without reference to a particular order.
To create the demand program again for your production order, you must define the planning strategy for a product. Planning strategies represent the methods of production for planning and manufacturing or procuring a product. and run the scenario accordingly.

  • Evaluation Structure for Production Order and Repetitive Manufacturing

    Dear PP friends,
I am trying to create a Evaluation Structure with reference to an Evaluation Structure (t-code MCR7). I need to join the Standard Evaluation Structures S021 (Production Order) and S026 (Material Usage), but S021 is not appearing to choose characteristics and key figures.
    Does anyone have suggestions?
My requirement is to create a report where I can see goods receipt x goods issues per order.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Order type for planned order in repetitive manufacturing

    hi
In repetitive manufaturing there is no prodcutiion order
planned order only. so i want know what is order type  for repetitive manufacturing
In configuration order type for  reptitive is required or not   if  yes  then how will define order type ,where
In Discrete order type will define to control  prodution order
like that i want know details about order type in repetive manufature
    ravikumar

    HI
Planned order in REM is of PE type thar s non convertible in PO and also these planned orders are assigned to PVs thru Planning table and the Confirmation is done agianst these planned orders.

  • Production orders in Batch manufacturing

    Hi,
    Please consider this scenario
X, Y ,Z .... are the  production orders for which operations 0010,0020 are completed.
For production orders X,Y,Z operations 0010,0020 are not same.
The third operation is batch managed in which X,Y,Z... are to be included.(ex special coating) and to be managed with batch number A for tracking purpose in future.
and once 3rd operation is over they will go individually for different operations .
    How to map this
    Thanks in advance
    Sandeep

    Thank you....
X, Y , Z are different production orders for different materials(Eg A,B,C), It may be possible that we may include some more production orders to reach required batch quantity.
and I want to add some more information
The operation 0030 is done using different recipe P,Q,R( dont mistake with PPPI recipe), if it is done with recipe P then end product will become AP,if with Q then AQ,if with R then AR similarly BP,BQ,BR,CP,CQ,CR.

  • Pick List - Planned Orders in Repetitive Manufacturing

    Hi All,
Business Process: Cut Planned orders ( No production line, No Routing, No Work Centers). Production done and then these Planned Orders are backflushed.
Any of you have any idea on how to generate pick list to stage material for these planned orders?
I know that Production orders can easily be configured to print automatic pick lists but not planned orders. I have been working my heart out to find a solution but couldnot.
    Thanks in advance!
    Siva

    Hi Siva,
I think action control should work good for your scenario,
In customizing SPRO->Production->MRP->Planning->Procurement Proposals->Planned orders->Action for Planned orders--->Define action control.
    <b>Define Action Control</b>
In this workstep, you define the actions that are allowed for the action control function and the sequence in which the system is to carry out the actions. An action can be followed by several other actions and it can also be preceded by several actions.
    <b>Activities</b>
Define the action control. To do this, define a key and the actions that are allowed and which subsequent actions can follow certain actions.
    <b>Example</b>
The key 01 is defined. The following actions are to be allowed for this key
    BOME (explode BOM)
NEMA (check material availability without BOM explosion)
    PRNT (print component list)
The BOM must always be exploded first. The material availability can only be carried out once the BOM has been exploded. Once the availability check has been carried out, the system should print the component list. The table is then mainatained as follows:
    <b>Control Action Target action</b>
    01  BOME
    01 BOME NEMA
    01 NEMA PRNT
The action control what is defined needs to be assigned in Material Master MRP4 View under REM section.
    Hope this helps...Reward your points,

  • Periodic cost settlement for production order

    Hello All,
Please explain me can we do Periodic cost settlement for production order in discrete manufacturing. If yes, how?
    Thanks & Regards,

WIP entry gets passed to accounts if the order is not in DLV or TECO status.
    or else variance gets calculated.

  • Production order confirmation from QE51N

    Dear Gurus,
My client use the SAP Mill version. We are a textile manufacturing plant. We create production orders to Greige manufacturing. When on greige confirmation production will be recorded using QE51N transaction. If there is a scrap portion they will use QE51n and there is an option where we can record the scrap. Need to clarify two things.
    1. How this QE51N works?
    2. account determination part & the scrap recording. (We cannot see the scrap portion in the system, or in any location, does it consume the RM?
    Waiting for you.....
    PubuduS

    Dear,
In SAP Scrap means stock will exhaust. Which means stock will not be transferred to any other material or stock will not be generated. So if you want to generate scrap and you know the quantity of scrap it can be maintained as bi product. If you wanna thru QE51N you can post to rework option. If you have material which will be exhaust and no residue of that material will be ther then maintain that as scrap
    Scrap
    1) Say for example if order qty is 10, Now if we Confirm this order in CO11N
    2) in CO11N, in Yield we give as 8 qty & in scrap field we give 2 qty ( scrap )
    3) so system assumes that this scrap 2 qty is waste ( it's lost for ever ) as per SAP
    By-Product
    1) By-Product is a product that is produced in Conjunction with other products
    2) in BOM we maintain in Negetive qty
    3) so while confirmation By-product will be received Via 531 Movement type

  • Process orders and Production order in PP

    Hi,
In our case Process orders are used in most of the case ,than production orders. Pls tell wheather Process orders are also pulled by the extractors(PP) and behave similar in all the Standard PP reports. and what is the diffrence between Process orders and Production order??
    Regards
    Nair

    Hi
In PP, you can see Production Planning and Production Planning -Process Industry
Production order is for manufacturing industry
Process order is for process industries where input raw material is processed to arrive at end product.Process order keeps shop floor person aware of processing status. If your client's business have many processes than manufacturing you might come across more processing orders

  • WIP FOR REPETITIVE MANUFACTURING WITH VALUATED SALES ORDER

    Dear All,
We are in the process of implementing Repetitive manufacturing with valuated sales order(MTO). I want to clarify whether in this scenario WIP will be generated.
Since, at the time of final backflushing, what ever GR done for finished goods, the GI for its components will be done automatically. The components will be issued based on the BOM. I think in this scenario WIP will not be there.
Please tell me whether i am correct.
    regards
    ranga

Thanks. I have another scenario. My client wants to transfer all cost of HR,Admin, finance etc and other indirect production cost center cost to production cost center. I mean they want to charge on the product. I have to production cost center. Client will give me the basis for allocating the cost. I have to do assessment and distribution for cost allocation
But, I want to clarify how do i include the admin, hr or finance and indirect production cost center cost in cost component structure if i do the above process.
How to do the cost splitting.

  • How to create a manufactured component in a production order network

    Hi,
I've been facing problems to create a subnetwork in a production order. I want to add a manufactured component at a production order network.
Does anyone know any BAPI or FM to solve this problem?
    Thks,

I tried to use the below FM sequence, but I just create no-manufactured compenents. However this tried was failed too, becaus a couple of fields was missing when I go to CO02 transaction.
    CO_XT_COMPONENT_ADD
    CO_XT_ORDER_PREPARE_COMMIT

  • Cost  of finished product repetitive manufacturing

    Hi,
My clients produces 5 different finshed products always. I want to map the scenario in Repetitive manufacturing.
Is it possible in REM to get the actual cost of production of 5 products separately?? fir example can i get cost of finished product 1 as Rs200, in the month of Jan2009 for 10 quantity, cost of finished product 2 in the month of Jan2009 for 5 quantity etc etc .
    Regards.

Thanks to all for their valuable inputs.
Dear Mangalraj: Its really a challenge for me to decide whether to go for REM or not. The reason why I am not going for discrete is :
    1. Client doesnt know how much of ( for example) fertilizers it issues for finished 1 or finished 2 . client says he  knows that in a month how much he has used  for example 100 kg of fertilizers in total, not on basis of finished goods. So, i think i will have problem during BOM creation and goods issue in particular.
    2. Since finished products are rose plants, jasmine plants etc, client says i dont how much to do Goods reciept. few plants may still be not ready to be able to do goods reciept.Client says its very difficult for me to count flower plants everyday and then say out of 1000, 10 are ready to be done Goods reciept and 15 are dead so these should be scrapped etc.
These are the resons why i thought it to map to REM. But client also wants to know price of each plant , means whats the price of rose plant(per plant), price of jasmine plant( per plant).
Request you all to throw some light on this..
    Regards.

  • Repetitive Manufacturing planned order long text

In our scenario, we will use the repetitive manufacturing process with planned order.   However, the users would like to attach the long text for each planned order.
Is there any use exit or BADI to support this?
    Regards,

    Hi ,
i think there is no user exit or BADI which can work in your case.
When we required similar functioanolity we landd up in desigining entirely new Z tocde which would accept the long text ofr the plan orders and save it.
we created coplue of ztables to store the plaf link.

  • Does Repetitive Manufacturing Supports CO-Product Costing as well.

Please can any one answer whether Repetitive Manufacturing  supports the C-Products costing.
I have 6 Co-Products coming out of my process and cost of all should be calculated and shall be taken as benefit for Main product costing.
    Thanks and Regards
    Khadeer

    Hi,
Are you asking whether SAP PP module support co-product as compare to PP-PI module?
Yes, SAP PP module support co-product, in the BOM item basic data screen (CS01/CS02) you can indicator whether the item is a co-product or not.  You should post this to PP forum instead of MM forum.
    best regards,

  • X Steps in Discreet manufacturing in Production order scenario

    Hi
    XSTEPS guru's
As i understand till now XSTEPS is posible in PP-PI however in one thread i saw it is mentioned its application for  Discreet manufactring too.I will like to know is it really possible to apply XSTPES in discreet production order scenarion and if yes how it can be achieved.
    Previous thread on this :
    Re: X-Steps for Discrete

    1. About the Compactability i Know you will have to check / wait for reply,
    2  benefits. -
    a. Generally it depends on how much functionality is required,if you arelooking for simple instructions then you need go for them, keep it simple, Dont use the funcationality just as it is available,
    b. Because these are new funcitnalities and you need to be clear enough on consulting what to give and what not to give.
c.PP-PI vs Discrete has its own advantages over each one of them , Validating this is not basedon the Xsteps, it is one of the functionality added to make life simpler.
    3. Reg the customisation:
    IN SPRO>PROCESSINDUSTRIES>PROCESMANGEMENGE
below this you will see the Xteps.
    4. Please look at this blog http://websha.de/xstepcafe/ the author has lot of info on that .

  • Repetitive manufacturing - Planned order

    Hello,
I have got a list of 'firmed' planned orders of repetitve manufacturing. How to unfirm those planned orders in mass?
    Regards.

    Dear Mangal,
I re-checked in the system & MD19 does not have option to go by planned orders. Further the options which exist are for single entry.
However I wont say that the BAPI is the only solution, as the need in the initial query just states there are many firmed planned orders. It does not provide further details, so if its just for a single material or MRP cont. etc then MD19 should suffice.
But if the planned orders are for different materials, then user has to do multiple MD19's or if the effort justifies the business need, then develop a Z program.
    Regards,
    Vivek
