Unzip directly in Linux and see what happens.

Try opening as a copy, and/or copying the file to a new location and try opening that.

  • Can I include raw files into the installer folder with LV application builder?

    Hello,
I have created a batch file that will run at the end of the installer, which will copy over some raw configuration files into the source destination so that the configuration files can be customized for each end user without rebuilding the installer with application builder. I also have an autorun.inf so the installer will automatically run when the user installs the CD.
However I would like to have some default configuration files and an autorun.inf file that will be automatically added to the installer "volume" folder using the application builder.
However I don't see a way to include raw files in the "volume" folder. It appears all source files in the application builder are embedded into the binary files.
Please let me know if this is possible with the current application builder.

  • Imported par file to NWDS, jar file missing. Where find par file structure?

    Hi All,
We want to implement idle session timeout on the portal.  We found a wiki here on the subject.  In order to implement the solution we need to make adjuestments to com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par.bak.  When we import this par file to Netweaver Developer Studio, the libraries and jar files are missing.  So obviously it errors then in portal as files are missing.
So I could add them manually but I don't know what the file structure is on this par file so don't where to add what.  Does anyone know?
Also when I export the file after manually adding the missing files, will it export all the files or will it behave the same way as the import and leave out the additional files?
If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it,
    Kind regards,
    Liz.

    Hi Bala,
I thought of that just before you responded and it worked!!  Thanks for the response..

  • Music files missing/hidden in folder on network hdd

    Hi all,
I have setup my home net work with a iMac (mountain Lion) backed up by a TimeCapsule and at the back of the TimeCapsule I have a 2TB networked external HDD. My iTunes library is located on this HDD, I take care not to start up iTunes before this networked external HDD has propoerly mounted to avoid any conflicts with links to my itunes library files and folders.
The other day I noticed a few missing files (the dreaded exclamation mark !), not too bad a figured, I located a few manually but reached some that does my head in...... Out of the whole album there are two files "missing", the other ones play as they should. When I try and locate the missing files the folder comes up empty.....
I have even checked the songs that do play in the same album....they dont show up either, even though they still play in iTunes (yes, they are all located at the same location). The album was originally ripped from a CD and I don't use iTunes Match or Genius.
I have tried to find the files by:
1."open in finder" - files missing / whole folder empty
2."through finder and located the drive and folder" - files missing / folder empty
3."copy file location from "get info" and paste into "go to folder" - the file temporarily appears in the finder window but dissapears shortly after / folder yet again empty.
    4. I check the folder "get info" from my finder and it says "zero bytes"
    5. I can't use Search because its on an external HDD and there fore not indexed
6.I have tried to copy the folder to the desktop but still shows empty....
    7. I have tried to "organise" my library, still no change.
    What the..xxx..is happening..?
From what I can gather, the files are actually there but not visible through the finder window (even though the folder appears to be 0 bytes).
The problem being that I can't locate my missing files because I cant see them any more......
Am I missing something (like show hidden folder on a Mac) or has it got to do with anything else...? How can I fix it..? I have found posts that relate to windows users forced their W7 to show hidden folders but nothing yet on Mac.....
    Help.
    //Fred

I was lucky to be able to use a PC, that after trying numerous times actually read the external hdd, I quickly copied all files over to a backup hdd and recovered all files. After that I ended up in contact with Western Digital about the incident and they recommended to completely erase (7-pass erase) of the hdd, which ended up taking over 5 days to do. They gave me no reason as to "Why" it would have happened but if I erase and reformatted of the hdd and the problem reoccurred they recommended to get the unit replaced.
I was lucky to recover all my files.....keep trying on different computers if you can, and copy what you can get hold of. The 7-pass erase will delete pretty much every trace of information on the hdd with no chance of recovery.
So far since the incident its been running ok but I not longer trust the hdd to be stable. Not a simple nor quick process / solution I'm afraid.
    Good luck!
Once you have recovered your files (or as many as you can get hold of) and ready to erase the hdd:
(THIS WILL ERASE ALL YOUR DATA, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP BEFORE PROCEEDING)
Connect the drive directly to the Mac, open Disk Utility.
Select the drive and click on the "Erase" tab Select the "7-times zeros" to completely erase the drive.
Once the erase have completed format the drive to your selection.

  • Jar files missing

    Hi,
I am trying to work on PAPI but the PDf says about a lot of jar needed but i dont sem to have these jars. Can you tell me where wud i get them or can someone send it across on my email id.
    ftdirprov.jar
    ftresources.jar
    fuegofdi-impl.jar
    fuegofdi-project.jar
    Thanks,
    KRupa

Make sure of the following things
    1) Make sure you have installed the Enterprise version of the product. PAPI API will not work in Studio version of the product
    2) Most of the PAPI client jar files will be found in the <ALBPM_HOME>/enterprise/client/papi directory. But depending upon what kind of database you are using, you will have to use the right JDBC driver jar files. These jar files will surely be found under - <ALBPM_HOME>/enterprise/webapps/portal/WEB-INF/lib
You will have to combine jar from these two locations for making PAPI client to work.
    3) Make sure you use J2SDK 5 env for running the PAPI client code and not just JRE 5.0.
I was using ALBPM 5.7 SP1 Standalone version with SQL Server and the list of jar files I had to use were in the following link

  • Executing a jar file from an arbitrary folder

I got a small problem in detemining the path of my application's jar file. I am starting the application by executing a batch, lets say MyApp.bat (using it on windows and unix), this batch file consists of one line 'java -jar MyApp.jar', MyApp.jar being in the same folder.
Now lets say MyApp.bat and MyApp.jar are in folder 'A' and my current working directory is a parallel folder 'B', so I can invoke the batch file from there(!) by executing '../A/MyApp.bat'. But now the VM tries to find MyApp in the current working directory which is still 'B' and not 'A'. A simple solution would be to use a script which determines the directory of MyApp.jar and include the generated path in the call to the VM (I didn't try yet, but I guess this will awkward doing it on windows)
Since I don't think I am the first person executing a java program via a script from an arbitrary folder in a file system, I hoped that there might be a more elegant way. Unfortunately I couldn't find another solution yet.
    Regards,
    Stefan

In MyApp.bat your line should read (NT/2K/XP/2003/Vista):java -jar "%~dp0MyApp.jar"Regards

  • Updating a JAR file in a shared folder

    Hi,
I have a JDK 6 Swing app running in a Windows Terminal Server. All users share the same JAR file. I start it using a bat file something like this:
start /b c:\progra~1\java\jre\bin\javaw -jar gestor.jarAll works fine when users share the same JAR.
However, when I try to update JAR file to a new version, "sometimes" (not always) when there are some users with JAR file running by JVM, it occurs some strange behaviours with the app, errors like JVM would become lost/crazy with a JAR in RAM and other JAR in disk.
Is not this a good approach to update the app? Is it better to disconnect all users before update app?

I don't know what SUNs policy on this is. But if I were you, I'd create a link (shortcut in windows) to the JAR file, and when you have a new version, put it in the same folder as the previous release, but with a different name, and update the link/shortcut. Users should only know about the link/shortcut. Depending on the behaviour of the windows shortcut, users using the JAR file will still use the old file as you update the link to point to the new file. Feasible?

I am trying to install and configure Nexus 1000v, for the first time and looking to configure the second stage of linking the Nexus 1000v switch to vCenter and from tutorials and white papers say to continue the install using a .jar file. However not seeing this file in the latest release in 1000v zip file.
I can see this .jar file in the version 4 release and re-downloaded the v5 just incase it was corrupt and from a different machine; no .jar file.

  • Installation folder for per user

    Hello,
We use VMware Thinapp to install some programs with a MSI. We have a user collection to deploy the app and therefore install for a user. The SCCM installs the MSI to the APPDATA folder which is the roaming folder in the user profile. We use roaming profiles
and to prevent big profiles we would like to change the installation directory to LOCALAPPDATA, which is the LOCAL folder in the profile.
Is there a way to overwrite the standard installation location for a MSI using a command switch?
    Thanks,
    Edy from Switzerland

ConfigMgr doesn't apply any magic to the installation of a MSI. If the MSI is configured to install in certain directories then there isn't anything that ConfigMgr can do outside the normal MSI command line properties.
I did a quick search for you and I think something like the following article could be a work around:

  • Maximum number of files supported in a folder for FileTable feature

    Hi,
I have implemented a solution using SQL 2012 FileTable with an expected workload of 150K files a year. File's size is not that big, just a few KB EDI file but I am wondering what is supported/recommended limit of number of files in a folder for FileTable?

The theoretical limit is the NTFS volume limit. This is provided in the below article.

However the practical limit depends on your application and business scenario. You can read about FILESTREAM and FileTable internals and about performance considerations from the below excellent article

  • SAPExtractorCommandLine.jar file missing.

    Hi Gang,
We running 2.1 Java version of Nakisa OrgChart in a staged install.  Everythinng is now running as it should and I would like to schedule a regular extraction of the data from ERP.
Page 34 of the Nakisa OrgChart Administrators Guide references the file SAPExtractorCommandLine.jar for scheduling the Staged Extraction process.  The documentation does not elaborate and the file does not exist.
So my question is where can I download this file from and what are the command line options for scheduling the extraction?
I also saw references to SAPExtractorCommandLine.EXE which also doesn't exist and I suspect this is for a .Net installation.
Before I log an message back to Nakisa I thought I would ask here first as I assumed it would be a common request.
    Cheerio,
    Jon.

    Hi Jon,
Did you install Service Pack 1.0? This contains fixes for the extractor so it may be that installation of this will create the file. I did notice in the Java Admin guide that the section on the Scheduling Extractions is missing, although it exists in the .NET version. The command-line executable follows this syntax:
    SAPExtractorCommandLine.exe [-b[=]buildname] [-e[=]true|false] [-j[=]true|false] [-a[=]true|false] [-p[=]true|false] [-h]
The following table describes the switches:
-build -b Runs the extractor based on the configurations of the specified build name. The currently published build is used by default. Typically, this switch is not specified as the configurations of the currently published are most often used.
-extract -e Extracts data from the SAP server. The default value is "true".
-joins -j Executes joins on extracted data. If "true", the extractor retains any table joins or relationships contained in the source data. The default value is "true".
-analytics -a Generates analytics that were defined in the Configure Analytics wizard. Only analytics that were enabled are generated. The default value is "false".
-pause -p Requires the user to press a key before exiting. The default value is "false".
-help -h Displays the syntax and description of the available switches for SAPExtractorCommandLine.exe.
    Note the following about switches:
1 Switch names or letters can be used; for example, "-build" or "-b".
2 Attribute values are defined after each switch and must be preceded by a space or "=".
3 The default value is used if a switch is not specified.
    I hope that helps.
    Kind regards,
    Luke

  • Some music files missing in iTunes folder, yet work fine in iTunes

I am using current version of iTunes on OSX 10.7.5.
Let's use a song for example:  Piano Man - by Billy Joel on the Greatest Hits album
In iTunes, this song works fine and all songs are there.
If I go to finder>user>music>itunes>itunes music>Billy Joel>Greatest Hits> .....  and not all the songs are there, maybe just a couple.  We will say Piano Man is missing right now.
If I go to iTunes and click on Piano Man> Show in Finder....  it takes me to the mentioned folder and then suddenly some more songs appear including Piano Man.
I don't like this because my backup hard drive is not backing up all my music, some of it is missing.  What's going on?

    Found the issue:
At first glance my itunes music folder looks normal, but after some careful reading of the location data...it turns out all of my music is also stored in a subfolder "MUSIC" in with all the artist names.  I found this after discussing with a genius today while having my battery replaced.  Together we found the issue.
How?  iTunes at some point started making a MUSIC and MOVIES and maybe some other folders in the iTunes folder.  When I redid my library some time ago, it must have changed the directory and copied all my music to the user/music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Music folder.  This would also explain why I found that sometimes my library took up more data than I had expected.  iTunes would say 45 GB but the folder would say 90GB.

  • Xbean.jar file missing from install of 8.1.5 express

    Hi,
I just recently installed 8.1.5 express for development purposes. We are currently developing for an application running 8.1.5 server. I'd had version 8.1.4 running locally and in server/lib xbean.jar existed and we use it in our application. Now, that I've installed 8.1.5 this file no longer exists. I downloaded and installed the package version for pentium windows from the BEA download. Is there anything special during the install that I should have selected to have the xbean.jar installed?
