Production order on two company code

I have two company code A110, plant p110 and A111, plant P111.
My requirement: I want planned order in P110, production order in P111, goods receipt in P110, goods issue to plant P111.
I setup material code 200201 for both plant, in plant A110, I use special production, receiving plant A111. besides this, what should be configured to meet with my requirement, thanks

SivKumr,
First, a technical question.  You mention A110 and A111 as company codes in the first statement, then you mention them as plants in the second statement.  Can you elaborate?
Actually I don't know what you want from us, you haven't mentioned yet what your problem is.  Exactly what do you want to happen that currently does not happen?.
In your original statement you have described your desired solution, which I must say is...ah....odd.  How about also enlightening us with a statement of your business requirements?    I personally am at a loss to conceive of any business reasons why a company would wish to implement such a solution.
You might also want to refer to SAP help, to see what special planning processes are available.

  • Stock Transport Order between Two Company codes

    Dear All
Scenario-- Stock transport order Between two company codes.
The valuation of Comapny Codes is at Moving Average Price.
    I have a scenario
MAP of Issuing Plant-- Rs. 10 / kg
I am able to pick up the price of Rs.10 (MAP) of issuing plant while creating PO.
    in receving plant.
At the time of Goods issu the MAP has changed & become Rs.12/kg. Hence the goods issue takes place at Rs.12/- perkg.
When we make GR at receiving plant ,the valuation of GR is at Rs.10 i.e at PO price.
Is it possible to have a GR valuation at Goods issue price for that delivery note?
    Request Your feedback urgently.

The invoice has the material costs at time of goods issue.
You receipt is valuated to PO price. But when you post the invoice, then the MAP is adjusted,
By setting up EDI, SAP will probably post the invoice before the goods receipt is done, hence the GR should be valuated with the invoice price.
    from Note 518368 - FAQ: Valuation for the purchase order;
With which price is the goods receipt posted for a purchase order?
    Answer:
If the goods receipt is executed before the invoice receipt, the goods movement is valuated with the purchase order price. If an invoice is already posted, the system uses the price of the invoice. If a partial invoice is received, the partial quantity corresponding to the invoice is valuated with the invoice price, the rest is valuated with the purchase order price.
For more detailed information, refer to both the documentation of the material valuation and Note 380883.

  • EXTERNAL OPERATION in a production order with  different company code plant

    Hi,
in my case i am having a production order with  4 operations.
      0010 milling
      0020 winding
      0030 cutting
      0040 milling
among this opearion 0030 i want to do it in a plant which is assigned to different company code than mine.
in this case whether i should proceed with PP01 Control key  with opearion plant as that plant which is lieing in diffent company code or
i should specify  PP02 control key saying that plant as an external vendor for me and do PR  and PO for that service .
which should i follow for my case and how cost gets updated .

    Hi,
For different company code, u have to specify PP02 in the routing for external vendor. In PP02 control key indicator must be set in external opn.
Before that create purchase info record.
Enter subcontract info record in routing.
after running MRP , convert the PR to PO.
Send the material by MB1B by 541 mvt
Receive the material by MIGO  by 101 mvt.

  • Using IDoc to convert Purchase Order as Sale Order between two Company code

    Dear Experts,
We are in need of implementing IDoc.
We have 2 Company codes. One in US and another in India.
The US Company receives Customer Order and PR is generated automatically for the Third Party Sale Order.
The PO is also generated based on this PR against the Vendor code (Indian Company actually created as a Vendor code also)
Now, the PO from Us Company should be converted as Order in Indian Company. The PO sending Plant is the Customer in this case.
    Now,
    1. How we go about this using IDoc.
2.How do we capture the Sold-to-Party ( US Compnay in thsi case) and the Ship-to-Party ( Direct Customer of US Company)
Please share your experties on this.
    Regards,
    Ramki

    Hi Ramki,
Since the goods are selling between 2 company codes.. you should ideally use inter company process i.e. choose plant as Indian plant and etc..pls search the forum for intercompany process set up or refer to the setup required for Intercompany :
The above setup will help you in dealing with your question 2.
On question 1: Once you setup the intercompany you won't require IDocs setup.
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Raghu.

  • Merging of two company codes.

    Dear SAP consultants,
At present there are two company codes ( lets say 1000 and 2000 ) which have different plants assigned to them. Now company code 1000 is merging into company code 2000.
Please guide me what are the configurations to be done with respct to MM module.
    Thanks & Regards.
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
If company code 1000 is merging into company code 2000, then you need to create new plants to represent the "old plants" in the new company. If you copy the old plants, that will also copy their customizing, so no special customizing should be needed, except for assignment to company code 2000 obviously.
I would not dare to change the plant -> company code assignation in a productive system.
To move all the stock from company 1000 to company 2000, the logical way is to sell all of it to company 2000, so you will have Sales Orders in company 1000 and Purchase Orders in company 2000.
The materials will needed to be extended to work in the new plants. If you do that by copying from the "old" plant, then you are guaranteed to have the same information at the master data level.
    Hope it helps,

  • Subcontracting b/n two company codes

    Hi friends
i have caome across the subcontracting scenario which takes place between two company code with their respective plants, Please Provide best way to map the scenario

    Sub Contracting Cycle
    (1) You have a material that can be procured externally, and you have maintained BOM with components. Any waste generated and received during subcontracting process can be maintained as component with negative quantity.
    (2) You create a subcontracting PO (PO with Item Category L). You can also maintain Purchase Info Record for Subcontract category for material and subcontractor.
    (3) You make a transfer posting to issue components for SC PO. Material is sent to subcontractor.  As material remains under your ownership, system does not make any value entry. But quantity is shown as "Material Provided to Vendor"
    (4) You receive finished material against SC-PO. You also specify components consumed in manufacturing of finished goods. Additionally, if you have negative components in BOM, now you'll also receive subcontracting by-products. There are three events, so three accounting entries are generated:
DR FG Stock/ SC By-Product Stock
CR Change in Stock (FG/ SC By-Product )
    (for finished goods received)
    DR Subcontracting Charges
    CR GR/IR Clg
    (for moneys payable to Subcontractor)
    DR Consumption (Components)
CR Change in Stock (FG/ SC By-Product )
(material provided to Vendor is now charged to expense)
    (5) You do the IV for SC Invoice, and the process is complete.
    Process of Subcontract in MM
    Sub-contract business process:
You want to buy material from the supplier (processed material/ assembled item) , but for some reason (quality of certain item / price ) you will give some component to vendor .
Vendor shall process the item / use the item provided & supply the final item.
    SAP process:
1.Create the finished goods material code.
2.Maintain the BOM for the material.
3.Create PO with item category as "L" .
4.Issue material to vendor with movement type 541
5.Receive the material against the PO with movement type 101.
6.MIRO to account for vendor's invoice for the service charge& material used by him.
Can anybody tell me how a process has to be given to subcontracting?
    Suppose, I have 3 operations  1)weaving 2)dyeing 3)cutting & packing
if no 2 process (i.e Dyeing) has to be given to subcontracting, what process should i follow ?
    Vijay
The following process to be followed for subcontracting.
    1. Item code(material master) to be created at the stage of before dyeing.
    2. Item code(material master) to be created after Dyeing as subcontracted item.(F30)
    3. Bill of material to becreated for the material(2) calling for material(1)
    4. Inforecord and source list to be created for material(2) with the corresponding vendor
    5. PO to be released for material (2)
6.Along with PO the material(1) to be issued to vendor
7.On receipt of material when GR is made the stock with vendor will get updated.
    B.N.Rao
How to Create a Subcontract Order?
To create a subcontract order, proceed as follows:
Enter the material you want to order and the item category for subcontracting (L) in the order item.
Press ENTER to display the screen for component processing.
Enter the components that the vendor requires to manufacture the product.
    Please note:
    – You do not need to enter the date required for the components. This date is proposed by the system when you press ENTER.
    It is calculated as follows:
Delivery date of the item - Planned delivery time
    – If you do not want the quantity of the components to be changed if the order quantity of the end product is altered, set the indicator Fixed quantity (column F).
    – You can determine whether the components are available on the date required by selecting Edit -> Availability check.
If you entered a bill of material as the material in the subcontract order, the components are created automatically.
If you want to determine the components in the bill of material at a later date (for example, if the bill of material is subsequently changed), choose Item -> Component -> New BOM explosion. The existing components are deleted and redetermined in the bill of material.
    Save the purchase order.
When you print the purchase order, the components are printed per order item
    Subcontracting - Key Points
    Special Procurement Process.
    Item category: L
    Order type: NB
In info record vendor should be maintained as subcontractor.
Vendor (Subcontractor) receives the components used to manufacture a finished product directly from your company or through third party.
Your company should place a purchase order for the finished product.   In this manually you can enter the required individual components or it can be determined via the explosion of BOM (if exists).
Stock check at vendor level: ME2O
    Company stock check: MMBE
GR for individual components through movement type: 501 or 561 (if with out PO or without reference).
GI to subcontracting vendor: through movement type 541.
GR from sub contracting vendor: through movement type: 101
Movement type 543 is displayed to cancel the material cost account.
If the subcontracting order has to be generated through materials planning, the special procurement key has to be set in MRP 2 screen.

  • Subcontracting- with two company codes.

    Hi PP Gurus,
We got two company codes say company code 1000 and company code 1100. We're having plants 4000 in company code 1000 and 5000 in company code 1100. Manufacturing of all SFG and FG take place at plant 5000 in company code 1100.
Now the requirement is all Raw materials are supplied from plant 4000 in company code 1000 to plant 5000 in company code 1100.
Client want all the RM cost to be captured in company code 1000 and plant 5000 will only invoice for Services that are utilized for manufacturing....
How could we map this scenario? Either through making BOM and Routing in both plants 4000 and 5000. and in Routing of plant 4000 need to activate operation subcontracting and material to be supplied to plant 5000 and latter service cost to be captured through Service entry sheet. OR MRP area or Special prcurement key to be configured in plant 5000 to suffice the requirement?
Please reply with your prompt comments.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Abu Arbab

    Hi,
This you can handle through the special procurement. Both the plants you need to maintain the material master. In Plant 4000 is your supplying plant. In plant 4000 the raw materials you need to maintain as external procurement. Plant 5000 you need to maintain this materials as special procurement as withdrawal from alternate plant. Since your production plant is 5000, you need to maintain the BOM in this plant. In Plant 4000 you need not maintain the BOM. When you run MRP in plant 5000, the planned orders will be created in Plant 4000. This you can see in MD04 screen as planning plant as 5000. But the planned order number will be same in both the plants.

  • Can I create a single PO for two company codes

    Hi
Can I create a single PO for two company codes. Though I know that Company code is assigned at header level but still I know there is a setting in controlling which when activated two company codes under same controlling area can procure the goods under the same PO.But i forget from where to activate that message or control in config.
    Thanks

    Hi Lekhram,
I'm just beginner so maybe I got the wrong end of the stick.
If you order something that something must belong to a definite company > plant. How could possess two company the same thing at the same time (totally)?
(companies are at the same organisational level - none of them is subject to the other).
    Maybe I'm mistaken.
So I <b>guess</b> you can use only one company code for one PO.

  • Exchange Rate Maintenance for two company codes..

    Friends,
My client is having two company codes
    X = India
    Y = USD
US Company code is live for the last few years and India Company code is created recently and the same is live now.
Now when the US company code creates Purchase Orders /  Scheduling agreements, the following error is encountered.
"Enter rate INR/EUR rate type M for 31.07.2008 in the system settings.:"
Now my question to the forum is that
    1. If we maintain the exchange rates in OB08 will there any other effect ?
    2. Is this error because One more company code is added to the same client which is operating in INR ?
    3. When US Company code is not all transacting with India Company Code why is this error encountered.
Appreciate if some one can explain the pros and cons of this please. I am basically an MM consultant and I would also like to know the FI impact in this scenario, hence posted this question in FI forum.
    Regards

    Hi,
At the time of initial installation SAP would make EUR as base currency, so any new company code you create needs to have an exchange rate defined to the base currency EUR.
In your case you can define exchange rate to EUR and process PO, as per my knowledge there will not be any impact of this.
    Thanks,
    Ramesh.

  • STO between two company codes

    Hi,
we are doing the inter company process between two company codes.
    i have one reference document,
    1) how can we find the supplying plant sales area and receving plant sales area.
2)In spro settings "Assign sales organization - distribution channel u2013 plant" which one we need to assign here(supplying plant sales area or receving plant sales area).
3)In customer master record sales area tab which one we need to assign as a Delivering plant(supplying plant or receving plant)
    please tell me anyone.
    thanks,
    pandu

    Hi,
    1. Are you referring to the config area of transaction area?
If config, then you can find the configured sales area of the supplying & receiving plant in IMG --> Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Purchase Order --> Set Up Stock Transport Order --> Define Shipping Data for Plants (here you assign the relevant sales area to the relevant Supplying Plant and the created Customer number (in XD01) to the Receiving Plant. Thise customer number is used in SD shipping processing to identify the ship-to party if provision has been made in Customizing for a stock transfer to be carried out with an SD delivery). This sales area is to subsequently trigger the shipping point (based on shipping point determination) for delivery.
You also assign the supplying plant to a vendor. To do this, from the SAP menu choose Logistics --> Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Master Data --> Vendor --> Purchasing --> Create; on the screen for purchasing data, choose Extras, and you assign the supplying plant here.
    2. In the SPRO, you assign the Supplying Plant to the relevant sales organization and the distribution channel in IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Assignment --> Sales and Distribution --> Assign Sales Organizationu2013Distribution Channel-Plant.
    3. This is not required, as this delivery plant in the "Sales" tab is relevant when you create a Sales Order to automatically populate the delivery plant for the particular customer. For cross-company STO, the customer number is used to identify the ship-to-party to carry out the shipping processing. You would instead need to ensure that the shipping condition etc. in the customer are maintained properly for the shipping point determination.
    Hope the above helps.
    Thanks.

  • WBS for two company codes

    Dear Experts,
This requirement is for an IT service project.
The process is - I have two company codes Comp code 1 & Comp code 2, In which Project is created in company code 1. Employees are assigned to project to onsite & offshore from company code 2. This means the employees are created in the company code 2. But working for the project in Comp.code 1. Comp code 2 get revenue thru intercompany billing based on number of hours/days the employee worked in the project created by the com. code 1. The employee books the timesheet in comp code 1 against the project id.
    To acheive this
    1)  i need to maintain same project for two company codes?
    2) Or same project, one wbs for one company code & other wbs for another company code?
Will the above two possible to work in SAP? or
anyother we i can workaround this
    Please advise
    Regards,
    Deepu Pillai

    Hi,
This is possible through Resouce Related billing in PS.
For e.g. Consider business scenario, where we have created T-10006 as a customer project.
Now this project is mapped using a work breakdown structure that contains activities.
The activities define the flow of the project and form a quantity structure for determining costs and payment data automatically.
The project cost plan is used to create quotations.
When the sales order is received, it is assigned to the project. This means that it can be used to plan revenue and then post this revenue.
Actual costs are entered when activities are confirmed, components are purchased and when invoices are assigned. Actual revenue is posted to the project by means of milestone billing.
Two companies are responsible for executing project T-10006.
Company 'A' is mapped using company code 1000 and performs all services except for those planned in WBS element T-10006.1.2.
Comapny 'B' is mapped using company code 2000 and performs some of the engineering services. (WBS element T-10006.1.2).
Here Comapny 'B'  bills its services to Company 'A' on a resource-related basis.
A results analysis is carried out for the billing elements T-10006 und T-10006.1.2 in the project.
The results analysis values are settled to the profitability segment.

  • Automated Sale cycle within two company codes

    Hi to all,
    i have a requirement:
there are two company codes A and B. A transfer goods to B through sale/purchase cycle and B sells goods to the customer. How can the system be automated?
to be more specific:A sells goods to B which is intercomapny sales and B finally sells to customers.requirement is as soon as B generates delivery and billing ,automatic order delivery and billing should happen from A to B with different prices.
    Waiting for the response.
    thanks
    Nakul

    Hi,
you can solve this with 2 schedule agreements and douplicate of the idoc´s, if you work with idoc´s
or you can work from A to B with a purchasing and B to customer with a sales order.
For the second process, you can work with a message EDI into purchasing document, which create autom. the sales order for B. EDI-Type = ORDERS with type Orders05. Definition for WE20 must be logistic system.

  • Same material in two company codes

    Hi all,
I want to use the same material code (A1 - reynolds pen) for two company codes 1000 & 2000 what are all the implications i vl get in future,,,
    plz any guide me,,,
    regards,
    urendra

    Hi
You will not get any implications for this.
All your transactions are made effect on your valuation area.
which may be company code or plant.
In mm01 you are maintaing that material for plant level.
So data related to this material is stored for perticular plant if you are valn area is plant.
Also for stock transfer order you will have to maintain this material for both plants or company codes.
    regards
