Production orders: Master data updating
Hi everyone,
This is my scenario:
I had created hundreds of production orders with a previously defined BOM and routing. Now both the BOM and the Routing have been modified.
I was wondering if there's any way for updating the master data in all the former production orders without doing it explicitely accessing one by one.
Points will be rewarded.
Thanks and best regards.
Ben.
Dear ,
I hope you can do it by Mass processing of Production .
Logistics ---Production -- Production Control Control --- COHV Mass Processing to go to the Mass Processing Production Orders screen
Transaction Code :
COHVOMPP
Here u have to capacity and availability check for all the orders. Now u can include the function in the Mass processing tabe page in COHVOMPP ok and also set the error log.Once u have executed a list of PO will be displaed and u have select all of them and hit the mass procesing button.
2.In case your order beyond the shop fllor ,u can do it through Order Change Management
3.Or U can perform Read PP Master Data in the CO02 --Function tab which will ask u to include your BOM/Routing.
Hope it will help u to clear ur idea.
Reward point if useful

Profit center field in production order master data in KKF3
Hi GUrus,
is there any way of mass updating the profit center field in production order master data in KKF3 transaction. PLease help
AnushaHI charlie,
When i try to change the profit center, the system gave this message. We already have a profit center for a production order and we need to change the profit center, That is when we are getting the errror message.
You have changed the profit center from AR00620800 to AR00620301. This is only allowed when the corresponding configuration was made in Customizing. Then this message is only a warning, which you can ignore. PLease help

Production order - Master data explosion date
Dear Team,
I am creating the production order in CO01. While creating the production order, i am choosing the backward scheduling. Since i have selected the backward scheduling, i have given the finish date as "27.02.2012". And in the tab "Master Data", i was refering the field "Explosion Date". The explosion date is been displayed as 20.02.2012 (Routing and BOM explosion date).
How this explosion date been determined based on the scheduling types (forward scheduling, backward scheduling)?. Is any configuration to be done to calculate this explosion date?
What is the importance of explosion date in production order? will it affect the production order? Because in my production order the explosion date occurs in future ie, 20.02.2012. (as mentioned above).
thank you
pskDear PSK,
The explosion date refers to the date when the BOM & Routings are exploded on the orders i.e. applied. The explosion date can be controlled based on the settings in the SPRO.
Go to SPRO - Production - MRP - Plant parameters - Carryout overall maintenance for plant parameters (Transaction: OPPQ).
In the plant pameters for a particular plant and in the tab 'BOM Explosion' we can determine how the system should can calculate the explosion date.
Explosion date is controlled based on the order start date or finish date. If the production order is added manually the system determines the explosion date as follows:
Case 1:
If you have specified the order start date on order creation the system takes this date as the explosion date for the bill of material.
Case 2:
If you have specified the order finish date on order creation the system calculates the explosion date from the order finish date minus the in-house production time defined in the material master.
As per your example it looks like in your system the explosion date is controlled by the 'Start Date' due to which the explosion date equals the order start date.
Hope this is helpful. Pl let me know if you need further help.
Thanks,

Production Order Master Data tab
Hello Guru,
we have question, in the production order itself, in the master data tab we find weird thing, in the production version it pick PV01 (has inactive bom), in routing field all was been filled up, while in the BOM field it was been blank? why this happen? is it possible BOM is not explode since it was inactive but it create production order?
I doubt that there were changes occured some where in the BOM or in the material master data of my material but in doc changes i cannot find, is there any way deside looking at the mat doc changes could i find the changes?
thanks
Edited by: Ryan on Dec 15, 2008 9:42 AMHello Guru,
I finally find why this happen to us, the order come from a planned order which converted via CO41, but why thus when i production version was indicated in creating a planned order (MD11) which has alt bom that is in inactive status already, SAP allows the conversion/creation of production order?
Any inputs R.Brahamankar?
Thanks

Exit for production order creation that update BOM explosion date
Hi Guros
does any one know a user exit for production order creation that update BOM explosion date = AUFLD.
or a UE that run before the BOM explosion.
thanks.Dear,
I dont think user exist will work for you,
You need to find BAdi for it, cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface .
Or try with SE84,
Enter the package name and check the " Enhancements"

SAP PP (Production Planning) Master Data Definitions
SAP PP (Production Planning) Master Data Definitions and Transaction codes.
SAP PP (Production Planning) Master Data Definitions
• Factory Calendar
• Material Master
• Resource • Bills of Material (BOM)
• Production versions
• Master recipe
Factory Calendar: The factory calendar is defined on the basis of a public holiday calendar. The public holiday and factory calendar is a central module in the SAP System. It is assigned to a specific plant during the initial system setup and therefore used in many areas (e.g. in Logistics and in Human Resources) in the system.
Material Master: Material master comprises if all the basic data of the material for each department. The data covers all the relevant information required for the transactional flow e.g. sales, Planning, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Costing etc. Material master covers all the descriptive and control data and the flow of information depends on fields maintained within it. The integration of all material data in a single database object eliminates redundant data storage. Material Masters are created once and can be changed or extended whenever required
Bill of Materials: Bill of Materials or commonly called BOM is a formally structured list of components that make up a product or assembly. The list contains the material number of the component together with the quantity and unit of measure. BOMs are used in their different forms in various situations where a finished product is assembled from several component parts or materials. Resources: Resources are production facilities and persons involved in a production process that have capacities. They are subdivided into categories to specify their suitability for certain purposes or their use in certain processes
Product Versions: A production version determines which alternative BOM is used together with which task list/master recipe to produce a material or create a master production schedule. For one material, we can have several production versions for various validity periods and lot-size ranges. The production version determines the following:
• The BOM alternative for a BOM explosion.
• The task list (master recipe) and any alternate, as needed.
• Lot-size restrictions and validity parameters.
Master Recipes: A master recipe defines the following data that is required for the production of materials without relating to a particular order: processing steps, resources, material components, and control information for the process control level. Master Recipe enables to plan the production of materials (products). Therefore, Master Recipe is used as a template for process orders and run schedules as well as a basis for product costing. In a Recipe
• The Phases (work steps) to be carried out during production.
• The activities to be performed in the operations as a basis for determining dates, capacity requirements and costs.
• The use of materials during production.
• The use of resource. -
How Production Order finish date and time is being comptued by SAP?
Hello Expert,
How Production Order finish date and time is being comptued by SAP? for example, we create a Production Order via CO01, the basic start date is 29.09.2008 and time is 04:00 it gives us basic finish date is 29.09.2008 and time is 13:28.
how does SAP compute the time 13:28 as it finished time
Please explain me briefly.
Thanks
RyanHello Guys,
When we create Production Order in R/3 the time is calculated by routing but it is extended at SetUp machine time. It is not correct?. SetUp imachines time used only for first Production Order for the same product and it is plan manually, for others Production Order we need calculate time for production without SetUp machine time being pick up to compute finish time. how could we achieve this? only those Machine time will be check.

Hi All
Can you please provide me a solution for the below scenario:
At the time of master data update from BW to BPC client wants to see the updated master data reports in excel file.
Exmp:
Existing number of Master data (IDs) before BW update : 1000
Today : I updated the master data into bpc from BW:10
Now they want to generate a report for only updated recoreds that is "10" and along with this they want to see is there any changes (property values) happen with the existing master data as well and this activity should be included in the package link of master data update and a Email noticafication should be triggered to the concerned person.
Please help me

Master data update bringing in multiple records for single entry
Hello,
I found that if I deleted and reloaded data in a master data object, it was showing me correct number of records. However, just a full update was not overwriting it with correct number of data records. there were always 1 or 2 extra blank records. I thought master data update should overwrite previous records and we need not delete and reload it.
Why would this happen?
Thanks!Hi there,
Are you refering to time dependent master data? From to values are present?
If so, that's the correct situation, since BW (OLAP) instead of R/3 (OLTP) allows you to mantain historical data, i.e., a material can be valid from a specific time period with several attributes and other attributes can be valid for the same material in another time space.

Default Results Analysis Key in Internal Order Master Data
Hi Expert,
I would like to default specific Results Analysis Key in Internal Order Master Data.
Please advice is the any configuration can perform that?
Results Analysis Key is under Period-End Closing tab (Internal Order Master Data)
Thanks

ng chong chuanHI
1. Go to T code KOM1 > Order Type would $$
2. CReate an Order and maintain default values in it like Comp code, etc and also the RA key
3. Now, maintain this model order in your Order Type in KOT2_OPA
4. Transport this customizing request across to all clients

Production Order Completion date
Hi All,
Can I know from which table can I get the production order completion date.Priya,
There are different thoughts as you did not clearly explain what you meant by Order Completion date.
If you are looking at based on,
Confirmation then AFKO-GETRI
Goods Delivery then AFPO-LTRMI
If you are looking at Based on Status CLSD then you need to find the status change document using table JCDS-TJ02 with referance to the Object Number of the Production order from AUFK table.
