Products certification on Metalink

Could somebody tell me how could I verify on Metalink if 9i Oracle Management Server works with a 10g database repository ?
I tried on Metalink: Certify --> View Certifications by Product ... but the certification is for the SO and not for combination of software.
Thanks for your help,
Paul

Certify - Certification Matrix: Oracle Management Server on Solaris Operating System (SPARC)
OS      Product      Server      Status      Addtl. Info.      Components      Other
9      9.2      9.2 64-bit      Certified      None      None      None
8      9.2      9.2 64-bit      Certified      None      None      None
10      9.2      9.2 64-bit      Not Planned      None      None      None
2.6      9.2      9.2           Certified      None      None      None
8      9.2      9.2           Certified      None      None      None
7      9.2      9.2           Certified      None      None      NoneThe way I read it, the 3rd column is the repository dtabase. It looks like tey didn;t even try to install it into a 10g database.
However, install on 9i and upgrade to 10g might work?
Since you have Metalink, perhaps an 'information SR' is in order?

  • Certifications in Metalink

    Hi,
Life was easier with the old metallink.. new one ....... to the core..
i was trying to find certifications for ebiz on windows, but ended up with nothing.
    so finally gave these options..
select Oracle E-business Suite in Product line and hit Search.. Nothing turns up.. What am i missing?
    thanks.

    Hi,
To clarify, click the 'Other certification information' link on the page and then 'Oracle E-Business Suite'. You may also find it by ID which is 964664.1. Good luck. The steps in Note: 964664.1 make it works properly, thanks for the tip!

  • No APEX product option on MetaLink Create SR page

Am I missing something or is there really no option in MetaLink to create an SR for an ApEx issue?
    Gregory.

Metalink does not supply any help for Apex because Apex never fails! OK, so maybe that isn't the case. Make sure to click the show all button next to product.
THe Apex option is: Oracle Application Express (formerly HTML DB)

  • Regarding certification in SAP-XI

    Hello.....
I have a query about certification in SAP XI.i want to know how to apply for certification in XI.how to register for exam date and center all these.........I am in United States. what are the prerequisitions to write the certification?what will be the fee ? please give do the favour of sending all details to write the cetification in XI
    Thanks and regards,
    Hima Ravi

    Hi Hima,
I now see the reasoning behind your question and it clearer for someone to answer.  There are two types of certifications, product and consulting.  If you are a consultant and want to get certified to demonstrate your skillset, then you want to take either the dev. or tech. consultant certification.  Sign up here at: http://www50.sap.com/useducation/certification/examcontent.asp
However, if your company has build some kind of XI adapter, XI content or XI content for IS, then this is a product certification.  Here is more information: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn?rid=/webcontent/uuid/c34cd7f0-0601-0010-fb84-e4c4cd97d6cf. [original link is broken]  Companies who are signed up for one of these are trying to establish a partnership with SAP.
I hope this answers your question!

Well your site does not mention anything about product certification, it only talks about Sun Certification of Progammers. If you have any idea about product certification, please let me know asap.

  • Certification of Oracle Linux 6 with Oracle Database 11gR2?

    Dear Oracle Corporation,
You released Oracle Database 11gR2 in September, 2009.
Then, you released Oracle Linux 6 on 12 Feb 2011.
Then, you released Oracle Linux 6.1 on 1 Jun 2011.
Then, you released Oracle Linux 6.2 on 20 Dec 2011.
And, here we are on 21 Feb 2012, and you still have not certified Oracle Database 11gR2 (your most recent and up to date version of the database that's currently available!) with Oracle Linux 6!
You think you'll get around to that, any time soon?
    All my love,
    -Mark

    Hi Hans;
    Thanks for answer ;)
Because it is not a certifiaction issue. It is a timing issue, and that is in the hands of the legal department. Support can do absolutely nithing about it, and if they indicate a date, the Support Analyst will likely get fired. Please imagine, let us say my company always prefer to work lastest version of server, oracle products and also OS because of company policy. If I want to use 11gR2 with lastest version there is no problem. Because Oracle suggest to use lastest oracle version because of new futures wiht less bugs. So in my company happy with to use lastes oracle products and my company always want to work oracle linux. Big bosses ask the manager " Why we are still using old OEL 5.x version, there are already new products avaliable at market, If oracle 5.x perfect why they made annoucement new products, If they not certified wiht their other products why they create new OS, is it bad to use *nix 6 instead of 5?
So I wonder thah question and Dont I have a right to get to find some answers from oracle which I pay xxx$million dolar each year for their products and their metalink support.
So if its timing issue and let us say again I am only using windows not any other OS. Why oracle publish same product for different OS? If its timing issue than there are huge difference between annoucement
You released Oracle Database 11gR2 in September, 2009.

Then, you released Oracle Linux 6.1 on 1 Jun 2011.
Then, you released Oracle Linux 6.2 on 20 Dec 2011.2009 and 2012 ? It isnt big timing issue? :)
Anyway thanks for answer once more.. Let us see when some product will be certified wiht newer OS.

    Hi,
Oracle WebLogic Server Downloads can be found at http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/wls_main.html
I believe Oracle WebLogic Server is not certified yet on Windows 7 64-bit, and this explains why you cannot find installation files to download. More details about the product certification can be found at:

If, on the next page http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oracle9i/htdocs/win64soft.html
you click on product certification information, you can see "Certify - Oracle's Certification Matrices".
If you choose "View Certifications by Platform", etc, and you arrive here http://www.oracle.com/technology/support/metalink/index.html
If you choose "View Certifications by Product", etc, and you arrive here http://www.oracle.com/technology/support/metalink/index.html, and you can read "32-bit/64-bit Information, read this http://www.oracle.com/technology/support/metalink/index.html.
As I well understand, on EM64T, install Windows 2003 32-bits, after what you can install Oracle 9.2.0.2 64-bits.
    If anybody can confirm it...

  • Forms and Reports 6i with Windows XP

I have a problem with Forms and Reports 6i and Windows XP Pro. Forms crashes when the layout editor is starting. Also when Reports is starting a blue screen comes up. With another user, the problem does not occur! When the profile ist reset for the unsuccessful user it functions correct for a while.
It seems, that the user profile in certain situations will be corrupt with Forms and Reports 6i under XP.
The installation CD I have used is Forms and Reports 6i Release 2 for MS Windows 95/98/NT.
Can somebody help me to solve this problem?

    I have read on Metalink:
MS Windows XP Professional certification: XP is currently not certified or supported on any release of Designer/SCM (Awaiting other related (IDS) products certification).
Maybe the problem is caused by this.

Oracle8i is not certified on Windows XP Professional. The earliest Oracle DB release certified on Windows XP Professional is 9.0.1. To get more info on Oracle product certifications, checkout the certification matrix available on MetaLink. It's accessible from OTN home page -> Get Support -> Product certifications drop-down menu.
