Profibus indicator lights/Comsoft Configurator "Online" menu not displaying

Questions from customer having trouble with recent PCI profibus card.
1. I have not seen any of the three indicators light up on the card since I have installed it. The card shows up in the Windows device manager as well as the NI-Max "Devices and Interfaces". I can "Open a VISA Test panel" and see "Stuff", so I assume that the card is functioning. Now to my question: Shouldn't one of the three indicators blink or something, if even to indicate that there is some kind of fault?
2. Following the instructions on the white paper, I have opened Comsoft's Configurator 2 application. The example shows there being an "Online" menu selection. I do not see this on my screen. I do not see a way to add the card from the Configurator 2 software, so I am not sure that I can go any further. Is there any more detailed documentation available concerning the addition of a card using the Comsoft Configuration tool?

1) The customer must explicitly follow the steps laid out in the Getting Started PDF. If it isn't followed, the card may not appear correctly in MAX. The Getting Started PDFs are installed with the COMSOFT VISA driver. Please ensure the customer has PXI/PCI version of the driver installed. The card should be appropriately identified in Device Manager and in MAX afterwards. When the card is accessed for the first time, then the ON LED will illuminate. The RUN will come on when we are attempting to do PROFIBUS communication. BF will come on only if we have an error on the bus. So until the card is accessed by code, none of the LEDs will come on.
2) I think a step may have been missed here. The online menu will not show up until a new project has been created in the Configurator. After that, the online menu will appear.

DW CS4 Horizontal Spry drop down menu not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer 8

Hi,
I have created a horizontal Spry drop down menu in Dreamweaver CS4 with my own background images. I have done various modifications to the CSS script to accommodate the style and feel needed; including making the main buttons' height twice the size of the sub menu buttons and some alignments. It seems to work different depending which browser is used.
It works well in Google Chrome.
It works well in Firefox with the exception that if any of the buttons are clicked, thereafter a thin black line is diplayed horizontally across center of the top main buttons when the mouse rolls over them. I would like to correct this but is not nearly as bad as the problem I'm having in Internet Explorer 8.
Here is my biggest concern and I would greatly appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this matter.
Once opened in Internet Explorer 8 the main navigation buttons appear as they should. IE8 prompts me the following: "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer. Click here for options..". Once I allow IE8 to run scripts or ActiveX controls, the background image disappears and only shows on any menu or submenu button when the mouse rolls over that particular button. Can someone please help.

Hello Nancy,
I was troubleshooting For the next 8 hours after my post here and eventually I got it right, I uploaded the files to the test server and at the time did not have the chance to post the solution here. This is why, as you saw, it is working correctly now. Both the CSS and HTML files needed modifications. While working on the code I had to run IE8, Chrome and Firefox simultaneously and refresh all three after every change in the code because what would fix the problem in one would cause a problem for the other.
In addition to the problems listed in my original post, there were also other graphical issues in IE8, such as; the main menu buttons without sub-menus would only display at half their size vertically. The border around the buttons would not display despite that the background images were rendered in Photoshop as flattened JPEGs with boarders as part of the background image. Being so, I removed all borders from the CSS script.
By the way.. the IE8 security measure did pop up while working from the server.
Anyhow for those of you who are experiencing similar problems you can take a look at the working code bellow and compare it to the initial code. I've included detail comments on every line I have changed, modified or added.
Good luck.. as I know it can become a complicated task when creating custom Spry menus.

Horizontal Menu Not Displaying Right in IE (Shocker!)

AppleTV menu not displaying.

I'm running the HDMI cable from my theatre system as I don't yet have a HD TV. The AppleTV light is on. Problem I'm having is the menu will not display. As I wasn't sure what 'input' to use, I tried them all and nothing! The theatre system display is on 'auxillary' Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

The reason that I was asking is that it sounds as though you are expecting the HDMI from the Apple TV to be converted for component from the theatre system. This isn't possible, purchasing another cable won't help.

Configured new language not displayed in user profile Language options

I have a requirement to add new language in portal. In that I have configured the language u201Chindiu201D in portal content translation.Now i want to configure language options in userprofile.
These are the procedures I have followed
1 .On the file server navigate to
<Installation-drive>:usrsap<SID><Instance_ID>SDM
ootoriginsap.com com.sap.security.core.adminSAP AG<version_number>com.sap.security.core.admin.630.ear
From here extract the com.sap.security.core.useradmin.war.
2.In com.sap.security.core.useradmin.war file and add u201C hi = Hindi u201C in Language_en.properties
3.Create a copy of Language_en.properties, and save as Language_hi.properties at any location.
Now we have to do some changes with the help of configtool.bat
So start the tool by executing.
<SAPJ2EEEngine_installation>j2eeconfigtoolconfigtool.bat>
Now Switch to configure mode.
In the Tree navigate to cluster_data>>persistant>>com.sap.security.core.ume.services.
Now switch between view and edit mode and choose yes.
4.By right clicking on com.security.core.ume.service create a Sub node. And choose
File-entry and upload the language_hi.properties that you have created in previous step.
5.Create and Close the Window. And just restart all cluster nodes
                        After the above configuration, the language u201Chindiu201D is added and I can able to see the language in self registration Language options.but it is not displayed in userprofile language options.
                        how to configure this Please help me.

Context Menu not displayed in KM for users except Administrator

Hi Experts
Can you please suggest where the permission should be given in order to make context menu visible for users who are not super-administrators but are content admin?
We are facing issue with context menu not shown at all to the users.

You may need to look into the permissions on your Layout set and Resource renderer in use.

InContext Menu Not Displaying

The InContext Menu Item is not displaying under Insert menu
in Dreamweaver CS4.
I have checked for updates, there are none available.
Operating system is Windows XP with latest service packs and
patches.

Mavericks Server Open Directory Configure Network Wizard not displaying

when setting up the open directory master in mavericks server i get a empty servers list and no drop down to create a new one. Any ideas on how to force it to display the wizard?

You might want to try and flush the configuration, reboot, and try again. Try this command to remove all remnants of an OD master. All data will be deleted.
slapconfig -destroyldapserver
If the wizard still does not display, make sure you DNS is working properly. And as a final attempt, use slapconfig to create an OD Master.

Online Help in Help Menu not displaying

When selecting iTunes Help under the Help menu, I am only getting a blank screen, never any content. Other Help menus in other apps are working correctly.

David - couldn't open your link: but deleting the helpviewer preferences file (com.apple.helpviewer.plist)from preferences folder in your 'username'library should fix the problem (also fixes problem with help menu in other ilife applications e.g. following installation of ilife'11).

Satellite A300 Function keys drop down menu not displaying

Hey guys,
i think when i was deleting a whole heap of programs i may have deleted something i shouldn't have by accident. When i press and hold the Fn Key and then press one of the function keys (F1-F12), the computer no longer displays the drop down blue menu that it used to. The function key still works but i can no longer see what function i have selected. (i.e. turn blue tooth on/off or see which monitor i am selecting) The light still illuminates on the key board to indicate that i have pressed the function key it is just the drop down menu no longer appears.
Any help you can give would be great.

Hmm thanks for that the problem is that during the deletion of all the programs i also did a clean and removed all my restore points as well, will this stop me from restoring the OS or can i still do this, also not sure if i can install VAP. given i didn't look for or delete the previous one (may be the problem) but before i came to the forums here i found and tried to install the new VAP and it couldn't find the files required for it and shut itself down.

Spry menu not displaying right in IE

Again, I am very new to Dream Weaver, I need help...IE problems...
my site looks fine when previewing in firefox, chrome, safari, when I preview in
IE5.2 there is a small white line appears at the top of the footer and the menu looks fine until I hover the menu bar, it stretches out of the left side-bar across the page.
When viewing in IE on a PC laptop... it's totally mixed up!
Can you help?

I have had a look in IE7and IE8 and do not see any mix-up.
Having said that, there are a number of mods in the CSS that are confusing, such as

And so you should not worry about this. But if it does please send a link to your website in question.

3D Menu not displayed Photoshop CS6 Extended

Hi all,
I have just installed Photoshop CS6 Extended from adobe.com as the trial, but after installing it I don't see the 3D menu at the top.
I have tried reinstalling several times but still no 3D menu.
I have a ASUS GTX550Ti graphics card with 1gb of ram so I thought this would be sufficiunt.
Also running windows 7 64bit.
Any help appreciated.

People report this from time to time. Adobe's response has been along the lines of "of course the trial will show you the 3D menu", ignoring the fact that a user is reporting that it doesn't.
Did you get the Photoshop trial software directly from Adobe.com?
It's not a problem with your hardware being insufficient, because if the GPU or OS/driver weren't up to the task the 3D menu would be there, just grayed-out. That you're not seeing it says that the installer has done something wrong and has set up the trial to run as the Standard edition somehow.
Unfortunately, no one has reported a sure way to make the Extended features show up in the trial so far, since mostly the problem has been dodged, but here's what I'd suggest.
Uninstall the trial, then run the Adobe Create Suite Cleaner Tool, then try a reinstall.

Widget menu not displaying correctly

Hi,
I've created a web site and uploaded it to the FTP server to check it works OK and I've found the home page menu doesn't display correctly, but every other page is OK.
The drop down 'sub-menu' is getting clogged up in it's layout.

Because the menu is generated by Muse as a widget, (I've just edited colours etc) why should 1 page display differently to the others?
I have this in the Master file, so I'm not making duplicate menus on each seperate page... the one widget serves all the pages.
Any ideas?

If you have inserted the menu on the Master page, then ideally it should appear even and remain unselectable/uneditable on all of the content pages.
Does the menu appear distorted in Design mode for the homepage too or only when you preview in browser/after publish?
I believe you're using the "All Pages" menu type and by looking at the screenshots, it appears that the Products menu item is overlapping the Education menu item. Did you try making a copy or delete the menu and re-insert in Master page? Can you do a Select All on the Home page and check if you don't have an identical but mis-aligned manual menu overlapping the original menu?
If the problem persists, can you share a link to the website for us to have a look?

Smartbar menu not displaying in web mode

I am running 6i web forms on a Solaris 8 box.
I have two forms which are very similar. In client/server mode both show the default&smartbar menu. In web mode on Solaris, one of them does, the other doesn't. I cannot see why they do not show the menu and icon bar. I am testing the forms standalone, so there is no external influence. There is no hide_menu or similar.
Any thoughts please ???

UI_ICON is used in client server mode only, not in web forms.
Put your icons in a directory, e.g. c:\myapp\icons, and map a virtual directory, e.g. /icons.
Change registry.dat (see previous entry for the path):
default.icons.iconpath=/icons/
default.icons.iconextension=gif (or jpg)
There are a few other options to display icons. You can put them all together in a jar file, for instance. Furthermore, the way you modify registry.dat also depends on a lot of factors.
