Profile deployment

Our company has offices in The US, Australia and China all using different SSID's and security.
Is there a way to copy the China profile to a US user and vice versa so when users travel there is a seemless connection?
We have already exported the profile from each location and we know that we can manually import it but we're looking for an automated way to do that. We'd like to copy the profile to a user and have auto select profiles setup?
Is there a registry entry that we can import or do you have any other suggestions as to the best way to approach this?

copy the *.xml or all the .xml under /etc/cwsi/user/admin/ *.xmlo.xml move it the specified users and in windows is cscopx/cwsi/etc I think , it is the same for Windows and Unix
1. /CSCOpx/campus/etc/users/admin
2. copy the files in the admin folder *.xml
3. Then move those files to the user..

  • A config profile deployed on my devices without my permission.

I believe a config profile deployed on my devices without my permission to access my information. These are consumer only products (iPads and iPhones). Is this legal  and what can i do to remove them?  Profile does not show in settings. I see info via the diagnostics and usage data. I tried wiping all devices but does not remove it. Please help.

What profile?  Where are you seeing this?  What's it called?  Is your phone enrolled in an MDM server???  If you don't see anything in Settings -> General -> Profiles, then none are installed.

  • Using ASA as an Anyconnect profile deployment tool

I have a requirement to use an ASR router as a IKEv2 headend for Anyconnect clients.  For ease of deployment, I want to use the ASA firewall to enable users (multiple OS - Win/Mac/Linux) to download their respective Anyconnect clients as well as the profile needed to connect to the ASR.  Note that the ASA is only used for AC and AC profile downloads, it takes no part in any VPN termination.  Users will just point their browser to the ASA firewall web page and download both the AC client and the profile, then they will launch the AC and connect to the ASR router.
My question is, can this be done?
    Thank you!

Yes, I want to deploy the software independant of any ASA VPN connection.  From the Admin guide:
When deployed from the ASA, remote users make an initial SSL connection to the ASA. In their browser, they enter the IP address or DNS name of an ASA configured to accept clientless SSL VPN connections. The ASA presents a login screen in the browser window, and if the user satisfies the login and authentication, downloads the client that matches their computer's operating system. After downloading, the client installs and configures itself and establishes an IPsec (IKEv2) or SSL connection to the ASA.
On the last sentence, I need the client to establish an IPSEC connection to the ASR, not the ASA.  Just wanted to confirm that this can be done.
    Thank you

  • ISE Profiling Deployment

We are starting a ISE deployment to segregate mobile devices (Iphones and IPads, initially) from corporate notebooks. We have a single SSID and two separate vlans, one for mobile devices and another for corporate notebooks, assigned by ISE. We successfully setup profiling in lab environment, with a few devices, but when we put in production  we had problems with devices not being profiled correctly. Since devices are not profiled their access are denied. Since devices are denied the cannot be profiled because ISE doesn´t see any traffic (DHCP, HTTP) from clients.
What strategy are you using to deploy ISE profiling? Must I put ISE to listen our network for some time before segregating access?

    Hi
I've had the same problem with first time users being denied, that's due to ise not being able to profile before it denies.
I think they should come up with something that will profile devices then continue the authentication process.
Someone mentioned doing a re-auth for couple of seconds. (see attached pic how the authorization rule looks like), that could save you from people being denied for the first time, but if your device is never being profiled then it will just spin there all the time re-authenticating.
What you could do is also setup an unrouted VLAN and all the unknown devices stay there until profiled.
I've talked to cisco and they recommened the same thing so I guess that's it for now
What we have done before deploying ISE and it worked pretty good is I have forwarded all DHCP traffic to ISE before deploying ISE at that particular site, so DHCP forwarding ran for few days and I've already had their devices in my database and when I deployed it, it worked pretty neat
By forwarding all dhcp requests I mean:
We have Active Directory and DHCP servers centrally located, so in the router config I've added helper address to ISE ip address and that's it
Now WLC 7.3 has DHCP PROFILING and HTTP PROFILING options.
Http profiling sends first https packets to ISE and capturing USER-Agent string, that helps if you browse with safari, but if you use any other application that uses http traffic it will end up totally wrong.
example you connect with your iphone to wifi and open up VIBER, ISE will capture viber_blabla_smth as user agent and will not profile accurately.
    Hope it helps

  • Desktop profiles, deploying new services, and existing users

On our development box, I have one user, uid=mcoarr, that was created soon after the portal server was installed. So I started deploying services to this organization and they were not being made visible to the user's desktop. More explicitly, I was defining a channel, and then adding that channel to the available and selected list for the MyFrontPageTabPanelContainer.
So then I created a new user, uid=mattcoarr2. Immediately that user saw the appropriate services on the desktop (that is, the new channel that was defined).
Upon making additional changes to the desktop (adding more channels), uid=mattcoarr2 picks those changes up, but uid=mcoarr does not see any modifications.
Anyone have any thoughts on what might be happening?

Ok, if you want all the details. . .
We have have the root organization, o=mitre.org, and we also have a suborganization o=yahoo,o=mitre.org. Ldap authentication is only setup on the yahoo suborganization. Membership authentication is setup on both orgs.
Here's where I think the user profiles actually reside:
    * uid=mcoarr,ou=People,o=mitre.org
(I'm not really sure how the mcoarr user account is being mapped to by ldap authentication configured under the yahoo suborganization)
    * uid=mattcoarr,ou=People,o=mitre.org
    * uid=mattcoarr2,ou=People,o=yahoo,o=mitre.org
For the yahoo suborganization, looking at Authentication | Core, there is an attribute called "People Container for All Users". My understanding of this is that the user is authenticated by any of the various authentication mechanisms (ldap or membership in my case), and then the user's profile is looked up from this location. For the yahoo suborganization, the value of "People Container for All Users" is "ou=People,o=yahoo,o=mitre.org".
BTW, I am logging into the yahoo suborganization and to the base organization with the following urls:
    * http://grouper.mitre.org/amserver/login?org=yahoo
    * http://grouper.mitre.org/amserver/login

  • Iphone configuration utility profile deployment problem.

We are currently try to deploy a profile to 1500 new iphones, we have cjhoosen to do this via the web and have created a configuration profile.
we want to have one profile for all users, so on the exchange tab of the profile we have left all fields blank except for the exchange activesync host field
when we go to the website we are prompted to install the profile which is ok but instead of being prompted for a user name and email address we are just prompted for a password??
obviously we can not connect as it hasnt prompted us for a user name.

we have now found what seems to be causing this.
there appears to be a bug in the software that if you leave the email field blank it doesnt remove the email field from the XML file. this has to be removed manually
As soon as you do this the auto deployment works.
the only issue with this is you can not sign your config profile as when you manually remove the line in question it breaks the authenticity.

  • Configuration profile deployment confirmation

    Hi guys
    Kinda need your help
What I need is a way to remotely deploy the profile to the end user. What I understand is, I can use an exchange server or come up with my own SCEP server. My question is: after I clicked the sync button, how am i supposed to know if the device(iphone) actually get the profile? and how do i know the installation of the profile succeeded? Does the sync server just tell you if profile went through or installed?
I don't have an exchange server or a SCEP server. So, my question might be a dumb question. In that case, forgive me...
But, I do need some help
    Thx in advance

    Dear,
Deletion of configuration profiles without engineering change management is only possible if no configured objects (such as sales orders) exist.
Go to CU42 enter the material and click on delete SHIFT+F2
Or go to profile Overview Screen and then changed the Status to "Locked"
Please refer the OSS  Note 184514 - Deleting configuration profiles with ECM.

  • AC 5.21/5.30 - Profile Deployment - WPA Key

    Hi Together,
I'm currently tuning our setup for installing our new T400 laptops, and I'm haning at the location profiles. I want to include the WPA Key in the LOA File, everywhere is written that its no problem, but I actually can't find a point to add it / README to get trough it....
Can somebody may give me a tip?
I tried it by adding the saved REG part for the Key, but thats not working...
    Thanks in advance!
    Kind Regards
    Klaus
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

unfortunately, there was no popup coming up when choosing the WLAN profile...
its working now, the solution/problem was:
I used the "AdminEnabler" for winXP in Version 4.xx, as there is no version available for download on the lenovo HP
=> I now used the AdminEnabler for WinVista on the WinXP laptop
isn't that strange? i thought the Enabler is just ticking a radio box inside the AccConn to show the buttons...
    Thanks for help

  • Convert Deployment profile to ant tasks

There is any utility to convert deployment profiles (.deploy files) to ant tasks? We are working with Jdev 10.1.3.2
    Thank's in advance.

    Julio,
Nope. 11g has a nice utility called "ojdeploy" that can be called from ANT, but no help in 10g.

  • Deploy Symantec certificate profiles to mobile devices using Microsoft Intune to manage company resources like WiFi

We are planning to deploy Symantec certificate profiles to Mobile devices to manage company resource like WiFi. I've seen documentation on Technet and the post here http://ronnydejong.com/2014/12/15/part-1-deploy-certificates-to-mobile-devices-using-microsoft-intune-ndes-overview/ that
we need to install Intune NDES connector which needs to be installed on NDES server. These docs are true when we are using Microsoft PKI.
Here, we're planning to use Symantec cloud PKI to deploy the certificates to mobile devices. So, I would like to know which are the required on-premises components ? NPS, NDES  or something else? Any documentation URL would be helpful ;) We're in planning
face hence the question in the forum.

Thank you Jason for the reply !
    Sorry for stupid questions !
Does that mean, NDES is needed only for initial enrollment process of a mobile device? We don't need it deploying Symantec certificate profiles to manage company resources like WiFi VPN etc... Or I'm totally lost here?
My understanding is : Mobile devices will get enrolled to Intune and that device will become a managed device. Now, the mobile device needs to get a connectivity to company resources like VPN or WiFi and for the we may need to deploy certificate profiles.
Isn't it ? So, you were saying for this process we don't need to have NDES. (or I'm wrong here as well).
If so, we'll be deploying a public certificate to all the devices via certificate profile deployment and the devices need to get connected with issuing authority to get a device specific private key before connecting to WiFi or VPN?

  • Email are not sync while deploying Email Profiles to Mobile Device through Intune

    Hi,
I am facing Email synchronization issue while deploying the Email Profiles Policy to Mobile Devices (Windows Phone 8.1, Ios and Androids all mobile devices).. through Intune .Email Profile deployed to Mobile devices but the emails are note getting downloading..
In my infra there is exchange Online  and also ADFS deployed in onpremise.. the Exchange Active sync is
outlook.office 365.com for any exchange online email accounts but there is some rules configured in ADFS that all the emails will routed through
[email protected], and through [email protected]
email are getting downloaded in mobile devices that currently configured through Airwach MDM sultions..
but, now i have to manage the mobile device through Intune and while deploying the Email profiles Emails are note getting downloaded ,even i tried to use outlook.office365.com
and [email protected] both as Active Sync Server name..
I haven`t any idea to solve this issue, please guide is anything i need to configure ion ADFS rule of Intune Attributes ( that will allow mobile devices to download the emails )etc..  please suggest for solution..
    Shailendra Dev

Intune really has *nothing* to do with the proper functionality of the e-mail client on the mobile device. All Intune does is create the profile -- what the e-mail client does with that information is up to the e-mail client.
Have you verified that the profile that Intune created is correct?

    Hello!
I still have the same problem - Remediation failed - 0X87D1FDE8
