Profile Manager: Change default ports (80/443)?

I was never able to figure out how to do this with Mountain Lion Server (thus we were never able to utilize Profile Manager), but I'm hoping this may now be possible with Mavericks Server. Is it possible to change the default ports the Profile Manager web admin uses (80/443)? I already have another server running HTTP/HTTPS services on those ports, thus this would be a conflict.
The only other option would be purchasing a second static WAN IP, but would rather not have to do that.
Thanks,
Kristin.

Realistically you are not going to be able to change the ports used by the built-in Apple websites. Even if you managed to (briefly) do it, it is almost certain that your settings would get over-written by Apple later.
What you can do is change the port FileMaker uses. I would also say there is no benefit to running FileMaker Server on the same computer as Server.app and in fact as you have seen a potential disadvantage. Therefore using a separate Mac mini without the Server.app installed is another option.
See http://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/215/~/specifying-a-port-number -for-instant-web-publishing
For what it's worth RoundCube is nothing to do with FileMaker either. If you have not already seen it you can get an easy to use installer for RoundCube here http://topicdesk.com/downloads/roundcube and it will work on the same Mac as Server.app and is compatible with the latest versions.

    But My application has been developed in past that is using IWS4.1 .
    Right now , we are not having budget to migrate it from IWS4.1 to IWS6.1.
    And the pointer for changing the port from magnus.conf is also correct but
    I need to make it default port.
    That means If would not specify any port number out of two port request goes to default one.

  • How to change default port in 9.2?

    Hi,
    In 8.1, when I run config wizard, I may assign listening port. But I could not do so in 9.2. I tried to modify startscript.xml and tokenValue.properties under base_domain\init-info\, it did not work. Does anyone know how to change the default port 7001 to other port?
    Thanks

    <p>Login via the console, select environment, servers. Select your server, you should see the greyed out Listen Port attribute (you should be in the general tab). Click lock and edit on the top left hand corner of the console and edit your listen port.</p>
    <p>The config.xml does not explicitly define stanzas for some default values (Same as earlier releases), I personally don'tlike this. If you change the default value it should reappear in it.</p>

  • Change default port to 80

    Hi everyone,
    I am trying to change the default port of APEX to port 80. I performed all the steps described in the documentation or in this thread HTMLDB Port Number but I am getting the following error when trying to start the HTTP Server from oracle user : apachectl is not owned by this user.
    Do you have any idea why I am getting this error, or someone experienced the same issue ?

  • Change default port used for FlexUnit reports

    Good day,
    I have recently set up a CruiseControl server that runs two concurrent builds. Most of these builds contain FlexUnit tests. I am well aware that the default port for FlexUnit task is 1024 and I know that only one listener can access the port at one time. I tried passing a different port number but the flexunit task hangs. So, I was wondering if anyone has tried changing the default port to something other than 1024.

    Hi Michael,
    I created a bug for tracking, as you requested (https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FXU-153).

    Right after the IP Address, I enter a colon followed by the port to which I'm connecting. This works great. I also downloaded an application called CoRD which works really well.
    As an aside I have to say that I'm disappointed at the Apple community for not responding to this post. I'm a long time Windows user (since there was a Windows) and I've always had posts in the Windows Forums answered within 24 hours. I've had questions in the past on other Apple related issues which also have gone un-answered. If this is the de-facto standard .. I'm beginning to get nervous.

  • CHANGING DEFAULT PORT

    I purchase the app Splashtop Remote Desktop . It says to use  2 default port #'s to get sound on my IPad. How do I go about doing this. I have Windows XP.

    I don't believe that it's possible.  Do you have a mechanism to contact the app publisher?
    Also, please do not use the super-sized bolded font.  It's extremely annoying.

  • How to change default ports for task flow application?

    I deploy a task form with the following hwtaskflow.xml information:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <hwTaskFlows xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/workflow/hwTaskFlowProperties">
    <ApplicationName>worklist</ApplicationName>
    <LookupType>LOCAL</LookupType>
    <TaskFlowDeploy>false</TaskFlowDeploy>
    <TaskFlowServer>
    *<hostName/>*
    *<httpPort/>*
    *<httpsPort/>*
    </TaskFlowServer>
    <hwTaskFlow>
    <WorkflowName>ApproverHumanTask</WorkflowName>
    <TaskDefinitionNamespace>http://xmlns.oracle.com/MyApp/MyComposite/MyTask</TaskDefinitionNamespace>
    <TaskFlowId>MyTask_TaskFlow</TaskFlowId>
    <TaskFlowFileName>WEB-INF/MyTask_TaskFlow.xml</TaskFlowFileName>
    </hwTaskFlow>
    </hwTaskFlows>
    When I deploy the form then check the task URI in EM I see
    Host name: server host name
    HTTP port: 80
    HTTPS port: 443
    I know I can override these ports in the hwtaskflow but what if I want HTTPS port left blank? We don't have HTTPS active on our server. Another server in our environment only populates the HTTP port (HTTPS port is left blank) but I'm puzzled why the different behavior.
    Can anyone tell me either how to specify a "blank" HTTPS port in the hwtaskflow or, preferably, how to change the server configuration so that HTTPS port is not filled in when I deploy the task form? We are wanting a completely automated deployment and presently we have to manually remove the HTTPS port via EM after deploying. Argh!

    Jon,
    May be you already figured out the solution nevertheless i will answer your questions.
    1. Turning off the https port - give value as 0 for httpsPort in your hwtaskflow.xml.
    Second reason why your custom hwtaskflow is not getting picked up is you have set the TaskFlowDeploy as false.
    If you set this as true , and specify your cluster address you should be all set.
    for eg : - your cluster host address is somename.cluster.com with only http configured at port 80 lets assume.
    Then your hwtaskflow should look like this
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <hwTaskFlows xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/workflow/hwTaskFlowProperties">
    <ApplicationName>worklist</ApplicationName>
    <LookupType>LOCAL</LookupType>
    <TaskFlowDeploy>true</TaskFlowDeploy>
    <TaskFlowServer>
    <hostName>somename.cluster.com</hostName>
    <httpPort>80</httpPort>
    <httpsPort>0</httpsPort>
    </TaskFlowServer>
    <hwTaskFlow>
    <WorkflowName>LeaveRequestTask</WorkflowName>
    <TaskDefinitionNamespace>http://xmlns.oracle.com/BuildApplication/BuildProject/LeaveRequestTask</TaskDefinitionNamespace>
    <TaskFlowId>LeaveRequestTask_TaskFlow</TaskFlowId>
    <TaskFlowFileName>WEB-INF/LeaveRequestTask_TaskFlow.xml</TaskFlowFileName>
    </hwTaskFlow>
    </hwTaskFlows>
    This will automatically pick up the values on deployment , other play you can configure this is in your em console as well.

  • Term Store Management: Change Default Label

    I have merged two entries together (for the sake of this discussion, lets call them 'cat' and 'feline'). The Default label is currently 'Cat' and 'Feline' has been added to the Other Labels as part of the merge process.
    I actually want the default label to be 'Feline' but I cannot change it in the term store manager. I have tried adding 'Cat' into Other Labels (in case Default Label can only show one of the existing labels) but that too fails.
    The message I get is 'This operation cannot be completed. The terms store may be unavailable.' But I am able to add other entries to the Other Labels list (e.g. 'Lion') without any problems.
    How can I change the Default Label and also add the existing Default Label to the Other Labels list?

    OK, went back and tried again today and was able to get it to work first time.
    I changed the Default Label from 'Cat' to 'Feline' and changed the Other Label entry 'Feline' to 'Cat' in a
    single step and then saved.
    I believe I tried this before (in addition to various permutations of attempting this in multiple steps) so either I am mistaken and was doing it wrong before, or the initial merging of terms takes time to fully implement (during which some changes are restricted),
    or SP2010 is just a bit flakey. Having spend a few weeks on SP2010 now my money is on the latter option...

  • 2720 Fold ; Expense Manager change default currenc...

    Hi
    I have just bought a new Nokia 2720 Fold mobile.  It has some interesting features.  However, there is NO information in the user instructions about how to set up and use the Expense Manager or how to change the default currency symbol.
    The symbol defaults automatically to $ and there is no apparent way that I have found to change it to £ or any other symbol.  Since Nokia is used worldwide I have no idea why they  would compulsorily make the $ sign a default and unchangeable.  After all not every one lives in the U.S.!
    Does anyone know how to change the $ sign to £ or anything else?
    Thanks and regards

    Hi Lukas,
    your are right. In the trip schema the default values for a trip can be defined.
    All this customizing is under the node "Trip Status" which actually means that these default values only apply if the user calls the subdialog "Trip Status" in PR05.
    If the user saves a trip after changing it, then a different status is applied.
    Actually this is the result of my testing and not documented as such.
    I would like to know if the trip status for the "save" can be customized or if it is hardcoded.
    Best Regards and a nice weekend ...
    Wolfgang
    Indeed. Then you'll have to overwrite it programatically in SAPMP56T / MP56TF00 FORM SET_STATUS_TRVPA. You'll see at the end of the Form Routine ABREC is always set to '1', i.e.  ptkxx-wax1x = 'X'. If I was in your shoes, I'd make an implicit enhancement at the of the form routine, clear  ptkxx-wax1x and set  ptkxx-wax0x = 'X'. That should do the trick.
    Cheers, Lukas

  • Changing default port on deployed Web Service

    Hi,
    I have developed and deployed a Web service with HTTPS security level. When I check the generated WSDL, I get a correct URL. Bet when I analyse the content of the WSDL, all URLs are formed as:
    <import location="https://domain.fr:-1/..." />
    <address location="https://domain.fr:-1/..." />
    Why do I get the -1 port on all the WSDL's URLs ? How may I get rid of this ?
    Thanks in advance for your help/

  • Restore Profile Manager server

    Hi,
    We had some failing storage for ESXi which destroyed a Profile Manager server. We will use a backup to restore a slightly older version and re-enroll the devices that was enrolled after the backup was created.
    Has anyone had any experience in restoring a Profile Manager server in any other way and without having to re-enroll all the devices? I guess it's not possible if server keys are lost?

    You have to bear in mind there is no hard relationship between a protocol (e.g. 'HTTP', 'HTTPS', etc.) and port number. Any protocol/service can run on just about any port. Sure, there are conventions (HTTP -> 80, SMTP -> 25, etc.), but you are free to override those in your own configuration.
    In addition, Apple's listing covers the default ports used by the various Apple-provided services and configuration, so yes, you'll find multiple 'HTTPS'-based services listed, but that's not to say they're being used because you might not enable the associated service.
    For example, if you don't use JBoss then the 9006/8080/8443 ports might not be used.
    So it's up to you to look at the services you're using, to determine which ports they're using, and configure the network accordingly.
    If you're only running standard web services then you should only need port 80 (and 443 if you're using HTTPS), although it looks like Profile Manager also uses port 1640.
