Profile File Invalid?

After 3+ years using Premiere Pro 2.0 I recently started getting an Error message while attempting to export 1-2 minute video clips out of Adobe Media Encoder.  the message 'Profile File Invalid' results when trying to export in any format.  Can someone please help.

Harm,
Thanks for the response.  I will inquire about your response with some of my friends who are more computer savy than I am.  If you have time to detail how to go about the 'cleaning of the preferences' and the 'repair install' I would be most appreciative.
Happy New Year,

  • Profile File Invalid" and can't upload to Youtube form Elements v.4- ????

Problem with Adobe Premiere elements v.4 running on vista. When I try to upload directly to youtube I get a message" ! Profile File Invalid" and can't upload. I have to save the file to PC then upload. Can you help?

As Steve points out, YouTube made major changes to their accounts and the handling of those, when they partnered with Google, about the time that PrE 7 was in full-swing. It is likely that they have made more changes, so even PrE 8's direct upload might now be obsolete.
Now, PrPro has some great (for the moment) YouTube Presets for Export, it does not have that direct link for uploading, that PrE does. Still, either program should be able to do the Export/Share to a YouTube-compliant file, that can be manually uploaded.
Just be aware that YouTube changes their specs. very often, and that they will also re-encode anything that you upload. I always recommend that a user check the published specs. for files on a monthly basis, just to see if YouTube has made a major change, that might affect the specs. of the files that they want - at that moment in time.
YouTube is a "moving target," in many ways. They are so dynamic, because they are still defining that niche on the Internet.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • When I try to paste an CCI file into  a PSD, I get this message-   Could not complete the Paste command because the ICC profile is invalid. I need the layer to be an editable smart object! What's the solution?  Ron

When I try to paste an CCI file into  a PSD, I get this message…   Could not complete the Paste command because the ICC profile is invalid.
I need the layer to be an editable smart object! What's the solution?
    Ron

I received the file from my client. However, last week I had no trouble pasting the same file into a PSD file, as a smart object.
The color file is a label mechanical, which I place into a PSD file of the product. These are used for print ads and web graphics. The color is very critical and has worked really well for the last 4 years.
I have used the default color settings in Creative Suite and its been working fine. They are in synch and, I have no idea how to re-assign the color profile. I’m a graphic Designer, color correction is not something I would do normally.

  • Could not complete the paste command because the icc profile is invalid

    Hi. In PS CS4 & AI CS4.
I get the following error when I try to copy & paste a logo from Illustrator into Photoshop:
could not complete the paste command because the icc profile is invalid
I don't understand because the color settings are sychronized. I do this all the time. I have not received this error before.
    Thanks.

  • "Could not complete the custom command because the ICC profile is invalid"

I got the above message when I attempted to soft-proof an image in Photoshop CC on Windows 7 64-bit.
I had downloaded the ICC profile from drycreekphoto.com, specifically:
    http://www.drycreekphoto.com/icc/Profiles/IccFiles/Arizona/Costco-AZ-Tucson-NW-Lus.icc
and installed it by right-clicking on the downloaded file and selecting "Install profile"
Windows installed the profile in the following directory:
    C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color
Then in Photoshop CC, I did
View -> Proof setup -> Custom
But when I selected the above profile from the dropdown list, I got error message
"Could not complete the custom command because the ICC profile is invalid"
Does this mean that the profile is really invalid, or am I doing something wrong?
FYI I am new to color management.  This was my first attempt to soft proof an image.

I can't quite figure out how it got that way - it has part of an ICC profile structure, but quite a bit wrong.  Even debugging tools can't read it as an ICC profile.
It's probably the one file - let drycreek/costco know so they can replace it.

  • Weekly periods in profile file (.PER) with a 5-4-4 split

I'm trying to create a profile file with a full breakdown of periods from Half year to weeks using a consistent 5-4-4 weekly split for the months, except for the last month that will have 5 weeks (to make up the 53 weeks when needed).
When I try to create this application I get the following error:
<b>An error has occurred. Please contact your administrator.
    Show Details:
    Error Number:450
Error Description:Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment
    Error Source:Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Page On which Error Occurred: </b>
However there are no errors generated in either the error log nor the application event log.
Has anyone seen a similar error before?
    Thanks
    Mike Wesley

I have not seen that specific error before.
Generally, it is dicouraged to setup weeks as your periods because most systems do not produce weekly data.
There was a request for me to do the same thing you are trying. We had general ledger data monthly, but wanted some sales data weekly. We kept the period dimension with months as the base member. We added Wk1, Wk2, Wk3, Wk4, and Wk5 as members in the Custom4 dimension. This allowed us to load data as weekly whenever we needed to, but kept us from having 48 extra members and from disturbing the profile or the periods.

  • Receive: "Add Profile Failure: Invalid Profile XML" error when adding WWAN profile - Windows 7

I'm trying to import below XML profile to Windows 7 machine and no matter what profile i use (even the one it was on that computer originally it gives me an error.

    - closed the connection and run command: netsh mbn delete profile interface="Mobile Broadband Connection" name=TestProfile
    - and then tried to add the profile under changed name (no profile changes made): netsh mbn add profile interface="Mobile Broadband Connection" name="test.xml"
    - received very nice message: Add Profile Failure: Invalid Profile XML
    I'm stuck, help?

    Hey,
Got an answer. It required some debugging, but I end up finding it.
When you add that profile, system executes a function which compares Subscription ID tag with the one it has in system already. If one is already there then overwrites the profile, if NULL adds the profile. Problem is, as soon as any of
the profiles are configured manually to redistribute later, the Subscription ID tag is encoded. And window doesn't know how to decode it, so it fires an error.
The Subscription tag is an IMSI number, when you right click it on your connection and go to properties, you will see it there, 15 digits. Copy it and paste it to the XML file replacing encoded number.
    It works as a charm.
I leave deployment methods to you... :)
Not so happy to answer my own question, but what a heck... glad to help even one person :)

  • How can I get bookmarks moved to a new laptop when my old broken laptop can no longer launch Firefox but does still allow access to all of the Profile files such as places.sqlite

My old laptop appears to be a victim of Bit Rot according to an IT person who was here helping me. All of the support material I've seen so far related to moving bookmarks from one computer to another seem to assume that Firefox can be launched on the old computer (which can't be done in my case). I'd like to figure out how to use the files which may hold my extensive bookmark data while the old computer is still allowing me to access those files and save to a removable thumb drive.

Fortunately I seem to have found and still have access to the old Profile files you're mentioning but I don't know how to make use of them such that Firefox on my new computer can incorporate all the data they hold. Again, I'm not able to open Firefox on the old computer. Any ideas how to use these .sqlite files on the new computer to get myself operable how I had been w. Firefox on the old broken one?

  • What is the file name of the Profile file containing past e-mails etc

I backup to an external drive in uncompressed plain language format. My e-mails beyond 2014 have been lost from my C Drive but still exist on my external hard drive. But I can't find them as I don't know the Profile file name

Does the backup contain your Thunderbird profile at all?

  • My profile files are not visible in Finder (OSX 10.10 & previous). Can I fix this?

Mozilla help site instructions often start with locating the Thunderbird profile files. I can see these from within Tbird and with a Terminal command, but not with Finder. Why not? I believe I have message index corruption, but I cannot delete the index file as directed.

When you select Help/Troubleshooting Information and click 'Show Folder', does the profile folder not open in Finder?

Instead of deleting the index msf files, you can rebuild them by right-clicking a folder in TB, Properties, Repair Folder.

  • Adobe flash updater appears to lock user profile files in Windows 7

    Hello All,
I don't own any Adobe products, but I wanted to put this up so that others who run into this issue can find it, and hopefully Adobe will look into it if it's common.
This evening, I had just restarted my computer (Windows 7 RC), and after an usually long load time, I found myself loading into a profile other than my own.  Windows informed me that it has been unable to access my user profile and so had booted me into a temporary profile.  I noticed that the reason for being unable to access the profile was that it was being accessed (locked) by another program.  I rebooted.
This time when I logged in, I was taken to my own profile, but before it loaded, I received a message from windows stating that it has been unable to open the user profile, and at the same time I saw a prompt from the Adobe Updater asking me if I wanted to upgrade to the next version of Adobe Flash.  After closing the dialogs, my profile contained everything for my desktop, but my windows settings appeared to have all been disabled (meaning Windows Aero was turned off and everything looked...odd--like an older version of windows squeezed into the updated Windows 7 interface).
Taking a guess that the prompt from the Adobe updater may have been responsible for locking the profile while it was awaiting a response (somehow I guess it was running BEFORE windows loaded the user profile), I uninstalled all my adobe products and rebooted.
Issue solved. Presumably, installing the update when you first see the prompt and not waiting for another time after a reboot would also bypass this issue.
So it appears that the Update prompt locks the Windows user profile in Windows 7, which causes a problem because (maybe only on machines that don't auto login?) it appears to run before the profile loads: so it has a user profile file locked waiting for a response from the user, which can't come because the profile hasn't been loaded by Windows (so the user can't see the prompt), but Windows can't load the profile because the file is locked...sort of a soft dead lock (since I was sort of able to get in eventually).
Wanted to get this out, and was also wondering if anyone else has seen this issue.
    Cheers,
    -jfc

  • Upgrading to solaris 8 using a profile file

I have successfully upgraded from Solaris 7 to 8 on an E250, maintaining the integrity of my previous applications. Is there a way to use a profile file so that the upgrade is hands-free? I can do this already via a jumpstart server, but is there a way to do it while booting from the Solaris 8 CD???
    Thanks in advance,
    Kevin

I've never had any issues with CF8 locking on emails, we send thousands without any issues.
As for the script I have honestly never tried restarting CF from itself, but I'd try calling a Powershell script, which can do the restart in one move:
       get-service | ?{$_.name -match "Coldfusion 8 Application Server"} | restart-service
Haven't tried it but that'd be a good place to start I reckon.
    O.

  • InDesign ICC profile file location

In InDesign when exporting a PDF, there are different icc color profile files to choose from under the "output" section.
Most of the files are located in
    user/library/application support/adobe/color/profiles
But I have one file that I would like to copy to another computer, and I can´t find the darn thing.
Searching the whole mac does not give any results either.
Is there a second location for icc-profile files?
    Anyone?

Hey and thanks for your reply.
Yes, I have installed the driver package with no luck of finding the file on my new computer.
Im not entirely sure if the driver package I installed are the same as on my work computer. But I got the newest from Richo representatives, so its current at least.
I am suspecting the file Im looking for came along with an online update via the App Store. I remember updating Richo something something :/.
Although the drivers are installed on my new computer, I cant fin the file, and I get no update request in App Store. Maybe my new computer has to be connected to the printer?
    I dont know.
Strange thing. I cant remember the last time I could not locate a file on my own computer.
Search reveals nothing. Invisible file search does not either.
