Production Order: warning when Basic finish date is before scheduled finish

Hello experts,
We will set in config OPU3 (scheduling parameters for prod order) Adjust dates = 2 Do not adjust basic dates, ... Essentially this will allow the shop floor controller to change scheduled date ie. production dates without affecting basic dates.
With this setup the system may display in the header of an order the scheduling note "Basic finish date is before scheduled finish" as well as generate a scheduling log "Scheduled finish is after basic finish date" (message 36 mess class C7).
These messages are not enough visible for our planners. I would like to find a way to generate a warning before save. I tried to add a record in OPJB: message class CO no. 533 "Scheduled date & is after the requirements date &" but this doesn't work.
Note: I tried to add message class C7 no 36 in OPJB but got the error "Please enter a legal value".
Have you been able to add message in table OPJB ? Is it a good idea or the only option is enhancement?
Thanks for sharing your ideas.

Hi Francois
I'm trying to do the same (also for C7 035).
Have you already found out how to do this?

  • Basic finish date earlier than basic start date while backward scheduling

I am encountering an issue where in when I am selecting backward scheduling for a process order and I am entering the Basic finish date, afte which system is giving me a Basic startdate which is after the basic finish date.
For eg:- When i give the basic finish date as 08.12.2011, system is giving me basic start date as 09.12.2011
I have checked the recipe of the material. In the recipe one major flaw that i found out was that all the activity timings were maintained as 0. But when i created a similar scenario in the testing client, i am not getting the issue.
    Please help.

    Hi,
Check what is maintawined in number of days the start day is allowed to be in the past in scheduling parameters of the order type, in OPU3. If there is an opening float defined in schedule margin key of the order, and concerning this float backward scheduling finds a start date which falls into past, lead time scheduling will automatically switch to forward scheduling starting from today. 9.12.2011 could have been deducted this way. Also check the factory calendar if days upto 9.12.2011 are defined as working days.
    Regards.

  • Determination of Production Order Type when Planned Order is Converted

    Hi SAP Expert,
Is there anyway to determine the Production Order type by Sales Order type when the planned order from APO is converted? Currently, all the planned orders converted from APO will be a Normal Production Order.
    The requirement as example below:
    >> If Sales Order Type = Normal Sales Order, then the converted Production Order type = Normal Production Order
    >> If Sales Order Type = Replacement Sales Order, then the converted Production Order type = Rework Production Order
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Hooi Chia

    Hi Pascal,
Our requirement is exactly same as yours. Can you please elaborate more on ZXCOXU13? I can see the function module suggested by Santosh in the SAP Note but I couldn't find any details regarding ZXCOXU13.
    Thanks.

  • Track production order ststes histry (Status change date, time, user)

I want to track a production order status change history. Status change date, user name and status. Appreciate if somebody can give me a T Code, SAP report or a table.

    HI,
You can see the the date, time and user for the status changes by following the menu path given by Mr. Mangalraj.
However if you cant see them, then check the T Code OPL8 (for PP and COR4 for PI), implementation tab. Tick the check boxes for for Status Change Documents as your choice (for header, operations etc).
After checking these boxes you will be able to see the status change details.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to stop a production order processing when a delivey block is placed

    Hi,
Mine is a MTO scenario. I am using planning strategy 50. So a planned order ---> production order will be created against MRP run  against each sales order.
When i am placing a delivery block at the header the system is working fine. Its deleting the planned order(converted production order).
when I am placing a delivery block at the schedulle line its not working fine. its not deleting the underlined planned order or production order.
what configuration should I do to make this work.......

    Deepu,
Unfortunately as per SAP documentation below you cannot have this function at schedule line level.
"If you enter the delivery block at header level, the system transfers the desired delivery quantity for all schedule lines in the requirement. The confirmed quantity is deleted. This function is not available when you enter the delivery block at schedule line level."
I have tried in my system & it works the same way. Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Reverse the production order even when some quantity has been invoiced

    Dear Sapgurus,
How to reverse the production order when the some quantity of that production order has been sent through invoice.
    regards
    muralidhar.t

    Dear,
In that case you can not reverse the the full order quantity you can only reverse the quantity which are in unrestricted storage loaction as a stock.
You can cancle it through MB31 with 102 movement. If auto GR is there then you need to cancle it through CO13. After that also check the COGI and CO1P.
    Hope clear to you.

  • Finish date changed in Scheduling

    Hello All
I am facing one problem in scheduling.
I have one production order 7734413.
    Order is not released.
Always I am using back ward scheduling. I am working on  4.7 version
In production order Basic finish date is 07.11.2007 and basic start date is 28.10.2007.
In factory calendar Tuesday is holiday.
Now suppose I want to change finish date as 08.11.2007 and then I do scheduling.
Then system is proposing 09.11.2007 as finish date and start date as 31.10.2007.
That means after scheduling system is proposing one day ahead of finish date.
But if I enter finish date as any Wednesday then it is accepting the same as finish date.
Suppose I enter 14.11.2007 as finish date and if I do scheduling then system proposes 14.11.2007 as finish date. Here system is not proposing one day ahead of finish date.
Other details are as follows :
    Schedule margin key
    Opening period – 10 days
Float after production – 5 days
Float before production – 2 days
Main thing I facing problem in scheduling on all days except on Wednesday.
Please let me know the solution.

    Hi
you an go through the following notes:
    Basic finish date
Date on which the required quantity of the material is available (that is, the requirements date of the material).
If, on order creation, a planned order exists for the production order/ process order, the basic dates are copied from the planned order.
If no planned order exists on order creation, you must specify at least one basic date.
The scheduling type determines the basic dates that you must specify.
    Dependencies
The order finish date is accurate to the day. However, for scheduling, production requires a completion date that also specifies the time. To ensure that the material to be manufactured is available on the order finish date, the completion date must be before 00:00 hours on the order finish date.
If, however, an in-house production time of 0 days is maintained in the material master, an exception is made to this rule. In this case, it is assumed that the material can be manufactured in a single workday. The completion date is then before 24:00 hours on the order finish date.
    Example
The last operation of an order was completed on Thursday at 5 pm (17:00 hours). No float after production was maintained for the order.
If an in-house production time greater than 0 days is maintained in the material master record, the order finish date is Friday.
If an in-house production time of 0 days is maintained in the material master record, the order finish date is Thursday.

  • Error for Project finish date earlier than forecast finish date

    Hi Experts
I have the dates in Project definition as follows:
    Forecast start (PROJ-SPROG):  31.01.2011
    Forecast finish (PROJ-EPROG): 31.03.2011
If i enter date 30.03.2011 as Finish date (PROJ-PLSEZ), below error message appears: "Finish date is earlier than start date. CJ563"
The date i have entered is later than PROJ-SPROG, still not accepting.
It accepts entry of date beyond the date in field PROJ-EPROG.
Can anybody share thoughts on this?
    Warm regards
    ramSiva

Can you kindly verify the other sets of dates being maintained in your activity (i.e. earliest & latest)? Are you using default configurations for PS i.e. confirmation dates are checked against basic dates and not forecast dates?

  • PGI date is before Schedule Line date.

    Hi
We have a scenario which I want to understand. There was ZERO stock on 01.04.2009 in my plant. The stock received on 14.04.2009 but while doing the GR, the posting date changed to 05.04.2009. Now a sales Order created on 14.04.2009 with schedule line confirmation on 14.04.2009. When we checked the delivery and its material document generated after PGI it shows the posting date of 04.04.2009. All the dates in Delivery has been changed to 04.04.2009, however actually the delivery created on 14.04.2009.
Now my querry is how the system allow to do the PGI on 04.04.2009 when there was no stock for the material on that date, and the schedule line is for 14.04.2009. Is this the standard behaviour?, if yes, Can we restrict it, so that PGI can not be done before the Schedule Line Date or before the actual availability of material.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Amitesh

    hi AA,
This doesnt seems to be a Std process. GR happens for current date. and you can alter Actual PGI date but the document date (delivery) shall not be prior to MAD or Transportation planning date of Order. i guess this may require an OSS.

  • Collumn order changes when i retrive data through select statement.

    Hi
i am using the sql developer 2.1.1.64 i have below table with respected collum sequence.
    tbl_message( id,
    date,
    process_name,
    stage,
    message,
    message_type,
    parameter)
when i retrive this table using select * from tbl_message; i got the below collumn sequence
date process_name stage id message message_type parameter
    13-may-2011 procedure 10 1 info info null
but when i create the table my id collumn is the first collumn?
and when open the table through sql developer id collumn is in the first place. so why id collumn is in 3rd place when i use select statement?
if you need more information lpease let me know.
    Thanks
    Ritesh

SQL Developer allows you to change the order of the columns in the Output window, and it will remember it. This is probably why you see the columns in a different order when you execute "SELECT * FROM ..."
The actual order of the columns in the database is what you see when you execute the DESC command.
You also can verify the order of the columns in two other ways:
    1) Use SQL*PLus and exeute your "SELECT * " query. SQL*Plus will not re-arrange the columns.
    2) Query the data dictionary. Use user_tab_columns (if you are the owner of the table), or use all_tab_columns and add the schema owner to the query otherwise.
    SELECT table_name, column_name, column_id
    FROM user_tab_columns
    WHERE table_name  = 'TBL_MESSAGE';

  • Upgrade from basic to smart phone before contract finishes.  What are my options?

    Hi everyone,
I'm working on upgrading from a basic phone to a smartphone.  My current phone is one line in a shared plan (1 iphone and 3 basic phones).
My current contract isn't up until September 2014, but it's become necessary that I get a smartphone this winter.  Obviously, that's not going to happen without some fees, but I'm trying to figure out what my options are.  This is what I think I have, but are there ones I'm not considering?
    1. Buy a phone through verizon without the subsidy.  I assume this resets my 2 year contract.  But there's no early termination fee, right?
    2. Buy a verizon-ready used phone from a friend and apply it to my account.  I believe that this doesn't incur an ETF either, right?
    3. Add a new line with a smartphone (with subsidy).  Transfer my number to that phone, and then pay to terminate the basic phone line (which would be $175-5/month, so $105, right?).
    4. Pay to terminate this line ($105), and move to another carrier, but my number wouldn't transfer.
Any recommendations within these options, or things I haven't mentioned?
    Thanks!

    1. If you buy a phone without subsidy, there is no contract. And no ETF -- you'd simply put the new phone on the line and the contract end date is the same.
    2. Correct. You can activate a phone you bought elsewhere anytime. It won't change your contract. You will simply have to add the data plan.
    3. The contract is tied to the phone number. So if you add a line for a smartphone, that number/line would incur the $350 smartphone ETF. But you can transfer the new smartphone to your current line, then put your basic phone on that line -- it will either cost you $10/month if you're on a Nationwide plan or $30/month if on Share Everything.
    4. You can port your number to the new carrier and pay the ETF, which seems it'll be about $105. Every carrier has to allow porting nowadays. Just know if you're not happy with the new carrier and want to switch back to Verizon within the first few months (either 60 or 90 days, I can't recall), you'll be put right back on the contract you were on.
I can't think of any other options. When I feel like switching and I'm under contract, I typically choose No. 2 in your above scenario.

  • Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date

    Folks,
I have a requirement from the business to be able to update the Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date independently from each other.
In other words, update the Basic Finish Date and the Scheduled Finish Date cannot change or update the Scheduled Finish Date and the Basic Finish Date cannot change.
I believe the reason for this is to be able to use the Basic Date to maintain the ATP accurately and keep the Scheduled Date to mark when the order was originally due from the shop floor to be able to measure if orders are being completed on time or late.
I have worked in tnx OPUZ and had some success with other issues with these dates but I can't seem to make them work independently from each other.
Or does anyone have any ideas how to measure proces order performance to the production schedule?
    Thank you for your help,
    Greg

Rajesha, thank you for your reply but it doesn't solve my problem.
    Let me restate my scenario:
I start a process order and both the basic and scheduled finish dates are the same, June 1.
At some point, shop floor tells me they will be late and cannot deliver until June 15.
I need to update a date in the system so the ATP and the MRP planning runs have correct information for promising customers, I will update the Basic Finish date with June 15.
I also need to keep the original June 1 date in order to measure the shop floor performance to the production schedule to measure how early or late the  order was delivered. How can I keep the original finish date or how can I measure if a process order is early or late??
    Thank you for your help,
    Greg
