Production Planning for industry getting raw material from farmers.

I am working in a process industry where i get raw material from farmers.My production(quantity and quality) is compltely depend on the quality of raw material.How can I plan this in SAP, So that I can get good quality of raw material.

SAP is ERP package which provides complete integration between all the other industry modules like Finance, Materials, sales, Production and Quality.
The present system of your Production and Quality has to be mapped in the SAP. But the data has to be flown from the present systems to sap. We built some controls for Raw material inspection for quality, it will allow only raw materials which will meets your specifications. And at any point of time you will have better control on the production also. We can can easily which raw materils are used for production etc.

Batch Traceability for Sugar as raw material during the production process
In AMSB the batch traceability in some production processes is very difficult, especially in case of sugar where tanks wherein more than one batches of the same material can be mixed. For example, in a single day almost 17-20 batches of the same material can be mixed and as the result is a composition of water and sugar the normal FIFO rule strategy cannot be applied during the component consumption.
The raw material (sugar) is received in tank S5 at different points of time, and its content is transferred to tank B1 for storage purposes as well as for mix the sugar with other material such as water.
At a specific moment the S5 tank contains only a single batch, while the tank B1 contains more than one batch. Tank B1 is used in order to supply the production line and the corresponding material consumption is triggered in backflush as soon as the production activity is declared (production confirmation). Along with the material consumption the batch determination takes place and a complex algorithm is applied: at a very high level, the single batch is consumed depending on its percentage inside the mix of composition and in case the this
percentage is under a threshold level the current batch should be full used in order to avoid that it will exist for ever.
Moreover, the good movement reversal (reversal of material consumption) and its correction lead to a complete new calculation of all the batches consumed after the original movement date/time. This means that the algorithm for batch determination should be reapplied for all the consumptions subsequent to the original movement.
On the other hand it’s not possible to identify the mix of batches at the exit point of silos B1 because the total consumption of the material in the tank will never happen. As long as the tank level decreases it will be filled up from the tank used for receiving of sugar (S5).
As requirement AMSB needs to post the material consumption starting from EWM, this means that EWM should be the master system in this case and the correspondingmovements have to be transferred to ECC afterwards. This mainly because EWM should guarantee the business continuity in case the ERP system is not available.
AMSB asked if the scenario depicted has been implemented in some customer, in EWM system or in any other SAP solution.

At the time of consumption you can put ' * ' aestrix sign in the batch field.
You will get list of batches of that material.select ur batch and consume the quantity.

Thanks for your replay.
No really I don't like to make the batch mandatory, during the good issue is not feasible inform the batch due to it is not managed in the Process Control System. Due to the behavior of PI_CONS if for batch managed materials the batch is not informed in the message or in the reservation an error is trigger. In the reservation snot feasible inform the batch because in that moment is unknown.
My question is if it is feasible some how have like FIFO batch determination when the process message is processed without creating a custom message.

G/L Account hits for Production Planning (Process Industry)

Dear Experts,
Please I want to know the G/L Acounts that will be hit/updated during a Process order execution cycle enumerated as follows;
RawMaterials: R09 & R19, SemiFinished: S24, Finished: F29
Each of the three material types above has a different valuation class.
Using Process Order 100000, materials R09 & R19 are processed to produce S24
Using Process Order 100001, material S24 is then processed to produce F29
Confirmation of process order is then carried out using tcode cor6. ( default activities 'Machine & Labour' proposed by the system were also confirmed along with 'Yield' ) And batch number generated for the output products.
The Process Orders are then set to Technically Cpomplete and Order Settlement carried out using tcode co88.
What are the G/L accounts that will be hit in this transaction for
1. Goods issue(261)?
2. Goods receipt(101)?
3. Activities (Laour & Machine)
4. Order Settlement?

Process to split production order based on the raw material batches

Hi All, below is a business situation which needs some some SAP process to help overcoming this issue.
We are working on process industry, where the core fabric (SFG) are produced from different machines and which are used as raw material in the subsequent process (Coating). Business wants SAP to generate individual planned orders for Coating when it uses this materials
e.g
Current situation.
SFG1 is the component of SFG2
SFG2 is the component of FG.
When the demand for FG is 100, you get 2 planned orders SFG1- 100 yd and SFG2- 100 yds
During production, the Planned order for SFG1 is split for 2 production order each producing 50 yds each.
Now I have SFG1 - 50 yds ( Batch A001), and SFG1- 50 yds ( Batch A002).
Now Business wants SAP to automatically propose 2 order for SFG2, However based on MRP it will only show 1 planned order of 100 yds required for SFG2 since the demand of FG is 100.
We want to split the planned orders of the higher level to look at lower level stock.
Any ideas or thought process.

Sarvan,
You can have MRP propose two lots of SFG2 based upon lot sizing. For instance, if you always will want SFG2 to have orders of 50 each, then one way to achieve this would be to set the 'maximum lot size' to 50. MRP1 Tab of the material master.
There are other lotsizing methodologies that may be better suited to your business requirements as well.

maybe you should apply the settings written by me in my previous message since you can see the consumption of components in this report. Paste the movement type field in the layout and you will see 261.

you can paste the field ('Order') in the layout that contains the PrdOrd no.
MB53
Run the report > pusch 'consumption' button. That's all.
You should examine these reports and try to use them. You can get the information from COOIS ( components and from MB51.

How do i get raw files from my canon7dmark11 into my lightroom5?

i am unable to transfer my raw files from my canon 7Dmark 11,into my lightroom 5,i been able to do this with my other cameras,i.e. 7d and 5d mark11
please advise how to do this

LR 5.7 was new enough to support the 7D Mark II but installing LR 5.7.1 shouldn’t have hurt anything, either. The gray boxes where thumbnails should be on the import grid usually indicate a bad monitor profile but since you’re getting an internal error message perhaps something else is wrong.
What numeric version of operating system are you running on your Mac, like OSX 10.10 or OSX 10.7.5 or what? I am a PC person so can’t tell you exactly how to find this, but perhaps one of the options under the Apple logo, somewhere?
When you purchased LR, did you get the serial-number-licensed version or did you buy the subscription to the Photography Plan which includes both LR and PS for $10/month.

Daily production plan for operations

Hi, One Production order generally runs for more than 1 month and consist of more than 100 operations and order qty will be one. in this case we want to prepare daily prod plan for operations not for qty. say on 1.6.09 we will do cutting operation, 2.06.09 willdo painting etc in monthly prod paln or weekly prod plan? pls guide how to map this?

In production order you will get the details of operation plan and scheduling.
So in OPK8 do the setting for print of LG02 Op. control ticket, LG03 Job Ticket, LV01Time ticket,
Take a print through CO04N - Print and sent it on shop floor also.
You use the report like MCPW - Lead times or MCPK.

The requirement is to execute the cost estimate quaterly for planned price 1.
So we are planning to create separate costing variant to pick the planned price 1 of RM.
Clinet has the Excel file with the details of RM and Price combination but the prices are not available in SAP.
We are looking for the Mass transaction to upload the prices in Planned price 1.

had missed 5th point. ie Rollout to the client laptops . the amount of time it takes will be based on the kind of customization and kind of issues that you face in your application . etc.
Repostiroy upgrade from n to n+1 release will take approx 1-2 hours (with out additinal language) and it is correct.
I have given you the rough estimates so that you will get a fair idea how much time it is going to take.

How to enter / Post Goods receipt of Raw Material from subcontractor

As standard subcontracting procedure, Raw Material Transfer posting is made to Subcontracting Vendor
and the Semi finished material [Assembly] is received from the subcontractor.
If in case extra or by any reason, raw material stock is with subcontractor, he want to return the raw material stock.
How to receive raw material stock from subcontracting vendor and how to handle subcontracting challan transactions in SAP ?

You can use T Code MC.9, where you can give the period wise selection for a combination of maerial and plant. Look at the editing parameters in the change layout options and refine your search.

Sale wrt STO of raw material from a manufacturing plant to other plant

Hi Gurus,
My scenario is that, I have procured a raw material for PLANT A. At the time of procurement it hits RG23A PART1 AND RG23A PART2 registers. Now I want to sell this raw material without any value addition to other PLANT B of the same company code.
Here the excise requirement is that at the time of delivery it should hit RG23A PAR1 AND PART2 and should not hit RG1 register.
i request you to pls guide me how to execute this process in SAP so that it satisfies excise requirements.

Seems you need new mov type- ( in place of 641)
is this requirement is only for Raw material STO??
Generally , even when you do STO for Raw Material,as per excise it should hit RG1- Not sure,why you want it to be posted in RG23A reg.

Getting RAW pics from canon camera

Hello.
Maybe you have the answer to my problem. I have a canon 350d, and have used jpegs all the time, as i can't seem to get RAW files onto my computer. I usually use the microsoft camera wizard to get my pics off the camera. so, i got photshop cs2 and adoba bridge, thinking this might help get the raw from the camera. no luck. so i got pixmantec and picasso on the advice of others but still no go. so today i loaded the raw converter plug in from adobe's site and still no go.
Have i done something wrong in a past life to warrant this? Am i just missing something? does anybody know an easy way to explain to this donkey what way redemption lies?

This is a known issue "design feature" of the Canon driver software. Can you tell me how to create MDX query to get the values from two cubes. (One hierarchy from first cube and one hierarchy from second cube)

According to your description, you want to retrieve data from two different cubes, right? The short answer is yes. To query multiple cubes from a single MDX statement use the LOOKUPCUBE function (you can't specify multiple cubes in your FROM statement).
The LOOKUPCUBE function will only work on cubes that utilize the same source database as the cube on which the MDX statement is running. For the detail information about it, please refer to the link below to see the blog.
