Productwise credit limit for a customer

Hi All,
Is it possible to maintain credit limit productwise (Divisionwise )for a customer.
we sell different products like Washing machine,Air conditioner ,Refrigrator etc which we classify as division in SD Module . we want to maintain credit limit for a customer productwise.ie seperate limit for Washing Machine, Air Cond and ref etc .
same should be checked at the time of creating sales order (VA01).
If some one have any solution for the above scenario please let me know.
Thanks & Regards
Meenakshi

Hi,
There is no standard functionality available to have the credit limits at product level, but try to build the logics and process through the three exits available in credit Management.
Also,
You  can do is set credit limit, Credit control area wise.
You can use multiple credit control area, and assign the CCA to separate sales areas ( That will represent the different Region / Products, as per your requirement).
The assignment can be done in the below path:
IMG> Enterprise Structure>Assignment>Sales and Distribution>Assign sales area to credit control area
Here for combination of Sales Organisation , Distribution channel and Division you can assign separate credit control areas.
While the Distribution channels can be defined Region wise, the Divisions can be defined Product wise.
Now in FD32, Set the Credit limit of the customer , Credit control area wise.
regards,
Siddharth.

    Hi,
Credit limit is maintained on payer level and you are not able in standard to split it between sold-to or assign N sold-to to one global limit. You have to extend the credit control functionality to check the credit limit additionally for the global limit customer. Unfortunatelly you cannot implement it without development.

  • How can i maintain seasional wise credit limit for the customer

    please
    help me the scenario
    regards
    ram

    hello, friend.
you can do this in OVA8.
let's say the usual business cycle is that sales always grows to 20% above normal during the month of december.  your company decides to increase the customer's credit by 5% during this period.
for this, go to OVA8.  in the 'Credit limit seasonal factor' enter '5%' and specify from 01 december 2008 to 31 december 2008.  then assign the risk category to the credit account via FD32.
the date range is specific and is not automatically renewable.  you must also remove the entries here if the requirement is no longer active.
    regards.

  • Additional Credit Limit for certain period

    Dear Friends,
My Client want a functionality where we can give additional credit limit for particular customer for particular duration.
Since the value for each customer will vary we cannot use credit limit seasonal factor in OVA8.
I want to maintain a Z Table with Customer No., From Date, To date and additional limit.
But how can I force the system to add this value in credit limit given in FD32 while performing credit check in sales order.
We are using the static credit check and in same functionality this additional limit value should be added if customer is maintained in Z table and if it falls within specified date.
    Please advice.
    Regards
    Mayank

    Dear Mayank
If possible make different credit control areas.
    decentralised credit management.
for each credit limit , set the credit amount.
change the credit control area for the customers as per additional credit limit .
A proper setting in FD32 , OVA8 and horizon period may give the results,
    just an example-
                                     ex1      /  ex2
credit controlarea - ABC      /  xyz
    Credit amount      - 100$     /  150$
    horizon period     - 2months /  1month

  • Temporarily Increase Customer credit limit for va01

    Hi,
My requirement is we want increase credit limit for customers for 1 or 2 days in temporarily basic or va01 order release purpose .
I maintained customer wise temporary credit & valid from and to dates in a z-table. How to solve this problem without using credit management FD32.
    regards,
    moon.

Your requirement to increase Credit LImit of Customer for 1 - 2 days based on a Z-Table is not possible in SAP Standard. Also you dont want to use FD32.
Now in OVA8, Under Checks you have three Boxes for User 1, 2, & 3. There are the Enchancement Points give by SAP for you to implement your Z-Requirment in Credit Management.
You Requirement will have to be mapped in a Z-Development, speak to your ABAPer & he can write a code in User Exit which will refer your Z-Table & do the needful.
    Hope this helps,

  • FSCM-Credit limit for group of customer

    Hi all,
Please advised how to set up in FSCM-CR for the following scenario.
I would like to set up credit limit for a group of customer. such as BP A is subsidiary of BP B.
BP B have credit limit 100,000 USD. BP A have no credit limit, but using  credit limit of BP A.
I known in SD-credit, we can set up credit account of customer A in FD32 equal to customer B.
    Regards,
    Jenny

    Hi Jenny,
'Credit account' concept in FD32 acts as credit delegation to parent account.
    - this delegation turned out to be simple tool, but vulnerable to hedge group-wide credit risk.
In FSCM version, SAP has strengthen this 'week form' of risk management, which sometime has troubled us.
    FSCM has two kinds of credit control models for group-level credit control;
one is main/sub model and another is business partner relationship
Suppose you prefer to 'business partner relationship model'.
    * Scenario and expected result;
    'business partner relationship model' is different from 'credit account' concept, in that it both credit- checks for 'BP A' and 'BP B'. However, I guess that you could achieve goal if you set as below;
firstly, map BP A and BP B as business partner relationship
(BP A is lower, BP B is higher)
Secondly, assign to different risk category; BP A to no risk category, BP B to high risk category
(I supposed both A and B has same CCA(credit segment))
Thirdly, maintain 'OVA8'(Define Automatic Credit Control) differently
eg. no risk category => no message, high risk category => error message
    wish your test and verification.
    Best regards,
    TED

  • Credit Limit based on customer and material?

    Hello Gurus,
I've 2 diff types of goods..
    1) fast moving/ selling goods
    2) slow moving goods.
For a particular customer, I've assigned certain credit limit of say 10,000 EUR via FD32.
My question is, for the slow moving goods or one particular material/certain goods, I want to have higher limit--is it possible to configure to assign credit limit per customer/ material?
    Rgds,
    Raghu.

    Hi,
As preceding answer, it's not possible in standard SAP.
The credit check is on the totallity of sales order, not by item.
If you are in the same sales order different materials, what is the reaction of system ?
But, you have different options to check this :
    - Exclude material in credit check (according to material group for example)  by using requirement in OVA8.
    - Create a new condition type to check the credit limit in Ztable for customer/material. When you create sales order, a message is displaying according to your configuration (or blocking status for item).
You can compare Ztable (credit limit for customer/material) and another table for open orders.
    Just an idea.

    Lionel

  • Extend credit limit for particular term

    On credit management,
If I want to extend credit limit for only particular from-to date, how can i do it?
I know about "credit limit seasonal factor" on OVA8, but this customization can give
only percentage base. I want to extend by amount base.
    BR
    Y.Kaneko

    Hi,
Std SAP provides credit limit to be maintained as a seasonal factor only in %.
In case of amount based maintenance, the same has to be maintained/developed using a custom modification described in [this|credit limit; thread.

  • Total Credit Limit for Co. code

    Hi sappers,
I want to fix a total credit limit for Co. code sothat the aggregate of credit limit fixed for every Customer cannot exceed that total credit limit.

There is nothing as standard that will allow you to do this.
Not sure why you would want to restrict this.
However it can be done with a bit of coding.
You will need to make sure you Credit Control Area only had the single Company Code.
You would then need to store the total amount of the Company Code in a Z table.
You would then need to use a user exit in the change and create credit master record in FD32 to check the total of all credit limits for the credit control area was not greater than your total for the Company Code.
if this is too much for you, you will have to manage this manually and report on the total credit limits for all customers in the credit control area.

  • Credit limit sharing main customer and sub customers

    Dear all
Credit limit sharing main customer and sub customers. we have hierarchy to identified main cutomer and sub customers and different account groups. now in system we are using main customer payer for all sub customers also. in future we are going to share the credit limit sub dealesr also. wt are the possibilities to complete my requirements.
    Regards
    Venkey

    Hi Venky,
If i understood correctly. You wan to share main customer credit limit to all sub customer i.e. if main customer is having 5 Lacs Credit Limit the same amt you want to use for all sub customers.
If this is the scenario then assign the main customer in the sub customer Credit master as a credit account.
FD32 ---> Control Area Data ---> Status --->  Credit Account ( Under Credit Limit )....
Process to change the credit account: Perss F6 or from the status view Go to Edit ---> Change Credit acct...
    Hope issue may resolve..

  • Credit Limit for 2 customers

How do you setup an approval procedure to check a shared credit limit for 2 customers simultaneously? The credit limit is shared between the 2 customers which can be linked thorugh a UDF.
Example: Joint credit limit Cust1 and Cust2: $10,000
    Outstanding orders for Cust1: $5,000
    Outstanding orders for Cust2: $3,000
Available credit for any of them: $2,000.
If an order exceeds $2,000 in this example, it should trigger the Approval Procedure.
Cust1 and Cust2 can be linked through UDF U_CustGroup (or any other suggested field)
What would be the Query to use please?
    Thanks,
    A Castri

Hi Gordon, thanks again for response. The UDF will link a customer to its sibling (and back). Credit limit will be set at the same value for both customers. This is how I visualize it, but I don't know if a Query would be enough:
    TotAvailCredit = CreditLimit - (Balance Cust1 + Balance Cust2)
If Total from Quote or Invoice > TotAvailCredit then trigger approval procedure.
Do you still think an SDK-based development would be needed, or just a Query would be sufficient?
    Thanks,
    Andres

  • Payment/Credit Limit for Vendors

    Hi SAP Gurus!
Is it possible to impose a maximum payment/credit limit for Vendors in SAP?
I saw in this forums that it can be done through Contracts but in the contracts, you have to enter a material. Is it possible that you don't have a material and the contract will encompass all the transactions of the vendor?\
Hope to hear from you soon!
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    You can make use of following Features of Contract w/o materials;
    Item Categories in Contracts: -
Just as with purchase orders, you can enter an item category to define the item as an external service item, a consignment item, a subcontracting item or as a free-form text item.
    Item Category M (Material Unknown)
Item category M is for entering contract items without specifying the material number.
Item category M is recommended for similar materials with the same price but with differing material numbers.
    Example
Consider a contract item for different types of office paper. The various types of paper have the same weight, quality, and price. However, they differ in the following respects: One type is lined, another is unlined, and another has two holes on the left side for filing purposes.
How Do You Use Item Category M?
In the case of items of category M, you enter the short text (short description), target quantity, unit of measure, and price. As soon as a contract release order is created, the material number or a short text is entered (e.g. the exact type of paper, say, two-hole punched). The system determines the net price on the basis of the gross price entered, less any discounts.
    Item Category W (Material Group)
Item category W allows you to enter a material group without entering the value or quantity of the contract item. Item category W is for value contracts only.
    Example
Consider a contract for cable. The contract covers every type of cable on the vendor's price list. The exact type of cable is known only at the time a specific cable is ordered.
Instead of entering an item for every type of cable the vendor is able to supply, you could enter item category W and the material group (say, CABLE). The short text would indicate that the contract item covers all types of cable supplied by the vendor.
Each release order issued against this contract would then specify the actual type and quantity of cable (for example, double-shielded coax, 1 spool) as well as the price.
How Do You Use Item Category W?
When you create the contract item, enter the item category W, the short text, and the material group. You do not enter a price or conditions for the item. However, it is possible to specify conditions in the document header. For example, you can enter a discount in the header conditions if the vendor grants a discount on all Pos relating to the contract. The discount is automatically taken into account when the release order is created.
You can enter a material number in the contract release order. The corresponding material master record must be assigned to the same material group specified in the referenced contract item. If the release order does not have a material number, then it must contain a valid account assignment, such as a cost center.
