Profiler stopped once intstalling flash player debug 10.1

Hey
Any idea on anybody why profiler stopped working after i added the flashplayer 10.1 ?
I can debug the flash builder project but when i try to use profiler builder says Unable to connect to the application to fetch profile data.
how can i fix this?

Below are the details of what i'm being experiencing:
Issue:
1. no flashlog.txt generated when running application in flash player 10.1* debugger in both IE and FF/Chrome.
2. I can see that when I heat profile, mm.cfg gets edited with apropriate line that is path to profile agent.
3. Also if there are exception, they are thrown in all the browsers, so I definitely have debugger version.
4. Finally, when trying to profile the error "Unable to connect to application to fetch profile data...".
Configurations:
1. my profiler agent folder path  is in trusted location in "Global Security Settings panel".
2. I've tried also to cancel this configuration, still get the same profiler error.
3. my computer is in the domain but no special configurations, i.e.: mm.cfg is in local users folder "C:\Documents and Settings\[my user name]". My  desktop is set to default location: "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop" in registry.
4. My system has only one network adapter that is configured by DHCP, i.e.: default configuration.
5. My system was upgraded to SP3 just to check if it solves the problem, but with no results as you can understand
System: Win XP SP3
Player Version: WIN 10,1,53,64
Debug: YES
Rolling back to Flashplayer 10.45.2 soves the problem!!!

  • Flex Builder 3 Beta 3 Debugging not working with latest Flash Player Debug

    First to emphasize that never had such issues with Flex
    Builder 2 Beta 2 and Flash Player 9.0.47 Debug version.
    I downloaded Flex Builder 3 Beta 3 and installed it. Then
    trying to debug any Flex app (old or newly created) does not work.
    I don’t get any errors, but after some research I saw
    it’s nagging up on trying to connect to the Flash Player
    debug version.
    1. Uninstalled old versions of Flash Player (FP).
    2. Downloaded latest debug version of FP 9 (9.0.115) and
    installed it both for IE and Opera (Netscape-compatible).
    3. Installed Flex Builder 3 Beta 3.
    4. Created a simple Flex app.
    5. Ran it in debug mode.
    6. Showed a small window with title “Progress
    Information” and a progress + text: Waiting for Flash Player
    to connect to debugger…
    7. Two minutes later I got the error: “Failed to
    connect; session timed out. Ensure that: 1. You compiled your Flash
    application with debugging on. 2. You are running the debugger
    version of Flash Player.”
    Any idea what is wrong? I tried to download an older debug
    version but then FB 3 Beta 3 raises the error it’s expecting
    version 9.0.115. I searched to download FB3 Beta 2 (because I
    deleted it after downloading Beta 3) but unfortunately Adobe did
    their best to wipe it out from their links.
    Any help is welcome.

    Hi Dimitar,
    Did you close all the browsers (and applications which use
    Flash Player) when you install Flex Builder 3 Beta 3 or Flash
    Player? You can try manually installing it from <FB install
    location>/player/ directory. Here're some
    installation/unintallation instructions of Flash Player:

  • Why does Flash/Flex Builder 4 Premium downgrade to Standard when I install Flash Player Debug?

    Why does Flash/Flex Builder 4 Premium downgrade to Standard when I install Flash Player Debug?
    I installed a corporate install of Flex/Flash Builder 4 Premium, and verified that it was the Premium version was installed.  The Start Page said that Flash Player was needed to display the text, so I installed Flash Player 10 Debug -- first download link from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
    When I then started Flex Builder 4, the splash screen showed Premium, but as soon as the Start Page was visible, it showed "FB Adobe Flash Builder 4 Standard" --- Help | About showed Standard, and the splash screen from then on showed Standard.
    A Google search showed a work around for this, but it requires a license for Premium, which I don't have because our corporate install has it built-in:
    http://bloginblack.de/2010/05/adobe-master-collection-cs5-breaks-flash-builder-4-premium-a nd-how-to-fix-it/
    1. Anyone know how to resolve this?
    2. Can Adobe fix this?
    Thanks!

    I had similar problem. I was involved in Flash Builder prerelease program and few months later I installed Adobe CS5 Master Collection. After that I had a same situation.  Best thing was, my Flash Builder Beta was Premium version but acted like Standard, and FB from CS5 was Standard but acted like Premium. I removed CS5 and beta version of CS5. used CS5 Cleaning Fix and then reinstalled my apps.
    I was lucky that I didn't have many big projects involved in FB beta or CS5 workspaces, I heard some guys had problems with migrated workspace configurations but I don't know what was the problem.

  • Flash player debug library is old at download page

    I downloaded flash player debug library for linux. I installed it, reloaded browser and checked it's version, but it is 10.1.85
    It seems flash player debug library for linux is old at the download page of adobe.com
    How can I use the newest debug player?

    Sorry, this is not something I can help you with here in the user forum.
    You either need to contact Adobe Support, or file a bug report at https://bugs.adobe.com/flashplayer/

  • Fox tab stopped working once adobe flash player 11 was installed on my mac OS X 10.6.8 it is just a black screen. If I uninstall, fox tab shows up and says I need to down load adobe again

    When I double click on the tool bar on the bottom of the black screen on fox tab, adobe settings shows up. I delete adobe then the black screen shows the fox tab again and says to view it I need to down load the latest version of adobe flash player.

    Tylerdowner, as a moderator, one would think that, prior to adjusting comments/solutions, especially when not having a Mac, you would do more research (bet you know someone with a Mac, to duplicate problem), or pass responding on to a moderator who does have a Mac (I am amazed that you are even a moderator on Mac problems/situations, if you only have access to a PC). Had the solutions above worked, I would not have needed to figure out another solution (we all know the newest release of anything is the most secure). Finally I am open to any fixes (tested) that you can provide, that improve upon mine. As a moderator, maybe you have pull with the Foxtab and/or Adobe people to get them to work out compatibility, and lastly, maybe add a warning at the Foxtab add-ons page, after verifying the problem yourself, with an associate's/friend's Mac.

  • Camera just up and stopped working with flash player. SUUUUPER annoying. Any ideas?

    Hi:
    Windows XP SP3 32bit, latest updates applied
    Firefox 3.6.6 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0E))
    IE 8.0.6001.18702
    Flash Player 10,1,53,64
    HP EliteBook 8530w with built-in HP camera (brand spankin' new).
    So Flash Player today decided it doesn't want to work with my webcam. I have pulled my hair out trying to figure out what the problem is. The camera works fine with other video camera software, such as Adobe Flash Live Encoder 3.1, for example, or the various Microsoft cam tools. But Flash Player just won't see it. When I visit a website that uses the camera through flash, all I get is a black box. I never get the privacy screen that asks me if I would like to allow the site temporary access to my camera.If i go into my settings, and go to the camera tab, it shows my camera device in the dropdown box. But you know how if you double-click the little box under the dropdown, it should activate your camera and display a little video inside that box? That doesn't work for me. All I get is this:
    It doesn't matter if I use FF or IE. I've re-installed Flash Player, both the FF version and the Ax version. To no avail. I've logged into my computer as a different user, because hell maybe it's some weird dumb thing in the Flash Player cache or something. Nope.
    Now here's the super, super, super annoying part: I just recently moved to this laptop and one of the things I was looking forward to was a computer where my webcam would FINALLY work with flash player again. Yes, that's right: my old computer had this exact same problem. And in both cases, at one point the camera worked with Flash player no problem, and then at some point, it just stopped working.
    This makes me think, of course, that the problem is some nefarious piece of software I've installed, but I can't think of what that is. I know the camera was working with my new computer as early as last week. Recently I've installed a bunch of software, including Adobe Media Live Encoder 3.1, Flash Professional CS5, and the Adobe Connect add-in. I've uninstalled everything except CS5, because, hey, who wants to re-install that if they don't have to? I'll do that as a last result, but the guy sitting next to me has the entire CS5 suite installed and camera works fine for him with Flash Player (same exact hardware too), so I don't think it's that. Other than that, I dunno. I've got VS2008 and 2010 installed. GoToMeeting. Office. That's about it.
    So. Any ideas? Any thoughts on how I could even start to debug the issue? Logging or something? Any help is much appreciated.

    Yes.
    Victory is mine.
    VICTORY IS MINE!!!
    Solution:
    Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg
    Set
    AVHardwareDisable=1
    to:
    AVHardwareDisable=0
    Restart your browser. Done. Camera works now.
    I really want to shout this solution from the rooftops, because try Googling the solution sometime. I did. I failed. You will too. Hopefully if I use some more 18-point bold font, Google will index it faster, because that's the way it works right?
    I actually had no idea that Flash Player has a folder in Windows\system32 at all, and I definitely had no idea that this file existed. I am guessing some stinking app I installed decided I needed AVHardwareDisable set to 1 for some reason (effers). I found out about the location by just lazily searching through the windows registry for "Flash Player" and eventually saw it pointing to that directory. A little more poking around and I found this file.
    Those of you who actively support this forum: please keep this in the back of your mind, next time someone has audio/video input problems with Flash Player. I've found an awful lot of forum posts from people with cameras not working, and I bet a good portion of them need this fix. Reinstalling Flash Player will not fix it. Here's hoping the solution comes up in Google for the next unlucky soul.

  • API for video profile selection in Adobe Flash Player

    Thanks to ActionScript 3, we are able to do programming with regard to Flash Player behavior,  extract info, etc.
    Since now Adobe Flash Player supports adaptive bit rate video, I wonder if there is an API for Adobe Flash Player so that we can set a fixed bit rate for a video stream on runtime?
    Thank you for your help!

    Try to install it manually.
    To begin with download these two files:
    * [http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe uninstall_flash_player.exe]
    * [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe install_flash_player.exe]
    These are direct download links so you won't see a page, merely the files which you see in the screenshot.
    Close Firefox and then run the uninstaller even if you think you don't have it installed.
    Next, reboot to remove the Registry entries.
    When the system reboots to the desktop, run the installer. ''Do not open Firefox first though''.
    Finally, go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ to test the installation.

  • Once again flash player info

    Ok so this is getting crazy. So talking about it on apple's forums is apparently not correct to do. They all say go to Adobe it is their problem. So I finally went to Adobe's forums. They say its really directed for apple to be asked. Yet they did say they were developing a flash player. Also it comes down to apple to let Adobe have free creativity. They say that the SDK is good but need apple to help some so it can fully be developed. So yes it is both their problems. So ya let's get it together people and get this flash done.

  • Flash Player Debug 14 incompatible with detect script

    The latest release of the flash debug player (14.0.0.125) breaks the HTML wrapper scripts which are distributed with flash builder and are widely used by flex and other flash based applications.
    More precisely the description returned by the plugin now reads "Shockwave Flash Debugger 14.0 r0" whereas the Release Player has "Shockwave Flash 14.0 r0".
    Previously it has been something like "Shockwave Flash 14.0 d0" and "Shockwave Flash 13.0 r0".
    Heres is the problematic code from the AC_OETags.js Script:
    function GetSwfVer(){
        // NS/Opera version >= 3 check for Flash plugin in plugin array
        var flashVer = -1;
        if (navigator.plugins != null && navigator.plugins.length > 0) {
            if (navigator.plugins["Shockwave Flash 2.0"] || navigator.plugins["Shockwave Flash"]) {
                var swVer2 = navigator.plugins["Shockwave Flash 2.0"] ? " 2.0" : "";
                var flashDescription = navigator.plugins["Shockwave Flash" + swVer2].description;
                var descArray = flashDescription.split(" ");
                var tempArrayMajor = descArray[2].split(".");
                var versionMajor = tempArrayMajor[0];
                var versionMinor = tempArrayMajor[1];
                var versionRevision = descArray[3];
                if (versionRevision == "") {
                    versionRevision = descArray[4];
                if (versionRevision[0] == "d") {
                    versionRevision = versionRevision.substring(1);
                } else if (versionRevision[0] == "r") {
                    versionRevision = versionRevision.substring(1);
                    if (versionRevision.indexOf("d") > 0) {
                        versionRevision = versionRevision.substring(0, versionRevision.indexOf("d"));
                } else if (versionRevision[0] == "b") {
                    versionRevision = versionRevision.substring(1);
                var flashVer = versionMajor + "." + versionMinor + "." + versionRevision;
        // MSN/WebTV 2.6 supports Flash 4
        else if (navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase().indexOf("webtv/2.6") != -1) flashVer = 4;
        // WebTV 2.5 supports Flash 3
        else if (navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase().indexOf("webtv/2.5") != -1) flashVer = 3;
        // older WebTV supports Flash 2
        else if (navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase().indexOf("webtv") != -1) flashVer = 2;
        else if ( isIE && isWin && !isOpera ) {
            flashVer = ControlVersion();
        return flashVer;
    For the Debugger "Debugger.undefined.14.0" is returned - which obviously is wrong.
    This is actually a critical issue for us with a good number of clients affected

  • Flash Player Debug version failing to connect

    Sometimes while debugging I get the following error (see in attachment)
    The only issue I found was to replace in the eclipse folder the FlashPlayer.exe by the Debug version downloaded from adobe, and it works after that. But the error comes again and I have to repeat the operation.
    I'm on Vista 64.
    Just reported the bug but if there is any others issues let me know :-)
    Cheers.

    Have you tried to configure Preferences->Web Browser window to specify the debugger browser you downloaded or installed? select "Use external Web Browser" and choose the one pointed to what you downloaded, give it a try as work around?

  • When I push to installl plugins Adobe Flash Player 10.3 comes on and runs for up to 3 hours without stopping. I cannot acces my classroom witout the plugin window popping up.

    When I log onto PMI for my classroom the install plugins window comes up, I press install and the Adobe Flash Player 10.3 pops up and it has been running now for 3 hours, is this normal? I have shut it down but had the same problem when I again tried to access my online classroom. What do I do?

    Hi, Sometimes users with understanding of what Adobe programs you are using will post. It doesn't happen very often.
    If you had a personal computer and had problems with Flash Player then of course this Forum would be where it would be addressed.
    Flash Player is used with all of the Adobe programs and when those programs are involved, then those Forums relate to Flash Player from those perspectives. Flash Player is not a standalone, that would be the Projector. Neither is Flash Player unrelated to the Adobe programs you use.
    These terms: fast switching the slides, the player crashes in cases, when a progressive videostream is canceled, Tweener, the gui for the volume control before the gui is initialized, so the player try to access a null reference. It is for me impossible to develope content
    told me clearly that your issue involves much more than Flash Player, debug or not.
    If you can see the animation at this site and the correct version of Flash Player is displayed, then Flash Player is Installed correctly and should be working. If not, then since I'm not versed in the programs you are using and possible conflicts, I would not be the one to assist you. So your choice is to wait here on this Forum for someone that can, or take my advice and start a thread on one of the other applicable Forums.
    Also you have a Mac. We have more threads that the Mac users put up than Mac helpers:-)

  • Add a control to stop the flash player

    Hi guys;
    Is it possible to add a client side control that will stop the player, for auto play third party flash player ads that auto play and force you to search for controls which are sometimes hidden by pop ups or other windows. I am sure everyone has experinced this annoying (especially when your speaker volume is turned up moderately) unsolicited type of advetising.
    I have no access to the third party scripts of course, but would like to add a flashplayer stop and play button that will function when clicked client side.
    I am not concerned with the function for my own flash player, but the adding of contols from my website that function and control at least the stop function of flash player client side.
    Please tell me it is possible, this has to be a sought after feature.
    Thank You

    Hi, I've been working on this problem on my computer, windows vista, for a while now
    and since nothing can correct this problem
    I just now discovered that there are two flashplayerupdateservice.exe on my hard drive!
    one in my windows\system32 directory and
    the other one in windows\system32\MacroMed\Flash
    exactly the same version, same everything, 11.6.602.180 both of them
    I suspect having two copies of the same program is what makes it crash.
    Can Adobe please fix this problem? It's just annoying, does not hurt and you can leave it alone
    and go on with your business, but it would be nice to get rid of that error message.
    Thanks
