My live production server has crashed. what is disaster recovery for it.
fruther. how i restore its backup to another server like DEV or QA

    Nadeem,
You would have to use the back up of your production data, preferrably an export, and transport that into DEV or QA.

  • EAS server getting Crashed (EAS issue in Hyperion 9.2.0.3 environment)

We are facing serious issues with analytic administrative services(EAS services - web logic) in production environment. This service frequently shut downs and has to be restarted using Sev 2 services requests with IT team. concerned over the issue happening frequently.
This is a second instance in couple of weeks, we have reached Oracle and provided all the details requested from them. We even had made changes as per Oracle's recommendation.
The first time this happened, we changed the web logic settings so that the log could be comprehended for some credible information.
then restrted the EAS it started genrating a detailed log.EAS crashed again.
can any one or gurus quickly help on this as this is a production issue.
if anyone has faced similar kind of issues in thier environments please share your experiences what you did to resolve this problem.
    Thanks
    Ram

There isn't any easy way that I know of. I've had this issue at two different locations, and both times the unix techs were convinced that there was no port conflict, as whatever they were looking at didn't show one. Yet when we changed the settings, the problem went away. I'd just change them to test it out. It won't hurt anything.
    Are you unix or windows?

  • StuckThreadMaxTime, exceeds(more than 600s) server is getting crashed

    Hi All,
We have one functionality like bulk warranty and entitlement, where user can upload a text file which contain more than 1000 lines. If multiple users are uploading at a time, separate thread is creating for each users and it exceeds StuckThreadMaxTime, more than 600s, web logic server getting crashed, and production application is getting down. It would be grateful if any one can help on this.

  • VO Query returning "No Data to Display" on production server

    Hello,
I have a simple application that displays data taken from an external oracle database.
I have 2 pages, one displaying a list of house, the second one displaying the details of a house.
I get that "master / detail" relationship via the executeWithParams.
Both my Development machine and production server gets their information from the same database, using the same credentials.
My problem is that on the production server, the details page returns a "no data to display" in the table I use to show the detailed information. On the development machine it runs just fine. The list master page runs just fine on both environment.
    I'm using jdev 11.1.2.3.0.
The tables I access are not owned by the user I use in my credentials, but I do have GRANT_SELECT on the said tables.
I've looked at the logs and I do not see any error as to why no data is returned in production.

You can try giving the table GRANT ALL TO PUBLIC and verify if the table has a Synonym in the data base.

  • Reports Server Process gets crashed in 10.1.2.3.0

    Hi,
We have 5 standalone production reports servers (10.1.2.3) load balanced through netscalar. We observed that the reports server process gets crashed intermittently which kills the reports jobs in the queue. Error as below is seen in the ipm.log under $ORACLE_HOME/opmn
    08/08/12 10:38:21 [4] Process Crashed: rep_brnors05_frs_standalone~ReportsServer~rep_brnors05_frs_standalone~1 (498925945:6108) - Restarting
    08/08/12 10:38:27 [4] Starting Process: rep_brnors05_frs_standalone~ReportsServer~rep_brnors05_frs_standalone~1 (498925946:0)
    08/08/12 10:38:34 [4] Process Alive: rep_brnors05_frs_standalone~ReportsServer~rep_brnors05_frs_standalone~1 (498925946:2836)
Any idea wat could be causing the problem.. any configuration changes that need to be done like to set or increase some timeout parameters in the rep_server.conf, etc. Each time process crash is for exact 6 secs. It clears the failed jobs queue during this time. Do not see any jobs starting or ending during these 6 seconds.
    Reports server version - 10.1.2.3.0
    Platform - Windows
    Report server type - Standalone
(Affecting our production environment ... Any suggestions, workarounds are highly appreciated)

    Michael,
Below is the file change. When we set it to 'true' Viewer performed correctly.

    2. Then a new configuration parameter "passNullParameterAsNull" needs to be set in configuration.xml under <viewer section with default value as false and which is an optional one. Usage :
    <viewer queryRefreshPeriod="3000" queryRequestTimeout="1000" longRequestRefreshPeriod="6000" longRequestTimeout="10000" userDefinedConnections="true" passNullParameterAsNull="true" logLevel="debug" laf="dc_blaf" pageNavigation="true" switchWorksheetBehavior="prompt" defaultLocale="en" disableBrowserCaching="false" enableAppsSSOConnection="false">
When passNullParameterAsNull="false" , that means, when null is passed as parameter from one sheet to another during drill to link, the value will be converted in between to the value which is set as "ShowNullValueAs" in second sheet. eg: if ShowNullValueAs = "" in second sheet. Null value passed from first sheet will reach as value "" in second sheet. If passNullParameterAsNull="true", then Null value will always be passed as Null to second sheet irrespective of the value of "ShowNullValueAs" in second sheet.

  • How to get the Change node in Production Server!!!!!

    Hi Guys,
Kindly let me know how to get the Change node in Production Server for the Transaction Code Pe03 for generating the Acknowledgement No for the year 2008 .
Plz provide me the steps how to get the Change Node for Acknowledgement No so tat i can get the configuration done.
    Regards
    Ansuman Mohanty.

    Hi Mr!
If you want to generate the e-file feature 40ACK, do it in our Customization client box (Golden box) & save the request & move to Quality & production.
Still if you need to workout only in Production, than with the help of Basis people you can get the Production change mode for 5 to 10 min time & can generate it. But mostly Basis people wont give us change mode for Production box ... with ur request they can do..try it.
Did u collected 4 quarter TAN no's for 2008 Quarter...if not collect it & generate it at a time.
    All the best:-)
    Kind Regards,

  • Getting font problem for printing form in Production server.

    Hi experts,
We are getting problem while printing form in production server. As it gives no problem in Quality server while printing the same, the print is fine. We applied packages from 26 to 28 level for version 4.7. When we moved this packages to Production server we got problem of font while printing the form for some of scripts. But the surprise is that in Quality server the print is fine, no problem at all.
Can any one suggest me on this issue.
    Regards,
    Sagun Desai.

    Hi sagun,
Please check the spool request generated on production server using tcode SP01.
Goto dispaly spool request and check the spool. If the spool too displays your script correctly then there is a problem in printer connected to production server.
The printer connected to the test server  might be rightly conffigured to print the output. Please check the settings of the printer connected to the production.
    Hope this helps.

Did you mean status page on Production Community instance shows errors related to CAS? What does status page on Management Community instance shows in this case? The same?
Are there any errors in logs?
Did you register Community instances in the SystemSatellite table?

First, you should verify that SP13 has been installed properly as it addresses
several "assert" errors. If the service pack was installed per the installation
documentation, you should contact BEA WebLogic support and report this problem
    for an answer/resolution.
    Thanks,
    Charlie

  • ESXi 4.0  with sun storagetek 2500 array server is getting crashed

    Hi all,
I have configured ESXi 4.0 in an IBM server followed by creating virtual host in that server. The server was working fine until I connect the server with storage array.
    My setup looks like this.
IBM Server installed with ESXi 4.0 (linux version) followed by virtual host creation. the virtual host is Windows 2008 - 64 bit. Once all this setup were made, I have installed a software called CAM module in this server. This module is to manage my Sun storagetek 2500 array family. Suddenly i see my ESXi server (licensed one) is getting crashed. Following is the error message displayed.
    Vmware ESXI release build_164009 x86_64
    #PF Exception(14) in world 5354:sfcbd in 0X418028840C99 addr 0X410008ebdd84
Press escape to enter local debugger
I got a work around from one of the forum for this similar problem as "increase the swap size may solve this". but i tried that also , but still the issue persists. Swap size is set as twice of the RAM (my ram is with 4 GB,2X dual core AMD processor and HDD capacity is 80GB)
can anyone help me on this.
    With regards,
    Sri

    Hello,
if it's that urgent, why do you post in a user-to-user forum instead of getting in touch with tech support of Vmware, IBM, Microsoft and maybe Sun ?

  • Windows Server 2008R2 crash, 0x50 (0x461f20c, 0x0, 0x77446b59, 0x8)

As the title states, we had a crash with the following stop code message:
"The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.  The bugcheck was: 0x00000050 (0x000000000461f20c, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000077446b59, 0x0000000000000008). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 081610-34257-01."
The Server has Hyper-V installed and was hosting one Server 03 VM at the time.  The only third party known software installed was Symantec Endpoint Protection, though it also has a SCOM/DPM/SCCM agent installed.  No SCCM deployment was running
or at a deadline, nor was it time for a DPM backup.  I found a couple of different hotfixes that may or may not be relevant and I also have the bugcheck report below.  Any help on figuring out what is needed would be appreciated.  As of now
there has only been one failure, but this server hosts for production, and is part of a set of identical servers, so we are pretty nervous.
